Fantastic experience: It's clear from the off that there is a wealth of experience at Corser's Academy. Over the 5 day direct access course, I had 2 trainers, Chris and Neil. Although not the norm, it wasn't an issue as the level of training they carried out was consistent between the two of them. Iain is a gent too. He's always checking in on progress, encouraging you before tests and already has the results by the time you return. There's also something very satisfying and comforting about being provided top spec riding gear and brand new bikes to learn on. The only thing in your way is you. Great chaps, great school. 'd recommend them to anyone. Thanks Rich for the CBT, Chris and Neil for the great training and Iain for the school. I'll pop in when I'm passing on my bike.

Fantastic experience: I get to give a different viewpoint for a review of Ian and Corser Motorcycle Academy. I wasn't a customer, but a soaking wet motorcycle tourist with a flat tire. I got directions from one of his instructors and made it to the shop. Ian was very cordial, let me inside and made me tea as he made some phone calls to his friends. A little over an hour later, a fellow rider came with a van and ferried me and my ride to a tire shop 20 minutes away. Getting to see his character, I happily recommend meeting Ian and doing business with him.

Fantastic experience: Recently completed the 4 day DAS course and passed Mod1 and Mod2 first time. This is no doubt down to the quality of the training received. The bikes and kit you use are also second to none. I will recommend to anybody wanting to get their bike license.

Fantastic experience: They are real professionals, I made many mistakes but my instructor was very professional, he never rushed me, he never shouted at me, he watched me all day very carefully, despite all my mistakes he always tried to encourage me, instructors like him are very rare.

Fantastic experience: What can I say!? What an amazing experience I’ve had with Mr Corser and my instructor Neil. They took me from a novice with a CBT and zero road time, into a full mod 1 and mod 2 pass in 7 days. Neil not only is a vastly experienced instructor with so much knowledge to give, he is an absolute gent and so easy to get along with. I cannot speak highly enough about this training establishment. From the machines used (all brand new BMW) to the kit provided, again all BMW quality. If you are in the game to get on two wheels then this is the place for you.

Fantastic experience: I did a 4 day course with Corser academy. They had a great selection of bike clothing to borrow. The bikes are especially nice to ride. Neil my instructor was brilliant, really good methods of training and a lovely guy to talk to. The other lads there are very friendly as well. Couldn't give them enough praise and nothing to complain about.

The professionalism is outstanding and they pride themselves on their service. I had been to 2 other training schools that made me think I would never pass. Passed first time with Corser. Fantastic experience: I completed my CBT with Dave at Corser Academy today and was ultimately impressed with both the level of instruction I received, and the quality of the motorcycle school as a whole. Dave is an excellent teacher who understands how to make learning engaging and appropriate for his Audi. He was able to get me feeling comfortable and confident on a 125cc bike much quicker than I ever could have hoped! The quality of the bikes, protective gear and facilities were all very impressive which all feels very reassuring when getting on a bike for the first time. I'll be looking to get my full license in the next year or so and will 100% be going back to Corser for that!

Fantastic experience: If you want to learn how to ride a bike don't think of going anywhere else. As a very nervous student Chris was very patient, gave me huge encouragement and actually made me enjoy riding the bike. The structure of how Corser Training break each element down makes the process simple and easy to understand, I never felt like I was uncomfortable with what I was doing. I have gained so much confidence on the bike and delighted to have now got rid of the L plates. Thank you so much!!

Fantastic experience: Did a 5 day DAS course. 4 days training and MOD1 and MOD2 tests on the 5th day and passed first time thanks to the great friendly instructors. These guys really look after you and definitely know their stuff. The fleet of bikes they train you on are all new BMWs and are very well maintained. I could not be happier with the service they provided. They may not be the cheapest around but you get what you pay for. Money well spent.

Fantastic experience: What an experience! I passed my class A license with the help of an incredible instructor called Chris. Coming from driving an articulated lorry day to day I was unsure how I would take to a different style of driving. Chris was always patient and willing to offer his extensive knowledge and experience whenever I needed it, ultimately helping me adapt from the 'wagonisms' that had made an indelible mark on my driving style to a capable and confident rider. The level of service from initial enquiry through to the CBT and then class A license from Iain the training school director was second to none. The BMW bikes and equipment provided were all basically brand new with each of the instructors taking pride in the equipment they use as tools of their trade every day which inspires confidence in both the instructor and the equipment you are using. Fantastic experience: Fantastic training centre which I couldn't recommend more. My instructor Chris was brilliant, very patient and tailored all of the training to me so that I could get the most out of my limited time I had. The weather during my seven day rookie to rider training course was at times snowing and less than preferable. Having never ridden a bike before, I went from zero to passing the full A licence test with only five days on bike experience. Everyone was very friendly and keen to help, if you're thinking of learning to ride this is the place to do it!

