Fantastic experience: Their calm and concise direction gives you confidence to learn, especially for some one like myself as I have only ever rode a 125 twist and go before doing the direct access on a manual 650c. Many thanks to the team in a whole but a big thanks to Karen who schooled me through it from the start and put up with my stupid mistakes on the mod 1 tests. Passed my Mod 2 first time.

Negative experience: Very unprofessional and have let me down with poor explanation and apology. Poor customer service. Especially Cathy. I have booked a day off work (unpaid) so that I can attend my CBT, paid a deposit, went out to buy the correct equipment (footwear and gloves), went to the CBT centre to make sure I have bought the correct things and have made arrangements to be able to attend my CBT such as travelling as I live 100 miles away. After doing all of this, I then received a message from them 2 days before my CBT saying that the instructor is off on that day and that my CBT has been cancelled and that I now need to reschedule even though I have done all mentioned but most importantly, I booked a day off work unpaid to be able to attend (I’m a bus driver so my shift has now been given to someone else and I can’t work that day anymore, whole days pay lost). I was struggling to reschedule as I had work on all the days that they provided me but eventually they agreed on one of the days that I was off which is 2 weeks away! After asking why my CBT has been cancelled even though I have paid a deposit (through bank transfer!) and been told that, that specific date is available. The only thing I was told, which I felt like it was a bit sarcastic and rude was “unfortunately people get ill sorry”. This is VERY unfair and unprofessional. Hopefully things go better at my CBT in 2 weeks and that this was just a one off.

Fantastic experience: I did my cbt here. I had an excellent experience with Williams Motorcycle Training, especially thanks to my instructor, Graham. He was incredibly patient and reassuring, answering every question I had—no matter how small or "silly" it seemed. Graham knew exactly when to be strict to keep things safe, but he also made sure the experience was enjoyable and relaxed, taking away the nerves of learning to ride. Fantastic experience: So I've been thinking of doing my cbt and get my full motorbike licence for couple of years. I had it booked in for today and the whole process from booking it to finishing was straight forward. Bailey is an extraordinary instructor very calm and collected and very knowledgeable. Mike the gaffer who is ex army is also brilliant get to learn alot from Mike and can have a good conversation. Graham who took me out for my 2 hour ride on the road was brilliant very calm and collected. It was my 1st time on a bike and they make you feel at ease and teach you everything to get your certificate. I passed my cbt today with ease so I would just like to say a massive thankyou to Bailey Mike and Gareth who taught me everything I needed to know to get my certificate. Fantastic experience: Did my CBT and DAS with Williams this month. Couldn't fault them, would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Everybody who works there is pleasant, patient and happy to give as much help and advice as you ask for but more importantly, they evidently know their stuff and are experts in what they do. Before I booked I read the negative reviews and wasn't quite sure what to expect. I can confidently say that my experience of Williams had zero correlation to any of the negative reviews I've read. Karen did my training and she didn't just get me through my test but she taught me valuable lessons of staying safe on the road. I won't be thinking twice about going back to Williams for more training and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Williams to anybody thinking about choosing a school to go with.

Fantastic experience: I have done my direct access with Williams. Past both mod 1 and 2 first time following their instruction. I had Karen for two days out on the road and Mike on 2 mod 1 practice days. By the time I had finished the rides out with both I was given the skills and knowledge I needed to pass the mod 1 and 2. The training felt catered to my level of skill and at no point was I left feeling I was out of my comfort level. Overall Williams feels like a really professional outfit and I would recommend to anyone. Cathy is always available to talk to and is great at keeping the nerves down on test day. Looking forward to getting my bike on the road and riding down to see them all again

