Negative experience: Very unprofessional to talk to. Full of excuses and false expectations, when quite clearly just didnt want to take on the work (solve one issue, they make another etc.). Never made it as far as lessons. Don't waste your time.

As someone who had driven in a foreign country for a decade, I had so much to learn about safe and and proper driving in the UK. Where I came from, most driving rules had gone out the window - but that's another story. Neil takes a no-nonsense but friendly approach to his instruction. He had the patience to unpick my bad habits while getting me up to test standard. I can happily say that I didn't just pass the test but also gained the confidence to drive independently under all sorts of roads and traffic conditions from here on.

Fantastic experience: Patient and professional instructor! Highly recommend I had been abroad studying for four years in Thailand, so i never got around to a UK driving license. When i was abroad i drove automatic and have picked up many bad habits. From the beginning Neil has taken his time to understand me, especially with all the bad habits i have picked up. I was quite nervous at the beginning and Neil made me feel calm and comfortable by explaining the lesson before and reassuring me throughout the lesson. Fantastic experience: I had a few lessons in manual and I just couldn't get the hang of it, my local town is kings Lynn so I was recommended to go to Neil at smart pass for automatic lessons and im so glad I did! I really enjoyed how easy Neil made driving seem, so I decided to book a 20 hour intensive which is 4 hours driving every day, going through everything you need, including a driving test at the end. Neil is a thorough and calm instructor, he made me feel so comfortable behind the wheel instantly, especially after my struggles with manual, explained each manoveour in great detail and gave great little tricks to help me out. I passed my test first time with Neil and I can't recommended him enough!! If you're looking to get on the road quickly and want a great instructor who has a great balance of giving you the freedom to drive as you will and (pun intended) steering you in the right direction. Fantastic experience: I approached smartpass driving school due to the consistently positive/5 star ratings they have received online. I took time to read the reviews to understand exactly what experience was recieved by other learners and it was consistently stated you were made to feel at ease, given throughrough and honest feedback, and it was good value for money. Sure enough this was delivered in my experience and in fact exceeded. I was able to pass my test and my confidence was consistently kept up and I was made to be well prepared for my test. I had the pleasure of learning with Neil and not only did he break everything down simply, he made it enjoyable. I've had some experience with several instructors before over the years, none able to make me feel at ease and learn quite so quickly. Neil is able to break things down so its easily digested and remembered. Moreover, makes you consider the mistakes you're making as opposed to spoon feeding you to ensure its committed to memory. The driving atmosphere is relaxed but one which is still condusive to learning and the instuctor is happy to answer any questions if you have them over the learning period which is crutial for making progress and better understanding the roads. After seeing all the positive reviews online I thought I’d give Smart Pass Driving School a go and I’m so glad I did. As I’d never driven before I was very nervous and expected it to be extremely complicated and hard to grasp, however Neil made me feel completely at ease from my first lesson and explained everything in such a straight forward way it all made sense very quickly. Originally I had another instructor and Neil took me on and straight away he made me feel confident in learning how to drive, the attention to detail he gives towards teaching is impeccable and I could never fault him. I had a negative experience with other driving schools, so finding one with good reviews was a must. I was a very anxious driver, but I soon became more confident when I started to learn with Neil. Fantastic experience: On my first lesson with Neil he didn't pressure me at all, I never felt stressed on lessons and even if I did a mistake he wouldn't get frustrated at all, he was always so supportive and friendly, the lessons were always flexible and Neil in general was great to learn with. there was never a problem with pick ups and drop offs even though I live in runcton Holme and was often in and out of Lynn. but overall I had a great time

