Fantastic experience: 5 star service from Utah and Elliots driving school highly recommend for anybody wanting to learn how to drive everything is taken at your own pace and thanks to them I passed first time

Fantastic experience: I chose to do my driving lessons with Elliot’s school of motoring. My instructor was utah, I went for my test today and passed with only 2 minors! I always looked forward to my lessons, utah is very down to earth and makes you feel comfortable. Highly recommend!! And a big thankyou!! ☺️

Negative experience: Just watched as an instructor pulled up to collect someone for a lesson she got out of the vehicle dressed in what looked like pyjamas flicked a cigarette onto the street not very professional

Negative experience: I didn’t even wanna give a single star because Utah/ Alex this instructor left me the worst learning experience!! Please AVOID AVOID! It’s AWFUL! He didn’t even ask if I learnt driving before, spending almost an hour telling me where is where on the car. If I said I don’t know, he would keep asking and doubting me how would I not know. Very aggressive and impatient in language use, having lesson with him is very stressful and I wouldn’t buy his attitude towards learners! Absolutely terrible, please avoid! All the reviews are certainly true.

Fantastic experience: After a few different instructors I finally met Keikee and honestly it felt like I was driving my friend around. She made me feel so at ease and wish I had her from the get go. Thank you for getting me to pass with no faults

Negative experience: My Experience was very bad , the driving instructor Kee Kee was a very arrogant and used to use abusive languages. She used to constantly shout had no patience and didn't teach me forward and reverse parking , I took 20 hrs lessons and money was wasted

Fantastic experience: Utah !!! !!! !! He is the best Teacher. He is strict but it’s the type of strict teaching you need because he won’t waste your time. He actually makes you learn and doesn’t mess about at all. The whole one hour he make sure your learning and driving safely. He’s the reason why i’m getting more confident in driving every lesson. He has really good availability as well for driving lessons.

Negative experience: My experience with Elliotts School of Motoring left me very disappointed and concerned about their commitment to safety and professional standards. Only at one out of four scheduled meetings did my instructor arrive on time. During my driving sessions, he was frequently on the phone and messaging. Even on the very first lesson, when I explicitly asked for help with a particularly challenging road situation, he kept discussing some car issues by phone (nobody was in immediate danger on that call). My mistakes were taken surprisingly personally, like it’s not a natural part of a learning process, but rather a matter of personal respect for the instructor. Every time I did something not perfectly, it was somehow about his authority, not about me lacking confidence and juggling multiple tasks simultaneously. In the end, out of the two remaining lessons I was refunded only for one due to price change and some admin refund charge. Overall, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Elliotts School of Motoring.

Fantastic experience: My instructor was Utah and he was really helpful with getting me ready for my test. I've passed today first time and Utah was a big factor in helping me complete that. I would highly recommend using Utah to learn how to drive and thanks again.

Fantastic experience: First of all I’d like to say a massive thank you to Utah who was instructor and got me to pass my test first time. He made me feel so confident and comfortable, he was always on time and always reliable. If anybody Is looking to pass their test, automatic or manual he is your man I can guarantee that. If it wasn’t for your teaching and Elliot’s itself then I wouldn’t have passed as comfortable or first time. It was a pleasure to learn with both Utah and Elliot’s. 5* from me. Josh.

Negative experience: Ridiculous instructor just need money i took 350£ lessons and instructor say i am not safe he didn’t took me for driving test. Utah ridiculous

Negative experience: I had a lesson here years ago and clearly nothing has changed. It’s a scam company that needs to be shut down asap. The instructor is very rude and goes on his phone during the lessons and I felt incredibly un safe as he paid no attention. It’s definitely illegal and I will try to get them shut down.

Negative experience: I would advice people to avoid this place like plague! First of all... i phoned up and never got no answer, straight after got a message asking for all my details so i sent a message asking who it is?? i got a response back with elliotts which should of been on message to begin with. So i sent a reply with my details and they gave me a date and time which i didn't see intil next day i reply saying i was happy with time and got a reply saying i would have to make another time now so we agreed upon a new time! After that i got another message asking for all my details again?? (so he/she must of delete my details which isn't very professional) i got another message back saying i would need to wear a mask to the lesson? which i reply i wouldn't be wearing a mask. None of this isn't on there website about wearing face masks. After saying i wouldn't be wearing one i got a reply asking for my name and never had no confirmation to say the driving lesson would happen. I have only just look at feedback, wish i did this to begin with cause there ratings are shocking! Also they only accept cash so i bet they don't put this down on books which is dodgy if you ask me. This place is so unprofessional and appalling and i would advice everyone to stay well clear.

