Fantastic experience: Honestly I 1000% recommend this place I started off not knowing how to do a geared bike to feeling confident and comfortable, the instructor I had was Marc he was professional and honest with his opinions and he has a huge sense of humour and very talkative he would answer any questions you have as well, he also saw if someone was struggling and he will give them a talk and comfort them, im definitely coming back in future to do my full licence!

Fantastic experience: Really good experience there. Was part of a group of 3 being led by an instructor named Marc. I had never touched bike before the course and struggled a fair bit getting the flow of juggling the clutch, rear brake and the revs when turning. Marc was incredibly patient and really helpful. At no point did I feel like he was losing his temper with me. He got me through the CBT and I very much doubt I would have managed it with anyone else.

Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT yesterday with Marc Couldn't of gone better I borrowed all necessary bike gear which was very handy I was very happy with the bike supplied also .... I had never ridden a motorbike before but Marc was absolutely brilliant in every sense Patient, knowledgeable, a true professional. Positive experience: Yesterday done CBT at New addington center with instructor Ken. Ken was very professional, polite and honest. Did each and every modules completely and clearly. Lost 1 star for no proper office. The class room in a steel container. No facilities except toilet. Not atleast a bottle of water. Center is in remote area with no restuarant or shops near by. The time reach home, I was sick and tired due to low sugar and blood pressure.

Fantastic experience: Completed a CBT course with Phoenix. Can’t recommend them enough, instructor was excellent and gave a lot of valuable advice not just about riding but the safety and equipment needed to be safe and happy on the road.

Negative experience: I recommended this motorcycle training school for my partner, after i past with them years ago and it was disappointing to see how much they have changed. I see one guy was allowed to do the cbt without his provisional licence and i also saw two of the people were allowed to smoke when ever they felt like it and as well as causing distraction to the class continuously. At one point one of the guys started up his scooter when the trainer was still talking about what was the next steps were, which then affected my partner massively as she missed what the steps were and didn't feel confident to say she didn't hear properly. I saw a lot of time wasting from one of the guys also always leaving his helmet and gloves here there and everywhere when this time could have been used for 5 mins more pad work. In the end, my partner was told that she needed to do the continuation cbt. She is very devastated and puts this down to the distractions of the day as well as one of the guys constantly making snide and rude remarks to her during the day which knocked her confidence. She then got an email saying £110 for this continuous cbt yet previously was told £90. I will not be sending her back to the same centre, maybe another site. It is a shame as she can ride but needs help with the manoeuvres etc in order to pass appropriately and also do her DAS.

Fantastic experience: As a complete ‘newbie’ and having never ridden a motorcycle before, by the end of completing my CBT course(Addington)I felt confident and safe. Our mentors for the day were Jose and Charlie, who immediately made the group feel welcome and came across extremely professional, without being condescending. Negative experience: I learnt to ride a motorcycle here a few years ago and had a horrific experience. One instructor I had spent the entire day yelling at me. When I tried to broach the subject with the manager he cut me off and told me all his instructors were fantastic. I passed after failing twice but the experience has put me off riding for life.

