Negative experience: One of the gents who taught me was really polite and welcoming when I met them. The other gent was rude and cold towards me for no reason. Commination and all is poor on a different level I tried to resolve a issue with the gent all he did was read the messages and completely ignore with no response in trying to resolve the issue.

Fantastic experience: Just passed my mod 1 and mod 2 with Ash and am truly so grateful for his temperament, support, teaching techniques, sense of humour, professional approach and kind nature. Without his wealth of knowledge and ability to immediately put me at ease, reassure me and make me laugh, whilst teaching me everything I needed to pass and be safe on the road, I would not have passed and certainly would not have the confidence I do now to get out on the road. Really amazing team and would recommend to anyone wanting to learn to ride a motorbike!

Fantastic experience: This is an absolutely amazing motorbike training school. Martin and Ash are amazing instructors and have so much patience. I and my partner have both complete our CBT’s with them. My partner went on to do his direct access quite quickly and passed. I completed my CBT and 18 months later completed my direct access, which I never thought I’d do. I may not have gotten through it if it wasn’t for Martin and his encouragement. Fantastic experience: I completed my direct access with Castleton Rider training after not being on a bike for over 30 years. From CBT though to the final mod 2 test they were friendly, supportive, and extremely flexible around my busy schedule, even offering a last training ride on a Sunday the day before my test. Fantastic experience: Where to start, amazing gents really can’t thank them enough I had never ridden a bike in my life, did a taster lesson with Martin and then went in for my CBT and passed thanks to the amazing training and guidance from the guys, very informative. Fantastic experience: perfect institute to learn and get motorbike license. with them it does not feel like you are going through training but instead it feel like you have a bunch of friends teaching you. I live in south Manchester and it was 45 min drive each way but I am glade that I have chosen them to fulfil my dream of obtaining a motorbike license. I spent a best time riding with Martin and Ash and pass my Mod2 with clean sheet. I am so impressed with them that I have my brother and one of my college already going through training with them. ***BEST PLACE FOR LEARNING***

Fantastic experience: If you want any type of bike licence then I would highly recommend Castleton Rider Training. I just got my full DAS licence within 4 days. Instructors were amazing and catered the training to my style and needs. Very informative and patient. Loved every minute of training and was so much fun. Fantastic experience: From the first conversation with Martin over the phone, I knew I was on to a good thing! Having done my CBT with another provider 18 months earlier, I wanted to do my DAS. Other schools were either slow at getting back to me, or didn’t seem very friendly. Let’s be honest, you want a relaxed and friendly environment when you’re learning! Martin was sound, got me booked in and I began my DAS course. I then met Ash who was just as sound! Both had great knowledge, experience! The times were flexible to suit around my shift pattern. The bikes were good! And when I forgot my riding gear, their gear was a decent quality! All in all, it was a pleasure to do my DAS with them, thanks for getting me though my Mod1 & Mod2 and giving me the confidence to ride bigger bikes.

Fantastic experience: Look no further for motorcycle training. These gents are very professional when needed and also make the learning experience fun. I have enjoyed all my training and although I failed my first attempt at the mod 2 test, I was given the encouragement to focus my mind again and passed my retest with a clean sheet. My sincere thanks goes to Ash and Martin for their time and patience. Prices seem very reasonable too, compared to some other schools. Safe and happy riding everyone!

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to give Castleton Rider Training a ring after getting the runaround by a previous motorbike training school. The instructors at Castleton, Martin and Ash tailored my tuition to my personal needs so no time or money was wasted. I would highly recommend these two fellas to get you out riding safely on two wheels, they made it an all round enjoyable experience for me. Oh and to all you ladies out there they have lowered 650cc bike's for us little ones.

Fantastic experience: The problem with Rider training school reviews are people are so chuffed at passing their CBT or DAS Tests that they mistakenly convey their excitement at passing with the quality of training and the school. Its only having had a bad experience with a school and then seeing the real difference with an exceptional school like Castelton that you can really appreciate the difference of having a really good trainer. There is probably no real discernible difference with techniques or content, the key differentiator is how at ease and removal of any external pressures by the trainer . Zayn having failed his CBT previously (@Elite -see review) the guys at Castleton basically opened with he will pass no matter how many tries and with no retest fees. This together with other words of encouragement lifted a mental weight from his shoulders and allowed him to perform to his potential and learn quicker and without apprehension and passed his CBT on a geared bike first time. These guys have been round the block with Motorcycle training and understand the different Psyches of riders and are pseudo therapists as barely ever is the issue insurmountable with the right feedback affirmation and positive reinforcement they get the rider to perform to their potential making everything seem easy.
