Angel Motorcycle Training

Fantastic experience: I undertook the CBT as a complete beginner with Angel Motorcycle Training. The day was organised well from start to finish, and the trainers made you feel welcome and at ease throughout the whole process. We had to rearrange the 2hr road driving due to storm weather with high winds, but I only saw this as a positive that our safety was prioritised. I booked back in for the road driving with Michael in the next week, and completed the CBT in full. I really enjoyed the whole experience, nothing felt rushed and I was given excellent support and advice during the road driving. A big thank you to Michael and the team at Angel!

Fantastic experience: I’d say this place is 1000% the best school to choose up in the north east. Especially for females if there ante any nervous women out there that want to do their bike training. But you are scared or have went to a previous school and had a really bad experience I deffo recommend angels. Despite getting off to a bumpy start by the end of the day I had gained my confidence on the road ride and thoroughly enjoyed it, they were very patient and gave me the help I needed. Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend and thank Angel Motorcycle Training enough. I’ve gained my full unrestricted bike licence this morning. From Bev who deals with the admin side to Lisa and Keith the instructor for Mod 1&2 training, Michael and Julie who helped me through my CBT. And all the others in the background keeping the bikes in tip top condition. I’ve wanted to learn to ride for over 35 years and today I completed that goal! These guy are the best! They are passionate about what they do and this makes a difference. The training is explained in full detail and they make sure you understand everything. And if you don’t they are patient enough to walk you through it again. I would not have been able to do this without this fantastic company and all the people there. I’ve made some amazing friends while training here.

Fantastic experience: I recently completed my DAS course with Angel Motorcycle Training and now have my full licence. Arranging lessons was smooth and always got a courtesy reminder, the instructors (Lisa and Keith) were both really clear in how they taught the skills I needed and with a relaxed, friendly manner. The bikes I learned on were new and easy to handle. I would recommend Angel to anyone looking for motorcycle lessons in the North East. I bought my new bike 1 day after passing my test and felt totally confident being out on my own after the way I’d been taught to ride.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely superb service. My instructor was Paul, and prior to this I spoke with Keith regarding some individual learning requirements. From start to finish I felt supported by professional tutors who were not focused on revenue but instead had my safety at heart. Hugely recommended to anyone at any stage of their journey towards becoming a better and a safer rider. Look Paul, I left a whole review without once mentioning your terrible jokes or blooming awful singing. To end on a serious note though, I don't know of anyone else out there with such a demonstrable commitment to rider safety. Thank you all.

Fantastic experience: After a horrible experience at A1, Angel really stood by its name and helped me regain my confidence. They have lowered bikes (as all schools should!) as well as plenty of tiny scooters to get started. All the instructors are lovely and make you feel welcome. Got my CBT with Michael and he was fantastic. Honestly, if you are anything other than a cis white straight tall English man, you need to choose your motorbike training school very wisely and I'm telling you: choose Angel! I'll definitely be back in January to get my full license.

Fantastic experience: Had my CBT today with Graeme at angel motorcycle training , was a fantastic day , had been a long time since i was last on a bike and he brought my confidence back to gain my cbt , now on to DAS for the bigger bikes , thank you very much to graeme and the team at angel.

