Fantastic experience: ⭐ If I could give more than 5 stars I would! ⭐ I passed my driving test yesterday on my first attempt, thanks to Steve! As a person with autism, Steve has made manual driving seem easy. He is very patient, understanding, easy to get along with and flexible to your schedule which has been very helpful to me. We had around 40 lessons together and he never made me feel overwhelmed or stressed whilst learning. I'm so glad that I made the decision to contact Pass with Alison after starting with a different instructor - learning to drive should be fun and uplifting and Steve has definitely shown me that. I highly recommend either Steve or Alison, they are both fantastic people and driving instructors

Fantastic experience: I did the course of my driving lessons with Steve, and what an amazing instructor I had. Honestly his level of patience, reassurance and consistency with my driving development has just been phenomenal, despite considering myself to have taken longer than average to learn how to drive, due to my nerves and anxiety at times. Coming to the end with a pass, I can confidently say, that is no longer the case, and that sense of confidence has come from his ability to break down his teachings of driving, in such a step by step way, centred around my own strengths and weaknesses , until reaching a place of driving in the becoming second nature! Highly recommend for anyone looking for an instructor.

Fantastic experience: I had Steve as my instructor, and he was outstanding throughout all my lessons, leading me to pass my driving test on the first attempt. As someone with a full-time job, Steve was incredibly flexible and worked around my schedule, which made a huge difference. Every lesson felt like a step forward, thanks to Steve's high-quality instruction and supportive teaching approach. I never felt hesitant to ask questions, which helped me learn effectively and build confidence behind the wheel. He is a genuinely great person, and I highly recommend both Steve and Alison as instructors. It's also fantastic that they offer both male and female instructors, catering to everyone's comfort and preference. Once again, I would highly highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Alison was an incredible instructor. She taught everything to perfection and helped me understand driving. Even when things were going wrong, she would still help me through every little bit. She never gave up and was with me every step of the way. Aswell as being a good instructor, she’s caring, funny, kind and very knowledgeable. She gets along with everyone! After failing my first driving test, she helped me go back and look over things I could of improved, and gave me endless advice, which later helped me to pass the second time :) I can only say good things about Alison and would recommend to anyone! I had a couple of other instructors before Alison but none compared. She was the best one and thanks to her I passed my driving test. Fantastic experience: I had lessons with Steve on a weekly basis and passed first time with only 1 minor. He was very supportive and works around your availability, not once did he doubt me and believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. He’s very clear with his instructions, can adjust if you’re having an off day and will answer and questions you have. Fantastic experience: I have been having driving lessons with Steve since September last year and have just passed my driving test first time! After being messed around by a previous instructor I gave up with lessons but then found Steve. After the very first lesson I knew that this was the instructor who was going to help me to pass and indeed he did. He is very professional, punctual, and reliable. He was always on time and is great to get along with. He was super helpful with explaining how to do things and provided constructive feedback after every lesson which I could then take forth with me on my next lesson. Before I started my lessons I was unsure on a male instructor but Steve always made me comfortable with him when driving and never felt stressed or uneasy at all. Having access to both a female and male driving instructor makes it much better as you can accommodate to whom you’d prefer to have lessons with. I would 100% recommend lessons with Steve, it will be one of the best things you do. Thank you Steve!!!

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Steve I have finally passed my driving test at the age of 32. It was the first time I had taken the test and clearly Steve had me well prepared! After having previous instructors I had completely given up but then I got in contact with Alison who passed my details onto Steve and I have never looked back. He has been so patient with me, reassuring me when I needed it. He has faith in his pupils and you really feel that. Sometimes when you first get into the car with someone you don’t know you have this horrible feeling but I never had that with Steve. I instantly felt at ease and like I had known him all my life. Alison and Steve are both so friendly and caring and of course can cater for everyone’s needs as they have both a male and female instructor who really know their stuff. I highly recommend pass with Alison.

Fantastic experience: I was privileged to have Steve as my instructor and what a patient, understanding and simply fantastic instructor he was. Not only did we have to contend with Covid shutdown and isolations interrupting lessons, but with English being my second language he had to make sure I truly understood all aspects of driving and build my confidence from scratch, as I was exceptionally nervous to start with. He brought a sense of fun to the classes while making sure I continually improved from lesson to lesson. I’m so glad to say that I not only aced the theory test, but with only 1 minor fault during my practical test I passed first time with a figurative gold star from the examiner I couldn’t recommend Steve highly enough, a definite 15 out of 10!!!! I’m actually going to miss him now I’ve passed - Thanks Steve

Fantastic experience: Steve was my fourth instructor- all my previous instructors gave up on me and recommended I try learning automatic. Steve has been incredibly patient, reliable and motivating. He has never made me feel like he was doing all the work from his pedals, I used to get confused with my previous instructors. His way of explaining concepts is clear, concise and up to date. I was such a nervous driver before Steve, he has helped me so much. I was nervous about having a male instructor but that disappeared as soon as I met him as he is so reassuring and funny. When I started university again just before my test, when my availability was at awkward times, he went out of his way to book lessons out of his hours to accommodate my test booking. He even gave me extra time on my last lesson to make sure I was confident with the manoeuvres I was stressing about. He has never asked me if it was okay if another student can be in the car and to drop them home- something instructors who do not want to waste time do. He is very caring and funny and encouraged me to keep going, after six months with him I passed with few minors and the examiner even commented how confident I was. I would highly recommend steve to all family and friends

Fantastic experience: I’m writing this review having just passed my driving test first time, thanks to Alison. She is a fantastic driving instructor, positive and supportive throughout. Having never driven a car before, she made me feel comfortable and at ease from the first lesson. I’ve already recommended Alison to several of my friends and will continue to do so.

