Established since 1995 by Rob Melhuish Elite Drivers CARdiff has gone from strength to strength in the delivery of one to one driver training & outstanding customer service. Customer relations has always been close to Rob’s heart.
Here at Elite Drivers you won’t be taught just how to pass your driving test (however yes of course that’s important). What you’ll be taught is how to be a safe, responsible & considerate driver. Remember, once you pass your driving test safe driving is all about “car control, anticipation of potential hazards & awareness/planning of actual developing hazards”. Here you’ll learn all the above & so much more in a relaxed and friendly environment making your learning an enjoyable experience.

Fantastic experience: The instructor, Rob, is very nice and very patient. He is very knowledgeable about driving and the rules on the road. He explains everything very well and is very organised. He never misses a lesson and has a very good system for booking your next lessons. I am very glad I chose Rob as my instructor and if I ever needed to take more lessons I would pick him again and I shall be recommending him to my younger siblings and any other people that are learning to drive in Cardiff. Fantastic experience: Well what a journey that was , I was Rob’s first pass of 2025 and first time tooo !! But that is all thanks to Rob himself I had such an positive experience learning to drive with Rob, Best believe when I first started my lessons I was very anxious , Rob was patient and positive he would never let me have a negative mindset towards my driving , Not only has he taught me drive safely but to also drive in all different kinds of roads and all situations that I will be faced with when I drive my own car. Fantastic experience: Rob is an excellent driver instructor. He is able to tailor his teaching style to his pupil, facilitating their learning and patiently guiding them towards the finish line. Unlike many driving instructors, Rob teaches you how to drive not how to pass a test. No matter how long it takes, Rob will make sure each pupil is able to pass his driving test, even those who like me did not find driving the easiest of skills.

Fantastic experience: Rob started to teach my son before starting uni, but unfortunately, we couldn’t get a test date before he left. During the xmas hols Rob provided an intense course resulting in a xmas eve first time pass! Throughout, Rob was an excellent teacher, patient, encouraging , thorough and a perfectionist. He would not put anyone through to test unless he was 100% sure they were ready. I would highly recommend as an instructor
