Fantastic experience: Adrian is a brilliant driving instructor! His professionalism and patience made me feel comfortable learning at my own pace. Fantastic experience: Adrian was so great in helping me pass my driving test. His lessons were well planned and he explained things very clearly. Also, he is very knowledgeable. Any questions I had about specific scenarios, he knew the answer! I passed first time with a few minors and couldn't be happier!

Fantastic experience: I would very highly recommend Adrian to anyone who wants to learn to drive! He explains everything in a very clear way and provides you with lots of resources to study and improve. While mistakes are inevitable while learning to drive, Adrian is very patient and helps you pinpoint and understand what caused the mistake, and explains how to better approach the situation. I couldn't recommend him enough!

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of taking driving lessons with Adrian, and I highly recommend Adrian to anyone who is looking for a driving instructor. From the very first lesson, Adrian was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and professional. What stood out most was his clear and concise instruction. Adrian explained complex maneuvers in a way that was easy to understand, and always provided constructive feedback that helped me improve with each lesson. At the same time, he has given some study materials (e.g notes and videos) which is useful. It helps me remember what was taught during the lesson. A very punctual and professional instructor. I highly recommend this instructor.

Fantastic experience: Adrian has been a fantastic instructor to help me pass first time! Really good at teaching, would go over any mistakes I made when learning and identify why they happened, and look at ways to fix that and prevent them from happening again. Would make accommodations to changes in my schedule and if I had any specifics I wanted to go over with him was always happy to. Overall a very good instructor, highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Adrian highly enough. This was my third time learning to drive and Adrian has been the best instructor I've had, by a long way. He's such a nice guy. Always reliable and bang on time. And his demeanour is perfect - friendly yet professional and clear in his explanations / instructions. He is also very patient - I can be "a little bit" pedantic and I was forever asking questions... he never once got annoyed and always took the time to explain things in a way I understood. I also passed my test first time which is something of a miracle. If he has a slot, you should grab it, you won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: I passed today and I cannot recommend Adrian highly enough. The attention to detail through the notes, videos and conversations that are had alongside the actual driving make it feel like such a worthy investment. No lesson ever felt rushed, or felt like I was moving too slowly and I felt a natural progression with each lesson so by the time I took my test, I felt confident with all my knowledge and didn't feel like I was just blagging it. Driving lessons aren't cheap in general, however with Adrian it never felt like it was about the money. You can tell he's doing a job he loves, and he goes out the way to make sure the value is reflected in every lesson. Super professional, never late, and just a brilliant teacher and great guy. Fantastic experience: Adrian is a lovely driving instructor to have. He made the syllabus clear from day one and regularly provided notes on any points of improvement with each lesson and even went the extra mile of having pre-prepared notes for each driving topic which made applying the theory easier to understand and stick to as a habit too. Learning to drive a manual car without any previous driving experience wasn't the easiest thing for me but Adrian was patient and made sure to explain things clearly with due diligence given to being a safe driver. He was professional and always on time and communicated clearly about scheduling lessons or any other thing that came up. I feel safe tackling the roads on my own now having learnt with him! Would definitely recommend him as a driving instructor.