Fantastic experience: Top school from the start! It has taken me a long time to make the decision to get my license due to being such a nervous driver with no confidence and very anxious all the time, which makes for an awful driver and even worse pupil. Smart Pass was the first driving school to get back to me when I enquired about doing an assessment lesson to see where I was at just to make sure I wasn’t wasting my money and someone’s time but with no guarantees that Neil would be getting any lessons from me but he was more interested in helping me find my way than it being about the money! But I can honestly say from the very first day Neil was fantastic. What helped me the most was his calming presence and how he went about explaining and teaching me, a VERY patient man I can tell you! And if you love a good laugh and talking about food Neil is definitely your guy! I can finally say after 8 years of putting off getting my license, I did it! I booked my first lesson on the Schools website page, and within 24 hours I was in contact with Neil the instructor and everything was confirmed. Over the course of my weekly lessons, we covered a wide variety of topics. Obviously starting with the fundamentals, then building our way up to busier roads and junctions/roundabouts. And before long we were covering maneuvers and getting test ready. Neil's teaching was fantastic, allowing me to learn at my own pace. He was able to provide a calm atmosphere, and help me to feel less anxious when getting behind the wheel. He also was able to provide support when preparing for the theory test thanks to the schools access to theory test pro. I would definitely recommend Smart Pass and Neil to anyone currently learning to drive or to anyone looking to start.

Fantastic experience: After entering a competition to win a free driving lesson, I won. Nervous didn't even come close. I spoke with Neil had my 1st lesson. From day 1 he made me feel comfortable, happy and relaxed. Neil was calm, patient,never got stressed with me, he explains things clearly and doesn't rush you through anything. Fantastic experience: I opted for an intensive course with Neil in the manual after having failed a first attempt 4 months ago! I cannot recommend Neil enough to anyone wanting to take an intensive course. We did a 20 hour course which allowed enough time to identify, correct and build on skills I had learnt before. I felt very comfortable and safe learning with Neil and he went above and beyond what was necessary to complete the course and ensure I passed on my first attempt!

Fantastic experience: Whilst looking for an instructor, I wanted someone who would cater for my general anxiety, as well as helping me pass the test and drive more efficiently. Neil was able to meet these expectations and go beyond. Compared to previous instructors who have been disregarded my anxiety and were focused on completing the test, Neil was able to recognise my anxious periods and make me feel comfortable whilst teaching me the skills to become a competent driver on the road. Well I am pleased to say that Smart Pass were very accommodating and helped me pass my driving test with ease. Neil is an amazing instructor he is funny and easy to get on with. he helps you every step of the way and he is very patient. I had very little driving experience, for example only knew basic clutch control, and changing gear. Within the 20 hours I felt confident and ready to do the test. Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic driving school.ive just done the intense driving in the automatic and passed 1st time . Neil is a fantastic teacher and makes u feel very relaxed from minute u get into car . Would recommend him to anyone

Fantastic experience: I cannot praise Neil at Smart Pass enough. Very knowledgable instructor who take his time to get to know you as a student and a person. Would recommend the Intensive driving as a means to 'get it over and done with'.

Definitely recommended for nervous drivers. He is reliable, punctual, and flexible - especially when it comes to school/college timetables etc.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend! Wasn’t the most confident of drivers when I first started but after a few weeks of lesson I was a much more confident driver! Passed first time! Fantastic experience: I first started learning to drive with one of the bigger driving schools in King’s Lynn, but I don’t believe bigger is better in this instance. I wasn’t happy with the tuition I got so I switched to learn with Neil who was excellent. I did a 20 hour intensive course and passed first time. He saw where my weak areas were and just went through them with me step by step and I soon built up the skills and confidence within the week which made me successful on my first attempt of my test. Highly recommend learning to drive with Smartpass. Even if the waiting list is long, it’s definitely worth the wait, you won’t be disappointed. Thanks Neil! :)

Fantastic experience: After struggling with numerous other instructors, I found Neil and Smart Pass, after lessons with him, I finally passed! Neil is a great instructor, he's very professional and easy to get along with, which is what you want. I cannot recommend this driving school enough!

Fantastic experience: Just completed a 40hour residential intensive course with Neil. Lovely clean B&B at fairlight lodge, and amazing instructor. Neil was very informative and patient, and really helped with those parts that i struggled with. It helped me was easy to talk too which really calmed my nerves.
