Fantastic experience: Been through the full licence process with ravens and I can honestly say these guys are the best motorbike instructors in derby, with lots of positive energy, excellent training skills and a friendly welcome no matter if you've ever been on a bike before or not. Special thanks to Andy who started me off with the basics, and then as I was advancing Jim took over and again he's been very good in training me throughout my journey and now I hold a full bike licence... I highly recommend these guys, no flaws, no hidden cons or any deceptions, if you need further training they will provide it, and if your good to go they will pop you through for a test it's that simple. By the way Jim looks grumpy but he's got a heart of gold so don't judge a book by its cover

Fantastic experience: Excellent time doing my CBT on Friday (3 days ago). Took the advise to start with a Honda CB125F to practice with while still looking to move onto a full A license using DAS route and build my hand muscles/control up. I definitely felt it after the CBT :D Passed my theory and bought my learner bike on Saturday. Collected on Sunday and now ready to ride. Looking forward to scheduling my full license with Raven!

Fantastic experience: I would just like to say a massive thank you to the instructors who dealt with me over my training period Mark and raven,Mark 2,Nigel and big Jim who without them I don't think it would have been possible to get to where I am now which is where I have my catorgory a licence. Fantastic experience: Honestly I don’t know why you would go anywhere else, originally I went to their competition years ago to do my CBT, they failed me multiple times, to earn more money off me and ultimately crushed my confidence when it came to riding and exams. Then I came to Raven, absolutely lovely place with instructors who feel more like friends than anything, and within two days I felt right back on my feet about exams and A2 ready like never before. Absolutely no hidden or extortionate fees like other places would do, bike and gear hire included in the price so no worries about going deep into your pocket for gear when you’re already paying off exams and a very cute dog roaming around. Would absolutely recommend to anyone, even in surrounding cities or towns, to avoid competitors and come straight to raven.

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT in February & I am glad I followed their advice and did half day prior as I’d never ridden - only been pillion. I wasn’t the best at the gears and clutch and had some support but they were great and helped me get through to complete my training. Just hoping to sort my first bike out this week so reminded me to pop up review!

Fantastic experience: Great motorcycle riding school with good gear, bikes and no-nonsense instructors who adapt to your individual learning style. Results speak more than words, I passed my mod 1 and mod 2 first time and got my DAS in less than four weeks. If you want to learn well, this is the place!

The people truly care about making sure you are safe, confident, and inspired when you finish your day, plus they’re a great bunch of guys down to earth. Fantastic experience: Very helpful and friendly instructors. I'm 58 yrs old and on autism spectrum and was fearful of what the experience might be like. But it was great. My instructor, Mark, was very patient and helpful and really built up my confidence that I could do this. He has a great manner of teaching. I would give more than five stars if I could.

Fantastic experience: Completed both the pre-CBT and CBT training and had a really great time. Mark made sure I was fully comfortable with all of the basics which allowed me to stay calm on the roads despite having no experience. Would highly recommend, both of the instructors are really friendly and their focus is making sure you feel happy passing the CBT rather than just making money.

Fantastic experience: The training was brilliant, the first sections of training were practical and got me ready to drive the bike on a real road and know what to do at junctions, roundabouts and where to position myself on the road, etc. The theory/ highway code was also great and I learnt all that was necessary and in enough detail. My instructor was very helpful and was always trying to help me in fixing my mistakes. Overall it was an amazing experience and I feel as though I can competently ride a bike now.

