Fantastic experience: Add the best experience, great training with brilliant guys. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT yesterday with Tony and had such a great day! You first spend about 3 hours in the car park - safety advice about what to wear, components of the bike, then you get to have a go on various manouvres. Into the "classroom" for some highway code and road safety advice before heading out onto local roads with an ear piece so the instructor can talk to you throughout. The bike was great. Well maintained and once explained, simple to use and forgiving on mistakes!

Negative experience: Attended cbt, didn’t teach me how the change gears, turn, how to use clutch or brakes. When I asked questions, answers were very limited. Felt like they just want to get me to redo cbt instead of teaching me. Took me to the road and it was hectic as I didn’t know how to properly use the bike. I don’t recommend.

Fantastic experience: Completed my Mod2 after a very delayed time with other commitments, however Stef and Slim are top notch instructors I would highly recommend Cardiff Motorcycle School, located on Hadfield Road, Cardiff. I completed my CBT back 2023 then finally my Mod2 this week with a first time pass, I was very nervous on my first day of training with Stef on Saturday but he gives great information and training to digest over the weekend, Then on the Monday I was still a bit edgy in the morning of the test, but slim has a way of putting your nerves at ease. Fantastic instructors. Thank you both I will see you in the New year for the advanced riders course.

Fantastic experience: Very professional and the best training you could ask for. I passed both mod 1 and mod 2 here without any problems. I do recommend you go here if you want the best training and advice on getting your motorcycle licence.

Fantastic experience: At 50yrs old and a 5ft female, I approached CMS to teach me to ride. First morning, I came off bike 3 times. But, instructors were supportive and approachable. Using skill and patience, they broke down the training I needed into steps I could manage; balance, awareness, safety, braking, gears etc. this provided me confidence. I am happy I passed CBT with them and look forwards to returning to complete my DAS after practicing on my 125cc bike. I highly recommend CMS to anyone wanting to learn to ride a bike, even if you are quite nervous! Thank you, CMS.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank the instructors for their patience and encouragement throughout my time practicing. I really struggled with the confidence to pass MOD 2 and failed a few times but they all reassured me and persisted with me till I passed. A special thanks to the legend Tony who took the time to explain my mistakes over and over and guided me through improving. My experience has been incredibly positive throughout and I would recommend this school to anyone looking to get riding.

Fantastic experience: It was excellent meeting with Stef and Simon who are extremely knowledgeable and patient. I contacted them for a back to biking course and completed it today. They were both personable and happy to speak about anything including helping me go through general maintenance that I could do myself. I’ll be booking my enhanced riding course with them in the future.

Fantastic experience: Having had no previous experience on anything other than a 125 for a day to complete my CBT in November 2023, I decided to finally go for my full license after over a decade of putting it off. I started my MOD 1 training on the 26th May 2024 and have now obtained my full license thanks to Tony at Cardiff Motorcycle School. Tony is a fantastic instructor, with a calm, patient and friendly approach. The way in which he explains how to ride as you ride, with verbal cues and positivity really makes what can be a daunting experience to novices like me a real pleasure. I can't speak highly enough of his guidance and humour throughout the MOD 1 and 2 courses. I'd also like to thank Slim, who took 1 of my MOD 1 training days instead of Tony. Like Tony, Slim made the whole experience a pleasure, with encouragement and humour. Thank you both very much

Fantastic experience: I had my CBT today with Slim as my instructor. Having never ridden a bike before I was unsure of what to expect, but any nerves I had were quickly dismissed as Slim talked us through what to expect for the day. After that we got stuck in and the whole thing flowed smoothly. The instructions were clear and direct with a good explanation of how to & why for. Within a few hours I felt more knowledgeable and confident on the bike so we went out in to traffic. The 2 routes chosen gave a mix of traffic conditions & served to boost my confidence. Over all a great day and a fantastic experience. If you are considering doing your CBT, you can't go wrong with Cardiff Motorcycle School.

Fantastic experience: Recently completed my CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2 with Cardiff Motorcycle School. Failed Mod 1 the first time but persevered thanks to the encouragement and tuition from Slim and the other instructors (Stef and Tony).Thanks in particular to Slim who did all of my lessons and for answering all of my annoying questions! Really great admin and communication too for arranging lessons and tests around work. Thanks all, looking forward to getting out on my bike!

