Fantastic experience: As total novices we did a two day CBT with Bryans in May. Neil was really patient and an excellent teacher. So, when we decided to go for full licences an intensive course with Bryans was the obvious choice. Everyone is helpful, friendly and encouraging. They make you feel like you're not hardwork at all (I'm sure I was!) and Bryans is definitely the reason why I now enjoy riding so much.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking to complete CBT or DAS then only go to Bryans. All the instructors are friendly, professional and most of all patient. I used Bryans with minimal previous experience on a motorbike and passed MOD 1 & MOD 2 first time within 7 days, thanks to my instructor. John gave feedback continually throughout the week in both positive & constructive where I was making mistakes, giving clear instruction and demonstrations where need to help me get it right. I cannot recommend Bryans enough and I will be returning to complete BikeSense next year.

Fantastic experience: Really helpful staff, and treated me really well. I’ve been trying to pass within my area (London) but did not pass due to minor issues, and the teaching in London was poor. Found Bryan’s school on google and I did not regret my choice. Shout out to John for getting me ready and covering all aspects for Module 2 with his experience it was really easy to understand. Fantastic experience: I can’t thank Bryan’s enough. I booked on for a 7 day intensive course with 0 riding experience, day 1 was the CBT and Neil made me feel so comfortable and confident from the get go, made things easy to understand, and really went above and beyond a CBT training course, then I had John for the remainder of my course and again just like Neil did really went above and beyond, asking questions to why, showing clear reasons for why it’s done this way why it’s best to ride in positions and picking up on your weaknesses and quickly turning them into a strength. All the members of staff were always polite and always how I was doing giving tips and advice. I can’t recommend these enough and I certainly wouldn’t have been so relaxed come test days if it wasn’t for the way they handles the whole experience. Thank you very very much

Fantastic experience: Firstly I would like to thank all the staff at Bryan’s motorcycle training, passed my A license first time Having not had much exposure to motorcycles I decided to spread my training out over a few months as opposed to enrolling on a condensed course, I thought this approach would work better for me and it payed off. The training that Kev and the team of instructors at Bryan’s provide is top class, their experience and relaxed methods of instruction can't be faulted, the equipment and bikes are excellent (brand new fleet of Triumph bikes) all in all can’t recommend this place enough, I will definitely be coming back for some progressive training

If you struggle with anxiety or are just looking for a positive environment with patience and understanding these are the guys to train with. Everyone is friendly and open the bikes and equipment are top quality. Honestly you can’t go wrong.

Fantastic experience: Having just passed my Mod 1 and Mod 2 at Bryan’s in 6 days is down to the excellent training received. Having never been on a larger capacity bike it seemed quite daunting at first but its surprising how fast you pick it up. John was my instructor who taught me on their new triumph 660’s and his skills as an instructor are exceptional. I had gone from being almost oblivious to what was around me whilst riding to being able to recall all signage I had just passed. Johns skills he has taught me I think will stay with me forever and I cannot thank him enough for teaching me how to ride confidently and safely. I m sure I can still hear your voice in my head when I’m ridding. I’ll certainly never miss the turning for tatenhill again! Fantastic experience: returning to riding after many years i was guided through my cbt course by Jim, brilliant and patient instructor, i felt at ease the entire time without being rushed till he was happy i was ready to go on the road, stress free completion that could usually leave you anxious took a weight off getting back to grips with things, so glad i chose them.

