Fantastic experience: I did my CBT and a few weeks later my DAS with Bike Smart. They were really friendly and prompt in answering my questions over email before I booked. Adrian was great for my CBT and after it I felt confident to do my full license. Luke was brilliant, taught me a lot about perception and awareness as well as the more challenging manoeuvres on the bike. I learned a lot about the road despite having held a driving license for 18 years. I felt pretty confident going into the test and passed first time. Would definitely recommend Bike Smart!

Fantastic experience: I’ve done my automatic CBT, a manual conversion CBT course, and now my full DAS with BikeSmart where I passed both parts of the exam with zero minors. I’ve had bad experiences at other bike schools historically, but Luke from BikeSmart was exceptionally patient, encouraging, reassuring and full of knowledge. Every time I wasn’t getting the hang of something, Luke knew just what to say to get it to click. Having a great instructor makes such a huge difference and I really enjoyed the course. I’m London based but it was 100% worth making the trip out to take my course at BikeSmart - would strongly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Bike Smart for motorcycle training. From the CBT (provisional license) through to a full licence. The Bike Smart team were all helpful, friendly, professional and provided excellent training. I achieved the CBT with Bike Smart, then rode a 125cc for a few months, and returned for the DAS training and MOD 1 & 2 testes - which I passed FIRST time ! The DAS instructor, Luke, was very knowledgeable about bike skills and all requirements for the test. He pushed us to work hard, but kept the training enjoyable. If you are thinking about learning to ride a motorbike, just DO IT!

Fantastic experience: I recently did my cbt with these guys and I could not recommend them enough!, I had Ed and John instructing and they are both friendly and professional. Being a fairly nervous individual coupled with the fact I've never ridden a motorcycle before that day both the guys are easy going and made the day a memorable experience. Very highly recommended!!

Fantastic experience: Bike smart have been a fantastic company to train with! After completing my restricted Mod 2 with them a few years ago, today I completed my full DAS course. Luke, the instructor I had for the weekend, was helpful, knowledgeable and most importantly funny. This helped me mentally prepare as it set a relaxed tone for what can be a stressful few days of build up. I cannot more highly recommend their services for anyone looking to get on two wheels for the first time or to refresh and upgrade licenses.

Negative experience: Be warned they will ask for additional payments fuel charge which was a surprise. Also the reception insisted I train for 3+ hours before my test which made me extra tired. I did advise reception that I would be tired but they insisted. It was not a good outcome for me. If I had know would not have booked there. The instructor was a good instructor tho.

Fantastic experience: The best place to go for motorcycle training! I'm looking to get my full bike licence, so after passing my theory test, I went to Bike Smart for my CBT. All of the instructors were brilliant! They have the right balance of humour and seriousness, making the course informative and getting all important safety points across without making it "boring". There was 6 of us in the group but they were still able to give you so many helpful tips and one on one coaching which was impressive to see. I have already booking there 4 day DAS course for next month which I'm really looking forward to. Thanks again Bike Smart! Having done a CBT a number of years ago, they are the best place to go for training as far as I'm concerned.

However Luke and Jason made the whole process a breeze, very calm and clear instructions, went though any issues I was having and gave me tips on how to correct them, healthy dose of banter thrown in which helped with relaxing. Would recommend anyone thinking of doing their CBT with Bike Smart, nice training area too with plenty of space to change gears. Couldn't be happier with the whole day, was smiling throughout and am still smiling now. Great experience and great instructors.

Fantastic experience: I visited bikesmart a week ago or so and spoke with Peter about booking my das and getting some training in, I spoke with Peter about my previous experience on big bikes we went out for an assessment and soon after we booked a cbt plus 1 day for mod 1 and mod 2 training then test next day... having spent 6 years off the bikes I was worried I may need more training but with constant reassurance and training from luke I passed both tests today. Couldn't be any more pleased with the results and as an added bonus bikesmart conveniently have a workshop right next door so I'l be coming back for my servicing and my mot in a few months.. seriously if you want competitive pricing highly skilled polite trainers and a pass then go to bikesmart . ill be sending any friends there way in future... Worth every penny lukes a super chill dude and an all round awesome trainer... thanks everyone at bikesmart for being spot on... need an option for more then 5 stars lol

Fantastic experience: Exceptional Motorcycle Training. Not having any real onroad experience with motorbikes, I did my CBT then straight onto DAS within a month. Luke and Adrian are both amazing instructors, both with different methods of training but both professional and calm. They both make you feel at ease when learning and make it an all round fun experience while at the same time preparing you for everything when moving onto solo riding. Passing with 1 minor in both Mod 1 and Mod 2 first time, I cant recommend Bikesmart enough if you are looking to get your Motorcycle licence.

