Fantastic experience: I completed my DAS 4.5 day course with Karl, Andy and Rich. I mostly rode with Karl but was nice to receive advice and tips about gear and first bikes from all 3. Karl is a firm and knowledgeable instructor, if you make a mistake I’m sure you’ll know about it. The previous company I done my CBT with was very disorganised and the bikes were in terrible condition. The bikes at karmenz are newer and in far better condition. I was swiftly moved from the 125 to the Z650 with a day or two which gave me lots of confidence. Don't be scared of the bigger bikes, they inspire much more confidence in you than the 125s. Would highly recommend Karmenz to anyone who wants to do anything bike related. Im sure ill pop in once I decide what bike I want - cheers boys.

Fantastic experience: Great experience learning to ride with Andy, Rich & Karl. Passed my mod 1 & 2 first time - in 5 days of tuition having never even sat on a bike before. Also, some great practical advice about gear and what to buy, really appreciated the advice of experienced bikers. I have recently passed my CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2 with training from Karl, Andy and Richard over a 4.5 day course and loved every minute of it! I’ve wanted to ride a motorbike for years and finally got the opportunity to learn and after being recommended to learn at Karmenz, I called them discussed my ability and booked - only having to wait 4 weeks to start. All of the trainers here are great, I spent most of time learning with Karl and not only learned and increased my ability to ride far quicker than I thought possible but also had a great time. It felt like we were just a couple of mates hanging out on bikes and talking about the ride each day - which is what i want from biking in general! Karl has a great way of putting you at ease when on the test days and you can really tell that he has been doing this for years and loves his job. Passed my CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2 on the first attempt on a 4.5 day course with some riding experience previously and would highly recommend. Lastly, would also like to add that the bikes themselves are well maintained and good quality bikes - easy to learn on.

Fantastic experience: I struggled and got extremely frustrated during my first go of my CBT. I ended up coming back and this time it was much easier. To be fair I used the scooter and when it was time to go in the road, Andy was great and put me at ease. Patience of a Saint. Got my CBT in the end. Guys know what they’re doing and are very good at their job. Would and have recommended people to use them.

Fantastic experience: I did a 2.5 day A2 course. I passed my Mod 1 and Mod 2 with Karmenz first time. I rode a BMW G310GS. Great bike to learn on and was well maintained. Karl was my instructor, friendly guy, gives constructive criticism which is what you want in an instructor. I would do my full A license with them when time comes. That should speak for itself.

Fantastic experience: Just passed my mod 2 today! Took 2 attempts at my mod 1 and 2 for my mod 2 but the 2 tests I failed were silly mistakes completely down to me. If you want to pass your bike test or even your CBT use Karmenz. The training that goes into any of the tests is superb and also very enjoyable. All the guys are super friendly and very knowledgeable. I'll be down to see you all as soon as I've been and got a bike! Thank you guys

They are demanding and tough but they want to make sure once you leave with your licence you will be safe in the roads and that is exactly what I would expect from a good riding school.

Fantastic experience: Can’t fault my recent experience with the guys at Karmenz. Karl, Andy and Rich were all sound guys and excellent instructors. I was anxious going into my training as I had zero experience on a bike - and now a few days later I’ve got my full licence and feel confident riding on the roads. During the training, we rode out to various motorbike showrooms and shops where Andy in particular was able to give me some super advice about what gear would be best for me, and what bikes I might like too! Fantastic experience: Well what can I say! I hadn’t ridden for around 15 years, and having a full A licence was my goal. Initially spoke to Karl who worked out with me that a 4 day course would be ideal given some previous experience but definitely glad I had 2 days on the 125cc Honda. Passed my CBT the first day and worked on bettering my control the second. Third day came, me and the MT-07 bonded instantly! What a machine!!! My confidence and skills increased quickly under Karl, Andy and Rich’s instruction. Highly professional and enthusiastic team that was firm when needed to be, massively supportive and encouraging. I must say I really struggled with the U-Turn manoeuvre which was weighing heavily on my mind making me feel I just couldn’t manage it after messing it up a fair few times in training, but the Mod1 day Rich was an absolutely amazing instructor filling me with encouragement on the practice runs at the DVSA test centre last week, and I smashed it! Today I passed my Mod 2 with flying colours after a 4 day course of essentially a standing start after 15 years away from 2 wheels. 100% recommended these guys to get you on the road, i’ll look forward to buying a bike soon and coming back to say hello! Fantastic experience: I had my 3.5 day DAS course with Karmenz, which concluded earlier this week. I cannot thank the team enough, for making me feel so welcome, being incredibly attentive, and ensuring that I was prepared for my test. Booking out the DVSA test site to practice the module 1 test was a brilliant touch, and made me feel at ease. More hobnobs on the way Karl!