Fantastic experience: just passed my CBT with Tony. It was a really good enjoyable day. I’m very grateful to Tony for being very patient and making the whole experience really fun. I left wanting to get out on the road asap to practice my new skills. We need more female bikers so any women that are looking into riding- I highly recommend it!! Will probably come back to train for my full motorcycle license in the future!

Fantastic experience: I have just finished a brilliant experience with Cardiff Motorcycle school. I started in January by doing my CBT with Slim. I had no prior experience on a bike other than a scrambler in a farmers field at the age of 16. Slim took me from zero experience whatsoever in January to a pass on my mod 2 by the end of April. I didn't have a bike to ride between my training days with them so my pass is genuinely 100 percent all down to what slim did with me on the training days. He was an absolute legend throughout and I genuinely couldn't have done it without his patience, cutting wit and regular tellings off! Tony was also a brilliant instructor who took me down to Newport on the day of my Mod 1. A calming influence just before we went onto the yard he was the perfect man for the job on that day. Thank you so much chaps, you are genuinely brilliant blokes and great teachers!

Fantastic experience: The instructors here are fantastic came here for my A2 licence training and my A licence training and I've passed them both with Clean sheets all the knowledge and skills these guys have taught me has not been forgotten even though there was a 2 year gap. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Did my Mod 1 and Mod 2 training and test with Cardiff Motorcycle School. Training was excellent and they arranged both tests for me with a really short turn around. They have great local knowledge too, and happy to share with the learners. Can't fault them at all and will seriously consider doing enhanced rider with them.

Fantastic experience: Completed both mod 1 and mod 2 with these guys. Did both training with slim and he has an excellent way of teaching and he reassures you all the way through. Steph took me to do my mod 1 in Newport and again has a amazing knowledge of what is required for you to pass. I had slim for my mod 2 training and test and is a truly nice guy and knows what they look for on test and I was a wreck of nerves whilst sat in test centre and he kept reassuring me to ride like I have in training and every thing will be OK. To top it all off I passed yesterday afternoon with flying colours thank you so much slim I'm still on cloud nine and I did take the zzr out for a little run when I got home and didn't wanna get off. Fantastic experience: Great place to do CBT. Trained with Slim, who has a wealth of knowledge, is calm and reassuring and teaches you just not what you need to know but what you want to know to have a successful biking future. As a short female rider learned loads in terms of best bikes and riding style. Thanks for all your encouragement to get me through!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic training! Had many years experience off road under my belt, But I wouldn't of passed my test on road without the help of Stephen and the boys. Being comfortable on a bike doesn't make you safe on the road. Worth every penny.

Very well educated and they know their stuff and will correct you instantly and make you a safer, more efficient rider! Fantastic experience: I have recently done my CBT/MOD1 an MOD2 training with Stefan Tony and Slim and have to say what a great bunch of guys to do your training with, friendly professional and knowledgeable about their training, clear and precise and are 100% there to help you get up to standard in your training, I did fail my MOD1 first time around (my own fault an mistake) but flew my second go and am over the moon to say just passed my MOD2 with 3 minors happy days, thanks to all of you at Cardiff Motorcycle School it’s been a pleasure Vincent Davies

Fantastic experience: From no experience to my mod 2. Tuesday cbt. Wednesday mod1 training. Thursday mod1 test. Saturday & Monday mod 2 training and test. Bikes riden.. cbt were yamaha 125.. Mod 1 & 2 were suzuki gladius sv650.. Tony is patient and persistent. Not afraid to push you through your paces and definitely not shy when telling you your mistakes and trust me when I say this guy sees everything. Day of mod 1 test I had a different instructor "stefan" again this guy is on the ball. Eyes in the back of his head and is constantly encouraging you. Praising when your right and quick to point out your mistakes. When I got to test centre I went to sh!t but Stefan was relaxed and reassured me calming my nerves with banter. 3 Learner riders went down that morning and all 3 passed. Mod 2 training was again with toni and test day was Slim. 3 amazing riders with a great skill set. Being from newport i have a good choice of motorcycle schools but i wanted recommendations and suggestion after suggestion was cardiff motorcycle school. All in all this was the best choice of motorcycle school I could have gone with. Thank you so much for the time and effort you guys have put into me over the 5 of days of riding highly recommended for complete beginners

