Fantastic experience: Honestly couldn't have had a better experience. Due to short notice starting a new job with the Ambulance Service, I needed to find a company that would be able to sort my C1 Theory and Practical tests, fast - and Core did not disappoint. I was provided with booked appointments for both theory tests as well as access to a revision app to help make studying easier included in the price. Having everything pretty much done for me made the whole process quicker, easier and much less stressful, and I passed both theory tests first time! When it came to the practical elements, the instructions on where to meet were spot on (even including a What3Words!), and Phil was right on time. Before we did anything he familiarised me with the vehicle, showed me how everything worked and ran me through the "Show me, tell me" questions so I could go over them in my head whilst driving before the practical test the day after. Throughout the drives, Phil was extremely professional, clearly knowledgeable and with a vast amount of experience driving and instructing, whilst being able to have casual conversations to take the pressure off of practicing for the test. Very much like driving with a mate. The instruction with the Reversing Manoeuvre was flawless and allowed me to pick it up quickly and, after some practice, pass this on my first attempt too. The practice for this was conducted in an empty area of a Morison's car park, however I couldn't be more impressed with the mobile setup Phil has, and (after he explained his reasoning) I was more than happy to use Morrisons as this allows the price to be extremely competitive, due to not needing to pay rent on a large empty plot of land to use. Phil managed to 'drive' out all of my bad habits within a day and a half, and had everything arranged with the DVSA Test Centre too so that, when I was ready, we turned up and hit the road straight away for the final Practical Driving Test. Due to the excellent instruction, I passed first time with only 2 minor faults out of the allowed 12. Chuffed. Everything with Core was made super easy, even with Phil's wonderful daughter able to respond to emails in an evening or over the weekend to get everything booked in ASAP for me. I would 100% recommend booking a C1 through Core, and will be telling all of my local friends and colleagues to contact Phil as well. Thanks Core!

A 2 day course turned into 3 due to a test retake but Phil got me through it with his expertise & calm demeanour. I was even squeezed in very early on his day off for a test retake which I really appreciate. I drove down from Birmingham and I’m so happy I did, Phil was very professional & I felt comfortable as a female throughout the training, we had fun moments of reminiscing on the 90’s and going down memory lane along the way. Fantastic experience: I'm so glad that I chose Core Driving Training to do my C1, and I would definitely recommend it! From the start, Farrah, who organised all of the training, test dates and was more than happy to answer all of my questions (and I asked lots of questions to double check everything), was so kind and lovely, even responding to emails out of hours and with fast replies, it was so easy to sort out my training. Farrah was great, such a nice and hard working individual, and really made me feel at ease with the whole admin-y side of things. Phil, who was my driving instructor, was just as great, again making you feel at ease and comfortable, especially in a stressful couple of days as I had never driven a van before. He is great at being reassuring, good at giving instructions and explaining how to do things, but in such a nice manner that you learn so quickly, and as a very nervous individual myself who usually lacks confidence, and loses it with even the smallest of mistakes, I couldn't have asked for more. I felt at ease and Phil helped me build my confidence to be able to drive the vehicle so quickly and helped me learn from my mistakes. He was also great at telling stories and talking with you about other things rather than just about driving, which made the whole experience even better. Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Core enough! Farrah was quick and communicative via emails, easy to reach and get a response from if I had any issues or queries and understanding when it took me a while to get tests and things booked, but straight on sorting out the practical element once I'd passed my theory. Phil is a brilliant instructor - he reminds calm throughout and puts you at ease almost immediately. Everything is explained thoroughly but concisely, ranging from the elements of the test to key points in passing, making sure you understand before moving on. The practice vehicle is also very well maintained and looked after, it drives well makes things easier too!

