Fresh Start Motorcycle

Fantastic experience: Thank you to both John and especially Tim who has been extremely encouraging and enthusiastic in coaching me for the MOD2 test today at Fresh Start. I highly recommend them after having failed my initial test somewhere else but they took me on under their wings, regained my confidence and I’m very grateful for that. Thank you again!

Negative experience: Avoid them absolute scam company. Took the piss with the CBT wasting time dragging the day in tried to get us to book more days. Avoid. Was never contacted to book in extra day. Total wasters

Fantastic experience: John, Paul, and Tim at Fresh start are the best in the business. Over a period of 3 weeks I did CBT, DAS Mod 1, and Mod 2 tests with them. They took me back to basics and built my skills back up from there. Not a chance in hell I would have made first time passes without them. They are all clearly passionate about riding and building better, safer riders. Couldn't recommend more.

Fantastic experience: Awesome guys, they have so much patience, Tim was my instructor today, and he was brilliant, even while my own bike was giving me issues tim kept his cool while i was stressing but he got me through the day (thanks tim ) I will always go back to fresh start. Fantastic experience: Had my CBT test here a few months ago. I just did my theory test and a lot of the questions were actually covered by the instructor at the CBT. The professionalism, teaching style and knowledge of the instructor was excellent, and he catered the session for me as I was a complete novice. He took the time to get to know me, and then changed his pedagogical approach to suit my learning style. Outstanding. Thanks to the team! - and the instructor had an amazing BMW motorcycle, thought I'd mention as he was a really passionate biker genuinely wanting to make roads safer for all.

Fantastic experience: Great day yesterday doing cbt. Not been on a cycle for over 30+ years never-mind a motorcycle. Completed on geared bike with great instructions and support from Phil. Made the day as relaxed as could be with constant checks on how I was feeling. Many thanks, can't thank enough. Very good confidence builder.

Fantastic experience: The whole experience was an absolute treat, (maybe not the weather, but that's my own fault for doing lessons in December) I had my course with John and the way he teaches is brilliant and the days are very relaxed and flexible. Luckily John managed to fit me in within a couple of days of getting in touch and the whole process of lessons and both tests (had cbt and theory already done) was only a week. The bike I rode was an sv650 and was a good, comfortable bike to spend the days on and all machinery was in very good condition, especially considering the abuse they get from the mod 1 practise. Overall it was a really good, you might feel the price is a bit higher than some other places but you honestly get what you pay for, which is the one to one training rather than being forgot about in a group session, and the great attention to where you need to improve.

Fantastic experience: Very knowable tutor. Will be looking to do my DAS with these when I can. Personaly recommend fresh start for anyone wanting to walk away with a solid cbt exsperiance or to progress with your DAS. Thanks fresh start.

Fantastic experience: John Yates.... what more could you ask for. He's a super knowledgeable instructor with fantastic people skills who makes it really easy to learn. I moved from another school due to poor communication and just wish I had managed to get in with John from the start. He's worth the wait and cant recommend him enough. Unlike most he wants you to pass and not just in it for the money

John, Phil and Paul are excellent instructors would definitely highly recommend this place I have just completed my mod 1 and mod 2 and will definitely be back in the very near future to complete some advanced riding. Fantastic experience: Just completed my CBT with Barry, had no bike experience whatsoever prior to this so expected the worst. Training was spot on and not rushed plus i never felt pressured. Ended the day with a pass. Will definitely be taking my training further with these guys, knowing I'll be in the best hands!

Fantastic experience: Had a taster session with fresh start on their 400cc Suzuki Bergman in view of doing my tests next year, my instructor was fantastic and really helpful in explaining techniques of circuit training and the balance of controls on a bigger scooter! For anyone looking to do tests on a big scoot I highly recommend John and his team for lessons, will definitely be going there next year for mine
