Fantastic experience: Instructor - Jay. Jay is an amazing instructor, he taught me how to drive manual and I’ve passed my test from the first time with only 3 minor faults in one of the hardest test centers (Wanstead). He is really caring about his students, he would always find time for me, whatever worked for me best and sometimes would stay for longer just to show me how to drive properly. He definitely prepared me for more than just a test. On a test day I was quite relaxed and definitely had the skills to do anything test required (big roundabout, dual carriageways, emergency stops, all the manoeuvres, etc). He also helped me to find the test slot. 100% recommend!

Negative experience: Instructor uses her phone whilst learner is behind the wheel which is against the law. She has been reported to the DVSA

She was incredibly understanding and patient, always putting me at ease with her calm and reassuring approach. Throughout our lessons, she was consistently available to answer any questions and provided clear, optimistic guidance that made me feel confident about my test. There were times when I felt like giving up out of frustration, but her encouraging words and cheerful demeanor kept me motivated. Her friendly, bubbly personality made each lesson enjoyable, and her professional expertise ensured I was fully prepared for my test. By the time I took my test, I felt confident and ready, all thanks to her exceptional teaching. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a supportive and skilled driving instructor. Negative experience: DO NOT PICK JAY AS YOUR INSTRUCTOR! I had the immense displeasure of taking lessons with Jay last year, and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. He was incredibly rude, impatient, and at times borderline verbally abusive. He would regularly berate me when I would make a mistake, which would then make me feel even more nervous about being on the road. As a result my driving got worse during my time with him rather than better. He would also occasionally make racist and homophobic comments completely out of nowhere. I can't speak for the rest of the Ignite instructors, but if I were you I would avoid Jay like the plague.

Fantastic experience: Just passed due to Ahmed!! He’s such a patient and knowledgable instructor. He has been great for my learning journey and I passed with 0 minors!!! Would highly recommend him for your learning.

Negative experience: Zara and Sabiha are big liars, they pretend to be sick and can give lesson, and says that the doctor advised them to be in bed, a day later you will see them on snap in holiday, I first was with Zara a after a week she sent me photo of a swelling foot and she said she can't give lessons while Sabiha called me one day before our next lesson and said she dislocated her shoulder and can't give lessons for six months, following day she was on snap chat on holiday. They are liars and time wasters.

Fantastic experience: I just passed today thanks to Ahmed!!! I’m so happy I still can’t believe it on the first attempt!! Ahmed has tons of experience and knows loads of test centres so I really recommend him! I also appreciated how much flexibility he had with the lessons times. We did several mock tests and manoeuvres and practiced the test routes in Barking multiple times. Thank you Ahmed so much!!

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Ignite Driving School and especially Ahmed! Every lesson was tailored towards the skills I needed buildinging up to be a safe and confident driver. Had plenty of opportunities to practice maneuvers and do mock tests. When it was time for the test, nailed it first time! Very happy with the results and highly recommend the school :)

Negative experience: I had my lessons 2 years ago with Zara and Sabiha. Both are obnoxiously rude and besties who keep trying to have a conversations between my lessons anytime they see each other on the road. I’m paying for it and yet they’re wasting my time. On my first lesson with Zara, she made me pick up her daughter from school and drop her off home. She is also racist because during covid time any time she saw an East Asian person she will tell them to go back to their country and that they bough covid to the uk. And also when I first met her she said to me “I’m so glad you’re not a Somali girl because they’re too aggressive”. My lessons with Sabiha, she always aggressively kept trying to drag the wheel even though I drove completely fine. She would also cancel lessons half an hour before my actual lessons. I’m surprised to see that this company is deleting the bad reviews, because I saw the bad reviews about Sabiha and Zara and other instructors two weeks ago. So if you’re gonna get driving lessons at this company do not end up with these two.

Fantastic experience: PASSED FIRST TIME WITH RAHIM AHMED. Spent a little to few month taking lessons with Rahim and passed first time at Loughton. Every lesson was pre-planned and well organised. Always willing to accomadate any needs I had with tests and with how I felt on the lesson. It was an excellent experience taking lessons. They were relaxed and conversations were good. He was also very patient with my learning of hill starts in a manual, which I then got the hang of quickly with his help at Loughton. Will be missing my lessons now that I've passed.