Fantastic experience: I’ve done my CBT at the start of the year then following a half-day to check for bad habits decided to go for Mod1 & Mod 2 all with Raven. The instructors are friendly and welcoming, the training was enjoyable and relaxed. They’ve also been helpful with any tangential bike questions like big bike buying advice or maintenance questions. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get in a bike.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to Raven by my friend who had done his CBT, MOD1&2 and passed all with these guys so have them a call. Booked in and did my CBT, Honestly…, I have never been met with such a warm and kind welcome by anyone or any company before. To Raven, it seems you’re more than a customer, within the biking world there’s a kind of “brotherhood” for all on 2 wheels and Jim and Mark definitely make you feel that when you’re there. So far I have don’t my CBT, passed that, 3 riding lessons and picked up some incredible advice and safety tips and “awareness riding advice”., done my MOD1 training, passed my MOD1 and am now only a few short hours away from my MOD2.! Even though I’ll of passed my test ()…, it’s the kinda of place you’ll always go back to as you see these guys for who they really are, passionate, caring, honest and truly loyal bikers who just so happen to have their love and passion as a business and welcome all who have been and passed and gone back anytime for a coffee, chat, catch up etc..!! Fantastic experience: I wanted to do my motorcycle test. so I basically went on Google for a place that would make me feel comfortable and As a woman who has adhd an autism its very hard for me to settle in an listen. These guys have gone above and beyond to make sure I'm comfortable, confident and settled. The patients they have is remarkable. From the moment I called I instantly felt confident that I could actually do this and that this is the right place for me. I know lots of women get abit intimated but I garentee any woman wanting to do there bike test defo give these guys a ring. because honestly now these guys are amazing. No matter what size / gender etc they treat you with the upmost respect. Not like other schools just wanting your money. These guys actually teach you without making it feel like your on a lesson or training, they have a great environment to learn in and there very friendly and informative and comfortable to be around it's basically like going out with your friends. I seriously can not put in to words how this place is! I'm so happy I found such a great training school with happy confident people teaching me new skills and a new way of life with a motorbike. I've have had a fantastic time an I will continue on my journey with my bike along with you guys. Thank you for making me feel like part of a team and showing me the skills I need to continue on my journey. I appreciate everything you have done for me an continue to do for me. Fantastic experience: I heard about raven through a friend. i decided I wanted to do my full bike test but had to start from the very beginning. Booked my CBT and from the start they were welcoming, friendly and made me feel a lot more relaxed. Moved onto the bigger bikes and had Jim training me. He had a lot of patience and taught me everything I needed to get me through my mod 1&2. They’re very experienced and have a lot of knowledge to pass on. I passed everything first time. Fantastic experience: So I have been to other companies in Derby that teach, but I can assure you it’s not a scratch on these guys. Everything is done at the pace you want, with a sense of humour thrown in- without any ego. Great staff and of course that little dog Raven! If you want to do your CBT, or progress onto bigger bikes then get yourself here! Small groups too so it’s more personal, none of this 6-1 rubbish. Cheers guys

Fantastic experience: This week i passed my mod 2 all thanks to the guys at raven, at every part of the process they were nothing but professional. They made me feel right at home and helped me get my ticket to ride. I recommended them to my partner when she wanted to do a cbt and would heartily recommend them over and over. Now to go enjoy my new keyring. Thanks guys, you were nothing but amazing ---- I did my cbt here a few ago and these guys are just amazing at what they do! They are really stand up guys who care about you and your journey, they want you to be as confident and competent on a bike as you can be so they will do the training necessary but they will make sure they go beyond that and teach you the tools you will need. Ive also spoken to these guys on the phone - even when your asking for advice or just unsure about anything Mark is friendly and isnt trying to peddle you anything you dont want, he seems very happy to help. Fantastic experience: Just done my CBT today and honestly can't thank these guys enough! Although excited was very nervous starting, bit of a very wobbly start especially with a geared bike and was recommended to try an automatic, was still wobbly and very frustrated but after having a minute and a pep talk with Stu and some extra practice i eventually caught up Mark being great in explaining the highway code and having a laugh with us all On the roads, again quite nervous, had a bit of a panic at a junction towards the start but was reassured constantly with how I handled it, although I did have to pull to one side to compose myself and had a little pep talk with Andy to evaluate where I'm going wrong and how to improve with amazing patience and understanding Had a bit more practice with u turns and emergency stops on the road with both Stu and Andy being amazingly reassuring to both of us learning and how to constantly improve Gradually getting more confident with everything as I started to lead (which is quite nerve-racking ) with constant reassurance even with taking a wrong turn But passed! I'm honestly so happy and can't thank Andy and Stu enough and thank you for all your patience! The whole Raven team is so friendly and honestly really enjoyed today You all are absolute legends! And couldn't recommend you guys enough thank you!!!