Fantastic experience: Mark was my trainer for the day. Really great bloke, extremely skilled on the bike - it really is just like an extension of himself, and it’s really impressive to see, especially now I’ve had a go at riding myself. Really easy going and makes it a really light hearted experience, with all the information, advise, mentorship and encouragement anyone could ever expect, and more. In terms of constructive criticism, for my own personal learning style and needs, I found the light heartedness and general conversation slightly distracting and a hinderance to my ability to keep my inner monologue of instructions and check lists going - but this really is a personal preference. The training and environment was top notch and flawless really, and it would be unreasonable for me to expect the trainers approach to be tailored and perfect for me when I am one of 3 people being trained. The skills and information learnt really are invaluable, I’m surprised at how effective and important it is to do this, and how naive, clueless and dangerous I was when I rode on the roads in Spain . Fantastic experience: Yesterday I got my dream CBT certificate. I've never ridden a motorbike before. My first CBT wasn't successful, but thanks to Vince (despite 3 cute tippers on the maneuvering yard) I learned to sit on a motorcycle, start the engine and even ride a slalom ️. Later, all friendly and good skilled instructors from Phoenix Motorcycle Training in Crystal Palace made my riding even better. Yesterday's CBT was a big pleasure. My fantastic instructor Jose Mourino gave us a lot of valuable knowledge and improved our skills even better. The whole day of training with Jose was in a great atmosphere and the learning was really memorable. Jose was very helpful. If your dream is riding a motorbike, you should choose Phoenix. In Phoenix you will learn or improve safe riding on a motorbike and you will gain appropriate knowledge and useful skills. Finally, my dreams come true - so happy !!! Thank you Phoenix. Fantastic experience: Excellent experience here completing a CBT. Mark was the instructor on the day, any and all questions answered and thorough explanations where they were needed. The only thing I would say is to book with them directly. I booked through a third party who somehow messed up my phone number. This led to not receiving a message to inform me that training had been pushed back to 10:30 when I'd be told to turn up for 08:00. But I rang the office, Lisa answered, all figured out and problem solved with no fuss!

Fantastic experience: Whole experience with phoenix was great everyone from the office to instructors are proffesional and friendly. Renewed my cbt and then did the fastrack A2 license passing first time. Negative experience: I concur to what others have said. I seen with my own eyes how those who are non-whites are treated. They will intentially fail you whilst they pass those who are white. I have reported them to the CBT Complaints team.

Negative experience: If you are white they will pass you if you are not they will give you a very hard time. They are a bunch of charlatans. They took my money upfront. All the white learners they treat with kid gloves and others they since they already taken money they don't care. They are disgusting.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time on any vehicle and found it quite a challenge to say the the least. However the instructors were brilliant. They stuck with me and made sure that I understood what they were teaching. The bikes appeared to be brand new and were a pleasure to ride. I didn’t pass this time (no fault of the instructors) but I will go for the continuation coarse. I could not reccomend Phoenix more and will come back for all my progression courses! A massive thank you to peter and Stuart, you do an amazing job! Continued.... Came back today to complete the continuation course, and did just that. PASSED!!!!! I want to re iterate what I said in my previous review, the staff and Phoenix, from the admin to the instructors are amazing. Very professional and polite! This time around I had Steve B as my instructor. He was an absolute pleasure to be taught by. Thank you for your patience and information. Again, i cannot recommend Phoenix enough!

Fantastic experience: Excellent training for a CBT Marc and wynn were the 2 Instructors. Treated everyone fairly and respectfully. Both took the time on a cold January morning to make sure all 6 students were catered for effectively. There was some clear differences in level of student ability but the instructors helped those that needed through. 1 fault that almost lost a star.... No coffee no milk and no loo roll to help stop my nose running as it was so cold Will return to complete my full license as soon a possible. Thanks guys

Fantastic experience: I done my CBT on a very cold December day. I was extremely excited and I was not disappointed. Trainer was extremely experienced. The bikes were all mostly new. I was recommended to go to different CBT centre but came here purely down to the price and was not disappointed. In a few months I will be looking to do my full Bike licence and I will 100% consider the phoenix school. I wanted to write a review because its always nice for people who are just looking for as decent place to do their CBT

Fantastic experience: I am really happy with Stuart guiding me through my CBT day at Sidcup Test Centre. Excellent instructor, patient and very good at explaining details and making a rider even more confident. ************************************************************************* I am bit disappointed with the Phoenix office staff as having stopped my MOD1 training due to a conjunctivitis I got on a day of my MOD1 I 'didnt feel they were understanding of my unfortunate situation...as they failed to mention that if I wish to take CBT I can do it for more than half price if I buy a GROUPON for it as opposed to paying £100 (they only offered me £10 discount). You are a great school but if someone cant get through a full day training for £230 due to some health issues it would be at least nice if they were made aware they can get another training for a fraction of the regular price...