Negative experience: Members of your staff are very aggressive towards those who are learning. Instead of being told what to do, they're shouted at, swore at and made to feel like a idiot. Which is very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Anybody reading this with anxieties or worries whether they are capable of riding and passing for a full licence or simply starting off with a CBT should enrol with Karmenz because these guys know how to settle you down, install confidence and raise your riding abilities. They have the expertise, a wide selection of motorbikes to meet most people needs, plus a compound for the off road experience, you even get to ride in the examination centre compound where the mod 1 is performed. What's better than that, right.... Anyhow highly recommended, just do it you'll know you will enjoy it. Money well spent. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Just passed my final motorcycle test thanks to the team at Karmenz!!! I called up just over a month ago to enquire about a DAS course, I had no previous on road experience. I was given advice on which course to book and within minutes I had dates booked for CBT, 600cc training Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests. Along the way I got to ride with Rich, Andy, Collin and Karl and they’re a great bunch of people who’re all passionate about what they do. I feel the training I received from each of these guys was absolutely top notch. After I’d done the 125cc and went on to the 600cc training I was given a BMW GS 750cc to learn on as this was the most suitable bike for me, I rode this throughout the rest of my course. They have loads of different bikes at this place and they’re all maintained on a daily basis. I believe they select the right bike for you based on your ability from what I’ve seen. I’ve got no other training schools to compare Karmenz to as this was my first experience but I think you’d struggle to meet these standards anywhere else. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: After reading reviews chose to pick karmenz and the positive feedback is well earned. Overall great experience. Concise teaching but still kept the course interesting and fun. Very welcoming group of people, (Can't for the life of me remember the instructors name,) but he was an amazing teacher. The instructor adjusted his approach to each of us on the course, tackling our strengths and weaknesses, showing he has a lot of experience teaching and catering to different learning styles. You can really tell the main focus is about your safety and the safety of others over anything, but they also have quite a passion for teaching. It really seems, they enjoy giving newer riders the knowledge they need, to be on the road, safe, sharing in something they are passionate about. The course was taken seriously highlighting the dangers and precautions that need to be taken, however was kept light with humour and conversation. Meaning it in no way felt insanely pressured, or test like, instead a demonstration of safety; giving you the knowledge to learn to ride. I was reasonably nervous for the on road section of the course due to having next to no road experience. However I was well guided through this part over in ear pieces, with the instructor making it a lot more comfortable, with complete knowledge on the roads and hazards. After this was given constructive advice on some of the mistakes I made. Once again showing they really want to help newer riders build experience but also be safe. Big thankyou to the team!!!

