Negative experience: I didn't find it easy to learn with Peter, and only made it through the 4.5 of the initial lessons before we had to part ways. I found it hard to gel with him. For two of the lessons I also lost 20 minutes where he drove me to the other end of town to a very busy residential area he said was good for practicing in. Whilst I do understand this is common practice, he had said it was because where I live isn't appropriate for learning and yet he is currently teaching someone outside my window and in the past few weeks has been teaching them to turn outside my drive way. I didn't find him to be patient or reassuring for nervous drivers.

Fantastic experience: Peter is a great driving instructor and taught me very well, always providing feedback on how to improve all the way up to my test. I previously had some sporadic lessons before being a student of Peter's and he quickly learnt where my level was and structured the lessons accordingly. Would highly recommend him. You can also have a good chat with him very easily which is always handy!

Fantastic experience: Passed first time! 40+! Peter is a wonderful driving instructor. He set a perfect pace for me, particularly being a nervous driver at first. Lessons are planned in advance allowing for good weekly preparation. The focus is very much upon teaching good driving and road awareness not just getting through the test. Fantastic experience: amazing driving instructor with great prices

Fantastic experience: As a 40+ learner it was important to me to find the right instructor. I liked BJC's website straight away because of the wealth of help and advice offered on it. What I liked about Peter's teaching style is that he lets you find your own way and helps when you get stuck, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, particularly when it comes to manoevres. He has lots of stories from his interesting life to keep you entertained with when you get a bit more confident on the road. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: My daughter has just returned from her first driving lesson with BJC in floods of tears. Apparently Peter saw the For Sale sign outside our house and was more concerned that he would not make money teaching her to drive after the first 5 lessons for £10 as we would be moving away than he was teaching her to drive. It seems he had made his mind up that he was wasting his time with our daughter as soon as she got in the car as the first thing he said to her was "are you moving?". He continued to talk to her about making money and the cost of petrol and his time etc. The last thing he said was he could not teach her as he would not make any money. Perhaps if he had bothered to speak to us we would have told him we would be staying in the Herne Bay/Whitstable area and would have paid the £22 standard fee per lesson.

Fantastic experience: An excellent instructor with many years of experience! I found Peter to be very calm and patient and he gave me lots of confidence, i would certainly recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Peter was recommended to me by a friend, and I am very happy that I chose to have my lessons with him. From my first lesson - all the way to an hour before my test, the lessons were well planned and he made me focus on my weaker points to improve. Even though I was nervous to start off with, Peter was able to teach what to do to stop it from affecting my driving. He was also very flexible with the dates and times of my lessons - I once had to cancel a lesson two days before and it wasn't any problem! And of course - he was always on time. I would certainly recommend Peter to any learner, and I have very much enjoyed my lessons with him!

Fantastic experience: Peter is an extremely patient and diligent driving instructor. Unlike other instructors, he didn't just focus on what was needed to get me through the Theory and Practical tests, but taught me the both how to drive and how to be a responsible driver. With each lesson, we'd look at how I performed then worked on the my weakest skills in the next lesson until finally I was able to pass my test with flying colours! I enjoyed my lessons and highly recommend Peter to anyone who wants to learn to drive.

Fantastic experience: Very, very good instructor. Patient and always on time, never a time he was late. If your nervous like I was, you will soon be very comfortable and this will help you progress quickly. Certainly recommend to anyone looking to start lessons

Negative experience: Very terrible drive instructor, he is more nervous than me, he said my driving is not good and made him nervous, then he tried to put more pressure on me and tried to make me feel nervous, and yelled at me during the driving on the dual carriage way, which is very dangerous!!! during the lesson talked a lot about other things, even go to gas station to top up the diesel and buy some newspapers, try to distract me in order to make my performance worse so he could teach more lessons! Even my friends said he is taking advantage of me. He tried to make a lot of excuses said I am foreigner and I might need more time to understand the language (I was thinking what!!! I passed the GRE exam (One exam for postgraduate student) and I know more English words than you could understand) so need more driving hours, and during one lesson he said if I broken the car I have to pay by myself and the car is not insured for me! I already passed the theory test and I know the law. He is a terrible liar and the WORST instructor I have ever seen. Just for warning if you want to learn from him.