Fantastic experience: I was instructed by Steve throughout my time with Pass with Alison, Steve was both a patient and studious instructor, ensuring that he paid close attention to where my driving was strong and where I could use improvement, with the correct guidance, I was happy to walk away with a pass after my first attempt of my driving test. I enjoyed learning how to drive and found my tutelage to be very thorough.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough positive things about my lessons with Steve. I was an incredibly nervous driver and struggled horribly with test day nerves. With Steve I passed first time, my fourth test altogether. Steve gave me the confidence and understanding to go with flow of the traffic and be the best driver I could be and instilled in me confidence enough to pass my test with only one minor. Steve is a brilliant and calm instructor who explained everything in a relatable and understandable manner. I cannot recommend Steve enough as an excellent local instructor with brilliant knowledge of the test routes. Once again, thank you Steve for all your help ! I’m already out driving independently and enjoying my freedom !!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Steve and his yellow car!! I passed first time today with only 3 minors and I couldn't have done it without him! I never felt rushed or silly for asking questions or making mistakes and he didn't care how many times he had to go over something as long as I understood it! He always managed to fit my lessons in around my school schedule and was very accommodating if and when I had to change the day for whatever reason. As someone who started as a very nervous driver, Steve has really helped my confidence and took everything at my pace one step at a time. Each lesson has detailed write-ups in a notebook which gets reviewed at the start of each lesson which I found really useful, as it helped me remember what I did well, and did not do well on the previous lesson; this shows how much work Steve clearly puts in outside actual lesson time. he was also incredibly knowledgeable on the most recent news / routes regarding the local test centres and driving instructor community, which was very reassuring. He had a really positive attitude and genuinely believed in me which was really beneficial I think. Thank you so much!!

Fantastic experience: I am a little late writing this review but I had Steve as my driving instructor towards the end of last year after being recommended by a family member so thought id give him a go. I was really happy with his teaching techniques he was very relaxed and very easy to talk to and answer any question i might of had he gave me the kick i need to get my theory sorted and get my test booked and guess what I passed first time with 0 minors at Featherston would recommend him to any 1 weather your a beginner or more advanced (Thank you Steve for everything)

Fantastic experience: Steve was the perfect driving instructor for me. He is calm, patient, he eased me into driving one step at a time which really worked wonders for me. I never felt rushed and he never made me feel bad for making mistakes. Most importantly, he has a great sense of humour which for me personally, made the whole journey to a license far more enjoyable and less stressful. Steve always had my best interest in mind and was really keen to see me pass. I wasn't really confident with my driving, but his belief in me helped me so much. I passed my test yesterday and he looked so proud, it was heart-warming. I will miss our lessons. Steve, however had a free spot for me still so I went ahead with him as my driving instructor. It was definitely the best decision I could have made! He managed to get rid of all anxiety I had about driving and was incredibly kind and patient with me. He gently eased me into the driving and helped me become a capable driver, passing first time with only 1 minor! Fantastic experience: I passed first time with Steve - covid had my tests moved and cancelled repeatedly and Steve helped me keep my motivation up to continue. Steve was very patient and would always crack a joke to uplift your spirits. You pay for an hour and a half lesson rather than an hour with most other instructors. He was more confident than me that i would pass first time and i only got 3 minors!!

Fantastic experience: Recently passed my test with Steve with only 3 minors!. I have had 2 other instructors before him and can without a doubt say that Steve was amazing. So patient and bubbly. He arrived to all lessons perfectly on time and communicated through text at all times to arrange times and tests. I was a nervous driver and Steve worked hard with me to build my confidence and was happy to repeat elements as many times as I needed until I got it right. We had many good laughs during lessons as his personality is witty, kind and personable. Throughout covid, Steve remained in contact just to check in and made himself available as soon as lessons were able to take place again. The main thing I was impressed by with Steve's teaching is how much work he puts in outside the lessons to deliver sessions which are completely tailored to his student is that he keeps a detailed notebook of everything you cover on the lesson, how well you got on, things you need to improve and parts that need to be revisited. All his lessons are recorded so he can watch back exactly what you did in the lesson and come up with a plan for the next one. You would need to see this notebook to believe it. The detail is un matched by any other instructors. Both Steve and Alison are very involved in the instructor/examiner community so they always have the most up-to-date information about tests, routes and things to watch out for. I was also offered a free theory test revision guide which I took full advantage of. Thanks to this I passed my theory first time too with flying colours. If you want to learn to drive properly, confidently and at a pace that suits you Steve and Alison should be top of your list.

Positive experience: I passed first time thanks to Alison and really enjoyed having lessons with her. She made it clear what I needed to do to improve each lesson and delivered each lesson in an enjoyable, yet professional manner. I would definitely recommend her to those looking to start lessons. The only issue I had is that she could be quite stern sometimes which, (as a nervous driver), knocked my confidence at times- but it obviously did the trick!

Positive experience: Alison is a fab driving instructor. She is patient, kind, and makes you feel at ease in the car. I was a very nervous driver, and Alison helped me work past this . I always felt comfortable in the car. However, I found it inconvenient at times, as she doesnt do lessons after 4.00pm. Just something to bare in mind if you are a full time worker, as this caused problems at times. Nonetheless, I passed first time and would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had Steve for my driving instructor and he was amazing. He was very patient and very calm every time I got into the car. Passed with only 4 minors even in the rain with hardest manoeuvres!! This is all down to Steve’s learning I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Alison is a brilliant driving instructor! I passed with her two days ago, first time and would highly recommend her to anyone! I really enjoyed all my lessons with Alison as she made me feel relaxed and confident in my driving from the first lesson. I recently passed my test thanks to Alison and would recommend her to anyone, not only is she a good teacher but she goes through it at your pace and lets you have the freedom to tell her what you want to do.