Fantastic experience: I have this morning, just completed and passed my license with Karmenz. Having been taught by all the instructors I thought I would be in a good position to leave a review. If you don't want to read on, then the takeaway is Excellent all round. I did the 5.5 day Direct Access Course including CBT On day 1 we had Colin for our CBT, which involved some classroom stuff and then riding around the cones in the car park getting a feel for the bikes (I myself had not been on one in 20 years). Once Colin was happy we all went out for a 2 hour road ride, during which time we covered all the bases, in-town, country roads, some busier roads, then back to Karmenz for a debrief. Day 2, Again today we were with Colin. We had awful rain, however they had us covered with ample kit for wet weather and it turned out to be a great experience. Again all roads were covered. All the time with Colin giving us plenty of helpful advice and pointers along the way. We even stopped in Wellingborough for a refreshment break at the Pump House Cafe. Day 3 we were with Rich, who took us out on the 125's for another full days riding. We spent the day all over Northamptonshire, returning to Karmenz half way for lunch break. Day 4 Switching it up on to the larger bikes with Rich. Today saw us on the Kawasaki 650's, we started by doing slow speed work around the yard working up to figure of eights, U turns, slow riding. Then in the afternoon we were out and about down the country lanes. We ended the day going through Western Favel past the academy at school kicking out time. Man there was traffic everywhere, but we all perfected our slow riding and spotting hazards this afternoon! Day 5 - Today we were with the big boss, Carl and Andy, Carl started us out in the yard practising our slow speed work, then they both took us to the test centre in Kettering for out Mod 1 test. Carl took us all on the track for some one on one training around the actual obstacles. He also gave us lots of very helpful tips on what to do. We all passed first time. Although I did have to have a second attempt at the speed trap swerve as I was just very slightly too slow. However I nailed it on the second attempt. While one of us was taking the test, Andy took the others out around Kettering along one of the test routes and pointed out all the little oddities that might catch us out. Day 5.5 Mod 2 day. We met at Karmenz and Carl took both of us to the test centre, this was a few days after our last lesson so we were a little rusty. I lead the group and Karl kept the advice coming in a friendly, but concise way. I had my test first and the examiner was a really friendly chap. I passed with only two minors. Overall Karmenz teach to a high standard and are encouraging and helpful at every turn. All the instructors are excellent, but you don't just get stuck with one of them, they each take a turn training you which means you benefit from all of their experience. I fell like I had excellent tuition here and am thrilled to be able to ride my motorcycle by myself. However, Karl, amde a point to invite me to a ride out, and also told me to pop back anytime for a chat. I think I will be having some more time with them just to keep my skills sharp. All in all, excellent all round, and highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Started my journey in September with a view to getting my full A license. As an older learning, having not been on a bike for over 40 years, found them patient & accommodating, offered extra training to help me progress to the bigger bikes to gain confidence. Full guidance was given on both modules of what to except and how to accomplish. Driving the routes of Module 2 testing, explaining what exactly would be expected to pass. Would thoroughly recommend using these guys at Karmenz.

Fantastic experience: I did a 4.5 day das course with karmenz and have just passed my full A license! I’m over the moon! Mod 1 first time and mod 2 2nd time. I couldn’t have done it without Karl’s team - rich, Andy, and Colin, they’re all excellent instructors providing tailored critique and training to make sure you’re safe on the road and ready to do the tests. I wasn’t a complete novice but I struggle with my confidence, however they did a great job at building that up for me. In particular, for any women considering this school, I’d highly recommend them. I’m 5ft 2 and found the z650s great for learning on. Thank you Karmenz!

Fantastic experience: I took a 5 day course at Karmenz and it was a brilliant experience, all the instructors are kind and very knowledgeable, it’s scary at first, but before you know it you’ll be having lots of fun. A big thank you to Collin and Andy, the two instructors who I spent most of my time with, they managed to turn me from a nervous wreck with no balance to a safe and much more confident rider.

Fantastic experience: Took my Compulsory Basic Training Course at Karmenz Motorcycle training today. There were 3 of us on the course, and our instructor for the day was Colin. I can honestly say it was an enjoyable experience. Bikes and necessary equipment are supplied, practice in the yard followed by simple routes on the road. Colin’s instructing was clear and concise, and his patience was impressive when needed! :) Radio comms help to understand the road manoeuvres and I’m happy to say I feel confident to start riding my own machine. Fantastic experience: I had my CBT done this Monday and passed successfully. I would like to say a big thank you to Colin my instructor. Although I was very nervous and didn’t know what to expect to begin with, Colin quickly reassured me that I’m doing fine and I drive really well but need just a bit more confidence in myself. He had a lot of patience with me and made sure I got the hang of each exercise perfectly. The actual ride out on the roads was fun and I enjoyed it so much, I quickly got more confident on the road and felt proud to finally ride a bike on different public roads. Fantastic experience: I booked a DAS course with Karmenz after reading a few of the reviews and a recommendation. Being new to Motorbike riding, I completed the CBT on day one of the course followed by two days on the 650 Bikes. The Mod1 test was on the Friday, followed by the Mod 2 test on the following Tuesday. I passed both tests only through the expert training, guidance and coaching for Colin, Andy, Rich & the boss – Karl. We all learn at different levels and the team absolutely know how to bring you on to the right levels to pass both tests. The DAS is an intense course, and the speed of learning and training is quick, but worth it. Communications is via radio earpieces when out on the road which is a huge help as they guide you on lane position, speed and hazard awareness. There was a wide range of age & experience (me being a young 55) on the course – so no barriers. Thank you all at Karmenz fantastic results, and really appreciate you putting up with me for the week. Absolutely recommend this team to anyone who is thinking about obtaining your big bike licence; just do it people, don’t think – “I wish I had” – make it “Remember when”.