Negative experience: Been just over a year since I done my direct access with these and although the owner is a canny bloke and most of the instructors are friendly enough, the place is run like a clown show Firstly and probably the worst thing was the bike, I was put on a 25+ year old fazer 600 with 70k miles on the clock and a badly slipping clutch. The clutch was slipping worse and worse with each lesson, the last couple lessons it was near unrideable. I told them about it plenty of times but nothing was done. I specifically asked to use a different bike for my test which they did and unlucky for me the other bike had an indicator fail on the way to the test had to race back to the unit and swap for the bike with the slipping clutch. Mid test trying to merge onto the a1 with the bike not accelerating past 1/4 throttle because of the clutch was lairy and totally dangerous to be honest. All of the bikes were in a sorry state, hope they got rid of them and got some better ones now. Next point was the fact that the mod 1 lessons were done in the loading yard round the back of the 24 hour storage building where their office was. We actually had to stop the lessons and move the cones a couple of times while wagons came in and out the yard to load. Ground had gravel on it and cambers and was generally just a ridiculous place to do bike lessons. And finally they had a lot of trouble keeping track of the diary and when they were supposed to book lessons in. I lost a few lessons from them simply not putting a lesson in the diary when I’d booked one and they booked me in for one when they were away on holiday, was generally frustrating trying to do consistent lessons. The fact they were still charging the going rate of £70 a lesson was shocking and if I had sense I would of switched to a different school but I just wanted to get through it all as quickly as possible and couldn’t be bothered to re start with another school, luckily it only took a couple of months and I did find a lot of it amusing at the time to be honest but realistically it was bad hence the review

Fantastic experience: I joined Keith and Lisa late on in my journey to my MOD2 due to my old school closing but they were fantastic and couldn’t recommend them more highly!

Fantastic experience: I did my cbt recently with Graeme and Ian. And what a cracking pair they are! I had a great day! I was pretty nervous at first like many, but both Graeme and Ian made me feel relaxed, I’m very critical of myself and when things weren’t going the way I wanted Graeme was there to keep my confidence up and to stop beating myself up. Ian took me out on the roads and again keeping me relaxed and enjoy the ride. Which is what I did and that’s what it’s about! I will be back to do my DAS with Angel motorcycle training. If anyone is thinking of doing their cbt these are your guys! One more thing to add, , I did my cbt many years ago with another training school and I have to say Angel motorcycle is where it’s at!

Fantastic experience: Started my DAS course with the team at Angel just over a month ago and Keith and Lisa got me through both Mod 1 and 2 on the first attempts. The whole team at Angel make everything easy to understand and will tailor the experience to the individual. A big shout out too to Bev for always being able to fit me in From CBT all the way to DAS and beyond, look no further than Angel.

Fantastic experience: I start my motorcycle training on the 27th of July doin a CBT course with instructors Michael and Paul, it was a good day. Having a 125cc motorcycle wasn't for me, so I started taking MOD 1 lessons with instructor Lisa, had 2 lessons then I was put in for my test, which I past, thanks to Lisa. Then it was 5 MOD 2 lessons with Keith and 1 with Lisa. On the 22nd of October I had my test, passed it. Thanks to all these instructors for fantastic training. I’m a complete novice and was never at anytime made to feel like one, they were supportive and attentive and most importantly, really positive. Back in August for some lessons with Lisa in preparation for moving onto MOD 1 & 2. Can’t wait! EDIT- 30/10/24. A few months later and MOD1 and MOD2 are complete. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Fantastic experience: I contacted Angel to see if they could give me a one off refresher course as whilst I do have a full motorcycle licence I hadn`t ridden for 25 years. Keith was more than helpful and fitted me in the very next day. I had tried two other local training centres and they were either to busy to help of gave me a date a month later. Keith was very helpful, encouraging and reminded me of a few aspects that I had forgotten. This gave me the confidence to get back on a bike and take to the road. Fantastic experience: Had an enjoyable, informative and productive day on a CBT course with Keith and the team at Angel Motorcycle Training this week. I couldn't fault the experience from booking the course to receiving my certificate at the end of the day. The facilities are good, the tuition was friendly and supportive but professional. Thanks especially to my instructor for the day, Julie, who was brilliant. On the yard in the morning and crucially on the road ride in the afternoon she knew exactly what I was doing on the bike and what was going on around me at all times even when I didn't and gave good, consistent corrections and encouragement where needed. I came away with a good, thorough orientation and a clear idea of what I need to focus on to stay safe and progress as a rider. In our group there were 4 students to 1 instructor (in the yard). Having said that there were another 3 team members with us throughout the day who were great craic and really helpful. If you're based in the NE and are looking for motorbike training, give these guys a call.