Negative experience: Appalling instructor, My partner had decided to learn to drive via this company. The instructor first of all had 3 different names which was strange and it goes under: Roh, Utah, Alexander. First of all, i’m not holding him accountable for blatant discrimination nor any racism, but When he was with white learners no mask was required but when he was with my Partner, She was required to wear a mask? First this shouldn’t be happening in the first place since this looks a lot like discrimination. Second, When she was on a main road, the instructor was on his phone in this case, this is extremely unprofessional and of which Dangerous due to being on a main road. I can’t hold him accountable of lateness but atleast make sure to message or inform my partner of being late. I understand there is traffic but I believe you should stick to the highway code inwhich you should plan ahead earlier on. The only benefit of having him as an instructor - He can teach beforehand, Inform any tips for my partner. unfortunately quite hypocritical since he was on his phone.

Positive experience: Thanks to Paul my driving instructor i passed my driving test, he was great and friendly, taught me all i needed for the test and to safely drive on the road. Overall a good journey and pleased with the results.

Negative experience: I just had my second driving lesson with Paul, three weeks after my first lesson with him, and it left me feeling very sad. During the lesson, he commented on my steering, saying it was 'interesting' and even suggested that I should just take the bus instead. His continuous criticism made me feel like a failure, which greatly affected my confidence, to the point where I was on the verge of tears. He never apologized for his words and went on to suggest that I should try learning with an automatic car, as he believed it would take me a long time to learn manual. Keep in mind that this was only my second lesson, and there were many cars on the road, whereas my first lesson had very few. I really didn't appreciate his remarks; they felt like a knife, leaving me feeling unappreciated and anxious.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing,my driving instructor Paul salmons was brill every lesson I had I felt grew and felt more comfortable and determined he is one of a kind Paul is incredibly good with communication A☆ I highly recommend Paul salmons from Elliott xxx thanks Paul xxx

Negative experience: Would not recommend elliots driving Instructor alexandra, very poor service had 1 lesson with this man ,he wore no shoes or socks ,was on his phone gave no advise on driving very rude to female drivers . Makes you feel very uncomfortable but does say you can drive 30 mph in a 20mph zone . Messes about with peddles when you are driving so you go over the spead limit and his sandles are not on his feet but are under the peddles ,moves the mirrors not to your position and you can't move the seat to your position when driving . Would not recommend at all .

Negative experience: Worst experience ever, my instructor was always late, never responding messages, shouting and talking rude all the time. Avoid!

Fantastic experience: Passed first time with Elliott's. All of my lessons were with Utah who is a fantastic instructor. He is very thorough - explains every error being made, provides clear instructions on how to correct them for next time and has you practicing manoeuvres over and over until they are perfect. His technique is very effective and it made my test feel very straightforward. Thank you Elliott’s and Utah!

Negative experience: The worse company ever! Not recommanded! The black instructor( we still don't know the name) , is verbal aggresive and spend more time over the phone then show and explain to the students. My partener paid 10 lessons upront, and after negociation and negociation with the school, we receive the answer for refund. 4 hours lessons done, lost money and time. That person make psyhical pressure on students, without any reason. Always in late, not kindly at all. If anibody know the name please write it here. We are decided to complaint about this on gov.uk.

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend Paul from Elliot’s driving school. I passed on second attempt. Paul just not helped me to prepare for the test but also taught me how to drive with confidence when I start driving independently. He also assisted me to prepare for my theory test with all the road signs. Thank you so much Paul.

Fantastic experience: After having a terrible experience with other instructors, I am very happy to say I passed on my first try. I went with instructor Zarina. I cannot recommend Zarina enough she was very professional and took the time to explain things I needed to work on in a calm and polite manner. She was very helpful and supportive in answering my questions and doubts and made me feel comfortable.

Negative experience: Paul my driving instructor i had was very nice but he is supposed to be supervising learners learning to drive, He does not recap any prior lessons and always on his phone

Negative experience: Avoid Paul. Extremely passive aggressive and told me I would not pass a week before my test yet I did lol :) , extremely rude. Always on his phone and constantly having an go at you, I felt like he wanted to argue with me. Also, dropped me off 7 mins early from my lesson and was late on several occasions.

