Fantastic experience: I would like to give a 5 star review to my instructor and good friend Krishna from HSM. When I started searching for driving lessons, I was quite lost to be honest so I did my research on different driving schools, read many reviews (like you are probably doing just know) and came across HSM where I read about Krishna. He already had a good reputation so I decided to book a trial lesson and give it a chance. From the very beginning he set the expectations properly and was able to understand my capabilities to adapt his lesson to my skills. At all times, he made me feel very safe and confident, letting me learn the roads and get comfortable with the car. He manages to create a fun and constructive environment that made me learn and improve very fast. As I kept building my confidence and my driving skills, he pushed me to take me to the right standard for the driving test. When he felt I was ready, he guided me through the process of finding a test. Which as you probably know already, is quite difficult. Once we found a test, we prepared a specific program with different test routes and manoeuvres to make sure that I was fully ready to pass the test. Finally, I passed my test on the first try with almost any mistakes! In conclusion, he was able to teach me in a very fun and fast way. So, if you are considering taking any driving lessons, just book in one trial lesson with Krishna and you will see for yourself exactly what I’ve told you here. His way of teaching is very easy to understand and he has great methods and techniques to help pass the exam. Negative experience: For a company that preaches about professionalism, you can expect better manners from a 3 year old! I had pulled over to check out my tyres and was then greeted by beeping from the driving instructor (infront of his pupil and on a residential street). He had then proceeded to jump out of the car and start shouting at me to move my car. I stated that there was ample space for the pupil to get out of the spot without any issues but the instructor did not like this. He began telling me I shouldn’t be parked here (as if he owns the roads) and started shouting the odds at me. He told me to go back to work (when he is the unlucky one working on a saturday). He then told his pupil to drive on and got parallel to my car and began arguing with me for the third time. He started threatening me and saying he would ring the traffic warden on me (for parking in the exact same spot that HE was also parked in!!!) He is a poor excuse of a driving instructor and should seriously re-consider his career choices if he is not happy. I genuinly feel sorry for the pupil who had to witness someone he is paying to teach him how to drive behave like this on the roads…

From the moment I booked my lessons to the day of my test, the support and guidance from the instructors were outstanding. I booked my lessons exactly one month before my test. Although I had prior experience driving both manual and automatic cars, I hadn't driven a manual car in almost 10 years. I wanted to regain confidence and brush up on my manual driving skills, and HSM provided the perfect environment for that. Initially, I was assigned to instructor Corneliu lonut-popa, who was nothing short of amazing. His patience, expertise, and ability to pinpoint areas for improvement helped me ease back into manual driving. My experience was truly top-notch from start to finish, and I have to give a special mention to my first instructor, whose patience and expertise were instrumental in helping me regain confidence behind the wheel. My goal was to refresh my skills, and he made that process incredibly smooth and stress-free. From the very first lesson, he made me feel completely at ease. He had a remarkable ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms, which was crucial for me as I was re-learning the nuances of driving a manual car. What stood out the most was their patience—no matter how many times I fumbled with gear changes or struggled with hill starts, they remained calm and encouraging. It’s rare to find an instructor who can balance professionalism with a friendly, approachable attitude, but Instructor Popa did just that. Their attention to detail was outstanding. They quickly identified the areas where I needed improvement and tailored each lesson to address those specific challenges. Whether it was perfecting my clutch control or fine-tuning my observation skills at junctions, he made sure I was not just learning but mastering each technique. Their constructive feedback after every lesson gave me the confidence to improve without feeling overwhelmed. Unfortunately, midway through my lessons, Corneliu had to return to his home country for personal reasons. I was genuinely sad to see him go, as they had laid such a solid foundation for my learning. However, they ensured a smooth transition to my second instructor, who continued the excellent instruction. I was a bit nervous about the transition, but Shamraiz Akhtar took over seamlessly, and I couldn't have asked for a better continuation of my lessons. He was equally professional, supportive, and incredibly encouraging, making sure I was fully prepared for the test. I cannot thank my instructors enough for their dedication, patience, and encouragement. They took what could have been a stressful experience and turned it into a positive, enjoyable journey. Because of their incredible teaching, I felt fully prepared and confident by the time my test day arrived. Fantastic experience: I can say it was my day or I had been lucky , but I must admit how well Hassnain Jamil managed to get me test ready in just 7 sessions. Negative experience: Incredibly dangerous close pass by one of the instructors. How can an ex-examiner be unaware of the 2022 changes to the Highway Code and the current requirements for overtaking cyclists? How can they think it is acceptable to overtake a cyclist riding in primary position on a single lane road? Appreciate the quick response. The incident happened around 13.30 on the road passing decathlon in Reading. Your instructor told me that she was required to give a metre when passing. This is incorrect, so at least one instructor you employ does not know the Highway Code for rules concerning more vulnerable road users

