Fantastic experience: Excellent Service at Crescent Motorcycles I recently returned to motorcycling after a 13-year break, opting for an electric scooter for commuting. I enquired at Crescent Motorcycles, now a Yamaha dealer, about their electric options. Greg was incredibly helpful throughout the process. He arranged for me to test ride an electric Neos, which, while impressive, didn't quite meet my range requirements. Undeterred, Greg introduced me to the Yamaha Rayzr and put together a fantastic value package within my budget, including a helmet, jacket, heated grips, top box, and security devices. At no point did I feel pressured, and Greg was always readily available to answer my questions. The handover for my new Rayzr was thorough and informative. The scooter itself is perfect, and I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase. I highly recommend Crescent Motorcycles and especially commend Greg and his team for their excellent service.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I bought a new Yamaha RayZR from Steve Wood for her to commute on. We first met Steve a while back when passing by as I was vaguely looking at scooters - I bought a Vespa 300 eventually. However, Steve had made such a positive impression upon us that we went back to him, even though we live 60 miles away in Shoreham-by-Sea, to buy her RayZR. Steve is very likeable, he couldn't be more decent and accomodating, and his attention to detail and thorough approach to our purchase was exemplary. He became aware of an upcoming promotion reducing the price of the RayZR, after we had put a deposit down at the former slightly higher price, and when I popped in to pay the balance he had dropped the amount in line with the upcoming new price. I could not imagine finding a finer individual from whom to buy a bike. Many thanks Steve for all your excellent service and help.

Negative experience: I strongly considered buying Tracer 9 pro plus but only one visit in this dealer put me off. I asked if I could sit on it to check the seat height. I was told that I need to wait until they finish with other customer. Then no one bothered to come over. It looks like they have too many customers...

Fantastic experience: I bought a bike from these guys a few years ago and they have been so helpful since. Providing a fantastic knowledge base and support system for customers. I subsequently returned to purchase my partners bike and again they provided her with all the support a new rider could need as well as giving out tips and tricks to help on her riding journey. I had even popped in with a section of exhaust as I was swapping out and struggled to get the O2 sensor out of. The workshop team were able to release it for me for no more than a few tokens. They have always been able and willing to take a look at my bikes if I have concerns before coming up with repair plans if required and will do their best to give a loan bike to Get home. Although I have since moved to another bike I will take it nowhere else for any work that needs to be carried out. A great team and worth a visit for repairs or purchase!

Fantastic experience: Went in here today to simply get a tyre changed, the atmosphere is brilliant, lovely people who are passionate about what they do. I was really impressed and left very happy with a brilliant little Yamaha kids bike

Negative experience: Steve is utterly dishonest. I purchased a used motorcycle on the condition that a full valve service would be carried out before pickup. As expected, I was given the usual spiel about how experienced and meticulous the mechanic is, and was assured that the bike wouldn't leave the showroom unless it was perfect. On collection day Steve informed me that the valve service was carried out successfully. I requested the service invoice and was told I would receive this shortly. Cue two weeks of chasing and various excuses as to why I hadn't received the invoice yet. Upon inspection by a trusted mechanic, it was found that the oil was very low, and the oil filter appeared to match the one in the orignal listing photos. I requested the invoice in person but they were unable to produce one, nor any proof that the valve service was actually carried out. I overheard someone in the service department say that only labour hours were listed on the system (a part was installed as agreed), and that the experienced mechanic who was meant to carry out the service had "no recollection of working on the bike". At this point it was clear to everyone that the service had not been carried out, and that the Steve will say anything to get a bike out of the door. After discussion with the branch manager, they agreed to change the oil and filter while I waited, and to also book in the valve service which should have already been done. However, I was not reimbursed or compensated for the time and money I lost trying to get this issue resolved. Lastly, to add salt to the wound, when the valve service was eventually carried out, the bike was returned with a scratch on the frame. Aftersales did offer to inspect the damage in person but at this point I have lost all trust in them.

Fantastic experience: Up until a year ago, not the slightest interest in bike. I had been a cyclist since a kid. Fortunate to own some lovely bikes. But in August 2023 at the ripe old age of old ,I decided to buy a cb125f. CBT, full test passed, I looked seriously for a bike. I found it at Crescent . George was super to deal with, no pressure, no bull. Just answered all my questions over a week or so. I went from Cardiff to Southampton last week to pick it up. Saw Greg, George was off. Absolutely brilliant experience. Very friendly, very professional. Again all questions answered. Didn't even bother with a test ride. Fully confident. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Crescent. Superb.

Fantastic experience: To try find a fault on my Super Ténéré 1200 I placed it on centre stand and run some gears, that activated amber engine light. On way home by the end of the day just stopped at Crescent Motorcycles Bursledon and they just remove the warning light without charge. From front desk to the guys on workshop, fantastic friendly and professional staff. Thank you so much for the help.

