Fantastic experience: I used Go Local HGV Driver Training and thoroughly enjoyed it. I noticed they split the training into 2 parts, which I think is a better idea. Doing the reverse and trailer uncoupling as a separate test before learning the road handling test makes sense and takes alot of pressure off than doing them both as a combined test which I've noticed that's how alot of other companies tend to do it. The guidance from the instructors is friendly and nurturing helping you understand and build up your confidence ready for your test. Everything is taken care of from behind the scenes with arranging test days and getting your lessons booked in. I was only there for a few weeks but seen the company grow in that time with additional cabins, equipment, vehicles and further opportunities coming their way which is a positive sign. Great vehicles, great support and great set up. I wish I could do it all again as I really enjoyed it, but I ended up passing all the tests (whoop whoop). I'd recommend Go Local to everyone. We're glad that our instructors provided you with excellent instruction and guidance throughout your training. Calmness and allowing time for focus before the test are essential elements that we prioritise to help our students succeed.
Fantastic experience: A really good set of chaps with a very ideal temperament for instructing others to pass their 3a (reversing, coupling/uncoupling) and 3b (on-road) tests, and I was really happy to see they use a full size trailer. The Artics they have (which are fully automatic) are surprisingly easy to drive. I felt very confident by the time I went in for the on-road test, and was quite pleased when the examiner said I'd passed. Got my Class 1 licence in the post about a week later... I'd do it all again just for the banter, the experience of driving around that area again, and the Gregg's breakfasts we had ...if the people at Go Local HGV Driver Training happen to read this post, thank you all very much for your help, I really can't believe I now have my license! Cheers!

Fantastic experience: Was on a Car to class 1 HGV (Only passed Cat B 10 month ago) course with Stuart as my instructor, Training provided couldn't have been better, Always had a laugh and made you feel relaxed, never shouted or got frustrated if mistakes were made we would talk about why it went wrong and do it again so it was understood how to do it and always on the move, Would recommend if you're wanting to be train on HGVs.