Fantastic experience: I just finished doing my DAS training and bike test with the help of bike smart. I did the majority of my training with Adrian, who was awesome. He really helped you understand and feel comfortable on the exercises and general riding during the training. He also helped as we had 2 way radios so we could ask questions as and when they came into our minds. The last couple of hours before my exam I had Luke who was also a legend. With Luke it was quite helpful as we only used 1 way radio which gave me the opportunity to get used to what it would be like on the test before having to do so. Awesome people, awesome bikes. Would highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I will start the review with how much i enjoyed the day it was a fantastic experience, I had my CBT training and from start to finsh I totaly enjoyed the whole day, I was a complete novice and have to say a touch nervous going into the training but I shouldn't have worried as from the moment I arrived the whole experience was fantastic, warm welocme put me at ease straight away and the morning off road car park training was perfect for me, Ed and Luke were both very professional with a good touch of humour thrown in, they explain everything very clearly and were also paitent if you didn't quite get it straight away, The afternoon session actually riding on the roads I felt completley confident and safe whilst under the supervison and instruction of Ed, very clear comunication and excellent instruction. Over all I had an absolute fantastic day and riding experience with Bike smart and I will hopfully be doing my DAS with them in the near future. 100% recomend and as I said will be going back, well done guys keep up the good work

Fantastic experience: I chose to do my DAS motorcycle test through Bike Smart on recommendation. Adrian was my instructor and I could not have asked for a better mentor for the 4 days of training and test. The way Adrian teaches is so easy and understandable, it is hard to get things wrong. His instructions are clear, and his method of teaching just really worked for me. I worked myself up on the day of the test, Adrian picked up on this right away, and brought me back down to earth again. I then went on to pass module 1 and 2 on my first attempt, and this is down to Adrian. He was just as happy about me passing as I was. I would thoroughly recommend Bike Smart for any form of training. Thank you once again!

Fantastic experience: I completed the DAS with BikeSmart in Aug 2023, from day 1 my instructor Luke was clear with his communication and the training. He put me through my paces and tested my abilities. Once I was up to speed, he increased the difficulty whilst still being supportive and patient. I would thoroughly recommend!

Fantastic experience: CBT REVIEW Me and my girlfriend Louise had an absolutely brilliant couple of days with John and Neil ‘trying’ to learn to ride motorcycles. We were both inexperienced and they were so patient and supportive….they are not a pay and display outfit….!! They REALLY do care about teaching you how to take to the road ‘SAFELY’! PARENTS IF YOU ARE PAYING FOR YOUR KIDS TO TAKE A CBT …. PLEASE, PLEASE, use these guys…: they really do care. REALLY VERY SINCERE & HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !! Whilst I was there, some chap called Kane thought it would be acceptable to turn up half an hour late … and rang to say he was going to be late. This is not what this outfit is about. So if you see a post by him accusing them of being rude, pls ignore. Narcissistic behaviour… bet you have to Google that Kane … you’re an embarrassment to teenagers. P.s - John is amazing … but he does ‘waffle’ a bit. Love you John X Absolute 10 out of 10 really looked after us. A1 team!!

Fantastic experience: I've just passed my CBT with Adrian as our instructor, and from the begining you could see how experienced he is. In the morning, I turned up shy and quiet as a church mouse, and by the end of the day of training I was confidently flying, almost like a missile, through the twisty roads of Haywards Heath. Am thinking of completing full DAS training with them, as Adrian thoroughly explained requirements to successfully complete the course. Bike smart.

Fantastic experience: Did my DAS training here after doing the CBT about 6 months previously. Would totally recommend. The bikes are in great nick and maintained well, I did my DAS on the Suzuki SV650 - the perfect bike and great to ride. The instructors are great; good balance between friendliness and professionalism, and I felt like the training was spot on for what I needed, 1 to 1 for the first day, and never more than 2 to 1. I was made fully prepared for both Mod 1 and Mod 2, doing lots of manouvers and hours of on road training covering all potential test routes. Great stuff, thanks guys, and big shout to Luke and his jumbo mass of dreadlocks for helping me get my full licence. See you on the road! Cheers, Andy

