Fantastic experience: I highly recommend the Driving Academy! As a visual learner, I loved that my instructor, Andy, had his iPad at the ready to explain different junctions, roundabouts, etc. if I was ever confused. He’s encouraging and kind and every lesson helped me progress, whilst being fun! I started off in August as quite an anxious driver, but Andy helped me build up the confidence and independence that I had all along. I am so happy that I could pass FIRST TIME with only 3 minors this December. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor and am so glad I found Driving Academy

Steve has been kind, helpful, and absolutely amazing to be able to accommodate my needs, especially with my anxiety. Fantastic experience: I’m not a very confident driver so i found learning to drive very difficult. With the help from Nicky and the resources she provided i managed to miraculously pass my test with 0 faults! I highly recommend the driving academy for anyone who is nervous about driving.

Fantastic experience: Been driving since December 2023 and I have just passed in august 2024 after pushing my test back because i didn’t feel as confident. Her explanations were clear and tailored to my learning style, and she was always happy to go over them when needed. I never felt pressured or judged and could voice any concerns. Fantastic experience: I just passed my test first time with Rachel as my instructor. Learning with the driving academy was a great experience as i was taught both how to pass my test but also how to be road ready and safe on areas that aren’t covered in the test, E.g Multi-story car parks and drive throughs. The communication was fluid and the app the company uses is a big help in learning to drive. I would highly recommend this academy to anyone learning to drive as i now feel extremely confident in my driving and can’t wait to use my knowledge i gained from the academy to be a safe driver. Fantastic experience: I seriously recommend the Driving Academy if you are thinking about learning to drive. I am in my 50s, have suffered from anxiety most of my life and I've recently been diagnosed autistic, so driving did not come easily to me! Dave was brilliant - calm, patient and reassuring and gave clear advice and instruction. He always stayed positive and believed in me, even when I didn't and with his help I have now passed my test. Thanks also to Nicky for rearranging my test for me when I had Covid.

Fantastic experience: Where do I start I came to The driving Accademy after I was recommended by my lovely neighbour. I was due to take my test February with another driving school. Being neurodivergent my previous driving school didn’t get that some people need extra support and may need a different way to be tought. I had being berated and told “you can’t drive” and “you won’t last five minutes”. I contacted Nicky the owner who booked me in with Vicky mid February. And wow she was absolutely amazing and if something didn’t work she would find another way that I understood. I had no confidence or self believe after being knocked by the previous instructor with the other company. She had patience and never ever said anything negative once, she believed in me and I’m so so grateful ☺️ to pass first time at 43 wow I couldn’t have done it without Vicky and even with depression she made me believe in my self. Fantastic experience: As a complete beginner at 17, I found Nicky’s lessons made learning to drive comfortable and enjoyable. By organising the booking of my driving test, I was able to push it back when I didn’t feel ready initially, meaning that when I rescheduled it I was able to past first time with no faults! As well as this, Nicky uses the Total Drive app which I found really helpful as it makes booking lessons easy and also lets you track your progress. I would 100% definitely recommend The Driving Academy - especially instructor Nicky!

I was very nervous to learn to drive as I hadn’t been able to as a teenager so felt a lot of pressure and anxiety around driving. She even let me bring my baby with me on lessons when I had no childcare, which just shows you the type of kind hearted person Nicky is. Opportunities for student decision making followed by reflection along with exposure to city and motorway and evening driving definitely prepared me for a 1st time pass and commencing commuting an hour too and from work within a week of passing. Fantastic experience: I really really recommend learning to drive with Nicky and the team at The Driving Academy. I was nervous after having some terrible lessons with someone else 10 years ago and was never motivated to learn again. Going back on the road with Nicky instantly changed my mindset. I went from thinking I’d never be able to drive to feeling not only capable but confident on the road. She took her time to help work out how I could learn best and her time and compassion made me feel at ease quickly. I passed first time and I credit this to the incredible lessons I had with Nicky. I cannot recommend her enough. Within 2 weeks of passing I’ve driven on the motorway and by myself at night. All because of the amazing teaching I had that made me confident enough to do it.

Fantastic experience: I have had around a months worths of lessons so far and I have to say that I’m really glad I chose to go with the driving academy. Having had previous driving lessons elsewhere before, my experience with my current driving instructor Rachel souware has stood out to me with how patient and informative she has been. I have previously tried to upload a review however it seems to have been removed or blocked by Google strangely. I would recommend this to anyone who would like to learn on their own pace and build a valuable knowledge base.

