Fantastic experience: An amazing instructor and would recommend 100%. Affordable and professional made my experience effortless.

Negative experience: I started doing lessons with Antony after my previous driving instructor fell ill and decided to stop working. I did a number of lessons with him. I had a lesson booked with him for 5:30pm he was under the impression it was booked for 5pm, a very simple mistake on his behalf ! He arrived at my house at 5 and I was inside. I received a message that he was outside, when I went outside he was very aggressive as he claims he was waiting for 10 minutes despite failing to ring my door bell ! He came up with the excuse he knocked on the door which is false as 3 adults were in the front room. After texting me to come outside he refused to take me on the lesson even after I suggested I could do a shorter time to fit in with his time table. Additionally, he said he would not take me on my test which is the end of this month, on his behalf I believe this is very unprofessional and a careless attitude considering it’s a very minor and simple mis understanding. I found him very impatient and very peculiar at times. He only offered lessons after dark and I wished to only do one hour one week as my test would be in daylight and driving at night is a quieter and a different experience therefore I did not want to waste money when my test will be in daylight. This appeared to aggravate him. I see that many responses from you Antony claim the bad reviews are not customers you have in your books, so if you come back and say I’m not in your books you are a liar as well as everything else. Finally I find Antonys decision to not take me on my test which is 2 weeks from now very vindictive.

Fantastic experience: I started learning 10 years ago for about 6 months and then stopped as lived in London and it was not a priority. I now needed my licence and its fair to say I started as a nervous driver. But after a few hours with Tony and his sense of humour, you are quickly disarmed and driving with confidence. He is brimming with knowledge and a step-by-step process of all of the detailed areas you need to know. Now after 4 months on the road, I can still hear Tony's voice, with that knowledge in my head. Thank you for getting me on the road.

Fantastic experience: Tony is a great driving instructor and always took the time to explain things fully to me and never got irritated when I would get things wrong. Tony makes you feel completely at ease when learning to drive and communicates professionally and patiently whilst still remaining friendly! If you want to learn to drive I would highly recommend Tony as a driving instructor

Fantastic experience: I hadn't driven for over 10 years, so I thought it would be responsible to have a refresher lesson as I'm going to be driving again next month. I had a refresher lesson with Tony last week - he was absolutely lovely, the lesson was very relaxed, and was structured in the most perfect way. Before driving, we went over all the basics, which was great and helped me to settle in. We started off in a very quiet neighbourhood, and did a few circuits there, before heading out onto the main roads once I was happy with everything. Luckily for me, the "muscle-memory" kicked in straight-away and I found driving the car as straight-forward as it always was - I imagine it's the same for most people! But what was most helpful was having Tony take a look at the wider aspects of my driving - i.e. use of mirrors, spacial awareness, movement between lanes etc. This is what I was most concerned about after not having driven for so long. Also, it was good to be able to chat to Tony about current driving trends, and new features in cars which have come in since I last drove in 2008. So anyway, if you haven't driven for a while, I strongly recommend a refresher lesson with Tony! And if you're a beginner, I'm sure he's the perfect instructor for you!

Fantastic experience: Tony is a lovely, patient teacher. Very clear when explaining what to do and how to do it. With his help and teaching I managed to pass first time with 2 minors. Very happy I chose to go with Tony, would recommend to anyone looking at learning to drive or in need of a refresher.

Fantastic experience: Needed a driving instructor a day before my driving test as my original driving instructor’s license expired. Tony Price kindly offered to help me on such short notice, and allowed me to do the test in his car with a lesson in the morning to help me adjust to the new car. Thankfully, I passed. Tony was very understanding and comforting during my short time with him, and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I have been learning with Tony over the past three months, after previously failing my test, 4 years ago, with another instructor and giving up. Tony came recommended by a neighbour through word-of-mouth. After 20 hours, it is with great pleasure that I can now say that I’ve passed my test today, on my 2nd attempt. I now wish I hadn’t waited 4 years! Tony was kind, knew what he was doing, always positive, and we’d chat our Saturday mornings away whilst learning simple yet effective techniques that make you a safe, competent and considerate driver. I highly recommend him!!

Fantastic experience: Just started the lessons with Anthony, and i am really enjoying it . It is a very good feeling to have some so patience and ready to help and answer any question and not make you feel uncomfortable while driving, just gives me the confidence i need as a new learner driver . highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Initially I was recommended and referred to Anthony James who is a very genuine guy and doesn’t leave you questioning yourself. At first it wasn’t clear as to if he was ideal. It was confirmed that he is the ideal instructor as he pushed me onto things that are compulsory to safe driving and learning the skills too. That kind of expertise, I would recommend. If you’re looking for banter as well as a good conversation and professionalism all in one? He is the guy!

Fantastic experience: The review from Hassan Mohamed is a false review as I recently asked Antony James who is currently my instructor and he didn’t have no recall of this name and has never been in contact with this person. Antony James has been my instructor for the past 6 months and has been nothing but patient and professional with teaching me to drive, I failed my theory twice previously and I’ve just recently passed this and I wouldn’t of been able to of done this without Antony’s excellent teaching. I would highly recommend Antony James driving school to anyone looking to start driving.