Fantastic experience: Having passed the CBT in Sept. 22 (great training from John & Neil) and having ridden a 125 for about 650 km since then, I felt it was time to take the next step, so I booked the DAS training in April 23. Adrian was the instructor who took me through everything I needed to know, gradually building my confidence, recognising and patiently helping me to overcome some of my fears (emergency stop with the front brake is counter-intuitive!). He provided plenty of practice sessions/road-mileage, giving guidance & advice with a nice sense of humour along the way :-) In the event I failed the Module 1 test, but that was absolutely my own fault - I put my foot down during the figure-of-eight! (Probably forgot to keep the revs or 'wings' up in the 'heat of the moment'). The training is superb and I now have a much better idea of what is expected; I know what I need to practice - so that's the next step, continue to ride my 125 and practice those slow speed manoeuvres, emergency stops and riding skills whenever I ride out - I would like them to become second-nature. Then, who knows, maybe try again at some point in the future :-) Thanks again Adrian, great training :-)

Fantastic experience: Done my DAS training here in October with Amanda who was absolutely amazing. I turned up to the first day without my driving licence so had to go back home to London and come back however this is not BikeSmart's fault, this is mine entirely for being dopey in the morning and forgetting my purse! Amanda's teaching was wonderful, amazing, calm and she knows how to make an anxious rider who forever beats themselves up for silly mistakes feel better. She makes jokes and keeps it light hearted so it doesn't feel like learning or stressful but that you are just going out for a ride in the local area with fellow bikers, which made it even more of an enjoyable and fun time. We even went to Arundel and to Whiteways Cafe which for me was such a joy as I've always attended this biker cafe as a pillion. Where I made mistakes, we worked on it and I felt comfortable to speak about my anxieties where I was getting annoyed with myself for making silly mistakes. I learnt to find even more joy in riding than I ever thought I'd feel and I put this down to Amanda and her wonderful ways of teaching. I also would like to credit Luke for his support in me getting my tests done on the days Amanda wasn't working; Luke was a fun contrast to Amanda and it was refreshing to ride with someone else. Luke had absolute faith in me and this made me feel even more confident. Amanda + Luke : Without you two and your kind hearts, I wouldn't have enjoyed a few lovely weeks of riding before tucking my new bike away for the winter and for this I thank you so much; you will never know how much I appreciate you guys for all your efforts and support. It means so much that you listened, cared and supported me through this goal especially with my disability which at times hindered me. I will ride down to see you in the summer as I miss the roads you took me on and want to say hi! Most importantly, I want to thank you for believing in me when I didn't believe in myself and for pushing me when I needed it. Fantastic experience: Great place to learn to ride a motorbike! I did my CBT there yesterday and it was a great experience! All the staff were extremely friendly and explained everything really well. They were patient, funny and friendly. Would definitely recommend doing your CBT there!

Positive experience: 5 Stars for the tutors, Neil and Amanda. What was impressive is that they must be delivering that course day in day out, but far from just going through the motions, they showed real enthusiasm and genuine care to get us through the course - real professionals. My only suggestion is related to the training facility, which is tired and not particularly welcoming. The teaching resources available to the tutors are basic. I think training dvd's which the tutors can start stop or electronic whiteboards would make a big difference to teaching, for example, positioning on roundabouts etc - especially if they are teaching learners whose first language is not English, as was the case on my course.

Fantastic experience: Thoroughly enjoyed the day, all the staff were very friendly and took the time to make sure every person learned individually to make them feel more comfortable on the bike. We then went for a two-hour drive on the road in small groups with an instructor. My instructor was Amanda, she was amazing, so patient and friendly and very good at teaching in a way that was reassuring which really helps if you had never ridden a bike before. I would extremely recommend going here for any type of bike test whether you have experience or not. I had a great time and am super thankful to Amanda and all the team for everything they have taught me! Ian

Negative experience: Done my cbt here last week and started off as a newbie but progressed very well I thought Was told I needed more training before going out onto road , which I can accept but the part I feel cheated on is we sat for 45mins in the morning because both instructors didn't carry their paper licence with them( they were also bieng monitored by dvla this day) when riding can't hear a thing instructor says over bike and helmet , Then we packed up and were back by 2pm . If I needed more training the least I would expect is more training on that day up to the time I would be spending if I done a road ride? So overall probably missed 4 hours of time I could have used getting more comfortable on a bike for when I do my next cbt . So overall feel like it was just a money grab day 150 quid for 5 hours total training to drive around cones and not get road experience is awful :(

Fantastic experience: Done my DAS course here with Amanda in Sept 2022 great 4 days Riding I found Amanda's attitude towards training was great and not to penalise your riding ability but just to correct it when needed . Over the 4 days most time was spent on the bike 6 hours plus with a few breaks in between for drinks food ect. I found the way Amanda teaches explains and shows you is great I would 100% recommend bike smart for DAS or CBT . the training is run out of a working bike garage aswell with all the facilities needed coudnt ask for much more . Overall a great four days can't thank Amanda enought passed both mods first time top instructor. We even managed to squeeze a ride to arundel stop by the cafe and see the bike meet The bikes you do DAS on are sv650 comfy low and easy to ride .

