Fantastic experience: The difference with Gedges to other training providers is that they teach you to safely and confidently ride a bike, not to just pass the test. Phil was my very patient instructor who, after each lesson, would calmly answer all my questions about the lesson (and I had a lot of questions). The whole experience of learning to ride was tailored to what worked for me as an individual learner. I highly recommend them as a trainer if you are new to riding, want to learn at your own pace and particularly if you are at all anxious. Thank you Phil.

Fantastic experience: The team at JS Gedge Triumph in St Leonards-on-Sea, know what customers care is about. I unfortunately did not buy my new Triumph Tiger Rally pro from them however when destination triumph wouldn’t help me with a fault on the heated grips, JG Gedge booked me in within 2 days and fixed the problem in 20 minutes. All the team at JS Gedge Triumph were so friendly and know how to treat a customer. I will be only using JS Gedge Triumph in St Leonards-on-Sea from now on. I just wish I had bought my bike from them but I will buy future bikes from them and take my bike back for servicing. Thanks again for your team’s help.

Fantastic experience: Was unfortunate enough to get a flat tyre in the area called round a few places and couldn't fit me in. Gave these guys a call and they were able to recover my bike repair my tyre and got me back on the road in less than a couple hours. Great service and at a good price.

Negative experience: I am totally disgusted. I was the one who found this company to train my daughter She has been treated appallingly and from other reviews there seems a pattern.even after confirming she wanted to ride her own 125CC bike she was pressed to ride a 500cc bike which was a totally stupid thing that no professional would have suggested my daughter is tiny the bike was far too large for her .this was utterly unprofessional and dangerous.she was not allowed any time to adjust but sent straight out on The Road ! THIS IT COMPLETELY RECKLESS DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.. she was then abused told to give up riding and sent home on her bike in a total emotional state ..where was the duty of care .where was the common decency...would they want their young daughters treated so poorly...I can not say more strongly DO NOT WASTE TIME OR MONEY WITH THESE TOXIC MEN .

Negative experience: Absolutely wrecked my confidence after making me ride a 500cc for the first time after only ever driving a 125cc my entire life.Then act surprised that I struggled to ride it on the road with no chance to adjust to it. I bought my bike with me after i was told on the phone that i could use it, only to be refused. Do not waste your time with them. Staff was rude when I asked if it was okay to park my bike outside the store when the bike bay was full. Clearly have no idea how to train people, especially nervous girls.

Negative experience: Edgar is right - incredibly inpatient instructor who clearly hasn't experienced riding a 125 in many years. Serious lack of understanding on how new riders may experience a larger bike for the first time. Many incredibly rude remarks coupled with a lack of actual advise on how to improve my riding (despite asking multiple times for Actual Pointers instead of what was basically borderline insults) take your money elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant experience by JS Gedges in St leonards on sea. Beginning of the year i walked in to talk about DAS and booked my CBT as i have been driving for 20 years and wanted to get back into bike riding. After few months gap I started doing lessons and they don’t just train you to pass the test, they train you with all the skills to be a safe rider on the road throughout your riding life. Andy in the clothing shop is an absolute gem of a person. He gives excellent advice to everyone and helps you find right gear to match your budget without putting any pressure as they even provide helmet+ jacket etc as part of CBT training if someone doesn’t want to spend money initially. However, Andy sorted me a perfect starter kit. He is Super knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He is a real credit to Gedges. My instructor Phil was brilliant and prepared me well with weekly lessons. His observation skills are brilliant and highlights all the areas that need attention. All the staff including Trevor who is extremely experienced and shared excellent tips during mod1 practice session, Gavin always welcoming you with a smile. I did my whole journey with them, CBT, Mod1, Mod 2 and successfully passed. They even allow you to pay via installments throughout your lessons and never chase you for money and give you flexibility to pay amount you can. I will be their customer for life and won’t hesitate to recommend them to all my friends and family :-)

Negative experience: called in shop 3 months ago to ask them to repair gear box in triumph rocket111. they said they could do it but not until November phoned today after waiting all this time to book it in there reply was dont want to do it as big job and can't fit it in as they are back logged with work they were not interested. but they were very nice when I bought a bike off them .they will get no more business off me never mind phoned a triumph dealer up shortly afte rand they can fit it next week

Negative experience: Staff were constantly rude and screaming at learners, I have no clue how they expect people to learn like that “have you ridden a bicycle before?” Answered yes then got told “you clearly have never ridden a bicycle before, what kind of life have you lived, were you not raised?” Like sorry but a bicycle is harder to ride than a moped, staff need to chill out a little bit, wouldn’t recommend, much better places in the surrounding area

Fantastic experience: The guys here are simply brilliant. I have just passed my A2 with them and they were nothing but positive and patient, every step of the way. Even after I was late to my my mod 1 and turned up a day late for a lesson ! They were still eager to get me passed. Cannot thank them all enough, if you are ever thinking of doing any bike training this is the place to go.

