Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Andrew as my instructor learning to anyone! After leaning from him for almost 2 months he not only took time to demonstrate how to do it the right way but also eliminated any fear I had surrounding the test and taking the time to book me in where ever he could. Thanks to his help I passed first time which I didn't expect. I couldn't have done it without his help! I highly recommend!

Negative experience: I have rated my experience a 1 star due to the instructor Yeuton Crandon, he seemed uninterested in helping me learn he was disrespectful and I would advise asking for another instructor if he’s been given to you.

Fantastic experience: I was highly recommended Tina as an instructor by my sister who had been taught by her before, and what can I say? My experience has been just excellent. As I can be quite an anxious person in general, I knew driving was going to be no different. But Tina massively helped me build up my confidence, and always knew when I needed a challenge or a pep talk. I'd go as far as to say Tina has helped me become a more confident person both inside and outside the car! I'm very pleased to say I was able to pass my first test with only two minors safely and even - at times - calmly! Fantastic experience: I have learnt with Yeuton C. from the get-go and cannot express my thanks enough!!! I chose to learn with direct drive after reading reviews and I am beyond delighted with my experience. Throughout my learning journey he has ensured I am aware of any errors/areas I needed to be more mindful off, in encouraging ways and really knows how to work well with me when I struggled with nerves/confidence. He is patient, kind and very encouraging- I was quite apprehensive initially as I had not had much experience before and I was unsure what my instructor may be like- but I could not have learnt In better hands. I highly recommend Yeuton as an instructor. I was quite nervous on my first test and a minor error coupled with my nerves led towards me failing my test (serious fault). I was gutted of course and thrown off a bit as I was questioning my capability. Yeuton was nothing but supportive and encouraging and said, not to worry, give it another go. I have now passed my second test a few weeks later- with no faults and will be booking with Yeuton again to further develop my skills on the motorway- I am grateful for all the tips and skills you have taught me, you have really aided my confidence on the roads! thank you so much for being such a brilliant instructor! Fantastic experience: Simon is an amazing driving instructor and focuses more on making you a good driver and be able to drive to any test route! I passed on my first time with him and this is my second attempt! I really like how he paid attention to strengths and weaknesses and then work on the weakness on the following lesson! I was so anxious on today as I did my test today and he managed to talk to me about it and then told me to believe in myself as he believed in me too and I passed with only two minor faults! Highly knowledgeable and experienced around Croydon/Mitcham. Today, I passed first time in Mitcham with just one minor mistake. Fantastic experience: I had a 25 hour "intensive" course with Tina, having had a few hours of experience with a different instructor, and had a really great experience overall. She's a pleasure to get on with and a fantastic teacher, which meant in the space of two weeks I went from being quite unsure on the road to passing my test with ease. We even had some time to do some motorway practice during the week, which will be invaluable in future. Aside from the in-car experience, arranging the lessons was very easy and there was clear communication in terms of dates and times. All in all, a great experience, and I would recommend her to anybody wanting to learn how to drive.

Fantastic experience: When I first decided to have lessons I was so nervous, I honestly couldn’t see myself ever passing, especially in London. But Simon was really encouraging and gave me the confidence I needed. He was very patient and clear in his instruction which was helpful as I can get flustered when I’m anxious. He was also very kind to me whenever I got upset or scared, which can happen when you first start! And after just over a year of lessons with Simon I passed with only one minor fault! I would highly recommend Simon as an instructor, because he’s not just a good teacher, he’s a lovely person too. Learning to drive is intimidating, and you need a reassuring and supportive person that you can trust by your side to guide you through, and that’s what Simon was for me.