Fantastic experience: I came to bike smart to do my CBT on an automatic as a beginner rider and got supported all the way through Recently I went back to do a gears up course to get to grips with a manual bike and I can honestly say the support I got was phenomenal, the instructors are very knowledgeable and professional. Being a female rider is difficult due to the sizes with equipment and bikes but at bike smart they have something for everyone! Will be going back very soon to get my Full license!!! Seriously recommend Bike smart to anyone looking to become a rider!

Fantastic experience: Just finished my CBT with bike smart in the Scorching heat. They were great instructors and very considerate in allocating time for water breaks and use of there facilities. Had a blast! Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: I went first time for CBT course, unfortunately at end have been told my riding skills was not enough good to ride outside at end of the course. How did I feel about this course which I never did before and never rode before? Some instructors were not very polite and friendly . I didn’t feel very comfortable and the atmosphere I think was not good, because after I’ve been told that I did overtake another bike which I did not, I turn right into another lane . Things like this has not been explained properly by instructor and should be more clear that riders have to stay in same lane/ position lanes of five lanes and follow it .Be honest after this I was just stressed because I saw that instructor was looking at me all the time and looking for anything to take me out of this course. When I was trying to say anything, like my concerns or feelings to instructors ( not everybody, just two of them , one with dreadlocks hair and another one , unfortunately don’t remember names now ), they were like they don’t care , they both were like they were reading a book to you instructions . If I book a CBT course again, it will definitely not be in this centre. Also when the website says it is not a test it's a course, it’s not right actually, certificate is not guaranteed and you will have to pay another fee and etc , so if you think that you will go there and do everything and then expect to get a certificate, then the answer is no ! If instructors decide you’re not good enough, you will be sent home with nothing and pay another fee if you rebook again. It is also disgraceful that the instructor stated in a report that I was laughing during a class and didn’t respect the class , which was not true ! I pay attention to every single word that the instructor said and took every word of advice seriously. I personally think that the instructor with dreadlocks didn't like me( don’t know why, maybe because of my look). I was very happy that I am taking a CBT course and for the first time will ride a motorbike. Anyway, It’s not for nothing when the proverb says “the best defense is offense”. Good luck everyone.

Fantastic experience: Had my CBT with Luke there.Great staff, knowledgeable and very friendly team. The layout of course was very good.Luke knowledge of rules and dealing with people is great,speak very clear and concise when giving instructions,very humble gentleman.Will be coming back for my practical.

Any questions they are more than happy to answer and great tips for beginner riders. You should feel safe and confident doing your cbt here. Again awesome instructors, I had a great time. ✌️

Fantastic experience: I had my CBT training last Thursday me and a lady, I did it on a manual bike and it was one of the best experiences I had since a long time. Neil and Luke were my instructors that day . They’re very professional, friendly and they do everything to teach you the correct way and to make you confident and comfortable. Neil was very patient with me and taught me a lot same as Luke did. 5 stars for this guys. They also have a motorbike garage, take your bike there and they will take care of it. Thank you so much again guys, I will definitely be back for a full license in the near future.

Fantastic experience: I done my CBT, I had never ridden before. The instructors Ed and Luke were extremely friendly and patient. They were also funny and easy to joke with which is always good for nerves and helped me hugely. When it came to the Independent Driving towards the end of the training, Ed gave me constant feedback on how to improve my riding and gave me constant support when going over difficult situations in the road. I would 100% recommend anyone from any level from complete beginner to do your CBT here as I don’t have a single bad thing to say about my experience, Thank you Ed and Luke!

Fantastic experience: Over the last 2 weeks I did my CBT and DAS (3days and a test) with the guys at Bike smart, Ed and Luke were amazing to learn with for my CBT and Amanda was soooo good with the training getting me up to speed for my test. Can’t recommend these guys enough they were so helpful, patient and extremely kind. Especially Amanda!!!! They made something quite stressful very easy, I felt so confident by the end.