Fantastic experience: I have been having driving lessons with Gulzar for the past five months and have found the whole experience to be amazing. As someone who is dyspraxic and was an anxious driver Gulzar has been very encouraging, kind and supportive. Through my lessons I gained the confidence and skills to finally pass my driving test. Fantastic experience: Passed first time thanks to the great help and expertese of Gulzar. He was brilliant in helping me from my very first lesson with him. He calmed my road based nerves after I've been in a road accident previously. Gulzar was able to be firm with me when I really needed it, and also read when I was feeling a bit more nervous. Fantastic experience: I’ve been having lessons with Rachel after a long break from driving and she made me feel instantly comfortable, especially with me learning how to use a hand brake after being in a car without one. Over the weeks, I’ve just been getting more and more confident in my driving thanks to Rachel, who’s a phenomenal driving instructor and an even better person who I can always have great chats with and who seems interested in both my life and my driving process. Fantastic experience: Brilliant driving instructor, 1st time pass with Zero driving faults !! Nicky was excellent in fitting me in around Uni and part time jobs. When I first started, I had a minimal driving experience and Nicky's lessons were adapted to fill in my missing knowledge. As each lesson went by my confidence grew. Nicky goes the extra mile by delivering 'The Honest Truth About Safer Driving' (Road Safety Education) which helps you to become a safer driver. Nicky doesn't just teach you to pass the driving test, she teaches you to manage a wide variety of driving environments this included driving to Leeds, parking in a busy car parks and a motorway lesson, so you are able to confidently drive and cope in different situations once you have passed. Thanks to Nicky I am enjoying the freedom of independent driving.

Fantastic experience: FIRST TIME PASS!! Dave is a great instructor and teacher! From lesson one he's helped with my understanding and knowledge of driving, which has, in turn, helped with confidence. Each lesson has a different focus, which gives time to master each element of driving before bringing it all together to be test ready. Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend the driving academy and my instructor Gulzar enough. Everything was very professional from start to finish, my messages were always replied to quickly and I was always picked up on time. I was very nervous to drive to begin with but Gulzar made me feel very confident and I passed first time - only four months after I began lessons! Thanks to Gulzar and Nicky for making this possible, I enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish.

Fantastic experience: Around 18 months ago, I made the decision to pursue a career change towards driver education. Having read around the route to qualification, I searched for an ORDIT registered trainer in my area. Shortly afterwards, I arranged a meeting with Nicky. From the start she was honest about the challenge that lay ahead, but I was in no doubt after the initial meeting that she was the ideal trainer to help me achieve my goal. Fast forwards 18 months (don't be put off by that time gap, this was entirely due to my existing employment and chosen pathway to qualification) and I have received my ADI green octagon from the DVSA, having passed all elements of the course at the first attempt. There is absolutely no way that I would have achieved this without Nicky's help. Her tailored approach to individual PDI needs and her incredible wealth in the driver education industry is second to none. I am certain that I will call upon her expertise in the future and will continue to recommend her tuition to others. Fantastic experience: Economical, Genuine, and Best Driving School - 10/10 I was searching for the best driving school, whose fees must be low, and they must not deliberately delay or extend the classes to lure money from their students, considering them as a cash machine. And fortunately, I chose 'The Driving Academy', which ultimately checked all points from my checklist: The fees for each class were minimal as compared to other driving schools, with some extra allocated time. My instructor [Gulzar] was very professional, as he was always on time and explained each topic in detail. And he inculcated all the correct techniques into my driving skills fluently. The owner [Nicky] herself visited in one of my classes to verify the technique of the instructor, to ensure the quality is maintained. I only attended 11 classes and cleared my driving test on the first go, at one of the toughest test center - Leeds, Harehills. So, will strongly recommend this school to all the naive learners out there, seeking to pass the driving test ASAP.

Fantastic experience: Huge thanks to The Driving Academy and Nicky for supporting Ella in learning to drive. The first driving school we tried felt unable to accommodate Ella's Asperger's after a few weeks which was incredibly disheartening. Not so The Driving Academy! Nicky has shown so much imagination in thinking differently and seeing the roads from a non-neurotypical perspective. Her methods have many times been tailored specifically to Ella and her patience has been awe-inspiring. As Nicky says 'well, everyone is different. I do it all the time'. Fantastic experience: I found Nicky at the Driving Academy through a local recommendation. At the start, I came to my lessons feeling so nervous about driving even though I'd already had a number of lessons at another company. Nicky always made me feel safe and was so supportive when I shared my worries with her. If I made a mistake we would pull over so we could learn from what went wrong. Nicky always pushed me to improve and I'm so much calmer when driving now. Nicky is such an amazing instructor and I'm so grateful for her as she's helped me massively. Fantastic experience: Our son was not confident behind the wheel but under Nicky's expert guidance and supreme patience, she got him test ready and he past first time. Fantastic experience: Great instructor helped me pass a test at one of the busiest times of the week.

