Fantastic experience: I would really thank Umer driving school on getting me a full driving license, special shout out for my instructor Bilal who has been really motivating me on my journey….Bilal has been so punctual on his driving sessions, obviously it takes some time to build repo between student and instructor but I always felt so comfortable speaking to him. I don’t deny there has been some tuff days and I felt like running away from the procees but like I said, Bilal has always motivated me and kept himself so calm reminding things to me. I may have lost my temper sometimes and I feel sorry for that but he always brought me on track….Big thanks to Bilal and obviously Umer driving school who introduced me to him.

Fantastic experience: You know what, these guys really know what they are doing. Excellent service, extremely dependable, and they set you up perfectly for success. I’ve been driving for a few years in another country but needed to take a driving test to drive in the UK. After contacting a few other driving schools with incompatible and inflexible schedules, I got in touch with Umer Driving School. Before long I was connected with Haris, and we worked out a schedule that worked out for me. I thought I needed only a few hours of practice but after my first couple of lessons I could tell I needed more. I definitely got all the direction I needed from Haris- he is very patient, very clear and makes you feel very comfortable behind the wheel. It’s important to have an instructor who is calm and encouraging, because you will feel nervous, especially as you get closer to your driving test date! I practiced for about 26 hours with Haris and every lesson he was professional, attentive, and very encouraging. At the end of each lesson he provided a recap of what I learned and areas I needed to improve, and by the next lesson, those areas were ironed out and perfected. All in all, it was a great learning experience. My driving definitely got better faster because I had an excellent instructor. I passed my test on my second try (would have been first if not for a silly mistake!) and I’m sure you will find success quickly as well using Umer Driving School. Go for it!

Negative experience: I had to report a driving instructor from this driving school for ILLEGALLY parking I. The disabled bay outside where I live to the police and Croydon council parking services and they seemed to not understand that parking ILLEGALLY on a disabled bay with a learner in the car is virtually teaching them it’s alright whereas disabled parking bays are protested in law by The Equality Act 2010 the same as disabled people like me are. Why a driving instructor doesn’t know that parking for over half an hour illegally is not right I don’t know but this won’t be the first instructor I’ve reported Ive since been told that the instructor is disabled, but if so then why was there no blue badge displayed in the car’s window?!? The book that comes with the badge tells the holder the rules for using it and parking in disabled bays, also as a driving instructor they should know that blue badges are for disabled people to park closer to where they need to go, not to drive up to a disabled bay and sit in the car for an hour. The illegality is blocking a disabled bay and stopping others from parking there with their valid blue badges and the driving school boss giving me, an actually disabled person grief for reporting illegal parking is beyond a joke and I shall be reporting both the driver nd the school to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (Instructor Conduct) as I have done before when faced with abuse from self entitled instructors, the Registar of Approved Driving Instructors is very helpful and considerate P.S. you accuse me of lying and only knowing half the truth, when in fact I checked if there was a blue badge on display, you also accuse me of “spying out of window”, so its you that know none of the truth as I don’t have to or need to spy as my window faces the 2 disabled bays and therefore its easy to see ableist drivers parking where they have no right especially when Ive had to stay here all day every day unless I’m at the hospital having treatment for my disability which is why they send hospital transport for me that uses the disable bay or at other medical appointments, because thats what life with an incurable chronic disability is like and so how you believe I could become a parking attendant when Ive been signed off as uninformed to work since 2011 is beyond me!

I passed my exam in the first attempt after taking 20 lessons and it’s them. cleared my practical test today in first attempt. The driving instructor is so helpful and friendly. His way of teaching, patience and knowledge makes your lessons easy , confident and fun . I really appreciate him.
