Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test first time after lessons with the amazing Raja at Safe Driving School. Raja doesn't just tell you what you should do, but patiently explains concepts in a clear and concise manner. He does not passively tell you what you need to know, but actively asks questions and challenges you. This is a much better way to learn and you are more likely to remember things that way. Raja is good at putting you at ease while you are learning, and this results in better driving performance. His pass rate is very high and superior to many other instructors out there. I am writing this review after a few months of passing and I have been a great, safe and considerate driver thanks to my lessons with Raja. I bought a car a couple of weeks after passing and was confidently driving hundreds of miles (I bought the car down south and drove it back to Edinburgh). I can still sometimes hear his voice in my left ear advising and guiding me in tricky situations! I am doing things which I thought I would never be comfortable doing – like driving on motorways. Even though this wasn’t part of the practical test, I gained the skills and confidence needed through my lessons. Raja is very professional and on time with lessons, and communicates well regarding any scheduling changes. He is happy to answer wider driving related questions – not just what’s covered in the DVSA material. The car you will be learning in is new and a pleasure to drive. Being a good driver doesn't stop with passing the test but is a lifelong learning experience. Thanks to lessons from Safe Driving School, I feel that I have the necessary tools for that journey – I am still learning new things about driving every day.

Fantastic experience: Best driving instructor - Ronnie is personable, really easy to get on with, but also incredibly knowledgeable and firm in a way that will make you the best driver you can be. The car is incredibly well managed and ideal to use both for lessons and for the exam. I took the Musselburgh exam which covers dual carriageways, large roundabouts, country roads - the gamut. Following my lessons I felt very confident on all of these along with the parking techniques as they were easily explained and I was able to practice them really well Couldn't recommend this school more

Fantastic experience: The hardest thing is to unlearn bad habits and relearn the driving rules here! I have about 20 years of driving experience back home but since moving to UK, I am not confident I'm up to par to the standards here. It took a while to find an auto transmission driving instructor in Kirkcaldy and I'm very very lucky and thankful that Ronnie is able to schedule my lessons. I'd recommend anyone who has passed their theory test to book their driving test and instructors as early as possible. Ronnie is patient with my lessons and frankly I had to be reminded multiple times on the same mistakes I keep making out of muscle memory and horrendous bad habits no less ! I did the full ten lessons and was confident on day of exams. Passed with no faults ! Wow ! I wouldn't say it's easy to adapt but Ronnie's recommends for me to practice whenever possible and that helped a lot.

Negative experience: If you want someone who straddles the centre of a two lane roundabout at Kirkcaldy train station, sits on his phone at the crossing (on red light), takes off only when peeped at and then drives through the hatched area onto the other side of the road and then proceeds to drive at 40mph in a 30 zone, this is the guy for you! Disgraceful piece of driving from anyone never mind a driving instructor!

Fantastic experience: I have had an amazing experience with Safe Driving School and would highly recommend them to anyone who wants their driving license. I have passed first time with only two minors with Ronnie as my instructor. He truly is everything that a great driving instructor should be, he is very knowledgeable about the exact skills it takes to pass the test and gives so much advice that will always be useful in the future. I started as a nervous driver and he was very kind, positive and encouraging and has now turned me into a very confident driver going forward!