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Corser enough. I took my CBT with them in September and a DAS course (2-to-1) with them in November. They got me through first time thanks to their expert tuition. Do not look elsewhere, they have extremely high quality tuition matched with very high quality and well maintained machines. Fantastic experience: I honestly couldn't recommend Corser Motorcycle Academy highly enough. I was on a week long motorcycle course here on the BMW rookie to rider programme. My instructor, Chris was so patient and kind teaching me throughout the week and encouraged me to go for my full A licence. Every day I walked in and was welcomed not only just by Chris, but the whole team. They all take the time to come and talk to you and know you on a first name basis. It immediately makes you feel so at ease and made me happy to be there and excited to learn. I made silly mistakes and ended up failing my mod 1 exam twice, but the whole team kept encouraging me and went above and beyond to get me through my exams. Once I passed, I was welcomed back at the centre with big cheers and hugs from everyone. Thank you all so much! I honestly don't think I could've had a better instructor or experience than with this team. I'll recommend you all to anyone I know wanting to start riding.

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT initially back in June through Iain Corser and Mac (my CBT instructor) was fantastic and gave me a good foundation to build on for my direct access course. I subsequently returned a few months later and thanks to Chris, I achieved my goal of getting my A Licence. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. You will be taught and instructed by great people on great equipment and you will get through it. Start to finish, it was First class.

Fantastic experience: This place is honestly a cut above the rest, right from CBT right through to the Direct Access. Facilities are excellent, knowledge from the trainers is priceless and you won’t train on better bikes!! Also another plus is that you are not far from the test centre so you get a good understanding of the roads and roundabouts around Darlington. Keep up the good works guys!

Fantastic experience: This is the place to go for all your motorbike training needs, forget everywhere else. From the outset Iain and the staff from Corser were helpful and made me feel welcome. I booked and passed my CBT with them, the one to one tuition on the CBT means you can learn at your on pace. I then booked a 5 day intensive course with them, best thing I've done by far. The motorbikes were all brand new and top of the range, they will also provide all your riding gear if you have none. Neil the instructor was absolutely brilliant throughout, he's such a laugh and his teaching method is amazing and professional, I passed MOD 1 & 2 straight after each other first time. I 100% can not recommended these guys enough.

Fantastic experience: I recently completed my DAS (direct access) through Corser’s riding school (BMW Rider Training), the team was fantastic, patience, professional, friendly, calm and ultimately made the 7 day course a lot of fun. Their motto is “train hard, test easy” and it really does work. I went from never sitting on a motorcycle to passing my full A license in 7 days. Iain, Neil, Chris, Nick and the rest of the team made the whole experience incredible and I highly recommend them! On a side note, the facilities, equipment etc. were all top notch too!

Fantastic experience: This is the place to go for all your training the bikes are like new and are,, and facilities used to train at not far from test centre so no wasting time riding from base to test centre. training is positive regardless of experience i worked with 4 of the guys in the week i was there each one were brilliant understood my frustrations with not getting things right all the time or 1st time.. no pressure put on you more reassuring and made to feel at ease. I highly recommend And thanks to all the guys top job

My husband and I did our training together with them and everything was pitched at exactly the level to achieve a pass in all of our tests first time. Fantastic experience: I have had a bad experience doing a CBT before and thought about giving up driving a motorbike. However I gave another chance to BMW Rider Training Academy to do it again. They literally showed me another world in driving a motorbike. Amazing staff, amazing venue, amazing motorbikes. They teach you everything you need to know about the motorbike and let you use the knowledge you already have. I will definitely go back to do my full motorbike license next year when I turn 24. Thank you very much all and specially Neil my instructor in the day for giving me the confidence I needed to drive a motorbike in UK roads!!

Fantastic experience: Great place, would highly recommend Neil, he'll offer you plenty cups of tea to get you throughout the day. Me and my brother passed our CBT test. I currently own a Pcx 125 and my brothers got a CB125R both very practical commuters! And I'm even thinking about coming back in early January if you guys are open to do my manual test! Very happy customer.

