Fantastic experience: I had a great experience driving with Jonathan. After over a decade living abroad and not driving I needed some refresher lessons. At his suggestion we arranged four lessons of 90 minutes, and in that time I’ve gone from too nervous to get behind the wheel to my old driving self. Jonathan started me off slowly and adapted his lessons to cover everything I needed and wanted to practise. Now I feel able to get back on the road by myself again and I know I’ll be a better and safer driver thanks to his guidance. I’d highly recommend Driving-Ed both for new learners, or for anyone who finds themselves in a similar position to me and just needs to rediscover old skills.

Fantastic experience: I have had the most lovely experience learning to drive with Jonathan. He is professional and calm and explains things in a interesting and memorable way. The skills that I have learned in his driving lessons are ones I will definitely keep using throughout my driving. He has made me confident and has helped me overcome mistakes with ease. I recommend him to everyone and his teaching style keeps the lessons fun, personally I looked forward to each of my lessons every week as there was always something new and exciting planned. Another great thing I loved was the use of an App to keep organised and seeing your progress, it really helped to see where you were at and there were little notes written near the lessons to recap what happened. This really helped with understanding and becoming more confident by seeing the improvement in driving skills. Overall Jonathan has helped me become a confident driver and has helped me to achieve a first time pass which I was over the moon with!

Fantastic experience: I actually found 'Driving Ilkley' randomly online, but when I spoke to Jonathan,the owner,was immediately impressed by his calm acceptance of my unusual circumstances. Basically, at the grand old age of 53, I had yet to get round to taking my driving test. Sadly,recent personal circumstances meant that it was essential I held a licence. Jonathan is a truly gifted teacher- his calm and patient demeanour, together with practical yet insightful instruction meant even I was able to master manoeuvres which had previously eluded me. Thanks to alot of hard work on his and my part,I passed first time. This will change the lives of many people for the better. I highly recommend 'Driving Ilkley 'and can reassure anyone in a similar position to my own that this Driving School truly does cater for the individual. And would like to add my heartfelt thanks.

Fantastic experience: My friend recommended Driving Ilkley to me after I’d lost lots of confidence with my previous instructor and hated my lessons, to a point where I wanted to stop learning to drive completely. I switched instructors to begin learning with Jonathan and after 2 minutes of driving in the car with him on my first lesson I felt like I gained so much of my confidence back! I ended up really enjoying my lessons with Jonathan instead of dreading them like before, I then went and passed my driving test first time with just 1 minor fault. I can’t recommend Driving Ilkley enough, super accommodating to your schedule and a very simple process for booking your lessons and seeing your progress. Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed learning how to drive with Jon, I looked forward to every lesson. He always kept calm and approached teaching in a relaxed way, and always put me at ease. He knew exactly how to challenge me, to help me learn, whilst not pushing me too far, and always offering help if needed. Fantastic experience: Brill instructor, encouraging and very patient which really helped me to feel comfortable when learning. Has some good teaching techniques and is also flexible so able fit lessons in around work schedules etc. All around great experience and will recommend to anyone I know who is wanting to learn

Fantastic experience: Jonathon managed to fit me in some lessons very last minute at a really busy time so I'd be able to sit my test. I had learnt in Glasgow but needed an instructor to practice with in Ilkley and Jonathon was great! He was really calm and patient and made me feel really confident for my test, and I managed to pass first time with his guidance. Fantastic experience: Jonathan was a really good instructor so I gained confidence very quickly after a 20-year driving gap. He used lots of really good coaching techniques which was very encouraging. Fab reminders re UK road safety rules so don't regret it for a second.

Fantastic experience: Jonathan really is the best driving instructor by far! He is kind, patient, professional, friendly, encouraging, not patronizing or intimidating at all and there are never any awkward silences or feelings of being uncomfortable with him (and this is from someone who is nervous around new people) it is almost like you are just going for a drive with someone you have known for years! He is very knowledgeable and explains things in a way that make it very easy to take in, understand and remember. He always arrives on time and you always get your full lesson time without feeling rushed. I passed my theory first time because of him and I passed my driving test first time with only 2 faults! If I can achieve two first time passes with Jonathan after only having 7 lessons with him then I think that speaks volumes about just how great he really is! I will genuinely miss my lessons with Jonathan as I always had so much fun and I highly recommend choosing to have him as your driving instructor. If it wasn't for Jonathan I would not even be driving at all and I can't thank him enough for all he has done for me!

Fantastic experience: I had 16 driving lessons so far, and feel great progress and improvement in my driving skills. Yesterday we took a very challenging route and I felt a bit nervous at first. But my instructor Jonathan put my mind at ease by his proffessional guidance and I managed to complete the journey safely and with confidence. Hopefully, I will shortly be ready for my driving test, after a few more lessons.
