During the MOT inspection, our tester identified a significant leak from the fork, which was shown and explained to your father. While he suggested it might have been water initially, the dust seal was removed and the area was thoroughly dried. Despite this, each subsequent inspection revealed a continued leak, indicative of a potential issue with the fork seal. We cannot comment on the integrity of the MOT conducted at the other test center where the bike passed. However, it’s important to note that if, after riding 100 miles, there was no visible leak, this could raise concern that the fork fluid might have completely leaked out, which could compromise the bike’s safety and performance.