Fantastic experience: Simon has been my tutor for the past few months - or maybe that should be was my tutor because I am now a first time passer thanks to his direction and dedication... From the first lesson (with my never having been behind the wheel) he gave me a clear path to me taking the test and made sure I stuck to it Not only were his teaching methods clear and concise but they were done with humour I had such a great time learning with him and will miss our weekly lesson - I'm sure I would have eventually passed elsewhere but I doubt it would have been as quick or I'd be as confident as I am thanks to his guidance

He always mentions, "We have to do things right without rushing!" This exactly works for anything we do. Fantastic experience: Wow I’m absolutely stoked to have passed today. I have been learning on and off since 18 yrs old I'm 32 and recently a new mum. I made it my mission to be consistent and get my licence this year. I was using a well known driving school and was disappointed with the pace of learning, far too slow (4 months of learning and still working on the basics! ). I switched to DD with Simon and in 2 months I’ve passed with only 1 minor fault. I couldn’t recommend him more highly, he’s a brilliant instructor and has a lot of patience. I left all lessons feeling good as opposed to previous instructors who have sometimes brought me to tears! Thanks so much!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend enough Simon at Direct drive, he was absolutely brilliant. Hands down the best teacher I have had for any discipline or subject, his patience, guidance and support were second to none. I managed to pass my driving test first time with one minor in 5 weeks of lessons. Previous to this I had had 6 hours worth of driving lessons 3 years ago, and my lessons were the only time I was in a car I had no outside people to gain more driving experience outside of this so I was effectively a beginner. I am hugely grateful for all I learned from Simon, I not only learned how to pass but I learned how to drive. For me confidence was a huge reason I knew I was going to get there, but my confidence was certainly built by the help and knowledge I received on my lessons. I had failed my test twice with another instructor and approached Tony to have look at my driving. I was anxious but Tony handled my case perfectly. Fantastic experience: I only had 4 lessons with Simon and I passed FIRST time today with only 3 minors!!! Simon is an amazing instructor who was extremely patient and very encouraging. He is very puntual and tailors the lessons as per our knowledge and skill. He not only helped me to pass, but also made me a confident and safe driver. When i got an earlier slot for the exam, its Simon who encouraged me that i can clear. I really saw improvement in my driving , class after class. I was so tensed on the exam day but Simon said i am going to pass 100% and yes after 40 mins he was right. I passed. I am glad i found Simon as my instructor and i will recommend Simon to anyone who would want to pass and be a better driver. People in Croydon, Mitcham, West Wikham, Morden, Simon is your guy. Fantastic experience: Passed today for the FIRST TIME thanks to Kevin at direct driving. I was originally with a previous driving school before I switched to direct driving. On my 1st lesson with Kevin I learnt more than I did than on my previous 20 lessons with my old driving instructor. Fantastic experience: Just passed my test today first time with only two minors and can't thank my driving instructor Tina enough! My previous instructor taught me so many bad habits but Tina corrected them really quickly and was super good at teaching the manoeuvres! Negative experience: Horrible. They Instructor Simon is a Cheat. he took more then 30 hrs and I wasn't a new bee i already had experience driving. He was shouting whenever u make a mistake which made more nervous. then just 1 day before the exam he tell i am not ready and he wouldn't take me for the exam. If i wasn't ready he could have told me a week before so i could have cancelled the exam. plus took the money for exam and then he saying he will give 2 hr class instead as favour. 2 hrs class cost 75 and he has taken much more for the exam. how can he charge me car rental when he himself not giving me the car for test. then after this i stop taking classes he is telling there is test available and you are ready. how did i become ready suddenly without taking classes. He did even worst with others.

She is a really great teacher, who makes driving fun, is calm/patient, friendly, committed and tailors learning to each individual. She is also clear with her instructions/guidance. Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Direct Drive driving school. Wouldn’t have passed my driving test today with three minors without Tina’s patience and constant positivity. I had almost given up following a bad experience with another driving instructor and due to driving test nerves. Our driving lessons were a vibe and Tina was ALWAYS calm - not to mention she has a fantastic and eclectic music taste. She never criticises but instead provides a fun and engaging environment to learn and just have fun! I’m definitely going to miss our chats and the banter and I doubt there’s a better instructor in South London.

Fantastic experience: I just had my driving test today, passed first time with 0 faults after doing an intensive course with Direct Drive. Tina was a very friendly and thorough driving instructor. She was patient at all times, even when she had to repeat herself and always gave clear instructions. She made me feel at ease, and made an extra effort to reduce my stress when I was feeling anxious leading up towards my test. She also has a cracking sense of humour. Could not recommend Tina enough!