Negative experience: Avoid trevor. Started off my lessons with Trevor and they were okay. And then 15 lessons in, he started shouting at me. I had a bad lesson and he was shouting at me for every mistake I made, telling me " he doesn't know whats wrong with me" "your so slow" "everyone had to overtake you" the lesson ended up in tears and just said "I'm not trying to upset you" but shouted at me for the whole hour. I informed him that I am changing instructors and got a rude and unprofessional response. Ending the message with "it's all too easy to blame someone else" and at not one point was I blaming him for anything, I just stated I did not like the shouting and it makes me anxious. He is impatient and unprofessional. Avoid him. It seems he has just become inpatient and just can't be bothered to be a good instructor anymore.

Negative experience: AVOID TREVOR AT ALL COSTS!! He’s 70 years old and needs to retire and go home. I believe in tough love but he’s a D. Needs to stop shouting and raising his voice and instead needs to be telling his students what they’re doing wrong in a calmer manner in order to prevent distractions. Don’t go with him. Sure he had positive reviews a few years ago but it seems like he’s lost his way.

Fantastic experience: Today I’ve passed my driving test and I am so pleased. I would like to thank my driving instructor, Utah. He was great, very well experienced and professional. I was glad I had him after my previous instructor who didn’t pay much attention and never used to correct me or give me constructive advice etc. I will recommend Elliots and Utah in particular to all my friends. Negative experience: Terrible experience with Paul Slogan. He was completely unprofessional as he started telling me about his personal problems at home. He was on his phone a few lessons and could have put us at risk. I paid for a block of 10 but changed instructor due to him being unreliable. He did not refund me the correct money back and blocked my number. The company operator did not provide me with any useful help or support. I have found my experience to be appalling and the instructor to be rude and unprofessional.

Negative experience: I haven’t had a positive experience learning to drive with Elliott at all. Firstly, he was late for most of the lessons, rarely wearing a mask or a visor properly, he had no issues with texting or talking on the phone whilst I was driving. I used to dread the lessons with him and he’s put me off driving by constantly telling me how horribly I was doing. Very argumentative also, wouldn’t even discuss certain rules, any questions would be perceived as a challenge to his ways of driving/ teaching. I really wish I’d read the reviews before wasting my time and money on lessons with this school. Good luck to anyone willing to take a challenge learning with Elliott.

Fantastic experience: Passed my test today thanks to Paul, I previously had a driving instructor with Elliotts called David and I was getting no where and I didn't feel comfortable at all, my cousin gave me Paul's details and he booked me in straight away and I instantly felt comfortable and confident with him, Paul taught me so well and explained everything in depth, I highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive.

Negative experience: At the age of 17 I started to learn with Elliotts after the driving school was highly recommended by my family who had learnt from Utah many years ago! I was being taught by Dave, I had best part of 7 months of lessons and was still being told I wasn't ready for my test. Each lesson Dave would take me to a new test centre route. After finally being fed up my mum spoke to Dave he explained I still wasn't ready and NEEDED MANY MORE MONTHS OF LESSONS! Upon hearing this I moved driving schools and within a MONTH I PASSED FIRST TIME with Drive Pass driving school. This proved Dave from Elliotts was lieing and using me to earn extra money. Elliotts had a good reputation but with instructors like Dave Elliotts driving schools reputation will definitely be tarnished!

Fantastic experience: Just passed my test with Elliots. My driving instructor was Paul. He’s been very patient and professional with me throughout the whole process. His communication and approach/ways of teaching are reassuring which gave me a lot of confidence in myself to achieve this. I will highly recommend doing lessons with Paul. :)

Negative experience: Very disappointed with my first lesson and service. instructor didn't wear a mask and wore no shoes and took an phone call in my lesson. I had never driven an automatic car and when I made a small mistake I was spoken to like I was suppose to be an experienced driver. When I cancelled a lesson they tried to charge me £30 pounds even know it was never mentioned that this would be the case if cancelled.

Fantastic experience: Passed my test the first time round on the automatic car thanks to Alex, who never stopped working with me despite how long it took for me to develop my skills and reflexes. I wasn't the easiest/fastest learner Alex was so patient and took time to work with me and was hands down the best instructor i could have asked for! Never regretted choosing elliotts for my driving school.

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor Paul S was brilliant, helped me learn all the skills needed to pass my test and was friendly, reassuring and extremely competent.