Fantastic experience: Completed my two day CBT course today with the brilliant Neil as my course instructor. Enjoyed the whole experience especially the out and about riding which was superb. Fantastic experience: I wanted to complete DAS and visited all the motorcycle training facilities within my area. I settled on Corser motorcycle academy after visiting and speaking to Iain who spoke through all the options and showed me around the facilities/bikes and the professional atmosphere surrounding the school. Some of the reasons to choose this place over any others within the Darlington/North Yorkshire area: Facilities: - Excellent training bikes (BMW GR310’s/F850GS’s etc) all pretty much brand new, well maintained and brilliant for training purposes. Not like some of the tatty old Suzuki SV’s/Kawasaki ER’s you see in other facilities. - Their own training pad to practice MOD 1/CBT etc. - 5 min ride to the test centre - All clothing/helmet provided (BMW so great kit) - a rolling road for training on geared bikes etc - toilets/brew making facilities/rest areas/changing rooms etc Instructors: - Professional. No cutting corners, years of experience, down to earth and a good mix of training personalities to cater for all types of learners. - I did my DAS during 2020 and Iain fought tooth & nail to secure training/tests for all his students in extraordinary (covid) circumstances. - Familiar with potential testing routes and testers - Always up for abit of banter and a relaxed training environment. - Iain will cater the training around your work/life balance All in all, a great experience. Not easy by any means. They’ll make you graft it but you will 100% come away a competent, safe, confident rider. To Iain and all the instructors, Thank you. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Brilliant riding school. Would definitely recommend anyone speak to these guys and take a look at the machines if you're thinking of learning. Its a fun, safe enviroment, which includes a MOD1 mock area and briefing areas. Having completed the CBT somewhere else, I chose Corser following a couple of recommendations, who all held high opinions of Iain. They didn't disappoint; the equipment is all maintained to an extremely high standard - initially starting with an assessment session on a Yamaha 125cc, which quickly progressed onto a BMW 300cc and subsequently on to the BMW 750 GS. All the bikes were less than a year old and what you should expect from a high quality, professional business. I did my lessons with a mate, which Iain managed to accommodate and work around us (not an easy task), ensuring we made really good progress. The majority of my lessons were with Iain and a few hours prep prior to the MOD1 and MOD2 with Nick; both guys have tons of experience and teach, coach and encourage you to build up some really good habits, which make the ultimate tests a doddle - you can be confident going into the tests that you've been through all eventualities. We both passed each test first time, and I also feel like I've got a head start on the real learning now I'm out on my own. It's also obvious that a lot of effort goes on behind the scenes to make sure that the school is in good communication with the test centre, to get the best for you, the riding school and the test centre. Which I think, shows the commitment and dedication you'll have behind you. Having completed it all during COVID, I was also really impressed with he precaution and approach taken. Couldn't be happier with the end to end result, confident I've experience some of the best tuition you can get on two wheels.

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT elsewhere, but came to Corser Motorcycle Academy for Mod 1 & 2 training after a recommendation and doing a bit of research. Before even mentioning the trainers, the setup of this place is several notches above everything else I've seen on offer in the region. Spotless garage with a brand spanking new fleet of BMWs to give riders confidence from day one - not like some of the scrapheaps other companies will have you train on. I trained as a pair with a mate and, although not the norm, Iain was happy to accommodate. Everything went according to plan; a sensible progression into the big bikes via a 300cc to make sure the power isn't overwhelming, great lessons on the Mod 1 replica course and some expert tutelage out on the road. We worked mainly with Iain, then with Nick in the run up to Mod 2, and you can really see the genuine experience. Honourable mention to Chris as well, who watched me boot a cone from one end of the course to the other in a practise run on Mod 1 morning, but was chill enough to convince me it was no big thing... and it wasn't. Passed Mod 1 first time, passed Mod 2 first time, both down to the fundamentals taught to me repeatedly over the weeks, even despite by personal inability to navigate my way out of a bag. 100% would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Great experience. Ian has a pleasant and friendly personality and is very knowledgeable and above all extremely patient. He took me through MOD 1 & 2 direct access training and ultimately I passed both tests first time with very few minor faults. The best part of all is that Ian provided one-to-one training at every stage. Having ridden a 500cc MP3 trike on a car license for two years before doing my 'big bike' test I had some road experience but it became clear that I needed to improve my riding to test standard. I'm 57 years old. It's never too late to get your bike license - go on, you know you want to!! Ian has now taken delivery of brand new BMW 800cc machines which will make the training even more enjoyable. I can't recommend his services enough.

Fantastic experience: Iain is a great teacher. His one-to-one lessons are supportive and he always finds time for a funny comment or two. Iain knows so much that you just cannot help but soak it all in. Being so close to the Test Centre in Darlington allowed me to gain practice for Mod 1 at the Test Centre and for Mod 2 on the roads in and around Darlington. His is a genuinely quality operation; his bikes are in great condition (let’s face it, some training bikes aren’t) and his fleet is now added to with brand new Yamaha 125s and bigger BMW bikes from Cooper. I felt superbly prepared for the test and for life on two wheels.

His patient & calm approach, together with an understanding of which aspects of my riding required attention, ensured that I gained my licence when I needed it.