Fantastic experience: Had a great time here, First thing, directions, incase you need it, it’s inside the storage facility, big door marked reception. That can be a little confusing. Everyone was really welcoming during my day for the CBT. I have never rode a geared motorcycle before that day. Only scooters abroad here and there. There were 4 of us per instructor. Outside you do lots of different manoeuvres, Paul was our instructor, he had a lot of patience and his way of teaching puts you right at ease straight away. Very friendly guy. At the end of the day it’s a 2 hour ride with the instructor behind giving you instruction via Bluetooth headset. Grand ride. Although at this stage if paul decides to sing to you there isn’t much you can about it ‍♂️. All joking aside, great guy, the team seems very close knit, felt safe and fully instructed the entire time. He gave me great feedback at the end of what is to be worked on. I would highly recommend this place for your CBT and above. Thanks again Paul and everyone else. Great day

Fantastic experience: I completed my CBT, MOD1 and MOD2 with Angel and passed all first time. Lisa, Michael and Kieth are the instructors who I dealt with and they where professional, understanding and great at their jobs. The bikes that you learn on are great and the booking process is simple and flexible.

Fantastic experience: I hadn't ridden a motorbike in 10 years but wanted to complete my CBT so I could start commuting to work. My instructor Paul was brilliant, very knowledgeable, patient and always explained things in a simple way so it's easy to understand. Don't let him know you're a cyclist though! Fantastic experience: I booked the premium package due to it being great value for money. First thing I had to go through the CBT course and was worried it’ll be boring since it’s a whole day. But how wrong was I! The day flew by and didn’t even believe it was over that quick! I had a great time and Paul was amazing, out going and delivered all information without boring us! I also liked that he spent extra time with those of us who needed more attention, while it was boring to wait around, I appreciated it as that attention was needed to make sure safer riders on the road. I would highly recommend this school to new riders as you can trust that you’ll be a safer rider on the road. I need to mention one thing though, make sure you have patience for Paul’s sense of humour, it hits you hard at first but you’ll quickly tune it out . Just kidding he’s great

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend Angel Motorcycle Training any higher. I’ve completed my CBT with Michael and going on to do my DAS training with Lisa. Both complete professionals, who you feel are putting your competence and safety above all else - all whilst ensuring the experience is fun and enjoyable! Not a single trick is missed here - they're all extremely knowledgeable and their feedback is comprehensive, constructive and actionable. I feel genuinely excited about my lessons and have gone from feeling slightly overwhelmed and a bit apprehensive about riding to slowly building my confidence and competence. It's all down to the quality of training and instruction at Angel. Thank you team, really glad I found you!

Fantastic experience: Recent completed my DAS with Angel motorcycles. What a course it was, not a dull lesson went by. They help to the end whether that be advice on the road, to a normal conversation in the office with all the staff. Overall a 10 out of 10 course. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: My day of training for my CBT was absolutely amazing. I am 52 and everyone at Angel Motorcycle Training has made me feel so welcome and given me huge amounts of confidence. I will definitely be going back when I am ready to do my DAS training. I would also recommend Angel Motorcycle Training to anyone who is looking to do motorcycle training. Fantastic experience: Just completed my 125cc manual cbt lesson with angel motorcycle training, had a fantastic day learning how to use a manual 125cc gained a huge amount of confidence. My instructor’s Micheal and Paul are great at their job, thankyou so much for fitting me in at short notice and I will definitely be going back to complete my A2 licence soon. Go book a lesson asap!!!

Fantastic experience: Really friendly, fun instructors (Michael and Paul). Made the day so relaxing and enjoyable, yet full of relevant and safety information needed to be able ride a motorcycle on public roads in a safe, correct manner, whilst understanding hazards, your surroundings and other road users.