Fantastic experience: The professionalism of the instructors helps you to calm your nerves, doing the Pre-CBT also helps massively with that. You can tell they've been doing this for a long time because nothing fazes them. They teach and emphasise safety with clear critical communication throughout. Did 2 days training to do my A licence, again was great fun, loved it. Jim was alright I guess ;). Can have a good laugh and he has a lot of great usable advice. Fantastic experience: The best place to learn your basics before you ride a bike of that I'm certain. Very helpful instructors, with Q&A about general traffic rules, hazardous conditions etc... When on the road with the bike, in the final stage of the training, the instructor maintains both excellent visual and radio communication with the learners in order to tell them where to go. Fantastic experience: Did my CBT with Raven in the blistering heat constantly getting frustrated about tiny mistakes because of the heat, but Andy the instructor was patient and thorough, I hadn't rode in 6 years and was a little rusty but now I feel confident to get back on the road and eventually do my mod 1 and mod 2 with these guys. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to ride, first timers or people wanting a full license.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant service... I completed my pre CBT training and CBT with Raven MCT and enjoyed every minute of it. If you are female/male and looking to learn I would recommend using these guys without a doubt. I felt so relaxed and comfortable the whole time and to top it off they make the training enjoyable. I will be going back to do my full licence with them as soon as I am ready.

His professionalism, knowledge, and experience were evident from the very beginning of our training sessions. He provided a personalized approach, tailored to my individual needs and skill level, which helped me to feel comfortable and confident as I worked to improve my riding skills. Andy has a gift for explaining complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand and put into practice. Fantastic experience: I went for a CBT as per recommendation from my partner who also had his CBT done here. The best experience I had on the road previously was riding a bicycle, so I knew nothing. Thankfully I had the best instructor to guide me through, and though I was a nervous wreck and extremely tense, Andrew (instructor) helped guide and ease me to feeling more confident on the scooter. The training was precise and direct, and I was glad he was there to remind me and instruct me better to remember to turn off my indicator and (in his words) "look where you are going because your eyes drive the bike" - bless him. He even made me repeat and practice U Turns and certain techniques over and over again for my benefit, and then gave feedback as to what I could do to make my driving skills better and overall road experience. I couldn't ask for any better because after the CBT session was done, he gave me feedback and sat down with me for some advice on what type of scooters within my budget I should look for. My instructor has obviously years of experience on the road and knows the best helpful tips on how to keep your presence with the law through and through. Honestly, highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again should I renew my CBT or gain a full motorbike license. It was certainly more fun than I expected. Thank you so much :D

Fantastic experience: Had my cbt renewal here, as a whole it was a fantastic day, learned things I'd forgotten and fixed a few of my gremlins shall we say. Would definately reccomend them to anyone thinking of taking their cbt, great lads! The dogs also a cutie!

Jim's laid back, confidence inspiring character was great and made learning moments enjoyable, constructive and easy to take. Fantastic experience: I'm currently living the Vietnam dream. I am 100% certain I owe my life to the excellent tutelage of Andy and Mark. I have the confidence and safety knowledge to avoid the many death traps that come with driving in Vietnam. Fantastic experience: As an ex car driving instructor I can highly recommend Raven, I’ve had my CBT done with these guys and then my bike licence. Fantastic experience: We did out CBT and pre CBT together and it was amazing from strat to finish, not only great instructors but great people as well, had a lot of fun and learnt everything you need to ride a motorbike safely (and more). If you are a beginner I absolutely recommend doing a pre cbt as well, you'll have more time to learn the basics and will give you much more confidence during the CBT day.