Negative experience: AHMED in the AUDI was a EXTREMELY RUDE examiner , HE SHOULD FEAR ALLAH he shouted at me like I was a kid ,(literally screamed on my face as I was first learning to use 50mph dual carriageways and almost caused me to lose steering and I panicked so much ) he was so unprofessional and arrogant, he would give me replies such as “what do u think” and if I’m confused and ask him a question he once replied with “this is where common sense comes into play” and made me feel very bad , I’m dying if I’m lying but Ahmed once took me to a round about and told me not to give way and forced me to go in the round about shouting GO GO GO and I knew it wasn’t safe , a car almost crashed into us and it made a major scene , Ahmed then looked at me and said “you almost caused an accident” which shocked me as he shouted at me to go not knowing it was unsafe when he’s the instuctor. He was also very greedy for money telling me I was never test ready and advising me to double book lessons a week which he was getting filthy rich of me alone , funny enough I took one lesson with another bother and he said don’t take anymore lessons i’m test ready and I passed striaght after , Ahmed should not be an examiner for the safety of young people learning to drive and he is honestly rude and unsafe , I can not scream enough how bad of a instructor he was but I stuck with him because I had a test date and he was only available at the time , I did indeed FAIL with Ahmed and he couldn’t care less and just told me to book more lessons with him , he took lots of money from me and doesn’t deserve a penny of anyone else’s. AHMED IS UNSAFE, RUDE , AND SHOULD FEAR ALLAH!!!

Fantastic experience: i used to go to a different driving company where my driving instructor left me half way saying that driving wasn't for me and that really broke down my confidence. however after joining ignite my instructor Lify apa was very patient and and helped me work on my weaknesses. I also became more confident in my driving and managed to pass my test because of her teachings. she is a really amazing teacher and I would recommend her to anyone who doesn't feel confident in their driving

Fantastic experience: Lify Khala was amazing at teaching me to drive! She was so patient and understanding whilst also giving me helpful constructive critism in order to improve without making me feel bad about my mistakes!! She teaches every moment as a learning moment rather than just right or wrong and this helped me pass first time with just 1 minor within 8 months!! She is truly the best and I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for an amazing driving instuctor who will help you drive with ease and confidence❤️❤️

Negative experience: I am writing review now (last had a lesson at the end of may, so a couple of weeks ago) as this has been at the back of my head for a while but here goes. I had booked a 10 hour block for auto lessons around a month ago and was assigned to my instructor Karim. The lessons were good and I have learnt a lot during those lessons so props on that. However, Karim would be on his phone during the lessons I have with him and will gradually increase him talking to other people on his phone as the next lessons go on (keep in mind I had 5 lessons with 2 hours each for my 10 hour block). Additionally, on some little bits (such as turning late, which is common as I am still a learner driver) Karim would raise his voice and sometimes get frustrated, rather than keeping calm and assisting and helping me fix that mistake. Furthermore, I have informed Karim that I watch YouTube content on driving which helps me revise the content better and improve, but rather than disagreeing, he just tells me off to not use the app as its used for "entertainment" (when I am watching it for educational purposes and processing the information). The last straw was when he tried to re-schedule a lesson with no context to another day, but scheduled my lesson an hour later than planned before and ended my lesson early with no reason or debrief of what has been covered, hence me only covering 7 1/2 hours of driving lesson content with Karim. I have contacted ignite to which they did issue me a refund for the lessons not covered (in this case only 1 of the 5 lessons) so props to the company for getting it sorted out and contacting me back quickly. Karim has the potential to become a really good instructor as his teaching tips and techniques are great, but a lot needs to be worked on, especially his professionalism and patience on some things (i.e. turning on roads). I hope this review helps you make a decision on whether to use ignite or not for your lessons and whatever instructor you get.

Negative experience: Took 2 lesson with Aziz Very unprofessional guy. Some one passed me his number ,i booked him through whats app for 1 hour lesson. Before my first lesson he cancelled my appointment because he took double booking & he won’t cancel the other person because other person is taking two hour lesson! Before my second lesson he cancel my appointment for his family emergency & he cancelled my 3rd lesson just because there’s too much traffic in the road !! Seriously!! & all the lessons he cancelled like maximum 1 hour before the scheduled time !