Fantastic experience: Thank you to my instructors for their calm patience - this along with first class instruction from them, saw me pass my Mod1 and Mod2 first time and within 3 weeks of each other! Fantastic experience: Cardiff Motorcycle School is beyond amazing, went from no motorcycle experience at all, doing my Theory test in June, completing CBT, Mod 1, and finally passing my A2 licence Mod 2 on the 24th of October. I can’t recommend this school enough, Slim, Tony and Stefan are great guys, and amazing instructors. 100% coming back to them when I’m ready for my Full A Licence upgrade :) Now, with my own bike and riding alone with the knowledge they’ve given me, all I can say is… Thank you CMS!

Fantastic experience: Really positive experience doing CBT, Mod and Mod 2 with CMS. The office always called back if they couldn't take a call, the bikes were always ready to go for the training and the 3 instructors knowledgeable and friendly. Great experience and I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic motorcycle school. Stefan has the patience of a saint and did a great job of calming my nerves for my mod1. I was still a bit nervous but that's down to the pressure I put on myself plus the fact I've already bought my Ninja 650 and I can't ride it until I've done mod2! I also learned quite a bit on mod2 riding from Stefan on the ride to the test centre and I looking forward to going back in a few weeks for the mod2 training. I can't recommend these guys enough!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend enough! I truly cannot put into words how grateful I am to have gotten my CBT on a manual first time with the most amazing and most patient instructors. Having no experience on a motorcycle at all and being the only female I was absolutely trembling with nerves. Tony made sure I was okay and comfortable to continue every step of the way with no pressure at all - no amount of questions was ever too much. Training was completely relaxed and fun with lots of laughs throughout. Made some lovely friends on the course and will 1000% be doing the rest of my license with these guys. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: What a truly wonderful team of very experienced instructors. Having never ridden a motorbike to completing my CBT, then passing both Mod 1 & 2, these guys where amazing. Training is relaxed, tailored and fun without compromising on every detail of safe riding. If you want to learn properly, Just go to these guys. Negative experience: Did my CBT here as a first time rider didn't find it very informative. The instructor rushed through alot of things and I felt like we where being rushed through things. I watched some videos online about CBTs where there was class room based learning and then sessions on the bikes this was nothing like that all done very quickly in a carpark next to a football centre in the carpark with the instructor reading off a book out the back of his bike was then left sitting around left to do nothing for 2 hours while the instructor took 2 riders out then took us out later in the afternoon. this time could of been spent in a classroom with another instructor learning more rather than sitting around for 2 hours after having just paid £160. Overall I was very nervous on the road and nearly had 1 or 2 accidents but the instructor was patient with me at this point and it did give me more confidence towards then end of the 2 hours on the road and I did pass my CBT but I don't feel very confident or safe on the road after doing this and would probably look to book my CBT somewhere else in the future and will definitely be looking for a bit more training or additional help from somewhere before I feel I can go out on the road just yet.

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t have chosen a better bunch to train with, it’s not just about passing the tests (which I eventually did) it’s also about keeping safe on the roads. I thought I was an alright rider when I started my cbt but quickly learned I needed some serious polishing. The guys at CMS broke that down and rebuilt the way I ride and approach certain situation on the road in a constructive manner. Their is nothing the three of these blokes don’t know about riding, maintenance, and rules of motorcycling in the uk, and if they don’t it’s probably not worth knowing. Absolutely loved my experience with these guys, no dbout in my mind if I had to do it all again train with CMS again. Gotta go I’m off to Brecon

Cannot praise these guys enough for their professionalism and amazing attitude towards getting you ready and through every stage of getting your licence. Fantastic experience: Fantastic training.Had to wait until nearly 60 to fulfill my dream.The guys at Cardiff,especially Tony that taught me were outstanding.Very patient,and informative .Made me feel at ease considering my nervous nature.Passed my mod 1 and 2 first time,to my surprise.Cant recommend them high enough.Looking forward to catching up on the life I've missed.

