Best driving instructor in the area, very friendly, funny and helpful - really tailors lessons to what you feel you need practice with. He always keeps the energy up and is lovely to chat to, and is able to help pick out any minor issues to learn to avoid for the test but also isn't patronising at all..He was able to give lots of really helpful advice when doing mock tests, and was very patient throughout all lessons. He also helped me find a cancellation for the practical test which was also great as it was quite a wait otherwise, and helped me loads in the run up to the test in this last week and was able to squeeze me in twice for extra practice, which helped with my confidence a lot, and really eased the nerves to pass the test! Can't recommend Taz enough, thank you!

Fantastic experience: Where do I even begin, first off I must say 10⭐ to Taz as that is what he truly deserves, he was nothing short of being a phenomenal driving instructor and person. His level of patience is near unmatched and the creativity he adds to each lesson, to help with memorising stuff, is so wonderful, the safe space  he creates in being willing  to match your pace and also try something new   , if it helps you to get better at driving, is superb. Each driving lesson didn't feel like a chore , compared to what I've experienced with my other instructor,which made you look forward to it and even if  you had a bad driving day , he would always make an effort to be reassuring and positive. At the end of the drive , he would give the review in such a way that it builds up your confidence , whilst allowing you to see things that you can improve on and he'd always be giving tips and trys to the  best of is knowledge to answer whatever question you throw at him. Fantastic experience: Taz is very friendly, patient and an excellent driving instructor. Every lesson I felt I improved and gained confidence driving. I felt hesitant about going on roundabout and over taking people at 50 mph, Taz took this seriously and helped me become confident on 50mph roads. On my test I had 3 roundabout on the dual carriageway (which Taz predicted) and I was able to pass first time with only 2 minors.

Negative experience: If you have a pet and are looking for driving lesson I advise not to choose Taz. 15 minutes into my lesson, Taz had asked me to set aside a brand new pair of clothes just for my lessons! Stated that the tiny pet hairs on my jacket would lead to me failing my test and others failing if and instructor was to find them. Not to mention also turning up 15 minutes late! If you are interested in an old man belittling you and giving him money to do so, then look no further. I left this experience feeling shaken. Regardless of your cleanliness not being up to Uncle Taz’ standards you should never be made to feel this way. Poor effort Taz! Do better.

Fantastic experience: Excellent quality of teaching and advice. I had some refresher lessons and found TAZ through a friend. I only needed 5 lessons to bring me back on the road and to show me how to drive confidently. I also got some general advice on cars and insurance which were very helpful as a starting point . Fantastic experience: Would defo recommend as a driving instructor! Has a really calm teaching style which defo helped with my confidence! The few weeks before my test he would ask me which areas I didn’t feel as confident in and worked loads of them. One of these areas was roundabout which I hated and he taught me brilliantly! My driving test route involved loads of busy roundabouts and I still managed to pass 1st time, which I didn’t think was possible! My brother and sister both learnt with him before me and we have all passed 1st time! Thank you for all your help!

Fantastic experience: Excellent standard of teaching that you would expect from a driving school but without their prices! I was looking for refresher lessons, he got me driving on my own quite quickly. He helped me build my confidence and the lessons were at the right pace. Lots of reassurance and a slower pace when it was needed. Encouragement and a bit of push later on when he felt I was ready to progress. He was so good I recommended him to my friend.

Fantastic experience: I'd put off driving for a long time from the nerves of it, and couldn't handle the idea of an instructor telling me off when I was doing something wrong! Gave Taz a go anyway, and so glad I did. Brilliant guy, good soul, had some good laughs. He started me off right with the basics, making sure I felt comfortable and aware of everything I needed to in the car before we even set off the first time. He really looks forward to seeing you improve, and I still laugh at how excited both of us were when I joined from a slip road at 50 for the first time! Tariq has been incredibly calm, patient, and offered a lot of great techniques for remembering how to do maneuvers and everything else. Even has markings in the car to help you line things up - totally beginner friendly. I'm going to spoil a secret. Tariq says “The examiner might say…” in response to something not going quite right. Examiners are actually lovely, he is just trying to save face! Passed with 2 minors, would completely recommend him.

Fantastic experience: Taz is a incredibly calm and patient instructor. I had many instructors and it wasn't until I found Taz driving school where I didn't have an instructor that made me nervous on the day of my test. Taz is great at explaining how certain aspects of driving work and feel that it's his teaching that has made me not only pass my test, but made me confident driver in all aspects of driving!