Fantastic experience: I live in North Wales, but Crescent Yamaha Southampton have bailed me out on two separate occasions in June and August 2024. In June I was on my way to Spain when travelling down to the south coast I needed a new rear tyre on my Yamaha R1M. Crescent Yamaha ordered the tyre and fitted it the next day, so I could continue the tour. In August I was in France when the R1M, would not start. My well known European Break-down cover was next to useless, informing me that my R1M would not be inspected for 2 weeks!!! I phoned Crescent Yamaha and they said if you can get it here we will sort it. I hired a van and drove the R1M across France to Southampton. Within a few days Crescent Yamaha had found an intermittent fault with the generator/alternator and installed a new one. Plus I delivered the bike looking like it had been motor-Xing. When I collected it yesterday, it looked as brand-new!! A big thank you to member of staff - Paul (who also has an R1M of his own) - for his attention to detail in cleaning the R1M, and advice on improving the R1M - (not that it really needs it!!!). The customer service by Jim, George, Shaun and the Team at Crescent Yamaha Bursledon, Southampton, has been above and beyond going the extra mile. I rode the bike back to North Wales yesterday, and it rode brilliantly, better than I can ever remember. Thanks Gents - David L.

Fantastic experience: If you want an exceptional machine and service to match, then these are the guys. I bought a 2024 R1 and continue to go back for advice and aftermarket parts. Paul at Southampton in particular helped me set up the R1 with custom settings which made it a completely different bike!

Fantastic experience: Just had new clutch switch fitted to rectify fault on cruise control, sorted. While waiting, checked out the new and used bikes, all Just as clean and polished. Fantastic experience: Very pleased with their service. Tried their best to help and support me when there were issues borrowing a hire bike and spreading the payments of the service. Pete cleaned my bike beautifully and took his time to get it looking good again. Also were helpful when I was considering trading in my bike for a Harley Davidson Sportster 72. Negative experience: I had my motor cycle MOT carried out here, and an advisory was given on my front tyre being close to legal limit, So I ordered a new front tyre to be fitted on the following Week It was to be fitted on the following Wednesday at 14..00. I arrived early on the day and was told that the tyre had not yet arrived, I waited for 3/4 hr to then be told that the tyre would not be in on that day. However it would be in the next day and they would phone as soon as it arrived and it would be fitted as soon as I could get my bike to them. On the following day No phone call at all, it is now Friday and still I have heard nothing from them. Absolutely terrible service, I am now getting a tyre fitted else where, I will not be using Crescent in the future.

Fantastic experience: Amazing showroom, absolutely spotless and the biggest range of Yamaha motorcycle I have ever seen in one place. Staff are so friendly, I was buying a nearly new triumph and even then staffs knowledge was amazing. I have to say George never came across as a salesman, he's obviously a biker himself with massive passion for motorcycles. I will and would have absolutely no problems recommending George and this company to friends and other bikers when we stop for chats in summer. Negative experience: Tried to deliver MB to wrong address because staff member had lost my details. Staff member admitted this on the phone, then denied it in writing. Several other concerns not really given credit as I was a new rider. Generally disappointing unrepentant attitude, never going back.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday was the first time I visited the showroom since they took on the Yamaha brand. Today I put a deposit down for a new bike and am now looking forward to my new Tracer 7 GT in March. Steve is a seasoned bike salesman and helped to make the decision process, test ride and subsequent purchase a breeze.

Fantastic experience: Crescent gave me a better PX price than I had been offered for my old bike and I'm very pleased with my new (to me) motorcycle, I had a slight fault (that I actually caused when fitting an Optimate cable) which they investigated while I had a loan bike and fixed at no cost, I wish more dealers were like this

Positive experience: I ordered a rear seat bag and attachment kit. It wasn't something the dealer kept in stock but was available in the UK so they put the order in for me and arranged for delivery. There was no delivery confirmation and there was no communication from Crescent. After I called to check on the order, the staff apologised and offered a bit of Muc-off which was kind of them. A few more days passed and still no information so I call and find that my order has arrived. I pick it up in person instead of having it delivered. No muc-off freebie as promised but the team helped me attach the bag which was trickier than anticipated. Strangely, no instructions were provided with the bag or attachment kit. In-store experience is excellent, over-the-phone service and follow-up was not so good in this case.

Negative experience: Sold them a part and was delivered and falsely claimed did not get it you would think they could afford the 39.99 but clearly not is all rather unbecoming

Fantastic experience: My motorcycle would not go into gear. My more local independent workshop didn't really want to know. After a brief call, The motorcycle was therefore recovered to Crescent's. I was told up front 'we are busy but will endeavour to take a look'. What impressed me most was the level of customer service. Very polite. The fault was found and I was contacted and informed of the cost.