Fantastic experience: An update….I returned to Karmenz for my DAS course. The mix of instructors during this was very useful and I learnt a lot. Happy to say I passed MOD1 and 2 for the first time. I spent the day being tutored by Rich for my CBT and loved every minute. Teaching at the right pace by a knowledgable and passionate instructor makes the world of difference. Definitely will use Karmenz when I go for my A1 and highly recommend them.

Did the DAS course (had already completed CBT prior), and across four days of instruction became confident on the bike, passing Mod 1&2 first time thanks to the teaching of the excellent instructors. Lots of time to practice, riding in a pair and constantly given feedback to best prepare us for the tests. All four on my course passed first time, would highly recommend Karmenz.

The bikes themselves are clean and well maintained, as well as a big enough training area before you head onto the road setup with junctions to practice on. The inside lessons were well explained and not rushed, as well as a few jokes during it! During the road ride I felt very safe thanks to the instructor’s guidance over the radio, as well as occasional breaks to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable with the rest of the ride. I will definitely be using these guys again for any of my future bike lessons or test preparation!

Negative experience: Tried to contact these guys three times by leaving voicemail message and on chat, never bothered contacting me.The response I got from Karmenz was not what I was expecting, this was not one effort to contact them that could have got missed as I appreciate they are always busy but three with no response. There comment of the review was rude and they basically said go somewhere else. Well return messages and calls then. Sorry this says a lot about you!

Fantastic experience: Best instructors in the game. Did a 5.5 day DAS with Karmenz. From the CBT and my first day on the road with Colin, another day of learning with Rich and then onto the z650 with the main man Karl (in some lovely rain) All the guys at Karmenz made a couple of Novices like me and my wife into competent and safe riders. We passed both Modules first time thanks to their expert guidance and clear and concise instruction. Could not recommend them enough. Fantastic! Many Thanks Karl and the gang.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic group guys who really try their best to make you a safe rider and get you through your test. Richard my instructor was very patient and gave me great advice along with lots of moral support (and a kick up the arse when needed) They have various bikes for you to use but they also allow you to do your CBT test on your own as long as your insurance covers it. Could not recommend them enough and I will be booking my full bike test with them.

Fantastic experience: I just completed my DAS today with Karmenz. I began my journey last year when I completed my CBT. The team who taught me (Rich, Glen & Andy) know their stuff! Don't expect lazy tuition or partial feedback on your riding, the team here are constantly ensuring you stick to a VERY high standard of riding and I would encourage anyone who wants to learn properly to use these guys. I've now obtained my full license and am looking forward to getting my big bike for touring. Fantastic experience: Everyone here, Rich, Andy, Colin and Glen ( hope i got everones names right, Im rubbish at that ) is absolutely amazing. They are patient and explain everything in detail. Fantastic experience: Fantastic! Just completed my DAS to now be a proud full motorbike license holder. Having never really ridden motorbikes, but wanting to for a long time, Karl, Andy and Rich took me through from complete beginner to get my CBT, guided me from 125s onto a 650cc MT07 (which was great fun!), on which they coached me through my Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests. The standard of teaching really is excellent, and their expectations of you as a rider are reassuringly high!! Thoroughly recommended - if you’re thinking of doing it… go for it!!!
