His advice is incredibly concise, and he was always happy to let me practice anything I was struggling with. It was with Dave's help that I passed first time, and I am extremely grateful to him for all the support he gave me. I can't recommend Riverside highly enough. Negative experience: I don’t know what kind of driving instructor this is. Pulling up to cars and insisting they move out of his way whilst making racist remarks and using inappropriate gestures in front of his student. What kind of example is he setting? Is this what you teach your students? Disgusting, appalling behaviour.

Negative experience: Instructor needs to learn the Highway Code and try to reign in making abusive gestures at other drivers (with child passengers) for simply beeping them. Can’t imagine who would have their kids learning with this cretin.

Negative experience: Needs to learn his highway code and pass it on to his pupils. Giving the bird out the passenger window when the learner driver makes a mistake is very professional.

Fantastic experience: dave is such a good driving instructor, very calm and understanding and helps you throughout everything. He was just amazing from the beginning to the end.

Fantastic experience: Result: PASSED FIRST TIME! Dave has the ability to make learning fun and relaxed yet stay focused. My son was apprehensive before his first session because we had just relocated from Sussex and the Birmingham streets were very different. From the first session he was sold. Fantastic experience: Dave from Riverside Driving Academy kindly took me on as a pupil after my previous instructor finished teaching due to other commitments. From the start, I was motivated and encouraged to be the most confident and safest driver I can be. Despite anxieties, Dave always believed in my ability and helped me pass yesterday! I cannot thank Dave enough for all of his support and knowledge, preparing me to tackle the roads.

Fantastic experience: Wasn't taught here but an instructor made a great impression on us and wanted to support them! We (2) were cycling in a road in Sutton Coldfield and were overtaken on a right-hand turn at traffic lights by someone obviously in too much of a rush to care about driving too close. The car behind was a Riverside Driving Academy car, and the instructor shouted encouraging words and tried to help us by taking the details of the reckless driver. Thank you for looking out for other road users - clearly a nice lot, would recommend based on that alone!

Fantastic experience: Dave at Riverside is a brilliant driving instructor. I was a very nervous driver to begin with and didn’t think I’d ever be able to drive on my own, but Dave was extremely patient and made every lesson positive. I ended up passing first time and am finally driving myself around! The great thing about Dave is that he’ll make sure to challenge you, but without adding extra pressure. Can’t recommend him highly enough, thanks Dave!! I can drive!!

Fantastic experience: Learning to drive with my instructor Dave was a very enjoyable experience as I felt comfortable and safe from the very start to the very end. I didn’t expect to feel as confident as I did going into my driving test but the thorough practice helped me feel relaxed throughout. Fantastic experience: Dave is a brilliant driving instructor helping me find the courage to get out that comfort zone when I first started learning, and to be on the road as soon as I possibly could. He also ensured that I was very well prepared for my test despite covid restrictions preventing me from having lessons, and I'm pleased to say helped me pass first time.
