Fantastic experience: I had an amazing time learning to drive with Sara as my instructor! She taught me everything I needed to know with crystal clear explanation which helped me to become a safe and confident driver. If I had to go back in time to pass my test again, I would no doubt choose Sara as she is an awesome instructor with great Netflix recommendations!

Fantastic experience: I had around 47 lessons with Zuhair enjoined every single lesson from the beginning to the end. He gave me always clear instruction and was very patient. I highly recommend you to choose the LDA company and choose Zuhair.

Negative experience: Instructor Haider never turned up for the lesson! Avoid at all costs Just reacting to your post Complete LIE - he called me at 11.57am - I could not answer phone - he text me to say I’m waiting in your driveway (lesson was scheduled for 2:30pm). After I got a chance to call him - he did not answer. Later he called me- told him and showed him the booking (email and text forwarded - he realised - then went onto say “I don’t do any lesson outside Oxford, full post code and address was given a day earlier and I was ready to pay for 10 lessons as well. Horrible horrible service and on top of it you have the nerve to post BLATANT lies on a google review reply. Disgusting - at least own up and say sorry.

Fantastic experience: The lessons I took with Haider Sadiq were very informative. Haider is both patient and encouraging. He helps with the lessons in a reassuring way. He comes to the lessons on time and keeps his car clean. He contributed greatly to me passing the exam on the first try. Thank you for everything.

Fantastic experience: Zuhair was an amazing driving instructor- he took me through all the routes and manurers and practiced them many times until I was totally confident. He helped me stay calm and encouraged me through my test, and made sure I felt confident on the road and ready to be an independent driver.

Fantastic experience: I had Haider Sadiq as my driving instructor and it was a brilliant experience. Always on time to each lesson, very patient and gave just the right amount of guidance to allow me to feel safe and comfortable as-well as learn independent driving. Always explained each instruction clearly and helped me a lot with all the manoeuvres. Highly recommend instructor.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure to pass my driving test with the very patient instructor called Sara. Previously I failed my driving test (manual) and this is when I was recommended to undertake instead of manual an automatic for a change…As a stressed person I managed to surpass my anxiety and was fortunate to have a very good driving instructor and experience and to gain my driving license. If you have failed previously or just starting your driving lessons and you are quite an anxious person I was recommended this company as your best option!

Fantastic experience: I started my driving lessons with Parveen, who helped me progress from to driving confidently. Unfortunately, I had to pause my lessons due to a lack of tests. That’s when Khalid Aziz came in at the last minute. Both of them have been amazing instructors, and I can't recommend them enough to others

Fantastic experience: I'm Sultana,I`m very happy to say that I have passed my driving test yesterday morning ! I initially started my driving lessons with Aziza Rashid , who is an amazing instructor and taught me how to drive properly! Although I was very pleased and comfortable with her teaching style, I was struggling with anxiety while driving but she was always with me.She always encouraged me along with teaching. I am very grateful to her.

Fantastic experience: I had done some lessons with my instructor in London but needed to keep the driving going while I was at Uni. My instructor was Maher Labbad and he was really helpful, very calm and really installed good observational skills in me. I’m happy to say I passed my test today with just one minor!

Fantastic experience: I took lessons with the instructor MAHER LABBAD. Today I am fully satisfied with his patient and profuse guidance. Thanks to all this I passed my test as a safe driver. He might seem protective at first, but once you get to know him, you start to see his great support and encouragement.

Negative experience: After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to book driving lessons for my daughter. Unfortunately, the experience with the instructor called Abed was far from satisfactory. Rather than requesting payment at least a day before the first lesson, as expected, he demanded payment as soon as my daughter got into the car. When she texted me about it, I was busy and couldn’t pay immediately. Instead of focusing on teaching, he repeatedly asked my daughter during the lesson if the payment had been made, which was very distracting. My daughter found the two-hour lesson too long and asked if shorter lessons were an option. The instructor initially said he only offered two-hour sessions. I reached out to LDA to see if other instructors provided shorter lessons and was told someone would get back to me, but no one did. My daughter decided to give another two-hour lesson a try, but the instructor arrived 20 minutes late and didn’t provide the full two hours of instruction we had paid for. She also mentioned that he unnecessarily used the pedals several times, which confused her. After these issues, we decided to switch to a different instructor and company. When my daughter informed Abed of the decision, citing the lengthy lesson times as a reason, he suddenly offered one-hour and 1.5-hour sessions, despite previously insisting he only did two-hour lessons. We requested a refund for the remaining prepaid lessons, but saved refused to provide a full refund, claiming it was because my daughter didn’t complete the full 10-hour block. It seems we were very unlucky with the LDA instructor. We have since booked lessons with a different company.