Fantastic experience: Despite having a somewhat negative experience doing a CBT and larger bike taster session at another place, both myself and my son wanted to complete a direct access course to get our A and A2 license respectively, We visited Bryan's to have a look around and had an initial chat to the lovely Trish explaining our previous negative experience with an instructor elsewhere and made it clear we wanted someone who was both knowledgeable and knew how to teach constructively and patiently. We booked ourselves on the 6 day direct access. There are other places that offered similar direct access in less time (for not much less money) but Trish explained the approach is to start on 125cc and slowly move up. Trish was able to tailor the course dates as we were unable to attend on a Sunday and all was set. On the course itself, we were assigned to John who so happens to be the chief instructor. All we can say is that he's absolutely brilliant - a very knowledgeable biker and has a very positive, patient, calm and constructively teaching style. There was always feedback on how to improve, whether it was practising on the mod 1 area or when out on the road. After each session there was useful hints and tips. No question was too dumb, and the answer explained with logic and rationale as to why this or that was so. It was tiring at times (it's not called an intense course for nothing!) but the whole atmosphere of the place is just supportive and positive. Both my son and myself would not hesitate one iota to recommend Bryan's to anyone wanting to learn the art of riding, from CBT to advanced training. We both passed mod 1 and mod 2 first time too! It's worthwhile to give a shout out to the main man himself Kev and also Jim "hulk hogan" who contributed to the positive experience for us. The new Triumph bikes they use are pretty awesome as well! Thank you Trish, John, Kev and Jim - you all made it an absolute pleasure.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant place to learn, the instructors are great. The place has a chilled out friendly relaxing feel to it, which is great for nervous or first time riders. Neil for the CBT was brilliant. John for my lessons and tests absolutely fantastic, plenty of time for me and plenty of attention to area's in which need improving to get ready for my tests. Mod 1 and Mod 2 passed first time after a semi-intensive course across three weeks. I would highly recommend anyone to these guys in the future.

Fantastic experience: I was fortunate enough to have passed Mod 1 and Mod 2 this week. Minors were 0 and 2 something which I can only attribute to the stellar standards of teaching at Bryans Motorcycle Training. I completed my CBT in (Mar 2024) with Jim and Neil- my first ever taste of riding a motorbike and swiftly came back for more thanks to the encouragement and positive reinforcement received. Proceeded to have a few more lessons (thanks Kev :P) before starting my DAS course. Day one of DAS course, the prognosis of my being in this current situation was bleak. So, when I say John worked his magic over the next four days, I say it with no exaggeration . With his exceptional patience and calming aura we got through the most challenging but rewarding motor vehicle experience of my life. As a woman I would recommend this training school with no hesitation. For anyone worried about being treated differently because of gender and size, not something to even consider here. To Trish, John, Kev, Jim and Neil… thank you for choosing to share your passions and make a difference in this world.

Fantastic experience: Just amazingly brilliant. I've waited a couple of days to let it all sink in. I did the 5 day intensive DAS course. I was so nervous about everything, but John and all the tream settled me down. I was determined to have fun and whatever the outcome, take away better riding skills. I passed and I don't think I would have if it wasn't for John's gentle coaxing, attention to detail and his teaching style. As a woman sometimes you can feel the eye rolls but I felt totally accepted here. John does deserve a bonus (Kevin). I wish now I'd done my CBT here, I'd have had a better skill set. Just cant recommend highly enough. I'll definitely be back for advanced rider training. Your all amazing thank you.

Fantastic experience: After much deliberation and researching other companies in the area, I booked a 5-day intensive DAS course with Bryans. I initially booked through BMW's site, but I highly recommend calling directly as I did not receive any confirmation emails. I called several times for confirmation and to ask various questions. Kev answered every single time, and he was friendly and extremely helpful, which made me look forward to my booking even more. I hadn't ridden properly in over 7 years due to an accident that shattered my confidence on two wheels. I was really anxious that 5 days wouldn't be enough, but Bryans instantly put me at ease with their friendliness, professionalism, and well-organized setup. This support was crucial when getting back on the bikes. I spent my week with John and Kev, who both imparted a wealth of helpful information in a short amount of time and made the entire experience fantastic. They covered every aspect of Mod 1 and Mod 2 and answered all my questions with complete certainty. I passed both Mod 1 and Mod 2 on my first attempt, thanks to these two gentlemen. Nothing came up during the tests that they hadn't thoroughly prepared me for. I also observed other team members teaching aspects of CBT to various students. Their approach was perfect—friendly, humorous, yet highly educational and professional. If I had to do it all over again, I'd choose Bryans every single time. Thanks again gents.