Negative experience: Unfortunately i had an extremely disappointing service be very careful using Dave May as an instructor the main reason being he will force you to take more lessons than required and will cancel your driving test the night before to make you loose your money and fail your test. Fortunately due to my ability I did pass first time however dave did everything in his power to try and avoid me passing? it was very clear to see i could drive and only needed a few lessons however he asked me to spend over 500 in lessons with him stating I needed to know every test route this was complete rubbish as there are hundreds of test routes and familiarising yourself with them all is pretty much useless but this is his excuse to take more money from you. He negated to teach me the simple manoeuvres such as emergency brake etc I have also since found out he doesn't have a full instructor license (green) but the red one! elliotts are aware of his incompetency but yet continue to let him instruct! Please be careful of dave If you are allocated to him I would suggest finding a new instructor or driving school as you will spend Alot of money without gaining any experience and in many cases a large amount of disruption due to his last minute cancellations

Negative experience: Utah is just a bad market for Elliot. Had to stop my lessons with him after her said he was goi g to Jamaica for 2 wks, Had to keep chasing him. He will never answer ur question about driving, he will tell u to check google. Run from Alexander Utah

Fantastic experience: Very positive experience. From the beginning, Elliotts was very understanding, helpful and kind in assisting me with my entry into driving. Paul S. was my driving instructor, however he quickly became a good friend; answering any questions I may of had; thorough explanations of mistakes/the correct methods to be used and overall greatly helping my confidence towards eventually passing the test. Great appreciation for Elliotts and a huge appreciation for Paul. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Passed the test on my 1st try. Thanks to my instructor Alexander who taught me with patience, and so well that I actually found the test easy even though I was scared and nervous before. A couple other of my family members have passed their tests with Elliots too. I would certainly recommend this driving school.

Negative experience: Don't go anywhere near them!! I arranged lessons over a month ago and I'm sitting here writing this as Alex my instructor is over 40 minutes late for our first lesson. I'm going to change schools and yet again, I'm left with a nasty taste in my mouth from driving schools. I tried calling and texting and no reponse from the direct number for the school or Alex. Would not recommend

Negative experience: I’m an experienced driver outside the UK, took a lesson hoping to get oriented around driving on the opposite side nothing more. But the instructor was so patronising and telling me I need 20 hours to be able to drive (which is hilarious given that he wasn’t even paying attention and on his phone all the time AND I’ve been driving with an excellent record for over 5 years in other countries). I had questions I needed to ask that he wouldn’t fully answer which I thought is a ridiculous strategy to get the learner to book more classes. Didn’t work, Alex. Didn’t work. Anyway, I just decided to write this review and NEVER to take a lesson with this school again- I’m paying, I expect to learn something in that lesson at least.

Negative experience: RUDE. UNPROFESSIONAL i took driving lessons with TREVOR over 7 months, only to have a break due to me being unable to fund my lessons. when wanting to start back after driving after a month- he pretended he didn't know who i was and then told me to "move on." Thought this was very unprofessional and unnecessary.

Negative experience: Booked first lesson, the instructor Dave was late, he thought the lesson was tomorrow and pushed my lesson by 9h... then when I asked to move my lesson an hour or so he declined so I had to cancel. This was 22h notice. Dave said because i didn’t give him 24h he will charge my for my cancelled lesson. Also my first 1h lesson was actually about 10mins, the rest was travelling across notts to a good learning area. Waste of money and time.

Negative experience: Honestly just don’t bother. Always late, never apologised for it or gave you notice they were running late. Made me run errands on lessons for him such as get snacks, drop things off and get petrol. Picked up pupils and got dropped off by others on my lesson. Always on the phone during a lesson, texting or talking to others. Shuts his eyes while your driving never paying attention to anything you’re doing. Very unhelpful teaching methods, I never learnt a thing during a lesson. Made me feel uncomfortable and like I was always doing the wrong thing which made me nervous to even drive!! Don’t waste you’re money, this company does not care about actually teaching you to drive, just about the money that you pay them.

Fantastic experience: I had Utah as my driving instructor.. He was very professional, calm and patient. His attention to detail and great teaching technique enabled me to pass my driving test today. I would recommend him highly.

Negative experience: Absolutely awful had my test and he made me re arrange as he didnt have time to fit me in even though he new in advance, didnt turn uo for a lesson didnt contact me at all to infork me, he was always on his phone texting calling which your not allowed to do he would get points if he was seen by the police, it was utah i had automatic lessons he also closed his eyes whilst i was doing manovers and then would say id done something wrong when in actual fact he didnt see anything and i hadent done anything wrong. Would not recommended this driving school to anyone.