Fantastic experience: I started driving lessons with Ignite, having zero experience and passed my test on the first attempt. My instructor was Jay and he's helped me not only pass my test, but also become confident in my ability to drive. I would not be as skilled and confident of a driver without his expertise.

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was Khaleda, she was amazing and I am so grateful I came across her. She was so professional, she made me feel comfortable and she brought out the confidence in me that I was holding in. Khaleda is such a lovely person, I felt like I have known her for years. I passed my driving test and she was just as happy for me as I was for myself, that goes to show that it is more than just a job for her. If I was able to give her more than 5 starts I would.

He has been an invaluable resource for developing my driving skills, and I was fortunate enough to pass on the first go. Zee has a great eye for detail and takes the time to explain the nuances of driving in a thorough and thoughtful manner. I am extremely grateful for the skills and knowledge that I have acquired from Zee and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn how to drive.

Negative experience: Mizan is a very opportunistic and time wasting instructor . On the first few lessons he was a good instructor but once u book blocks with him he will waste Most of your time, he won’t teach you anything. He goes home, eats and even does other stuff at your expense. Every day he wasted 15 to 20 minutes of my time at his home doing something instead of teaching me how to drive . Avoid this guy. One day God is going to give him back what he has been doing with his students.

Fantastic experience: I would absolutely recommend my instructor Sabeha. She was with me from my very first lesson until I passed. I had an amazing experience, and I am very grateful for the support and kindness I received. My instructor helped me immensely in gaining valuable driving skills at a pace I was comfortable with. She was always very patient with me and explained everything in a very straightforward manner! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I’m very happy with this driving school. My instructor Jay was very professional. He helped me to improve my driving skills, walked me through all the differences of driving in the UK. I passed my test from the first attempt in the Wanstead test centre with zero minor faults (manual transmission)! I’ve also completed Pass Plus with Jay which helped me to build more confidence in driving. I would highly recommend Jay as he is an amazing instructor!

Fantastic experience: I will recommend Ignite to everyone I know. I previously came from a different school where I was made to feel uncomfortable and insecure which put me off driving for some time. I contacted Ignite and they put me in contact with Lify. She was really nice and super understanding of my situation and gave me endless encouragement every lesson even when I made silly mistakes. She taught me everything and then some. Her lessons are structured straightforwardly so there was never anything missed. I can thankfully say that I passed today because of her.

Negative experience: SO UNPROFFESSIONAL!! Signed with one driving instructor and it got cancelled for being sick but the Instructer called only phoned to tell me at the time of our lesson - didn’t bother to tell me at least an hour before

Fantastic experience: I had a very good experience with Zara. She is a punctual and professional trainer. She always reaches on time. Her training helped me to pass my driving test. 5 star to her.

Negative experience: Had a good experience with Ignite at first with Lify as my driving instructor but after months and months of lessons she abruptly told me that she could no longer teach me leaving me without an instructor with my practical test not far away!! Ignite and Lify were highly unprofessional and did not even offer to assist me with finding a substitute instructor. Stay well away from this driving school and find another that will teach you from start to finish without making an already stressful time even worse.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely recommend Jay from Ignite driving school. I had my driving test at Wanstead and I passed with zero faults on a manual car. A bit of a background about me, I have driven in India so I am not new to driving. However, in my case, Jay helped me polish my driving skills and learn skills and techniques that made me worthy of Driving on the London roads. I took around 10hrs+ lessons with Jay and he helped me identify the bad habits I had picked up over the years and we worked on those. Jay is very good instructor and one of his traits is that he is direct and will not shy away from providing you with good constructive feedback all through the way. 5 stars to Jay and I absolutely recommend him.

Negative experience: Zak Irdem is a horrible instructor. He missed 1 of my test. And this meant that I had to take more lessons until my next test. He did not even pick me up from my house in two instances. One time he made me walk 3 roads away from my house and the second time he made me meet up with him in a petrol station. He also made me drop off another learner home and some of the lessons involved him popping into a coffee and bakery shop wasting 5 minutes of my money.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 would recommend. I had Zara as an instructor and she helped me pass with 1 minor! She explained things clearly and precisely as well as having a laugh. Thank you Zara!

