Fantastic experience: Learning to drive with John Harvey Driving School was an excellent experience from start to finish. Booking lessons through their website was so easy and hassle-free. They also provide a logbook to track your driving lessons and progress, which was incredibly helpful in keeping me organized and motivated. A huge thank you to my instructor, Chris Jones. Driving with Chris was an absolute pleasure. He has a calm and reassuring teaching style, excellent communication skills, and clearly enjoys helping others learn to drive. Chris made me feel at ease behind the wheel, always taking the time to go through my mistakes and ensuring I fully understood what went wrong. He had me repeat areas where I struggled until I mastered them, which really built my confidence. The mock tests we did together were invaluable and played a big part in me passing my driving test on the first attempt with 0 faults! That level of preparation, coupled with Chris’ patience and attention to detail, made all the difference. I genuinely enjoyed my weekly lessons after work and even looked forward to them. Fantastic experience: I would strongly recommend John Harvey Driving school I had an excellent experience! My instructor Chris Jones was absolutely brilliant. Right from the first lesson he made me feel so comfortable. He has been so kind and patient, and he helped me to learn really quickly! Every time something went well he would provide me with a new challenge and I felt like we made so much progress in a relatively short period of time. He was super supportive and encouraging and even suggested that I take my test earlier than I had planned to because he believed I was ready for it. And I did pass on my first try! With the help of his mock tests and extensive feedback we were able to get test ready. I really enjoyed the whole experience and would 1000% recommend Chris and the driving school.

Chris taught me till he went automatic then came Gary they were great helping me with my Nerves and giving the confidence I needed. Regular lessons that fitted in my busy life schedule. Fantastic experience: Prior to starting lessons with this driving school I thought I was unteachable! I had previously had a few driving instructors and with each of them I seemed to just keep getting more anxious of the road and worse at driving the longer I did it! I had almost lost hope, this really was what felt like my last try at driving ever. And with no experience driving on city roads, I was terrified. Rachel not only taught me to be a safe, confident driver, she also made me love driving… and I passed first time! Unbelievable! Rachel’s teaching method is fantastic, every time I felt too nervous to do something new, she fully stopped and took the time to talk about my feelings and learn what was causing the anxiety. Most importantly she used that information to gently continue to push me out of my comfort zone so that I kept progressing. She is not only a fantastic instructor, but a kind and compassionate human being who is a joy to be around. I always looked forward to my lessons and I’ll miss taking them now that I have passed my test!

Karol was an amazing teacher, helping me push myself each lesson. He also helped advise me with my theory test which I had trouble with the previous year. Having previously written off driving after unsuccessful test attempts with another instructor, I was so anxious to get back in the saddle. But I am so glad I did! I would recommend Gary in a heartbeat, especially to anyone who is nervous and needs someone patient and kind! I travelled to Canterbury from Surrey to stay learning with Gary throughout the last year. He was fantastic from day one and has done so much to rebuild my confidence. Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test back in January after failing two times and having 3 different instructors. I massively lacked confidence in my driving and felt as if I'd never pass. However, taking lessons with Dean from JHDS helped me tackle the issues I hadn't addressed. He taught me essential advice that other instructors neglected to tell me and took the time to explain things with diagrams and videos, taking careful consideration with explaining. I can't thank Dean enough for helping me pass, massively recommend!

Negative experience: My wife done driving lessons with marcello since July 23 and was told to book her driving test in advance with the waiting list being months behind she continued to do her lessons. As she got closer to her test they began mock exams within this time he had changed his car multiple times and we did not no that they had a rule that if you fail your mock exam 5days before your test they will not allow you to use there car the problem with this is that he had cancelled two lessons one being a week before the test now they are not allowing her to use there car for the test and they haven’t given her enough time to get a refund this is disgusting behaviour

Fantastic experience: New learners look no further! I would recommend John Harvey Driving School to anyone looking for great instructors at an affordable price point. My instructor Cristian was patient with me til' the end and taught me everything I needed to pass my test. I wasn't the most confident student and had some very nervy moments so it's testament to Cristian that he helped me to pass. The 2 hour slots help acclimatise you to the car and teaching is conducted at a pace that suits the learner. In my case it took a little bit longer but I was never made to feel pressured into progressing further than I had the ability to do. Thank you to the John Harvey Driving School and to Cristian. Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test first try today and it was all thanks to Gary Francis. He was unbelievably patient and his teaching methods are flawless. I left every lesson feeling like I'd made great progress and knew what I needed to do next. I started June last year and had a really rough period where I struggled with my driving simply due to overthinking everything as I lacked a lot of confidence but with Gary's help I was able to overcome it and get to the point where I was so confident in myself as a driver I didn't feel any nerves before or during my test only excitement :) I'm not sure if I could have done it with any other instructor and I'm so happy I struck gold with mine. I couldn't recommend him enough!

Fantastic experience: I recently passed my driving test for the first time with only three minors and it was all down to my incredible instructor John. John was an excellent instructor, he's incredibly calm and teaches driving in such a way that it makes you feel at ease within minutes of being behind the wheel. I had my first lesson back in Feb and informed John I had until Aug before my theory certificate expired and we just got straight down to business and covered all of the necessary points that you need to learn in order to pass your test. Having around 30+ hours of driving under my belt with John I was able to pass first time with only three minors! I'd highly recommend to anyone who wants to drive to do so through John Harvey's driving school as my whole experience was perfect. Thanks again to John and the rest of the team for allowing me to finally get my license.

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test the first time with Dean! He's an excellent instructor who makes you feel comfortable and confident when learning to drive. He always made sure to go at my own pace and gave regular encouragement. Dean always went above and beyond with his teaching. He not only answered any and all questions I had, but he would also go over any problems I had using a variety of teaching techniques, such as demonstrating it himself or using the ipad. I can't thank Dean enough for all his help. If you want an instructor that motivates you and provides a friendly environment, you can't go wrong with him.

Fantastic experience: I had John harvey as my instructor. He is very patient, calm and very knowledgeable! Passed first time! I would highly recommend his driving school!

Negative experience: When I booked a driving practice with your company, I explained to the instructor that I am not always available and would contact him days I am free to which he agreed. I did 6 hours with him and he agreed that we were going to use his car for the driving test, he wrote the date down. When I contacted him on 17th may, 9 days before the driving test, it was to confirm we were still going for the test and also if he could fit in dates for a mock test. He told me he had struck my name off as he felt I wasn't interested. He had my number , he never called or texted me to ask if I had lost interest. In the contract I signed it was never stated I had to be in touch every week but to give him a 3 day notice , which I did. Even after I explained that I had to leave the UK for a trip which accounted for the 4 weeks break. The least he should have done is to have informed me before deciding on his own to terminate the contract.

Fantastic experience: I recently passed my driving test first time, all thanks to my instructor, Marcello. Starting my lessons, I used to be super anxious about getting on the road but Marcello quickly made me feel extremely comfortable through his constant reassurance and encouragement. He was always so patient with me and I left each lesson smiling! I can't recommend the John Harvey Driving School enough!

Fantastic experience: Could not reccomend the John Harvey Driving School, and Gary the instructor, more! I came to him having previously tried to learn with another instructor, but I never passed my test with them due to nerves. Gary was so fantastic at being really calm and clear, and he really built my confidence up with a lot of mock tests! I felt so much more confident in the lead up to my test, and I passed on the first go with him today! Absolutely thrilled, and so grateful for all his help and support!