Fantastic experience: I took a 7 day course from CBT to full bike license. I learned a lot from very experienced, knowledgeable and friendly instructors. Everyone at Bryans were very friendly and helpful. I passed my test, but more importantly I learned about riding well, and safely. When I have some more of my own riding experience, I will be back for more advanced riding lessons, because all of us road users always have room to improve. Thanks you!

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend highly enough for anyone wanting to learn or develop their skills. I hadn’t ridden before and opted for the Direct Access. The facilities are excellent and the whole team are friendly. All the equipment was provided and included in my booking, the bikes are all new and maintained extremely well. The team of instructors are all great, top of their game and a special thanks to Jim and John for their expert advise and hard work in getting me through my tests at the first attempt all within a week. Anyone not sure on booking, give Bryans a call and they will offer a plan to suit you, or do what I did and book online, super easy and the follow up contact didn’t leave me wondering what’s next. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Fantastic experience: I came to Bryan's Rider Training as a complete rookie through the aptly named rookie to rider package having researched for hours on the benefits of doing so. A 7days intensive course lay ahead of me starting on a 125cc to a 310cc and then a 750GS. During my time there I met Trish on the front desk, John, Jim, Kev and Neil who were all fantastically supportive and have their process down to a smooth extremely well oil structured operation. Once foundations on the pad were established with Jim I was then handed over to John the chief instructor. He then went on to develop my riding skills to beyond test standards with emphasis on becoming the safest rider you can be not just to pass the MOD1 and MOD2 tests. Believe me when I say everything is picked up on and improved upon John really knows his roadcraft and this is evident having the maximum DVSA score possible, all reassuring stuff when your learning as a complete rookie. This was an absolutely fantastic experience that is evident in so many other reviews. Bryans has something very special and would urge anyone to take the leap if they are considering it. I passed both MOD1 and MOD2 first time within 7 days never having ridden so much as a moped. I believe this speaks volumes on the quality of training. Fantastic experience: Echoing many of the positive reviews about Bryan’s - I could not recommend it highly enough. The whole team were very encouraging and friendly offering top quality bikes and a full mod 1 practice area. I did the intensive course with John who was a true gentleman and a consummate professional - it was a pleasure to get to know him over the course of the week. As the website alludes to, the 7 day course is full on. I had a big commute on top of the days training with two small kids waiting to jump on me at home so don’t underestimate how mentally and physically tired you will be, I had never touched a bike before this so there was a lot to digest. Fantastic experience: Outstanding bunch at Bryan’s BMW rider training. Did a week intensive course for DAS, having had a couple years experience in a 125 some 5/6 years previously and recently redoing my CBT. They tailored the course ever so slightly as I had previous experience and the other student was brand new which really helped build that initial confidence back up and make the most of the time. Every member of staff was kind and friendly which really helps put you at ease and all were extremely helpful. I’ve had many different instructors over the years for various different things and these are the best instructors I’ve EVER had. Could not recommend them enough. Well done John and Kev. Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend them enough! Such a great team! 10/10 - I passed my mod 1 & 2 first time with this riding school. On booking the 5 day intensive course they were very helpful on explaining what the course consists of as well as booking me in for a half day lesson prior to the course. On my half day lesson I had Kev as my instructor who is very friendly (like the whole team) and he got me out on the road and then explained mod 1 on their own mod 1 course. This really helped me get ready for the intensive course. On the 5 day course I had John as my instructor who was very patient and explained things well. The course itself isn’t called ‘intensive’ for no reason, it was hard work but very rewarding at the end. You learn everything you need to ride correctly and safely. Test day came and I passed mod 1 and 2 first time! Big thanks to John and the team.

