Fantastic experience: Booked through CAMC, the tutor throws a sicky on the first day of the school holidays. Not told until we all arrived at 8.00am. We had all suffered loss from booking overnight stops at CAMC Brighton and others.. no reimbursement or apologies from either party other than the course fee - no attempt to rebook - shambles we are now going to a pro co.. alas at the course it is only 20mins driving the rest is watching others or sitting in a classroom.. i.e. little or no hands on - which let us face it is what one wants..

Fantastic experience: 10/10, would recommend. I took the four-hour towing familiarisation course with Chris, and it was absolutely fantastic. Chris is an excellent instructor and I feel so much more comfortable and confident towing my own horsebox now. Liz at the front desk was also a huge help -- great experience overall!

I had a 4 hour trailer towing lesson having never towed a trailer ever and by the end of the session I was manoeuvring confidently and went out on the road and drove confidently and safely. My instructor Chris was brilliant - patient, good humoured and really good at explaining things clearly - thanks Chris! Fantastic experience: Just completed PCV (Cat D) with Rod at Hills of Plumpton. Excellent tuition & vehicle. If your thinking of obtaining a vocational driving licence think no further than Hills. All formalities of arranging tests etc are taken care of for you, all left to do is turn up. All backed up by my first time pass with a clean sheet. Very much enjoyed my time with this very genuine family run business.

I really can't recommend them enough, the whole team from the mechanics to the instructors made me feel welcome, my instructor was Stuart (what a top bloke he is!) Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed my induction drive which gave me a good understand of what I was undertaking having never driven anything bigger than a car. Chris was very helpful and confidence inspiring. He never rushed me or made me feel I wasn’t picking up the training quickly enough. He said I would need 6 sessions including a test for my Class 2 license. Today I passed my test in the amount of time he stated and only got 4 minors. Over all very positive experience. I would recommend Hills to anyone. I also took my CPC with them. I will be back at Hills in the future as I would like to do HIAB and also Forklift training which are two of the many courses they offer.

Fantastic experience: Due to changing circumstances I made the decision to start a new career as a Class 1 Driver. In December 2021, I did start researching what was needed to get my C+E license. I did learn that there are 4 modules, and I did find it a little complex, so I listed 8 schools which I contacted both via email and via phone. To my surprise only Hills Driver Training gave me the necessary information in detail. So I called Liz and she explained everything I needed from the medical exam to get the entitlement to the theoretical exams (Module 1 and 2) and practical exams (Module 3 and 4). It was for the affection and attention that I chose Hills Driver Training to do my Class 1 C+E Artic Course. I had an induction driving class with instructor Rodney, and then I had 8 driving classes with instructor Stuart (Very nice guy). After the driving classes, I did take the practical exams and passed on the first try. I am very happy with the result and I highly recommend Hills Driver Training.

Fantastic experience: Originally we went through what we thought was a real and famous HGV training centre and were forced to pay a lot of money up front with no refunds, only to find they were just an agency who really cheated us. We were then recommended to Hills who from the first call were very pleasant and helpful and managed to get us through the Class C Rigid course at a very reasonable price and very quickly. Their Instructors were very helpful and informative and got us through the exams with ease. I cannot recommend Hills highly enough for everything they did for us and hope that others will not be caught out by fake centres.

Kept us focused all of the way through, got the message across very well. The consummate professional. Fantastic experience: Hills sorted my out with my B+E. Total trailer novice so had 3 mornings and my test. Liz was great with all the bookings, good comms and nothing to much trouble. Carl my instructor was great, made me feel at ease and coached me to realise what I was going wrong so I could self-correct. Not once did he bash my confidence even when I repeatedly mucked up the reversing, Was patient and gave constructive feedback. Friendly bunch, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. I used them early may 2021.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommed Hills of Plumpton enough! As a requirement for my new job with the ambulance service, I needed to obtain my LGV C1 licence which isn’t the clearest or most simplest thing to get. Liz who is super speedy with her emails clearly explained to me exactly what I needed to do. As I was working full time I was unable to do any lessons during the week, however, this wasn’t a problem for them and they happily offered weekends that worked best for me. Unfortunately after my first lesson lockdown had started but both Liz and Rod reassured me that they would be there as soon as I needed them. Once joining the ambulance service the pressure was on to obtain my LGV C1 licence to be able to move onto my blue light training. After a major battle to get a test date and a quick email to Liz, my lessons were booked in. I had a fantastic experience learning to drive a large vehicle with Rod who was brilliant at putting me at ease at such a stressful time. Rod prepared me thoroughly for my test, with his experience he knows exactly what the examiner will expect and with this guidance I passed first time!!! I’m so grateful for the team who prioritised me at every stage especially with making sure the vechile was deep cleaned every day. I thoroughly recommend this family run business to any key workers needing their driving lessons in a hurry, they are lovely and will support you all the way!

Fantastic experience: Very good driver training. Looked around and whet with hills after many others recommend them. They are responsibly priced and after the first assesment drive they give a realistic number of hours training they recommend. I had ray who was a very kind and experienced driver who I highly recommend. Passed first time for my C1 category .

Fantastic experience: Highly professional training centre. Trained with them for my class 2 hgv and class 1 artic hgv tests, passed both tests and very happy.... but more importantly the driving style and advice from Rod Hills himself and Stuart were second to none! Worth the money to get proper training

Positive experience: So far so good. I like the relaxed professionalism that they project. It was my first time behind the wheel of a bus and David, the instructor, hadn't had a coronary by the time the lesson ended. Truly a brave soul.

Negative experience: Went here for a assment drive was told i need at least 16 hours as i am no where near ready for my test, Went to another company had 4 hours and my test. passed with 1 minor. The Bus they have wants scrapping, absolutley awful. Seems like their only concern is getting your money. Avoid!

Fantastic experience: Excellent Driving School, i had Rod as my instructor, he took me through my trailer test. Incredibly thorough and knew what he was doing. If you are after a competitive price driving school with years of experience book with hills. on the plus side i passed 1st time.

Negative experience: At the end of my assessment session this guy told me while he was chatting to his father: "you need much more experience don't do the course" and that "do you understand what I'm saying to you when we did the reversing?" . Unhelpful, discouraging and condescending.

Negative experience: Don't waist your time with these guys. They still owe my money. Scrap bus and poor training instructors. I went with other company and passed my test at first time after two days training. These guys taken my £2000.
