Get Cornering

Fantastic experience: Well what can I say. Paul, Matt and Tracey are all amazing, providing me with informative clear information helping me all the way through from start to finish. Within just over a month I’ve gained my full bike licence. Starting with a CBT, mod1 and mod2. Both Matt and Paul’s knowledge is exceptional and they pass this is on very clearly and at a pace that suits, professionalism at its finest. I’ve gained a lot of confidence, skills and understanding of riding. I can’t recommend these guys enough. Thank you so much and I will be popping in once I have my 2 wheels on the road. Fantastic experience: Went here for a bike introduction day and followed by doing my CBT. This was an excellent, thorough and valuable experience from beginning to end. Paul was my instructor - a very knowledgeable, patient tutor, direct and firm when needed, but also warm and encouraging. I arrived having only ever been pillion on a bike, and although an experienced driver, a complete novice rider. Paul started me with the basics, but I was encouraged to get a feel of the bike immediately. There was plenty of riding as well as plenty of theory, and by the end of the introduction I could operate the bike fairly well. This was invaluable for my CBT - as the next morning we were hitting the ground running(riding)! Paul explained everything very clearly, allowed for errors and gave excellent advice to enable me to progress towards the required standard. Everything bike was covered, from protective gear, to the highway code, lifesavers, to hints and tips as a new rider. At the end of the day, myself and one other trainee went out for a good solid ride on the road, with Paul not far behind in radio contact, giving us directions, commands and constructive criticism. We used a variety of roads, faced a variety of scenarios and really got amongst real riding situations. I felt safe at all times, instructions were clear, and at no point did it feel like we were given anything other than the best of Paul's knowledge. I am proud to say I met the required standard for my CBT, and I couldn't recommend Get Cornering enough. The bikes we used were very new, in excellent order and were easy to ride. All gear was supplied and in excellent condition. The facilities were great, including tea and coffee supplied. If you're thinking about using Get Cornering, then do so - you will not regret it!

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience from start to finish, recently obtaining my full Category A license after completing my CBT in July. Alan, my instructor throughout the process, was exceptional. His support, patience, and instruction were invaluable. He equipped me with all the necessary tools and training to succeed. The entire team is incredibly friendly, personable, and passionate about their work. They generously shared their knowledge with enthusiasm. The bikes used for training were top-notch. I had the pleasure of learning on a brand new Kawasaki Z650, which was a great experience. Thank you again for an excellent service. I'm very satisfied!

Fantastic experience: I have today received my CBT license from Paul at 'Get Cornering' Clevedon. I am one of the last of my friends and close family to take my CBT and I have heard many stories of crowded lessons, poor tutoring and disinterested instructors..I therefore felt compelled to leave this 5 star review as I was so pleased with the level of training that I received. If you are reading this review chances are you have done or are doing your research and you will be aware 'Get Cornering' is not the cheapest training available for your CBT but I'm confident after spending a day in their care that they are more professional, thorough and efficient than any of the training my friends and family have received. The saying "you get what you pay for" springs to mind! Whilst we are all eager to get on a bike quickly Paul ensured that the theory side of the training was interesting and easy to visualise with print outs and the information regarding our kit was genuinely informative rather than just reading from a sheet. Once on the bike we were given clear instructions and allowed ample time to practice, repeat and re-repeat all aspects of our training. Only once we felt ready did we progress to the next steps. By the early afternoon we were taking to the road and with the help of a one-way radio we were able to stay in constant correspondence. Remembering that your CBT is not a test the information being relayed is therefore aimed to improve your riding and the intermittent feedback is extremely reassuring and informative. All in all, I was very pleased with my training and will be back in the coming months to complete my full licence.

Fantastic experience: Doing this refresher course with Get Cornering was absolutely the best thing I ever did (after buying a bike, oh, and meeting my wife of course…). Alan was brilliant and had me riding 100 times better in just a few hours. After 28 years off riding (passed my test at 18 then had a very long break), my skills really needed refreshing. Re-taught me how to do low speed manoeuvres, which I was really struggling with, then emergency stops and swerving safely to avoid hazards. Also went out on the roads, positioning for safety, junctions and the like. Really invaluable and I feel much safer. I was slightly worried I’d struggle to ‘get biking’ again, but this really did make it easy. Thank you so much for putting on a great course and to Alan for being a brilliant instructor.