Fantastic experience: I have just completed the 7 day intensive course and I must say that I have received what can only be described and the most outstanding training experience I have ever had. From the moment I arrived I was treated like I belonged and I found that the people were amazing I enjoyed meeting the staff and working with them and the other candidates were friendly too. A special mention goes to John without who my A licence journey would not have been possible he provided me with everything I needed to pass and when I was struggling he supported me and tailored all aspects of the training to suit me. I would recommend Bryans to anyone who is contemplating their bike test if you want the all round complete experience they are simply the best. Fantastic experience: Bryan’s was an incredible experience. I did the 7 day intensive for direct access. I hadn’t ridden a bike for almost 40 years and they helped me get my full licence in 7 days. All the instructors are very experienced, amazingly patient and very professional. I can’t recommend them enough. They cause you to relax from day one and work through every issue. My instructor Roz was very encouraging and helped me to enjoy and learn at the same time. Quality equipment was available to borrow and the bikes are well maintained. Would recommend this company without hesitation as I'm now signed up for the DAS course.

Fantastic experience: I waited till I passed to write this review, but from day 1 I knew I had made the right choice for lessons. I did my CBT with a different company and wasn't feeling confident enough to ride on the road safely. I phoned Trish who talked me through my options and booked on for a single lesson with John. I then booked individual lessons around my work schedule and passed first time both Mod 1 and Mod 2. I can honestly say that was entirely down to the skill, passion and professionalism of the instructors! The bikes and equipment are top notch (You could see the difference with other schools when parked at the test centre). And the facilites were perfect! I was taught at my own pace, never felt unsafe or unprepared. I was made to feel at ease from my first time on the bike. Every single instructor was fantastic: Ros, John, Kev and Jim and Trish made all the planning and organisation really easy. I cannot recommend them enough. You absolutely get what you pay for.

Fantastic experience: Completed my DAS course, going from CBT to Full A license. 100% the right choice for me to do the intense course. The instructors are totally professional, but will also do their upmost to get the best out of you as a learner too - having a laugh and a joke along the way. I tend to get nervous about tests, but John really helped me to keep my cool when it mattered most! Simply couldn't recommend this training centre enough. Brilliant new bikes, brilliant people and brilliant roads to start to learn your road craft! If you are in any doubt, don't. Training here is absolutely worth it!

Fantastic experience: Recently completed a 6 day intensive direct access course at Bryan's having done a CBT with them last year. Everybody there was pleasant and helpful, and all the training I received was fantastic, they were patient and attentive, most of my training was one to one which was fantastically helpful focussing on any specific weak points in my riding. When the time came to do both of the test modules I was confident that the training provided had got me up to and past the required standards. Passed both modules and couldn't be happier. Big thanks to Ros (CBT) and John and Jim (Direct access training) for their patience and hard work. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Did an intensive course with Bryan’s through the BMW Rookie to Rider scheme and was very impressed all the way through. Our instructor John was extremely professional and knowledgeable, getting us through the course while still having a sense of humour and a laugh. The other staff all seem extremely friendly too. The bikes are all very nice, new bikes. Very comfortable to ride and beginner friendly. Will definitely be looking in to this school when I come to upgrade my licence, can’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: I have just competed an intensive course with Bryan's, and they got me through both tests to get my full license. Form when I arrived on my first day I felt like I was part of a family. John, my trainer, had the patience and teaching skills to get me to the required standard whilst still making me feel relaxed and comfortable. I genuinely can't recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Excellent CBT experience & moved on to the 3 hour lessons as I could find time with work for an "intensive course". Sunday lessons are ideal for those with busy jobs. I was in a fortunate position to be able to borrow a bike for my MOD 1 & 2 tests but I'm still very glad I chose Bryans for some lessons. Great atmosphere & good teachers. I was fortunate to have a few lessons with the main man himself Kev & I found it only fitting I saw him on my way back from Burton after passing my MOD2. The team that support you on the training are superb I'm only small but they absolutely help me to nail my mod 1 and MOD 2 on a 750 . I originally went with a company in Burton-upon-Trent and wasted my money. Thank you to all Kevs team.

