Fantastic experience: I recently did a DAS with 1066, going from a CBT all the way up to my full A licence, having been riding for less than a 12 months total. The team are fantastic, extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what they do whilst being patient and accommodating to those with less experience or that are a bit less confident/anxious. Passed both my MOD1 and MOD2 first time, with only one minor on the MOD1 (1km/h under on the emergency stop!) and a clean sheet on the MOD2. Many thanks to Gary who did the bulk of my training, Sharon who helped me refine skills and to keep my nerves at bay on test days, and Neil who hammered home some of the MOD1 exercises. I can't thank you all enough, and thanks to the rest of the team for their can-do and friendly attitudes which helped keep me confident and keen to engage with the training. It makes a real difference to learn from people that teach for the love of riding Vs just doing it as a job. My only regret is not getting my licence sooner.

The team at 1066 Motorcycles were so helpful, patient and informative, making mine and my pals riding experience one of pleasure in what as a brand new rider, could have been a nerve wracking experience. Gary and Neil could not have been any better with us, and we have come away brimming with confidence. Review 2. I am very pleased to report that after taken on a Das course (mini intensive) we have just passed our mod 1 and mod 2 tests this week. The progress from total novice to passing our bike tests with confidence, is amazing and it really has felt like a mini holiday. I'm so pleased for the training that Gary and the team at 1066 have given to me and my pal. We are officially bike riders, with thanks to them. Negative experience: Fantastic staff and training but the lack of communication is unbelievable, hopefully it's just my case, had part of CBT done, and kept calling and calling to book a test l, 3 weeks later after no phone calls text or emails returned, when they do finally answer thr phone they hung up twice after telling me to "hold a bit"? .. decided to go somewhere else

Fantastic experience: Neil and his whole team are fantastic. They are all friendly, informative and fun to learn with. The bikes I've used have all been brilliant, and it has been great to try out a few to give me an idea of what to buy once I've finished my DAS. The training paddock is quite challenging to start with due to a slight slope on it... Initially I thought this was a negative, but practicing on it meant that the test was much easier! And guess what... the real world isn't flat either! ;-)

Positive experience: Had a really good day doing my CBT, Johnny is a great instructor and made the whole thing seem really simple. I had not ridden a bike for nearly 30 years, and he was great at helping me to get my confidence back. He is definitely worth a 5 star rating. The reason I’ve only given 3 stars is because when I tried to book to do my full license, my calls were not returned, I understand that people can be busy, so didn’t mind being asked to send a text with my details, still no call back, I sent another text asking if it would be easier if I popped up at some point, this also went unanswered, so I am now doing my training somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Just passed my CBT, absolutely amazing instructors, have a few learning difficulties and had a private chat, they straight away asked me if there is any way they can help me better. They give very clear and easy to understand instructions, trust your instructor they know what they're doing, doesn't matter what you think or what you think you know listen to their advice, really helped me on my figure of eights, he pulled me to the side and had a chat we he could see I was struggling, we tried something different and got it first try, amazing support, very big thank you to the team.

Fantastic experience: Took my cbt and then booked my a1 motorbike test with Neil and Gary. I had not riden motorbikes before and they knew exactly how to get me ready to go out on the bigger bikes. After a couple of days I felt very comfortable on the bike. Would highly recommend using 1066 for the training. Thanks for all your help and getting me passed first time.

Fantastic experience: 4-day DAS course, October 2023. Excellent training school, would recommend them to anyone looking to learn to safely drive a motorbike. Great with communication, they were always on time and had a good plan for the day. Contact on the days before the course to check we were ready to begin and that we had everything sorted. By the time the tests came around I felt absolutely ready. Always answered the phone when I had questions. Felt like there was a genuine interest from all members of the team in getting us a pass. Practical lessons on every part of the MOD1 test were great, along with detailed feedback on everything necessary to drive safely and pass MOD2. Lots of good real-world advice from their many years of experience. Excellent at getting tests booked at schedules that work for you - availability permitting. Lessons were Mon, Tues, Wednesday, Saturday, 4hrs each day, with the MOD1 in Hastings the following Monday, and MOD2 in Eastbourne on Thursday/Friday depending on if you pass MOD1. Thanks to Nigel, Gary, Neil & the team.

Fantastic experience: Just got done doing a DAS course with the guys at 1066 today and passed first time thanks to the fantastic training provided. If you are considering doing any training with 1066 you will be in good hands. They provided high quality motorcycles that are perfect for learning on. They create a safe but fun learning environment for you to gain your confidence and will go the extra mile to help your individual needs or struggles. If you've seen cheaper training elsewhere do take into consideration that you get what you pay for and I have no regrets having worked with 1066, they taught me not just how to pass my test but how to stay safe for a lifetime of riding.