Fantastic experience: A few months back I bought a used XSR from Crescent. I injured my hand a few days before I was due to collect it and was unable to ride it home. Justin kindly arranged delivery to my house a few days later. The bike recently developed a minor mechanical issue. I called the service team who managed to book me in on the day I requested. Once they had assessed the bike (while I waited) I was told some parts were required and they were going to do it under their used bike warranty. The service received was very quick and the service team were extremely helpful. Dom (service) explained the fault and said they would be in touch as soon the parts were available. I would like to thank everyone for their kind help and prompt service. See you soon.

Positive experience: Good bunch of people. I asked if I could take one of their demo bikes out but not from the area. Not a problem, we met up the next Saturday and went out for about an hour. Really good fun. Decided to buy a new 2022 model. They said it'd possibly, most likely, arrive in May but I had to wait until June. 4 stars? Sorry for the star off as it's probably not your fault. There seems to be a comms issue between Honda UK and the showrooms. Very few updates down the chain and although I would have appreciated some updates, there wouldn't have been much to tell me. Because of the lack of notice crescent got about when my bike would be delivered, my additional bits are still on back order and yet to be fitted. It'll be sorted though.

Negative experience: Trading standards are investigating. Based on my experience do not trust this garage. I brought a bike from them and was lied too. The bike had a health check and they supplied a check sheet. However half of the check sheet wasn't actually checked. The bike had minimal coolant and break fluid, the rear break didn't work. They told me the chain and sprocket had been replaced but they only changed the chain for a cheap version that rusted in 2 weeks. They have been unhelpful rude and at one stage even hung up the phone on me. I have spent numerous hours at my cost chasing and rectifying the bike for work that I was told was completed prior to purchase. The Dealer principal doesn't care or want to know and I am referring my case to the NCS. Do not buy any used bikes from this company!!!

Positive experience: Being a quiet weekday and no other customers in the shop I was surprised that no salesman came up to chat? I feel the family vibe has been lost in all their stores since I've shopped in them for over 30 years. You've got great premises but I'd rather buy from a friendly, hungry tin pot shop, plus when you email them with interest in a part exchange they don't bother responding. Big shame.

Fantastic experience: Best dealership in the UK. Bought my third bike and found Honda Crescent. Bought a CB650R and the customer service was excellent. I want to thank Finn who was amazing throughout the whole process and was very understanding. Will definitely be coming here again! Big thanks to everyone else!

I am glad they are my local dealer to look after my bikes and will look to purchase my next bike from them in future. After 30 years of bikes , i am a total scooter convert , they are both great. Fantastic experience: Last week I ordered a centre stand for my new to me 2016-2018 MY CB500f. The item arrived the next day, free postage & the item was the cheapest around. So far, very impressed. I fitted the item but unfortunately they had sent the wrong one & as a result the bike toppled causing superficial damage including a bent brake lever. Human errors do sometimes happen & the way those errors are put right can speak volumes for the company involved. Crescent Honda have displayed the absolute best in customer service & care I've ever witnessed. For starters, without quibble was the offer a refund or replacement. They were then prepared to arrange collection of my bike to have the minor damage repaired at their workshop which I think is in Southampton I'm about 150 miles away & I'm 100% sure it would have been returned in immaculate condition. As the bike is now with me on holiday this wasn't practical & I was more than happy to accept their offer of the replacement lever, bar end, refund plus a little token of goodwill on top. Ladies & gentleman, at a time when the world is in such a mess & you have given up all hope, it's great to be reminded that there are still decent people out there who put their customers first & restore your faith in humanity. Five stars is not enough, and I cannot recommend these guys enough. Thank you

Negative experience: Takes ages to do any kind of maintenance or repairs to motorcycles. The first time they changed my rear wheel it took 3 and a half months to get my bike back, theyre reasoning was because "they were waiting for the replacement wheel from china that they ordered of ebay". When i finally got my bike it seemed like they hadnt actually replaced it but repaired the old one. The second time i had to have a engine rebuild which they have had for nearing 8 months now, they outsourced the work, ordered parts from china, and make different reasons for it taking so long. They have changed the return date multiple times and the latest reason for it was because they were waiting for more parts from china, which was "beacuse they were waiting for gasket from japan or china" and i know you can go to pretty much any garage and pick one up. Was ment to get it back last week but supposedly have to wait another 2 weeks for this gasket which will make it 8 and a half months without my bike. Dont waste your time, plenty of places are quicker and cheaper. Sales daprtment are polite but they are either lazy or not the brightest when it comes to repairs.