Fantastic experience: My sincere thanks go to all the team at Bryan’s. 5 stars for all aspects of the training, equipment, facilities etc etc. The whole 7 day experience couldn’t have been better for me, from the warm welcome from everyone the minute I walked in to the training school, to completing mod 1 and mod 2 on the last day. The team made me feel completely relaxed and reassured throughout the course. After some not so great experiences at a couple of other training schools, I can honestly say the guys and girls at Bryan’s are simply great at what they do.

Fantastic experience: 7 day Direct Access Course 04.11.22 From the first contact with Trish to my CBT with Roz and the next few days leading up to my Mod1 & Mod2 with John I cannot fault anything. Brilliant information and training at all times with superb bikes which were all new. When all my tests were completed and passed first time I realized how thorough the training had been. As an older road riding novice with mainly off road experience this was exactly what I needed. Thanks guys.

Fantastic experience: I did a 7 day direct access 0-Hero course with Bryans just recently in September '22. Im thrilled to say I passed my full bike licence with zero minors on both my Mod 1 and Mod 2. I cannot thank the team more, my main instructor was John - he was incredible. Whilst Kev, Trish and Jim where equally supporting and amazing too throughout the course. The teams professionalism is first rate, and everyone makes it a fun yet safe and relaxed environment in which to learn within. The equipment (brand new BMW bikes) and clothing is first rate and really made the experience a pleasure. I had heard so many horror stories from family and friends when it came to doing their Motorbike licences elsewhere and 'on the cheap', and honestly it's just not worth it. Spend the money, don't hesitate, do it the right way. I cannot recommend Bryans Rider Training more - I will be back to do advance rider training in the future for sure

Fantastic experience: I'm incredibly happy to have passed the 7 day intensive course! Trish is super helpful and organised. Jim laid the foundations for safe riding in the CBT and Roz is really astute at developing your skills and confidence to become a competent biker. The motorbikes are mint and well maintained. Each step to progress from a 125, 310 and a 750 is reinforced with defensive riding knowledge, followed by the familiarisation of the controls and manoeuvring around cones before embarking on the road. Knowing the F750GS has ABS is reassuring for the emergency stops because you can feel it kick in and, it gets up to the target speed for the Mod1 test with ease. The 750 handling is confident and I found it easier for doing the figure of eights. Every day involved plenty of road riding broken up by Mod1 test practice, finishing with a debrief and an agreed focus for the next day. As the Mod1 test approached the practice time increased to perfect the skills. I had plenty of eureka moments and the team (including John and Tara) showed genuine interest in how I was progressing and provided advice. By the end of the course and, from all the road time, the safe riding reflexes were so ingrained that the Mod2 test was surprisingly relaxed and comfortable. Can't ask for anything more than that. Highly recommend the intensive course, it's tiring but the extra days of riding and the momentum to get you through the tests are worth it.

Fantastic experience: I recently attended a five day, intensive DAS course with Bryan’s BMW rider training and the instruction and preparation was first class. Having completed a CBT eight months earlier at a school local to me I elected to use a BMW school for DAS expecting excellent equipment and training. My course mate and I were trained by Ros who had a very good training style, patience and met our individual training needs. She used building blocks to raise our technique and experience. Ros was keen to stress that we were not being trained to pass the test but develop habits for a life of safe riding so that when we did the MOD2 test route, we would have the skills necessary to tackle any hazards. Throughout the course there was gradual progression and guidance followed by the tests with the DVSA. The organisational knowledge also shone through due to their experience in training and the area. In summary I would not hesitate to recommend Bryan’s BMW rider training for anyone contemplating learning to ride or looking to develop their skills further. They will start from where you are and take you to where you would like to be.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience, went from CBT through to MOD1 and MOD2 in a week. It’s called intensive training and it is intense, with lots to learn and take in but all the staff are brilliant, John who took me through the CBT and a really special mention for Roz who took me from the 310cc to 750cc and final tests. Her teaching methods are so clear, she progressively gives you more confidence, spots everything and works with you to hone your skills. I can’t recommend this team enough, I enjoyed it so much, thanks.