Positive experience: Rahim Ahmed was the instructor who taught me. I wasn't a beginner and he immediately told me I needed only a few hours of classes to pass the test. At no point did I feel that he was interested in exploiting and make money from me. He covered all topics for the test as well as general driving skills on roads. Was very flexible with times and lessons leading to the test. I have already recommended him to other friends of mine.

Negative experience: After seeing an advert I called up to inquire. In doing so I learnt that in fact the offer shown was not actually available. The woman Jass seemed to not understand / care about the implications of intentional false advertising and claimed she had asked the shop to remove the poster. I was disappointed but willing to accept her much higher price for 30 hours of lessons and explained what I needed. She happily agreed and said it was possible for me to do so. After calling twice she eventually called back only to explain how busy she was and that in fact, contrary to her previous comments, was in fact fully booked as were her other drivers. She also seemed to think I cared that she was in need of a holiday. Her attitude and manner on the phone was cheap and unprofessional and she seemed confused about how many days and week are in a month. Avoid this unprofessional outfit. Complete scam

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with Ignite Driving School, My instructor was Zara and she has to be the best instructor I would ever recommend. Previously I took lesson with a different instructor from a independent school who didn't teach me in the correct manner. After taking my 1st lesson with Zara, I noticed the quality of her teaching would be the best one for me, so I decided to stick with her until my exam. Passed on my 1st attempt in Goodmayes Driving Test center. Thank you Ignite for finding me such a wonderful instructor!

Fantastic experience: Had an excellent month of lessons with Ahmed and passed first time at a test centre neither me or Ahmed had much knowledge of showing how good the standard of driving he'd get you to as I was able to drive in an unknown area. Ahmed gives you the confidence and freedom on the road and is able to reassure you in any sticky situation. Passed in about a month of lessons that totalled 20 hours. 100% Recommend Ahmed.

Fantastic experience: Took my driving lessons and prepared for my test with Zara and passed at barking test centre. I was a previous driver but needed a UK license so had some bad habits. Zara helped me feel confident taking round abouts and really prepared me for what the examiners look out for. She even moved her schedule around to give me some more hours before my test! I really appreciate her and I would definitely recommend her for new and already existing drivers.

Fantastic experience: Huge thanks to Zahid, with whom I started lessons last year, after not very good experiences with other schools (have failed 2 tests and was looking for more lessons to prepare for the next one). Lessons with Zahid were my best ones; always punctual, very professional attitude. As many learners, I felt very nervous when driving and Zahid's lessons really helped to be confident on the road and later, on the test. He also tirelessly corrected all my mistakes, taking time and repeating tasks until I could do it without prompting. What is more, I enjoyed the lessons with Zahid all the time, driving was not stressful anymore but something to look forward to. The car was a joy to drive as well, very responsive and easy to handle!

Negative experience: Do you not book your lessons with this driving school.They are very rude and unprofessional and they break lockdown rules. I had eight lessons with Zara and I did not learn anything, complete waste of money. They are a big fraud and will be reported to the DVLA.

Fantastic experience: Just passed my test first time round with Ignite Driving School - my instructor was Rahim Ahmed I can not recommend Rahim Ahmed enough - he is patient, calm and really knows his stuff . He made me feel at ease from the first lesson which is so important when learning to drive. Also the price is really competitive for London. 10/10 recommend.

Fantastic experience: I approached Ignite through a referral as I was looking to get my UK DL sorted and was put in touch with Ahmed. I was quite particular on passing my test by taking the fewest classes required and without spending too much as I have been driving overseas for the last 7 years. Ahmed was understanding of my requirements (and at no point tried to make more money by suggesting I take more classes than I needed!), patient with his instructions and flexible with providing me with longer classes. He also supported me in taking my test outside his standard catchment area to ensure that we could take the test at the earliest possible opportunity. Ahmed's VW Golf was in great condition and is an ideal car to learn and pass the test in. I would strongly recommend Ignite, and more specifically Ahmed, to anyone trying to learn to drive and pass the test in London.