Passed my MOD1 and MOD2 first time. All training and test done for around 500 pound, one of cheapest and best places around. Highly recommend!!

Sharing my experience from Test Ride to Owning the bike. - Booked test ride and rescheduled it almost at the end of the day. Gavin was my contact person. He was pleased to give me the bike for ride and waited till I came back. It was their closing time and still I had a nice conversation with Gavin. - I booked the bike after a week over phone. Smooth and friendly communication through out the process. - Delivery day was absolutely fantastic, Travor turned up little early but I was ready to welcome. Fantastic experience: I bought my new Tiger here 2 years ago, and the level of friendly customer service was superb, from setting up 3 back to back test rides, the sales process - keeping me informed, etc, plus the past 2 years servicing. They are not my local Triumph dealer, and are an hour ride away, but I go here for all the reasons mentioned. My local Triumph dealer showed a total lack of enthusiasm, even though I was buying a new bike, so their loss is Gedge's gain, and where I will buy future Triumphs.

Fantastic experience: I honestly cannot recommend JS Gedge enough. Eleven years ago I learned to ride with Gedges, and eleven yrs on I've bought every single bike I've owned from them. These guys are a family owned business and it shows. They've always had my best interests at heart. As a female rider I am used to the "attitude" of dealerships and salespersons- none of that exists at Gedges - hence my loyalty.

(Impatient and excited. lol) Having only ridden for two years myself, they emailed with advice as well, and have always been willing to answer my questions. Their friendliness and professionalism is wonderful. I always feel welcome when i go to their store, even if i'm just tagging along. Great team.

Fantastic experience: My three year old Triumph Scrambler had a wiring loom problem which required a new loom. The motorcycle was one year out of warranty, however the staff at JS Gedge contacted Triumph HQ and argued my case with them. The end result was that they replaced the wiring loom at no charge and provided me a loan Triumph Scrambler for ten days during the repair. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and have always serviced and repaired my motorcycles perfectly. I have bought three motorcycles from Gedge over the years and I honestly cannot recommend them more highly.

Negative experience: Well where do I start, I started going to gedges many years ago (5 - 7 years) and at the beginning no problems, good with selling their bikes, however when it comes to getting jobs done on the bikes, they charge a lot and take a lot longer than most, I went into the place today to get my ECU updated as the garage that I had been going into doesn't have access to the triumph database. I told one of the guys what I needed, the owner then came down and asked me about the problem and I explained that there was power loss, i had the revalves done by another garage, which is where the owner was insisted on the other garage not having the tools and they wouldn't be able to afford it, I confirmed they had (this other garage is a really good place and definitely has all the tools) and the owner was being rude about this fact and said the other garage has taken on responsibility for the bike and they will have to deal with it, gedges will not do the ECU update as they will take the responsibility. Now this in itself I thought was extremely petty, all I needed was an update which is a plug in and update and they didn't say " I can just sign something to say they don't take responsibility " instead just brushed me off like I was in the wrong. I have felt betrayed by Gedges and over the years their customer service has been falling, I would encourage others to not get work done here, only to get a new motorbike if you wish to. Thanks

Fantastic experience: i have done the CBT Test for the third time and used other CBT centres J S Gedge is the best. The lessons are very good and they are patient with their learners. They take you through the slow ride test Once you done that learn how to ride and learn where all the controls are. They take you on the road, ride with you with a wireless communication behind you tell you where your going wrong whether you ride to close to park cars to the road signs Like the Stop sign where one doesn't commonly doesn't stop.. They are fully trained instructors are monioring you and teaching you .... "instinct" of roadsense .. making you feel safe a safe rider on the road. They also do Mod1 mod2 theory until you pass taking you to a fully trained rider to a fully qualified rider and pass the main test .. All in one fee or select a training Thank you Trevor Gedge for your patience

Negative experience: TERRIBLE. If I could score less I would. Booked my bike in told the next available booking is in 2 weeks so I waited, was looking forward to getting my bike fixed. I said exactly what was needed to be done and the bloke on the phone confirmed my issue and we spoke clearly about the problem. I was quoted a reasonable price and being new to the area thought I'd give them ago as I was looking for a reliable garage for all my future services, bike purchases etc too. They came to collect the bike and I was told they can't do the job and it would cost 3 times the amount anyway! I had the day off work to be there and they didn't even try to help get something sorted even though it was 100% their fault. My technical knowledge is pretty good when it comes to bikes so being thobbed off by someone on the phone and having it put down on me isn't what I'd expect from a professional place. Massively disappointed