Fantastic experience: Did my CBT will William Motorcycle Training last year then returned to do my full licence this year. From the moment you get to the school your made to feel like the team has known you for years, you feel so relaxed and comfortable that you could spend all day there, In fact even after your lessons no one is in any rush to leave. The time you spend riding out on the roads is so pleasurable and easy going you don't want to go back to the centre. On the day of your tests there's no rush or fuss and you arrive at the test centre relaxed and ready to go. I will be returning to Williams in the new year to carry out some advanced rider training and I carnt wait. Final words from the team when you leave after passing your tests. Fantastic experience: I have to say I was astounded to read the latest review by a rather foul mouthed gent of Williams Training and I feel I have to comment and add my own personal review and experience of the training facility and staff... I am a very anxious and nervous person due to being in a life changing accident through no fault of my own that left me with various disabilities including traumatic brain injury... Wishing to complete the full CBT, Theory, Mod 1 and Mod 2 which I had put off for over many years due to fear, lack of confidence and finding a training facility with understanding of the problems I suffer from... After research and reviews given for Williams I would like to state the owners and trainers in this company are for one, understanding, encouraging, find ways to look outside the box when problems arise to help you and ensure training given is adapted according to your needs and still to a very high standard... My anxiety levels are through the roof and everyone here, Karen my trainer were able to help calm my mind and encourage me never to give up... There is no way anyone here discriminates against another, exactly the opposite I can assure you watching everyone work with other students including myself from many different walks of life... Today I was so pleased to pass my Mod 1, 1st time and this is due to the training given as well as encouragement and support from Karen, Mike, Cathy and Bailey.... I cant thank them enough for giving me the dream back I thought I had lost.... Please take it from me and my personal experience this is the place to do your training and do pay no attention to the said loud mouth review I felt I had to correct his remarks are so far from the truth it had to be said... Negative experience: What a horrible place to do a cbt. Especially when you tell the ex army instructor you ride a ebike. 44 year old and was shouted at like a child. The ex army instructor a complete p@#£k. Ended up walking out after half a day. The woman that did cbt with me got a lot more time spent with her. Wish I had tight jeans on,might have got a bit more respect. Just a horrible experience, went there to learn and now I can't even be bothered, makes it worse when you do a mistake and get shouted at and you have a lot of experienced riders watching laughing, real confidence boost not. I highly don't recommend these. Even spoke to Cathy on phone after I left explaining I'd walked out and in my frustration lost some expensive jewelry there. She did say she would ring me back. Been a few days now and nothing. This experience has left me fuming and will be doing my cbt with a proper company that has the proper space to train new riders

Fantastic experience: The guys here are absolutely amazing! After failing my Mod 2 twice with two other different schools, i threw the towel in, until somebody recommended Williams. I'm so glad they did! I passed my Mod 2 yesterday with only 2 minors. I cannot thank these guys enough! I had two half day training sessions with Karen prior to my test and i can honestly say, Karen taught me things that were never even mentioned at the last two schools i "trained" with! Karen's tips made my test a breeze! Thank you so much Karen! And as for patience, God only knows how she put up with me for two days but oh i'm so grateful she did!! Fantastic experience: Hi I went on the four day intensive course at a great price there was even included was a 2 day one hour each day at the test centre to run though the mod 1 on site which was really helpful and helped no end when going for the actual test …. All the booking for all the test were booked by Cathy who couldn’t help enough to get me accommodated for the best times for me … also every instructor had time to help you in any way needed my instructor was Jon who taught me and a fella called Christian and had lots of time for both of us to offer good advice when we both needed it …. You can tell it’s a family run business as we all felt like family and it was a pleasure to be taught by you all …. Thank you …Steve

Fantastic experience: A massive thanks to Karen and John who are unbelievable. Honestly, DO NOT THINK TWICE ABOUT BOOKING YOUR COURSE at Williams Motorcycle Training in Bolton. The whole team inc Mike and Kathy are great. They care so much about your safety and have the patience to guide you through the tests. I had never ridden a bike before my CBT and after a 5 day intensive course with Karen, have passed both the mod1 and mod2 tests. They are AFFORDABLE and their service is TOP! Other schools are a rip off. They're supportive, motivational and have so much knowledge. I felt very comfortable and as did all the learners who were with me. Great riding school. I can't recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: Mike,Kathy and the team are amazing! No nonsense bike training. I went for an assessment got my training,mod1 and mod2 booked in. When we was on training Mike even bought me breakfast from the cafe on the 1st day (I got the 2nd days) The price was amazing. Very friendly atmosphere and no pressure learning. Negative experience: Absaloute shambles, mike and John were more interested in perving on female learners or talking about covid rather than teaching a lesson , not enough training for mod 1 ,They're not interested after taking your money.

