Fantastic experience: Have been working with Gaz for right around 2 months now and have seem major improvements. If all goes well I hope to be able to have my license before the end of the new year. 10/10 would recommend if in need to driving lessons.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been learning to drive with Gaz for a few weeks now, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! From the first lesson, he made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. He explains everything clearly and is very patient, even when I make mistakes. What I truly appreciate is how he tailors each lesson to my progress—whether it’s mastering tricky manoeuvres or building confidence on busy roads, he always gives helpful tips and encouragement. I’ve already seen a lot of improvement in my driving skills. I highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive and pass their exam with confidence- Gaz is fantastic!

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with Gaz as my driving instructor. Initially, he came across as a nice, kind, and funny person, which made me hopeful about learning to drive with him. However, over time, I began to notice several unprofessional behaviours that made the lessons extremely uncomfortable and stressful for me. First, he would often spend a significant portion of the lesson talking about his personal life, particularly his dating life, which I never asked about. While I don’t mind small talk, this was excessive and often took up time meant for driving practice. More concerning was his tendency to shout at me when I made mistakes during lessons. While I understand the need for correction, especially in potentially dangerous situations, Gaz’s approach caused me a lot of stress and even brain fog, which made it harder for me to focus on improving my driving. This is something I’ve not experienced with my new instructor, who is far more patient and constructive in their feedback. Since switching instructors, my driving skills have improved dramatically in a short amount of time. The most traumatic experience came during my final lesson with Gaz. After he criticised a manoeuvre I did, I politely challenged his assessment and said I thought it was okay. In response, he abruptly announced that he was going to quit—while I was still driving! This shocked me and created a tense and unsafe atmosphere in the car. His actions almost caused us to crash into another vehicle. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable, and I cannot recommend him as an instructor. I’m relieved to be working with someone else now, and I hope my review helps others make an informed decision. Lastly, I noticed that Gaz tends to respond very personally to negative reviews. I encourage anyone reading this to look at other one-star reviews and judge for themselves. I am simply sharing my honest experience here in the hope that he can reflect on his behaviour and improve. I also plan to report his conduct to the DVSA, as I believe his unprofessionalism needs to be addressed. Positive experience: I've been having lesson with Gaz for quite some time now and he is really good. I've had bad experience with previous instructors where they weren't being good teachers and not teaching me honestly. Gaz helped me change those bad habits and taught me the things I actually need to increase my chances in passing. He keeps you engaged and is reliable and punctual. He listens to feedback like when I told him I would like to drive in new places more and the next lesson we did. There is lots of chatting at the beginning but as you have more lessons and nearer to the test date Gaz makes you become more focused. I appreciate this because it prevents burnouts and helps the nerves a lot. Gaz also tell you where and how you should get your test done and what times to increase your chance of passing. He really teaches you the secrets in the trade. Unfortunately, because of the long waits and back load there is nothing you can really do but try your best if you have a test at a hard centre. Sometimes there is no point cancelling it because there is a 6 month wait weather you cancel or fail. So rather than talking about changing it consistently maybe just try to defy the odds using his amazing teaching skills. Constant reminders of how hard it is makes you realise how real it is in reality and makes you work harder but sometimes it can make you feel dejected because you can't really do anything about it despite hardwork. Overall I recommend Gaz to anyone who want to be taught by someone who is honest about their work.

Fantastic experience: I've had several driving instructors in my lifetime, so I can honestly say Gaz Reynolds has been the best of them all. His training is comphrensive yet clear and not contradictory, which I've found to be the case with other instructors. He has a sense of humour that will put you at ease but not so much that it will distract you from his instructions. He can accurately recognise shortcomings in your skills, explaining clearly where you're going wrong and spends the time to correct them to the point you're at a good standard. If you fail, it will be because you didn't listen to his instructions or sheer bad luck. Anyone who hires him is in great hands. All the best to those learning to drive in these rough times.

Negative experience: I have not booked any lessons with this place but I was so shocked at the level of response a customer received from the owner of this business. This is NOT how you treat any customer. Extremely unprofessional and rude and I would not advise anyone to give their money to an instructor who would talk to you like that. Go elsewhere and find a school with more manners and respect. Resorting to personal insults to someone who has paid for your service. Shocking. I hope that customer is ok. How can I be a troll when I screenshot ted a response that YOU left I am not concerned with you ranking higher on Google, I am more concerned with alerting customers of your unprofessionalism.

Fantastic experience: I have completed just over half of my training with Gaz and can not recommend his driving school enough. The training progression over a few lessons increased my confidence on the road and I could see myself that I was progressing. Gaz is a great friendly instructor and the order/rate of training is excellent. I have my test next week and I am hoping to pass first time. Update: Today I passed my driving test first time with only 20 hours of training including a lesson on the test day. Thanks to Gaz for all the help with the training. I was very impressed at the progress I made in only 2 weeks showing how well the driving school trains candidates and delivers great results.