Also thanks to Jim on the first day I had my CBT and made it an enjoyable day. All the instructors are brilliant and it’s definitely the best place to get your motorcycle training done whether it’s a CBT or intensive course. They make everyone feel welcome and at ease it don’t matter what level rider you are. Also we had a few laughs on the way. Fantastic experience: Undertook 2 day CBT training over 2 Sundays. My instructor, Roz was very patient, professional, helpful and gave me the confidence to complete the training successfully. The bike ‘Usha’ was a great machine, well looked after and I fell in love with her. In my opinion, best place for motorcycle training in Stoke on Trent.

Fantastic experience: Roz is fab she take her time with you and explains everything to you I was a bit nervous at 1st and as the class was a bit a head in there training than me she still took her time with me and I caught up to the class very fast I was told if I never been on a bike do it on a scooter but Ross give me the confidence to get on the bike and learn the gears and I am so glad I did it on the bike now. Can't wait to finish my CBT off next Thursday. If you get Ross on your CBT you are in good hands. Just passed my CBT now one week later as I did it in 2 parts and I can't thank Roz enough definitely recommend her and the company and to be honest the price they charge is so worth it and I would off happily paid a bit more for it 100% recommend them

I knew after having such a good experience with Bryan's when I did my CBT that I would come back to do my full lincense. If you are shopping around for a DAS course or Mod1&2 training, look no further! They make the process of gaining your license very enjoyable and methodical. I did a 6 day intensive DAS course with John as my main instructor, he is a very patient, friendly, and meticulous teacher, making me feel very at ease. I very much appreciated the attention to detail during the training to encourage me to be a very good, safe rider, not just good enough to past the tests. For me it took a while to become consistent particlarly with the Mod 1 manouvres, John was great at reinforcing the teaching points in a patient way knowing that with practice and concetration I'd get it - which sure enough I did! Similarly with on road riding, we stopped whilst out on a ride for feedback and discussion. I also worked with Jim who is another fantastic teacher, he helps you to relax and enjoy the experience of learning to ride. I passed my Mod 1 second time and my Mod 2 first time! Fantastic experience: I enrolled on a Rookie to Ride scheme through BMW Motorad Wolverhampton with the team at Bryans in Stoke upon Trent providing the training At 58 I had never ridden a motorcycle From the initial call to Trish at Bryans who administrates things I was totally confident that I was in good hands As a complete Rookie the team really looked after me Special credit to John & Jim (main trainers to me). I was a totally raw material & shall I say tested their skills & patience. They were both unfaltering My journey with Bryans began in October & I successfully passed my mod 2 in December. I had in total only 10 days training which is testament to the quality of the training delivered My training was top notch on top notch bikes My F 750 GS was delivered on 18th March I have purposefully left some months between gaining my full licence & reviewing as I have now had some independent riding to reflect upon the training delivered They are not just in business they are enthusists through & through. Fantastic experience: From never having ridden a motorcycle after 30 years of driving the team at Bryans are second to none in providing the right skills to pass the direct access. Roz, John and Kev are knowledgeable, experienced and share their skills at every step of the way. Passing first time in 7 days is testament to the training delivered. Fantastic experience: An awesome place to learn how to ride a bike. Roz made it so simple and was very patient with my attempts as a first time rider. I've learnt a lot today and thank to all the instructions there was no accident and, it was a very pleasant day. Kev gave me good guidance on how to proceed further as I'd like to carry a pillion, and will be giving an attempt to the full A license.
