Fantastic experience: I rarely leave reviews, but sometimes you experience a service far better than you think it will be. Dealing with Bolton Motorcycles proved to be one of these occasions. After shopping around, Bolton Motorcycles had the motorbike I wanted at a good price. I was a little worried about "distance buying" a motorcycle, as they are located a long way from my home. I should not have worried! Right from initial contact all the way through to taking delivery of the bike, they were superb. Kept me up to date through the process and answered queries promptly, really friendly people who are easy to deal with. Lukas, Helen and the team went that extra mile. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Fantastic experience: This review is on behalf of my husband who has recently used Bolton Motorcycles to have his BMW motorcycle serviced and MOT'd. He has nothing but praise for Bolton Motorcycles. He was a little apprehensive as he wasn't sure they would be able to provide work to a BMW, but they did and provided an excellent service, and at a competitive price.

Just had my first bike delivered this morning after passing my CBT, from the beginning Bob was friendly & helpful in making sure the bike I'd come to check out was the right fit for me, the whole process was just so easy. Positive experience: I recently agreed to purchase a bike from Bolton motor cycles, and I left a £100 deposit. Due to a problem with insurance I was unable to complete the purchase. Bolton motorcycles were very understanding, although they were unable to return my deposit as per their terms and conditions they have kindly said the deposit will be available to me should I wish to make a purchase in the future. Fantastic experience: Bought a new bike and collected this Saturday,you get a great vibe from the sales staff,Lukas and Bob who come across as non pushy and professional in there approach.Having been riding bikes for 45yrs you pick up if the staff are not really interested and only after the sale great to see that here that is not the case. Even though they are not the closest to me I feel that it is worth the extra travel for a firm you can trust. Not had any dealings with the servicing side yet,but feel fully confident of the same service. Looking forward to a long relationship in the future

Fantastic experience: I had been searching for a red and silver Triumph T120 for a while and when this one popped up for sale at Bolton Motorcycles I contacted Lukas at the dealership who couldn’t have been more helpful, giving an honest overview of the bike to me as I’m based in Suffolk so couldn’t easily get up to Bolton to view. Lukas arranged for the bike to be delivered directly to my door, sorted an extended warranty and was contactable and replied quickly to my enquiries. Was let down by a different dealership, found this bike the same day, rang them up and the wheels were in motion immediately. Finance was set up almost instantly, and I went up 4 days later and collected the bike. Great customer service and everything was clear and straight forward. Fantastic experience: I had been looking for a Honda VFR 800F as a commuter. BM had a used 2010 model. I had the pleasure of dealing with Bob, who was extremely helpful in providing a full overview, walkround and history of the bike. It was exactly what I was looking for so decided to purchase, despite never having purchased a bike on line 'unseen' before. Communication was excellent and having just done my 90 mile commute the bike didn't miss a beat. A thoroughly great experience and if I'm ever in that neck of the woods would pop in to say a big thankyou !

Fantastic experience: A great, smooth transaction. I couldn't get hold of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 I wanted locally, but Jonathan at Bolton Motorcycles could get exactly what I was after. It took exactly the 2 weeks he said it would, and he arranged free delivery for me also, even though I was in High Wycombe, probably 200 miles away. I was kept informed of the process as it went along, and I'm really pleased with the transaction. If only this was my local dealer!!

Fantastic experience: Saved my roadtrip from south France to north England. I had lost my himalayan clutch rod on the highway. So no way to change gear when riding. Parts takes 2 weeks to be order. He saved me by taking one on his last himalayan in the showroom. Thank you.

Negative experience: Please do not use this company. Sold a faulty bike, we agreed to it being repaired. The company agreed on the mechanic as he was near by. The mechanic worked with the makers of the bike to try and rectify the problem. The bike still breaks down and is unreliable. After agreeing refund and collection of the bike. They sent the wrong transport to collect, knowing how unreliable the bike was to start. The bike (surprise,surprise) wouldn’t start and it couldn’t be loaded. Now Bolton motorcycles won’t collect the bike as they lost £350 on the transport company. They had very little knowledge of the bikes they sell, and gaslighting when it comes to customer service afterwards. After reading reply I would like to add- the repairs were done with your approval. He didn’t just not bother to be here for collection- he was working in Wales, which they were informed of as I was the contact name as I am at the residence. The bike is faulty- not fit for purpose under the consumer law of 2015- you should have either offer refund or repair. If you really wanted to fix it, you should have collected it and got it fixed. It didn’t run, it was collected three times by AA on a flatbed. The bike may have been 20 years old but it was still advertised at 23,000 which I would say isn’t cheap.