Fantastic experience: Passed my MOD 2 thanks to these guys on Monday - superb tuition from Slim who made the whole experience really fun and kept our nerves at bay thanks to his down to earth approach. Easily the best training I’ve received across CBT, MOD1 and MOD2, and they train you to pass well and not just pass! Couldn’t recommend more.

Fantastic experience: When looking for a riding school back in March, not many schools picked up or called back. Stefan however, had the courtesy to talk me through the whole process over the phone, answering all my questions with patience till I'd got the full picture. CBT was with Slim on the 125s, he trained us well how to ride a 125 on the road and through the test course. Mod 1 a month later with Tony on the 650s. Calm instructions and a light hearted approach helped with nerves about riding an 80hp machine. Next day, we rode the bikes down to the test centre in Newport with Stephan 07:00, he gave us extra training on the way before the test. I passed Mod 1 and Stefan continued to coach us as we rode back to Cardiff. Stefan didn't need to do that, we hadn't yet paid for Mod 2 training. All these teachers are good, you learn without getting up tight. Someone had dropped out of a mod 2 booking, so lucky for me a few days later it was mod 2 training with Slim over the Saturday pm and Monday morning before the test. We gradually worked through correcting errors and by the test I felt ready. Despite having several major brain farts in the test, I passed. Slim was genuinely stoked I had passed! On the ride back we hit the motorway for a blast up to 70! My life as a biker had begun. Thanks guys, you're doing something that brings a lot of joy to people's lives.

Fantastic experience: never riden a motorbike before, did my cbt, VERY good teacher

Negative experience: Don’t bother guys they’re so busy this days even can’t speak to you they never answer the phone not ether goes to answer machine. I went twice to their office says no one there. I left my phone number they’re even bothered to call back.

Fantastic experience: They got me through the CBT, Mod1 and Mod2 this week with very little prior experience on a bike (moped 14 years ago). They have a great bunch of guys instructing, good equipment and facilities, and I'm pleased to say I passed it all first time. Thanks again.

Fantastic experience: Having begun my motorcycle training in the summer of 2020, i passed my CBT and wanted to progress through to a full licence. Cardiff Motorcycle School are the third company I have used locally, and by far have been the most professional and accurate in their method of delivering the right training for the individual new rider. I had my own niche of problems and the staff were able to highlight and remedy these for me, as now I am the owner of a full motorcycle license. I have decided to join them again in the future for further advanced training, to be honest why would I go elsewhere. Thankyou and keep up the good work. James.

Fantastic experience: Hi everyone I done my mod1 and mod 2 training and passed both tests with Cardiff motorcycle school i would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for any type of motorcycle training they are an absolutely great bunch never made me feel uncomfortable always having a laugh which made my experience brilliant thanks very much cardiff motorcycle school

Fantastic experience: Absolutely excellent.  I gained my CBT just over a week ago. I was incredibly nervous, never having properly rode a motorbike before. I was immediately put at ease, although the safety aspects were a little scary! But even though I didn't feel confident enough to ride a geared bike on the day, and opted for an automatic, my instructor took the time to clarify what I would be doing on a geared bike during our rides, and even took the time out before the course to let me have a go changing gears off road. He was a wealth of knowledge, and now I'm practicing on a 125cc geared bike, some of the tips are invaluable. Looking forward to being confident enough to start my full licence! Just wanted to update 3 months later. I'm a fully confident riding a geared bike, the advice I got was amazing, and the transition was almost seamless. Going to go for a proper licence with these guys.

Fantastic experience: Great instructers; Steph, Tony and Slim. Tell/show you what you need to pass, not massage your ego. Thought I was good enough to pass without the extra practice, thank god I went with CMS. Loads of bad habits in my riding that would have failed me in my mod 2 straight away. Cant recommend enough, top set of guys who genuinely want you to pass. Ended up passing with no minors, never would have achieved that without the extra tuition and knowledge. Cheers guys and see you out on the road!

Fantastic experience: what a great bunch of guys here stef, tony and slim, all three are very knowledgeable in all areas of the motorcycle world, from CBT through to MOD2 they have so much patients and nothing is to much trouble for them. i would like to thank all three for their help and would highly recommend their training skills no matter what level you think you are, i have become far more observant both on the bike and in my car all thanks to these guys