Fantastic experience: I just passed my driving test with Lify. I was previously with a different school but did not have a very good experience with the instructor so I joined Ignite as they had good reviews. My mum also passed with ignite and recommended them to me. Lify was welcoming, friendly and patient and I never felt uncomfortable with her. She teaches the driving techniques in a way that you will be able to remember. As I am a student, I took lessons slowly and whenever I was free but Lify was understanding and accommodating to my schedule. I was a very anxious driver at the start but now I’m more confident and eager to drive. Thanks to ignite and Lify for helping me pass.

Fantastic experience: Ignite Driving School and its instuctors are very good at what they do, I passed first time with the help of my instructor, Moklu Miah. His teaching is amazing and clear, he is very patient and understanding. Driving is scary at first but he puts the effort in to making it less. Insuring every step of the way that you are doing a good job as well as letting you drive safely. I was recommended to him by other students who have passed with with ignite which also passed first time with him. Yes, passing test is not definite result but Moklu will teach you at a high standard and make you into a safe and confident driver. So passing your test will come easy. As my instructor, instead of the typical money grabbing techniques some instructors may do to bank more money off their students (talking from experience), Moklu will always encourage his students to save money on lessons and recommends forwarding it into teaching his students using pass plus, which will ultimately save money for insurance and help drivers gain much more valuable driving experience after passing the test. Very helpful information for people on budget as well as students looking to drive.

Fantastic experience: I started taking lessons from July with Jalal. Helped me a lot in terms explaining rules of the roads that have to be taken into account of whilst driving. I can't express enough how much he has assisted me in my driving. The test routes with him have been great in terms of getting the similar route I did with uncle the last hour before the test today. I'm so happy to say that I have passed first time (manual) with him as he has helped me become a confident and a well assertive driver when it comes to judgement. I can't thank Jalal uncle enough. He has to be the best instructor. Anyone who wants to take lessons whether it's your family or friends, I would 100% refer this instructor. I am also a student, everything he teaches is not only for the practical driving test in which he wants you to pass but most importantly, he wants you to be safe when you pass your driving so the tips he has given me will benefit me for life. Fantastic experience: Best experience I've had with a driving school. I passed first time with only 3 minors thanks to my brilliant and supportive instructor Ahmed. I thoroughly enjoyed driving his VW golf gtd. I can happily and confidently recommend Ignite to anyone trying to get their license.

Clear precise instructions which allowed me to drive without any hesitation also planned lessons allowed me to learn manoeuvres and overall driving at a excellent rate. Fantastic experience: I started my driving lessons with jalal in the beginning of August, he made me feel very comfortable and at ease throughout my time with him. In the middle of August my driving instructor then changed to Ahmed. Ahmed prepared me with a lot of patience and understanding for my test and thanks to them both I have managed to pass first time with very few lessons! :)

I have tried three different driving instructors from other companies but when I came to ignite I learnt so much in a short space of time and have confidently passed my test with the support of ignite instructors. Fantastic experience: So happy with my experience. Started learning with Zara in January and passed yesterday. I was with a previous instructor who was unprofessional, late and took me for a test when i wasn't ready. Zara taught me from the beginning and corrected all her mistakes, was never late or cancelled last minute, and takes her job very seriously. She doesn't waste time and treats serious faults as serious, which is so important to ensure you yourself take them seriously and understand dangers on the road. Gave me lots of time before my test date as well so i felt confident, and pushed me to book my test when she knew i was ready. Very happy and i wouldn't recommend any other school.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of being taught by both Ali and Zara. Both equally amazing, patient and highly experienced instructors. Before joining this school my last instructor told me that its best I take my lessons in auto as I would never pass in manual. That was his exact words. Thanks to the help of Zara and Ali, after approximately 25hours I passed in manual. I’ve trialled AA, Holborn driving school and east London driving school (the instructor who said I wouldn’t pass in manual) and all three instructors and schools could never compare to what ignite driving school can offer you. Fantastic experience: I would like to thank my driving instructor Zara who was excellent! She always went the extra mile to ensure that I was making progress each and every lesson. She is firm but she also has many years of experience and knows what she is doing so I trusted her and passed with flying colours!