He was also amazing at instructing me and he really took the time to teach me in the way that fit me best and made sure I was comfortable and happy along the way. I honestly don’t think there is a better instructor out there. He even drove me to the test site when I was too nervous to do so!!! Fantastic experience: Cannot thank and recommend Core driving enough! From the off set Farrah was incredibly kind, welcoming and accommodating and extremely fast at organising my training and test. Additionally Phil was an absolutely incredible instructor filling me with confidence whilst driving! Lots of laughs and giggles which made the whole experience very enjoyable! Fantastic experience: I have recently passed my C1 driving Course with Core Driver training and I cannot Recommend them enough! Their service has been amazing, from the admin team (Farrah) who has been so accommodating and supportive through to my instructor Phil, who made me feel so comfortable despite my nerves! Fantastic experience: I couldn't speak highly enough of my experience training through Core Driver Training. Phil, Dean and Farrah have all been amazing throughout, despite an unavoidable mishap meaning i missed my first test, both Farrah and Phil were very helpful in sorting everything out, and both Phil+Deans created a relaxed and pressure free environment where I could learn from them and their experience.

Fantastic experience: From start to finish Phil and Farrah were amazing! Farrah is so good with communication, arranging driving test times, any extra information you might need and to support with upcoming bookings! Phil is BRILLIANT! He makes you feel so relaxed and at ease when learning! He is great for picking up little things you need to learn for the exam and uses his 10 year experience to really get you up to speed! He is so patient with his clients and understands the ways in which I learnt! He has a laugh and really makes you feel comfortable and as if you are part of his team! From the abundance of water bottles you’re provided on every lesson to the immaculate vehicle, he not only pays attention to detail and personalises your experience, but he also makes it fun! He is an incredible instructor and I would recommend him to anyone who requires their C1 driving certificate. I cannot say thank you enough to Core Driver (including Farrah who was so helpful and friendly throughout when I first got in touch and booked my lessons)!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience and quality of teaching delivered by Phil. He was a brilliant instructor who, immediately upon meeting, clearly demonstrated his passion for teaching and desire to watch his students succeed - especially nailing it first time round. He was calm, patient and delivered continuous high quality feedback to the most minute detail; whilst also making a genuine effort to make his students feel comfortable and reassured throughout, particularly when initially handling an intimidating and large vehicle. For myself that has not driven a car consistently in 3 years, he was a fantastic instructor. Furthermore, a big highlight to Farrah who strived to accommodate our needs, for instance requiring practical dates as soon as possible (which she brilliantly provided), whilst also being very clear and pleasant in her communications. Above all, fantastic service to which I can only give praise. Would recommend to anyone.

Kept in touch with me to check everything was still to plan. I was nervous to start driving a bigger vehicle and straight away I was put at ease by Phil! Enquiries and booking was prompt, efficient and friendly, I was able to get training and test to suit my schedule and was offered a range of dates to suit at a great price. Phil was brilliant at easing any nerves and making me feel comfortable and confident. Phil was happy to answer any questions I had throughout training and was supportive and encouraging in getting me ready for my test.

Fantastic experience: I just had a first time C1 pass and I couldn’t recommend Phil more! From the minute you meet him it’s comfortable and relaxed and he provides an easy, chatty, friendly environment to learn in. He quickly picks up on your current skills and helps identify areas for improvement. He talks you through each step and explains everything very clearly. I genuinely enjoyed every moment of the training, Phil is easy to get on with and we had some good laughs (green hair, parachuting people and selfish suncream fiasco ), it made the training go quickly and made it thoroughly enjoyable. And a huge thank you to Farrah as well, she is an absolute credit to Core Driving and made the whole booking process easy and stress free, she was professional and kind from the first moment I made contact with her. Fantastic experience: I have had a really positive experience, undertaking my C1 training with Phil. I was recommended the company by a number of friends and colleagues in the ambulance service who had all had equally good experiences. The administrative side of signing up was very straight forward and efficient, and I knew what to expect on arrival of my first day. Phil was a fantastic instructor, adapting his teaching style to suit me and was brilliant at picking up on what I get comfortable/uncomfortable with on the driving. A really nice man and very easy to chat to, but also keeps an eagle eye on every part of driving to ensure that could improve on the smallest of things. All of this is what led me to passing first time. I would highly recommend using core driver training.

He was super friendly and was easy to get along with. He really knows how to teach this course in such a straightforward way and is definitely who I would recommend doing your C1 training with!