Negative experience: Unfortunately we did not receive a good service in any way, shape or form from start to finish. Having booked a YEAR in advance and paid for 20 lessons upfront we found ourselves met with poor communication and a completely unreliable service. Unprofessional comments on the app and to my daughter which left her feeling uncomfortable at times. When challenged why lessons were so sporadic and the service unprofessional we were told to go elsewhere. I challenged Nicky AGAIN as to why she couldn’t accommodate us regularly (having been booked in for such a long time) and Nicky then terminated our lessons. Everything was done by text. She seems to have a huge problem communicating with parents. Having spoken to other parents this service is not uncommon and appears to be the norm. Why i went with her in the first place after her doing similar to a friend i have no idea. We live and learn. We now have a reliable instructor who is fantastic with our daughter. This review is based solely on our (bad) experience.

Fantastic experience: I had the most positive experience learning to drive with Nicky. I wanted to continue my driving lessons after a 2 year break, and learn to drive over summer. Nicky was incredibly accommodating and gave me two lessons most weeks at times which matched my availability. Nicky was an amazing and patient teacher. For someone who driving did not come naturally, she talked me through what I needed to do and my mistakes calmly and constructively. Nicky always went above and beyond, sending me driving learning videos to enhance my lesson time, and even taking me for a motorway and inner-city lesson which has really helped post-test. Thank you so much Nicky for everything you did!

Fantastic experience: I honestly don’t think I could have picked a better driving instructor company, Dave (my instructor) was so friendly and helpful when ever I was struggling with anything he had a solution. I passed my test first time with not a single fault and couldn’t have done it without all the resources that were available from the driving academy. Nicky was so informative and had online classes to help me through my theory as well, the videos, links and much more was so helpful. All the different learning techniques that where available from the start to accompany for anyone. Would highly recommend. Thanks to you all at driving academy!

Fantastic experience: Like many parents I was nervous about my daughter learning to drive but I felt very confident in Nicky’s hands. As well as teaching how to drive she is also very good at teaching and warning about all the other risks associated with driving nowadays. My daughter - after a first time pass - is now a confident and sensible driver and I am sure will remain so for many years to come. I can highly recommend The Driving Academy and Nicky in particular.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t have passed my test without Nicky’s amazing patience and determination to keep me going when I was struggling with driving. It took me nearly 2 years due to covid and other hurdles but I got there in the end.

Fantastic experience: Nicky is an amazing trainer, who has helped me with my training in becoming an ADI. She has expertise knowledge, a calm and friendly manner and is always there to help. She has provided the best resources to help me with my learning. Fantastic experience: This review is well over due, sorry about that Nicky x, I am currently working as an ADI, and was lucky enough to Meet Nicky, who helped me through my part 3. Once again this morning i have had another successful first time pass for one of my pupils, and i believe it is all down to Nicky. Her approach to coaching, really opened my eyes as to what a lesson should be like, and how to bring the best out of any individual, i constantly refer to my reflection notes made after our lessons together, and build lessons around the structure we discussed. How to be Client centre and to understand the pupils needs was a massive step in my development, and it was all down to Nicky. If you are looking to Start on your Path as an ADI, or are looking to improve your coaching Methods and existing skills, i cannot recommend Nicky highly enough. Fantastic experience: My instructor Nicky was absolutely brilliant. I'd somehow managed to get to my late 30s without ever having driven, and through her tutelage and patience I managed to pass 1st time (and to genuinely look forward to each and every lesson). Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Nicky, my son has just passed his test with flying colours, the examiner said my son was one of the best drivers he’d ever passed!! Nicky is without doubt an outstanding instructor, very calm, extremely thorough and very encouraging.

Fantastic experience: I started driving in September and passed first time in May with Nicki as my instructor. She was really calm and patient and when it came to my test I felt like I was ready to pass. She also used an app which I found really helpful for tracking progress and lesson times so I knew exactly where I was and what I needed to do to improve :) I would highly recommend Nicki she really built up my confidence on the road especially since I wasn’t practicing outside of lessons!