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving exam today!! I had Aziza as my instructor, and all I have to say is that she is amazing! She’s highly knowledgeable and patient, and had a very good balance of being kind, understanding and straightforward, which made her a fantastic teacher. She never stopped believing in me, even when I started to doubt myself at times and get nervous. Her way of teaching is so thorough and clear - she was with me through the whole process. I 100% recommend her as an instructor. Thank you Aziza

Fantastic experience: I failed my first attempt in Oxford . Then I approached this driving school based on google reviews . Never regretted . My driving instructor is Aziza Elrashid. I took few lessons from her and then practised with family. Aziza is so amazing . On the first lesson , she spotted all my faults and helped me to improve . I was amazed at the way she teaches . It’s crystal clear explanation. If you are new driver , wants to learn all the basics correctly , it’s LDA driving school. I have recommended this driving school to many of friends , they are now learning from this school. Today I passed my test in Bristol Kingswood. Fantastic experience: I recently passed my driving exam, and I’m incredibly thankful to Haider and Sayed for their amazing instruction and support in helping me become a confident and safe driver. This was my second attempt at the exam. My first attempt was last year, after learning with another driving school. When I began lessons with LDA Driving School this year, I felt like a complete beginner—the 20+ hours I had spent on learning last year felt like a waste of time and money. The difference in quality with LDA Driving School was immediately clear. Haider and Sayed provided excellent guidance, ensuring I understood the principles of safe driving and could apply them confidently on the road. Their approach made all the difference. I wish I had chosen LDA Driving School from the start—I might have passed on my first attempt! I highly recommend Haider and Sayed to anyone looking for dedicated, effective instructors. Fantastic experience: My lessons with Zuhair were excellent. Despite having a short timeframe to get test-ready, with his instruction I was able to pick up driving quickly and pass my test! Zuhair has a good sense of humour but is still very patient creating the perfect environment for nervous first time drivers to learn in. Fantastic experience: LDA is a franchise, so it will definitely depend on who you get. Maher Labbad is a great instructor if you can get him. I found him to be very perceptive, able to spot my weak areas, and he gave me clear instructions on how to improve. He was also very patient. In my driving journey, I had 3 different driving instructors and he was easily the best one. Occasionally, we would have slight misunderstandings/miscommunication, but overall a very good instructor. He helped me pass first time. In summary he is patient, perceptive, gives good feedback, and is punctual. He also lets you make mistakes. One of my previous instructors would take over the wheel as soon as I started making a mistake (even when it wasn't dangerous) which was really frustrating. Labbad did not to this. I think you will be happy about your choice if you choose him as your instructor.

Fantastic experience: My daughter Isobel was taught by Zuhair Ahmed. She had very little driving experience (a couple times around an empty car park) and from day one Zuhair instilled confidence and competency in Isobel. She had approximately 12 2hr sessions and passed her test on her first attempt with a mere 2 minors. Her examiner said it was a lovely drive! Zuhair was patient, knowledgeable, affable, and highly skilled in teaching concepts and manoeuvres. He also prioritised safe confidence. My husband and I felt far more comfortable in the car with Isobel than with her older sister. As the organiser of the family calendar I appreciated the easy and responsive communication from Zuhair. I recommend him without any hesitation. A learner would be lucky to work with him! Huge thank you Zuhair!

Fantastic experience: I’m really happy to say that I passed my manual driving test first time thanks to Mr Khalid Aziz, with only 1 minor fault. He predicted the test route beforehand and we had been practicing it for a couple of days beforehand and I was lucky enough to get the same one. I’d really recommend Khalid as he is very patient and clear with his instructions and without him I would have a much lower chance of passing. If you want to pass first time, he’s the man!

He was incredibly patient with me throughout my lessons, always gauging the right time to push me toward more challenging situations. When he saw I was ready, he didn’t hold back, but if I ever needed extra support, he brought me back until I felt confident. He knows the test routes like the back of his hand, and by the time I took my actual test, I had already driven my exact route nearly five times. Shaz has a great sense of humour and he knows how to keep you relaxed and build your confidence by making you laugh and feel at ease. Fantastic experience: Having originally passed my driving test in Pakistan my driving instructor Shahzad really helped me prepare for the UK roads the laws and how to drive safely. I almost had to unlearn everything and start from the beginning, he really helped me stay focused and the importance of always looking, he’s teaching methods varied until I had a good understanding on how I was doing certain things and made me think so I fully understand how to drive. He was always ready to accommodate lessons to fit both our busy schedules and would always let me know if he was running a little late. I would highly recommend LDA and especially Shaz as your driving instructor because we got on well and it really helped me pass my driving test.