Fantastic experience: Very good rates of lessons. Really enjoyed all of my lessons. Gaz is a very caring & very experienced instructor. Enjoyed his style of teaching. I was a very nervous learner. But gaz made me feel very relaxed & calm. He has this knack of making you feel comfortable & confident. I had 2 different instructors from 2 different driving schools before, but they made me more nervous and my lessons use to feel like a punishment. I use to literally hate my driving lessons. He makes me feel safe while I’m driving and extremely confident. He’s super funny and makes the lessons interesting and not boring. Fantastic experience: I’m 4 lessons in on my training, was really nervous to start off with as I’ve never had much experience with driving. However Gaz was really quick to settle my nerves and he helped me get off and running smoothly and quickly. 100% would definitely recommend!

Negative experience: I honestly don't know who is writing all these positive reviews! The guy is completely incompetent as driving teacher nor a business owner. Had several lessons with him, where he finished earlier than agreed. Several times he shouted because of my driving, which made my driving even worse. Threaten me that he recorded our video lessons and will put it on youtube as I am unbelievable student. In general his behaviour was very emotionally abusive, and I literally learned nothing, but got nervous attacks after his lessons and texts. At the end he refused to complete the course saying that I owe him money, and in total hold around 200£ with million excuses and reasons. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I have truly had an amazing experience with Gr8 Drive so far, Gaz is a patient instructor who not only boosts my confidence after every lesson but he gives me tips and advice so that when my test day comes around I will be more than ready! I am taking part in the intensive course and Gaz is doing a brilliant job guiding me in the right direction, within 10 days he taught me all the manoeuvres giving me plenty of time to practice and improve them. Fantastic experience: I have had driving lessons with a few companies but none of them are as good as GR8Drive. Gaz is such an amazing instructor. I have, at the time of writing, just completed my fourth lesson (10 hours of lessons in total) with him and I have learnt so fast with him. He explains thing so clearly and does alter his teaching to suit your needs. I would definitely recommend GR8Drive as i have nothing but positive experiences. Fantastic experience: Gaz is an excellent driving instructor. I have had just two lessons with him and I feel that I have been driving for weeks. He has very good human relations and great sense of humour which makes me feel relaxed and confident behind the wheels. Fantastic experience: When I turned 17, I began looking for driving instructors and by far the best reviewed and most reasonably priced was Gaz at GR8 Driving School. Being honest, I was a tad worried by just how low the prices were, but Gaz showed true professionalism right from the very first lesson, and progressing me along with driving amazingly quickly without skipping over anything. Additionally Gaz has been super friendly and supportive so I feel confident while driving as well as enjoying my lessons. I have only had around 6 lessons so far, and I have already been driving semi-independently down Borehamwood high street, and fairly able to make most decisions by myself. We have also covered changing gears smoothly, clutch control, three-point turns, smooth braking and a fair amount of theory. Tl;dr Gaz has been super friendly and supportive as well as having been a great teacher at a great price

Fantastic experience: Had a great first driving lesson yesterday 25/07, Gaz is easy to get on with and will work as fast as you allow him too. I’m very please with my first ever experience behind the wheel and have learned quite a bit already. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I had my first lesson with gaz yesterday and it went better then i expected as he was very helpful and patient when I was driving. Also he made me feel at ease when I was driving and when I made a mistake he’d let me know what I did wrong and how to prevent it next time. Negative experience: I had four lessons with GAZ but did not continue even though I had pre paid for a block of 10. He talked a lot and unfortunately mostly not driving related, which was un professional as I was paying to learn to drive. The last lesson we drove for 25mins before i got in the drivers seat, i also deem the lesson unsafe as i had only just started to learn to change gear and he took me on a dual carriage way where I had to drive in 5th gear and lorries were beeping us. Needless to say I did not take another lesson with him.

I am American and need lots of direction as I am on the wrong side of the road from the USA. I have to work hard on everything. Fantastic experience: I am so thankful for having my instructor teaching me how to drive. Today I had just 3d lesson and was driving under 37 m/h. It is a very big progress for me, cause I have been ILL. Of course, I am making mistakes such as stalling, etc. I hope that will pass my first time. Gaz is very professional, organised and patient.I would highly recommend him!!!

Fantastic experience: Had my first lesson today and have to say that I feel like Gaz understands me and knows how to teach me in a way that I am able to retain, great sense of humour really made me feel comfortable. For my first ever time in a driver seat I feel like I have done very well with lots of positive reinforcement and helped aswell. Managed to cover the basics, POM cockpit set up, blind spots etc then get onto clutch control, braking accelerating and even made it into second gear ! definitely a 5 star instructor would highly recommend with very reasonable prices. Edit to add: passed my test today. Massive thanks to Gaz for the training he has instilled on me !!

Negative experience: I felt that the service was bang average filled with constant jokes (which were not funny ) and a service simply there to take your money due to irrational terms which for some reason expire even though you have paid for lessons. Save yourself an ear ache and go with someone else.

Fantastic experience: Great instructor and a brilliant car. Incredibly helpful and very cheap and flexible with the hours, I would definitely recommend as I am on track to pass first time.

Fantastic experience: I honestly think this is the best driving school out there. Every lesson is loads of fun. When I first started the thought of driving felt so daunting and I was very anxious but Gaz made me feel so comfortable within the car and I feel safe on the roads.