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT with Phoenix in Crystal Palace, and was advised that I should be fine with taking an intensive course for my A2 license. I booked on, and with really high quality and personal training over 2 full days (about 7 hours a day focusing on both Mod 1 and Mod 2) I took my test on the third day and passed both Mod 1 and Mod 2 on the same day. I now have my A2 license!! Extremely happy with the service received and if you're looking for motorcycle training I can't recommend Phoenix enough.

Despite I have got a full license in my country and having experience, Huw made everything very entertaining and enjoyable throughout the 8 hours. I really appreciate it

Fantastic experience: Just did my CBT yesterday. Both instructors were great, very patient with me (complete newbie to anything with an engine). They were happy to answer questions and I felt like I learnt a huge amount for one day. These weren't the closest place to me to do the CBT, but I'm glad I went with them. Definitely recommended.

Fantastic experience: Well it looks like you can teach an old dog new tricks! or at least these guys can. Over 5 days they taught me to ride and control a 750cc bike and then pass Mod1 first time with no faults and Mod2 First time with no faults! Brilliant trainers, Wynne, Steve, Dan and Mark. Fantastic experience: I did a good deal of research before picking your centre and I am glad that I did. Thank you very much Stuart, Steve 1, Steve 2, Helen, and the rest of staffs who helped me directly and indirectly at the Phoenix Croydon M/C training centre during my DAS training. The training offered was very helpful, explanations given were very thorough and repeated as many times as needed and they showed amazing patience whenever I made mistakes. I would not hesitate to recommend doing either the CBT or the DAS course, both of which I did at this centre. I must recommend it to anybody who is wishing to clear the exam at 1st attempt as they offered very professional training at a competitive price. The staffs are very experienced and have the attitude of teaching the students to learn good and safe techniques of riding. Unlike other schools, the pricing was very clearly explained and contained no hidden costs. Thanks again.So if you’re looking to do your bike test this is the place to do it. To summarise this school can’t be beaten on price, experience, facilities and sheer out and out quality of training. Not only would I highly recommend this school, I would positively discourage you from going anywhere else! Passed my DAS 1st attempt on Sep 3rd 2015

Negative experience: I strongly do not recommend this cbt centre as i came across many problems and was not fairly judged on top of that in the end i had got told i failed my test. Through out the driving part i noticed a group member made loads of mistakes such as overtaking the bus, not correctly one had fell of there bike n not using indicators. As well as not following instructions correctly another group member fell of the bike due to mot braking in time. Throughout this course i made 1 mistake which was not doing a lifesaver as i was looking in my mirrors but i was disappointed at the end when my trainer had told me i did terrible and to come back for £80 i fought were would i really get that money at 16 i saved for months for cbt nd had a bad experience with my trainer steven cause my whole group got a pass n i didnt.

Negative experience: Did an ERS course with Mark Jaffe along with a friend of mine. We have basically spent £250 to go out on a bike ride with Mark telling us where to position ourselves on a bendy road so we can anticipate better how to deal with oncoming traffic. Something I was already taught during my motorbike training when I acquired my licence. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER. It was a complete waste of money and a day off from work. And to add salt to the injury it has now been over 6 weeks and I still have not received any certificates. Would never recommend this to anyone.

Fantastic experience: DAS training, passed on my first try! Instructors and staff are very friendly and professional. Couldn't have passed both Mod1 and Mod2 on my first try without their training. Totally recommend them.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I was unable to attend a CBT due to a family member falling very Ill. Once I called to reschedule the course at the cost of loosing my first payment due to a very late cancellation (Fair enough) the company refused to offer me any monetary incentive to re book with them. I will now be using another school at a much cheaper price and even better to this it will only be a three hour course instead of a whole day as this will be the second time that I will be completing my CBT. Quite disappointed that after being recommended to this company to find that they were disinterested in my unfortunate circumstance unwilling to give me an incentive to reuse them and rather annoyed that I could of paid less.