Fantastic experience: I had my first lesson after a year with Krishna and was scared that I would not be able to get back up to grips with things. Krishna was great with giving instructions and getting me back on the road confidently, I felt a lot better and safer on the road compared to last time when I was driving and was able to pick things up quickly.

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test today first time after 2ish months of intense driving lessons. I did around 4 hours a week. I was quite time pressured to pass due to starting work in September and Hassnain tried his best to give me as many hours as possible. Hassnain is such a patient driving instructor. He gives great feedback after each lessons too so you know what to focus on next time. Mock tests before the actual driving test helped so much too. Thank you for helping me pass.

I felt very comfortable practicing beside him and he takes you through all important aspects of driving. I was able to clear the driving test on my first attempt with the help of him.

Fantastic experience: Shaheen Ex driving examiner from HSM helped me massively with my practical driving test. Identified my faults during a mock test and showed me clearly where I went wrong and then we started to work on the faults and was up to the standard of the DVSA very quick. With only one lesson with her before my test I was able to pass with flying colours. She is a very very good driving instructor and I would highly recommend her to any learner drivers. Fantastic experience: I'd like to share my experience learning with HSM driving school. My instructors name was Farzana- an incredible woman who was exactly who I needed to keep me going. After several failed attempts of passing my practical test, she kept me going and gave me the confidence it took to pass in a new area. She went above and beyond by making sure I got in the hours of practice I needed and went the extra mile to take me out of Reading on test to Basingstoke twice. Farzana ensured I had mastered every manoeuvre before my test date and that I had experience in all driving conditions. Her main goal was for me to have perfected the skill of driving to ensure I would be a safe and confident driver when on my own after passing my test. Can't thank her enough for all her effort and support even beyond my test, she still checks in and is available to give me advice when I need her. Fantastic experience: Where do I start? This has been an adventure due to the backlog of awaiting test dates since the lockdown began(You know the feeling) However, For those who are not aware, Shaheen, an ex driving examiner an also my primary instructor, is not only extremely overqualified and respected in her field,but we have also developed a close relationship due to our shared family-oriented values and her desire to help people(Being primary care nurse myself). She was still able to exhibit the critical ability to empathise with the challenges encountered by a new student, which is what distinguishes an excellent teacher, despite this. It is strongly advised that HSM driving school be considered for this endeavour, as they are exceptional at identifying areas of concern through their active in-class coaching methods, are highly precise in identifying mistakes, and are adept at establishing a feedback loop that guarantees the student meets the criteria for fast learning. This has been essential for comprehending the primary areas of failure and blind spots that WILL present a challenge during a driving examination(TRUST ME!) I would like to remind those who believe it is too late to learn to drive that I was only able to continue my career as a professional nurse in my late 60s with the help, supervision, and professionalism of HSM. Additionally, they provided me with early scheduling dates for which is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED service. I have truly enjoyed the experience, and the satisfaction of successfully passing my driving test has rendered the investment worthwhile.