Fantastic experience: I’m based in the South East of England, but saw that Bolton Motorcycles had the bike I wanted. Buying a bike from a dealer you’re not close enough to visit in person might make you feel a bit nervous, but honesty these guys made the experience even better than if I’d bought locally! Starting from his prompt and friendly response to my WhatsApp enquiry, Jonjo answered all my questions (I asked a lot, but was never met with anything but 5* customer service!) and sent me a detailed video walkaround of the bike. Once I’d made my decision to purchase, Jonjo put me in touch with a local bike transport company who could deliver my bike to me (saving me money on the best price the shop could offer me), and kept me updated every step of the way while I waited for the additional accessories he’d ordered for me to arrive, be fitted to my bike before it would be delivered to me. My bike arrived in exactly the condition I expected it to be, complete with all the paperwork and keys. The whole thing was a totally smooth and pain-free purchase. Even if you’re not close enough to Bolton to visit in person, you shouldn’t hesitate to buy a bike from these guys. They will look after you the whole way, and I will 100% be looking here first when I’m in the market for another bike!

Fantastic experience: Recently purchased a Motorbike from Bolton Motorcycles. I must say their customer service is second to none, i didn't view the bike as it was a long journey. Jonjoe was my main contact and nothing was too much trouble, he sent me images and videos of the bike running, so of corse I purchased it. Came with a full MOT, which surprised me as the bike still had several months left. Oil and Filter change, drive chain adjusted and lubricated, mechaically could not fault it. Was a bit nervous about buying one from so far away and without even seeing it [as I live in Somerset] but...... the service was faultless, they sorted finance, delivery etc and the bike is an absolute beauty. Even the delivery driver was fantastic. 8 days from finding it on Auto Trader to delivery complete with MOT and service. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Negative experience: In recently bought a Boss Hoss LS3, 2000. Part exchange. Won't go into how under valued my 2 Harleys were taken for. The bike cost £25000. It was not serviced and checked properly not was taken out for an extended ride. The reverse gear es extremely variable. I drove 300mi 2-way to see. John was busy with one customer. Then was not forthcoming. He could nod not start the bike. Then rang someone. Then started and switched off in 15sec (£25000 bike). I said I'll return from my busy time to see it running, leaks, sound etc. He sent me 2 short videos and said was serviced, MOTs and ready. Reassured me. Two very helpful engineers came and guided me about the running. It leaked a litre of fuel at the gas station. A dreadful sight. I turned the petcock to the opposite side which seems to have worked. But over 8 miles it lost 23 litres due to petcock position being wrong (still checking). I showed it to my local mechanic. He discovered there is lot of fuel leak overnight and leak from carburettor gasket. There also was a litre of fuel leaking on a huge bike with gas pump nearby. This is an ominous situation and uncontrollable fire hazard. I pushed the 500kg bike out of harms way. Yesterday I went out first time with the bike. The bike went fine for 15mi and then choking ev 200 yards and this happened 3-4 times. Then no further. So loaded on the recovery and it is with my local mechanic. Overall, I found John not forthcoming, dismissive, taking functions for granted and I can not depend on him for safety. My interaction with his engineers was fine. I know 99% of his customer reviews are 5-star. But then there is this one.

Positive experience: Never had any dealings with BMC just had first service for the interceptor there, what a great bunch of staff, very friendly and attentive, highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Sudden trip down to Plymouth needed the next day and a front tyre that would struggle to make it. Nipped it over and was fit in that day, new tyre fitted and good to go! As always, the service is second to none and they’ll do whatever possible to keep you and your bike safe! They are the only mechanics I trust near my bike Thanks guys!

Negative experience: Very unhappy customer, had my royal alloy scooter serviced at your shop, got told indicator relay faulty, and top bearing faulty, this was on the 17th July, the bike is currently under warranty and I had no further response from yourself until I contacted you last week, after twice being told somebody would ring me back nobody had the decency to contact me and I again had to phone you for a response, the after sale service is VERY Poor, to say the least, I will never recommend this dealer to anybody else, Very disappointed Mr A.Hughes