Fantastic experience: Had the absolute pleasure of being instructed by Karen on a back to biking refresher day, after being off the road/bikes for ten years. From the first call to their offices, to the day itself, I felt in completely safe hands. The whole service was very friendly and totally professional and I left the day feeling confident and well informed. I would not hesitate to recommend them and will likely return to book an Advanced training course at some point in the future. Thanks so much Karen! Fantastic experience: I came to Mike Williams motorcycle training to do my cbt. Was trained by Karen very patient and did a very good job at teaching us all. Kathy made sure we had the right gear on and it fitted well. I went out on the cbt with john, on a 50cc scooter originally and he was very pleasant guy and even treated us to a coffee and food from the breakfast deli around the corner. Id highly recommend mike williams motorcycle training and i will be back to do my direct access.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this training school enough, i have been with these guys for over 10 years on a CBT and that's only due to back issues, and it's far from my local training school but i wouldn't go anywhere else, they are like a family which invite you in and over the years my most experience has been with Karen and mike, mike will not push you beyond your comfort zone but has a real aptitude for reading people and how to communicate with a person as does Karen( i trained with mike, and on my test day Karen was there and couldn't have done it without either of them), but you can be sure they will get you ready for your test, i actually miss going there, for the brief period of my training as it was so enjoyable, it is such an experience i would recommend it to anyone, after the nerves fade out which it does fast here (they are very skilled at what they do) it becomes a place you can't wait to get to each day and you get kinda sad when it ends because they really do give you a great experience, i did pass first time and had never ridden anything more than a 125 prior to my DAS training, you cant really ask much more from a training school, i have been down since and intend to more in the future without a doubt(also i would like to add the lovely lady on the phone Cathy) .

Fantastic experience: Did the CBT on 15-10-2020 at Williams, Bolton. It was hard work (because I am a complete novice on a motorcycle) but really excellent. Teacher/ instructor (Karen) was excellent. Very pleasant but very firm (and fair). I was knackered at the end of the day but in a good way and, to be fair to the team there, I was warned that I would be! Highly recommend. Fantastic experience: After leaving my CBT to lapse and not riding my bike for months, I decided to do it again through Williams Motorcycle Training. I started from scratch, all my original nerves had resurfaced and I wondered if I’d ever be able to ride again. Fortunately Karen reassured me and after a few shaky starts, I was back riding round the circuit. I’m not an easy pupil but Karen was so patient with me, goodness knows how ‍♀️. I can honestly say that I really would never have done it without Karen. The expertise, hints and tips, safety rules instilled in me, I finally felt confident enough to go out on the road, although there was no pressure to do so. We started out with the intention of going round the block a couple of times but again with the reassurance of Karen we were out for quite some time and I came back to learn that I had passed my CBT . With all the skills I have learned I’m determined to do my test after I’ve had some practice on my own. My bike is now out of the garage and on the road again. Thank you again Karen. In addition I’d like to also say that from start to finish, everyone I’ve met and talked to at Williams have been incredible. Cannot recommend them enough. If I could give ten stars I would. Fantastic experience: Recently passed my CBT with Williams - the training was excellent. Karen was calm, methodical and eloquent in explaining the technical skills and theory that made absolute sense on the road. A good sense of humour and constant support throughout made for a really enjoyable day. I look forward to going back for my A license in the near future. Update, I’ve passed my Direct Access with Williams! Following an excellent experience during my CBT there was no doubt I would be going back for my A license. The Direct Access instructor John was brilliant, a wealth of experience and knowledge imparted with calm professionalism and a hint of humour at all times. The tuition was much more than knowledge to pass the tests, the techniques and understanding will stay with me through my riding life. Thanks again Williams Motorcycle Training!

Fantastic experience: My partner Stan did his CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2 with Williams Motorcycle and I have to say everyone was absolutely fantastic, patient, supportive and so friendly it felt like he knew everyone for years. Stan says a huge thank you to the team and he'll be back for a coffee. We really can't recommend this place enough. Don't think about doing it just call in you'll be on the road in no time. Fantastic experience: Absolutley fantastic. I came in to that test centre a complete novice and Karen the instructor was so patient such a saint. I would recommend anyone thinking to learn to ride to do their CBT here believe me you will not go wrong, just look at the reviews 10 stars this place the team are great.

Fantastic experience: My son previously did his CBT with Williams, and they were great with him. When my daughter turned 16 and wanted to do hers, they were the obvious choice (especially as their rates are REALLY good) and I decided as a 40+ dad to have a father daughter experience. We initially booked in for a one day course and after getting kitted up we were out and riding in their practice arena. Karen, our instructor was very patient and explained everything as many times as we needed. After a break for lunch we carried on and a little while in Karen asked if I'd mind leaving the road part to another day as my daughter was getting frustrated and tired, I was happy to agree. On day 2 we spent a little bit of time in the arena to get comfortable again and then it was out on the open road with Karen's voice coaching us along in our ears. The day flew by and we spent 4 1/2 hours out and about and for the most part it was great, our only issue was with the other road users but Karen kept us safe and calm at the same time telling us what to do in future. Overall I cannot praise Karen, Bill and all the other staff we met on the 2 days enough. They are knowledgeable, friendly, passionate, professional and patient but most of all they are warm and welcoming.