Negative experience: Terrible experience, cared more about my money & his own responsibilities than teaching me to drive. I gave Adrian full control of my lesson plan, along with giving him full control of what dates I booked off work (to which he didn't care to sort out for me). Despite expressing my concerns about the difficulty in securing regular lesson times, he failed to offer any solutions or make an effort to accommodate my schedule. He would randomly change lesson times to suit him and confuse my work/manager. Subsequently, he left it until 3 days before my test (too late notice to postpone/cancel the test)to say that he wasn't comfortable to take me for it. Adrian failed to communicate lesson objectives or provide a roadmap for my learning journey. It was as if each lesson was a spontaneous reaction to whatever happened on the road that day, rather than a thoughtfully planned educational experience. This lack of guidance left me feeling adrift and unsure of my progress. His haphazard teaching style contributed to a sense of wasted time and money. The overall lack of professionalism was apparent when he proceeded to gaslight me on the drive home from my mock exam, saying that I never asked for further lessons from him? ... and that I never gave him enough notice for my test? This was a regrettable experience that left me feeling exploited and, most importantly, ill-prepared for safe and responsible driving. Save yourself the frustration and find an instructor who genuinely cares about your progress, and doesn't want to cause you this much confusion and frustration.
Hello Matthew, I am sorry you did not enjoy your experience with us. Allow me to address the issues you have raised.
In terms of lesson dates, it is not always easy to give you the dates you ask for initially as it depends on the needs of all other pupils. However, every effort was made to accommodate you and fit you into the diary at times that suited both of us. Sometimes lesson dates and times will be subject to change, which is unavoidable but this was kept to a minimum. I advised you in plenty of time of any change but dates and slots were never cancelled, only moved. On a couple of occasions you texted and cancelled pre-set dates and these were then re-agreed which was absolutely fine. Each time the changes were made you would indicate that you were in agreement with the new times and dates. As your work schedule is changeable (sometimes you work weekends), it was never going to be the case that we had regular dates at exactly the same time each week, which would have been ideal.
You also requested that we agree a series of dates in advance, which we did and I gave you as many as the diary would allow at the time. Of the 9 dates I gave you, you refused 2 of them saying that you had other plans. You subsequently said that you were free for the deleted dates but by that time they had been filled by other pupils. In terms of booking dates off work, you repeatedly stated that you would be taking time off work in the days leading up to your test which was fine but I did not control this as you suggest.
Regarding lesson plans, the objectives were always agreed at the beginning of each lesson. However, these were sometimes superseded by other needs which would became apparent during the lesson. These necessitated changing the original plan. I am sorry if you saw this as haphazard but lessons have to be fluid in order to address the needs of the pupil and to maintain safety on the roads. Each time we stopped by the roadside to discuss an incident on the roads, I sensed you were irritated at having issues raised with your driving and fear that you were more concerned with the timeline to your test date rather than the safety concerns raised. Everyone’s learning pace is different and sometimes a pupil’s learning journey cannot be rushed.
Over time it became apparent that we would need more time beyond the date of your test and I mentioned this a few times, the last of which was a full 10 days before the date of your test. However, you repeatedly indicated that you did not wish to move it. Indeed, this was a date that you had already set prior to commencing lessons with us. Ideally, it is the instructor who should set the test date as he or she will be in a position to gauge the best possible date based on the pupil’s demonstrated readiness. As you did not wish to move the test date, we agreed to have a mock test to establish how you would fare under test conditions. Unfortunately, because of diary restrictions on both sides and the need to address some learning needs beforehand, the agreed mock test date ended up being within the minimum 3 clear-working- day cancellation period stated by the DVSA.
Due to you not passing the mock test I stated that I would not able to take you to test on safety grounds. The Terms and Conditions clearly state that we reserve the right not to accompany the pupil to test if it is determined that they would not be ready in time. At the end of each lesson you signed to say you have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions. These were sent to you via email prior to our first lesson and you are deemed to have read and understood them.
You started to show significant improvement and skill in your driving and I would have been happy to continue to work with you to help you to achieve your goal of becoming a fully fledged driver but unfortunately, we ran out of time.

He was very professional and calm in the car - exactly what you need when learning to drive. He focuses on teaching you to be a very safe and thoughtful driver. Fantastic experience: First time pass with Nirvana Driving School! Adrian was an amazing teacher and took me on my driving journey from start to finish. Fantastic experience: Adrian is a fantastic instructor and I could not recommend him enough. Super safe, adaptable to your learning style and never once shouted (unlike the horror stories I've heard about my friends instructors). The amount of work he does for his students out of hours is vast; making notes, texting them after a lesson to ease nerves, making videos and uploading them to YouTube etc... I was an extremely nervous driver at first and Adrian really honed my skills, evident by passing first time with three minors! Honestly, if you want a great driving instructor who cares, pick Adrian.