Fantastic experience: After having a bad experience at another driving school in Croydon where the instructor degrades me and shouted at me on the first lesson. I went to Direct Drive and got lessons with Andrew Watson.. The BEST instructor I could have asked for! So patient and calm even in stressful situations for a new driver. He has such a calming presence and doesn’t make you feel silly for asking the same questions over again. I passed my test all because of him! Not only that, but I feel so confident to drive by myself cause I know exactly what I’m doing because of him. Couldn’t recommend him enough

Fantastic experience: Excellent time with Tina then Simon, and passed the first time (a tribute to them!) Both were extremely patient, and Tina extra helpful in helping me connect with Simon to move from manual to automatic a few weeks before my test given I had prior driving experience with it from another country. They were good at building lessons one on another so that the knowledge grew, and in using verbal explanations, written diagrams, and practical experience (like in the moment corrections) for how to drive and pass the test. I’d have no reservations recommending them for international drivers needing to learn or take the British test, or for brand new learners starting out.

I thought it would be difficult as I had my test shortly from when I started my classes. Would have not been possible without him. He is very calm, friendly and professional. He made sure I practiced a lot to get comfortable before the test and took me around the possible test routes and car parks where we could practice manoeuvres and emergency stops. That made me quite confident before the test. Kevin will definitely help you pass your test but most importantly make you a safe and a confident driver. Thank you so much Kevin. Fantastic experience: Andrew has been a legend! I only had a week to practice before my driving test and although it was super intense, I felt that I learnt so much from him in just under a week. Although I knew how to drive, I learned the correct techniques from Andrew. He made sure to pass as much information as possible to me and correct my driving during this short period of time. Fantastic experience: Had an instructor with a different company a few years ago, they made me hate driving, 2 years later I thought I’d give it a go again and when I was given Tina as my instructor my whole outlook on driving changed she made me love driving and helped me massively when it came to my test. Fantastic experience: I had Simon as my instructor and he was fantastic, we went through a fair share of obstacles with lockdowns and restrictions but he always helped me back on track when we started again. He was extremely patient and made me feel relaxed and at ease, and knew exactly how to approach teaching the lessons, thanks to Simon I passed first time with just one minor! Thanks for everything!

Fantastic experience: If I could give Tina more than 5 stars I would. She is an incredible driving instructor, who took me from a complete novice to passing my driving test with 1 minor. Like many others have said, the way she teaches is perfect. Personalising the contents of lessons to make sure you as a student learn the most out of them, allowing you to really master every component of driving. However, what makes Tina an even better instructor is her friendly and comforting nature. From the first lesson to the last, it has always been a joy to have driving lessons with her . Tina's ability to understand the fustrations that come when learning and providing constant support regardless what mistakes you make builds your confidence immensely. Plus her unwavering patience and positivity turns it from potentially stressful lessons to lessons I've always been looking forward to. Without Tina's teaching and guidance there's no way I would've been able to pass especially with 1 minor and it's no surprise that so many of her students pass in the exact same way with a few or no minors. I will always recommend Tina to any individual who wants to learn driving, an absolutely driving instructor!

Fantastic experience: Patrick was absolutely fantastic and just so calm and clear. He never once got annoyed at me, and any time I made a mistake, it was just a clear calm explanation and we corrected and moved on. I always looked forward to getting in the car for lessons with Patrick and he really made me feel so comfortable with any situation that could occur. And best of all, I got 0 minors on the test itself. I couldn't recommend Patrick highly enough and you'll certainly enjoy learning to drive with him.

Fantastic experience: I did 4 hours lessons with Andrew for 2 days and went straight for the exam. I passed on my first attempt with short lessons. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to nail it on first attempt. Andrew, best driving instructor and always on time.

Fantastic experience: After many lessons and previous attempts to pass over many years I was left demoralised and was planning to give up driving altogether. A friend reccommded I try a different car and instructor before cancelling my test which was planned for 12 days time. Instructor Kevin was reccommded to me and he kindly accommodated 10 lessons leading up to my test. His kind professional manner, enthusiasm for teaching and the quality of his car was a huge improvement for me and my ability to control a manual car. I'm so grateful to Kevin for having expanded on my driving skills and given me the confidence to take my test and pass!!!! Thanks you for all your help, much appreciated. I'm glad there are teachers like Kevin who sincerely believe in their students and most importantly enjoy their work!