I had to pass the British driving test after driving in my home country and he helped me quickly prepare with all the skills specific to UK roads and the driving exam. Fantastic experience: I started my driving lessons with Huma Idris from LDA back in May 2024. Although I have a EU driving license I needed some refresher's lessons. So I didn't have much confidence on the road. Huma helped me a lot and filled all the gaps I had in my knowledge. Huma build my confidence and gave me a push and motivated me to think out of my comfort zone that I can do it. She was very clear with her explanation and feedback, very patient, huma is a instructor that I really enjoyed driving next to and enjoyed her company. And must not forget about the car I had my lesson in blue BMW the best car I could possibly have. Had great fun worked like a team me huma and the car. I always looked farward on having my next lessons Huma has helped me to Improve and gain so much more confidence as driver. I don't believe I could have done it without her. I enjoyed learning with him so much that I decided to move to an automatic from manual car in order to finish lessons with him. Fantastic experience: I had a really good experience with Local driving Academy Oxford and I whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone looking to learn how to drive(beyond just passing your driving test). Ibrar was an absolute gem of a teacher. I had around 31 hours of driving lessons with him and I passed on the first attempt with only 3 minor faults. Ibrar was very patient and never ever yelled once! Not even when I made stupid mistakes. There were lessons where I felt disappointed in myself but Ibrar always encouraged and motivated me. Ofcourse I ensured that he was present during my test and I’m glad that I made him proud on the first try. I met the criteria for the free one-hour motor way lesson with LDA (you’d have to book 2 hours and pay for one hour) having had more than 30 hours of lessons booked. Sayed was a fantastic teacher as well. I learnt alot of high yield tips in the lesson and my confidence level for motor way driving doubled after the lesson. Choose LDA today! They are simply awesome

Fantastic experience: Having had years of driving experience in a different country and coming from completely different driving discipline and traffic rules background, it was quite difficult for me to get used to the driving and traffic rules in the UK. I had to unlearn a lot of things. During this time I had hours of driving lessons with Sam. Sam is a very disciplined driving instructor, his instructions helped me adapt the British driving. In the end I passed the test and got my licence. I'd like to thank Sam once again, for helping me pass my test which I almost believed was impossible to do.

Fantastic experience: Ali Rahimi is a thorough instructor, if you want to pass I would recommend him to anyone. I’m a slow learner and he’s been very patient with me, let’s you make your own decisions and be your own type of driver, my driving test was close and I needed to do an intensive 2 days before my test and he was more than happy and available to help me with the lessons at such short notice, I passed with 5 minors.

Fantastic experience: I trained with Zuhair Ahmed, and passed my driving test this morning! I am very grateful at how patient he was with me, starting off as a very anxious driver, he helped my build my confidence and prepared me really well for the test. As well as this, he was very helpful on the day of the test despite the unusual timing of it, and kept me calm so that I could perform my best driving. Thanks again!

Fantastic experience: I’m absolutely buzzing after passing my test. But I couldn’t have done it without Sam and LDA. He is a phenomenal teacher, very kind and patient and always on time. He doesn’t criticise but gently reminds you that everybody makes mistakes, even when you feel like you shouldn’t be making any during the buildup to the test. His clear and logical explanations made it easy for me to understand and address these issues. (2) Personalized Learning Plan: Khalid crafted a personalized learning plan tailored to my specific needs, particularly focusing on areas where I needed the most improvement, such as parking. Thanks to his targeted approach, parking became one of my strongest and most confident skills during my actual driving test. (3) Support and Encouragement: Despite nerves causing me to be unsuccessful in my first driving test attempt, Khalid was incredibly supportive. He encouraged me and devised a plan to address my specific driving faults, which boosted my confidence and helped me overcome the issues I initially faced. (4) Professionalism and Personal Attributes: Khalid always sent me his live location for our pickups, ensuring I always knew when and where to meet him. This level of organization and reliability was immensely reassuring. In general, Khalid is outgoing, kind, patient, and passionate about driving. His enthusiasm is contagious, making the learning process enjoyable. He even sacrificed his own rest time to help me prepare thoroughly for the driving test. In summary, Khalid Aziz is undoubtedly one of the best and most experienced driving instructors in Oxford. I cannot recommend him highly enough. His dedication and expertise have made my driving learning journey both successful and enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: I had two weeks until my driving test, and I haven't done any driving in 2 years. With the help and support of Khadija, I passed my driving test with ease! I highly recommend.

Negative experience: Had a few lessons with LDA, my first instructor was fine but kept cancelling on me so I rang the company to change instructors. They put me with a lady called Khadija, she never contacted me or showed up for my lesson and I had to contact the company to ask what was going on. I would avoid LDA at all costs if you don’t want your time wasted and actually want to learn to drive.

Fantastic experience: Today I passed my practical driving test (Cowley) with the help of Sam (Bahaddin), my LDA Oxford instructor. In summary I would recommend Sam to any learner without hesitation! Sam is organised, punctual, and a great communicator when putting lessons in the diary, and always tried hard to accommodate my preferred times. In the car Sam was faultlessly clear, calm and methodical, and helped me overcome my specific concerns and nerves with method and empathy....while delivering occasional flashes of wicked humour, together with encouragement so as not to dwell on a learner's inevitable mistakes. Money well spent! (At one point, well before my test, Sam was frank enough to suggest I didn't need any more lessons - just more practice in my own time. And I really appreciated that honesty). 5 stars, of course!
