Fantastic experience: Ian is an absolutely brilliant instructor! He was always patient, encouraging and very thorough in explaining things and the ‘why’ behind them, in order to help you understand the concepts in more detail. I particularly liked how he teaches you the skill of driving, rather than how to drive to pass a test. I also completed my pass plus with Ian, giving me much more confidence on the roads; by learning more about motorways and journey planning, as well as much more! He was really accommodating with fitting lessons around personal commitments. I cannot recommend learning to drive with Ian enough!

Fantastic experience: Ian is a great driving instructor and helped me to pass first time. More importantly though, he teaches you to drive safely rather than to just pass the test. I also really appreciate his flexibility in booking lessons, even doing an 8am driving lesson a Saturday!

Fantastic experience: Ian is a brilliant instructor and I cannot recommend him enough. He helped me become comfortable and confident with my driving and helped me pass my test on the second attempt (after an unfortunate mistake first time). He knows everything there is to know about becoming a competent driver and made things very clear for me to understand. Learning to drive was quite a strong personal goal for me over the last 6 months, and I certainly had some trying/frustrating lessons. But I always looked forward to every lesson, and enjoyed our chats about Star Wars, Marvel and board games! Ian was also great at fitting lessons around my schedule and helped me book in my tests in good time. I have already recommended him to a few friends/colleagues and I know they'll be in good hands.

Fantastic experience: Ian has been super patient while teaching. He is really professional and also very nice. He plan the time and the session in a very neat way. I’m super grateful that he being flexible to fit the lessons into my working diary. Plus, if you’re a Marvel or Star War fan, then you would have the best time while driving. :-)

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Ian to any pupil looking to learn how to drive safely on the roads. Ian was very good at coaching me and challenging me in areas I felt uncomfortable. On a personal note I got along with Ian very well and found him to be a very genuine and honest person. I passed my test first time and it couldn’t have been more comfortable. Whatever the outcome of my test had been I believe my experience with Ian to be incredibly valuable for my future on the road! On a further note Ian’s handling of my own test and lessons throughout this pandemic has been superb - and I could not be happier :)

Fantastic experience: Ian helped me to "recover" my driving skills after years of having not driven and I learned quite a lot from him. So much so that now that my 17-year old son is going to take his first driving lessons, the choice is obvious to us. I would definitely recommend Ian to anyone. What he does is not simply prepare you for a driving test. He will prepare you for a safe and confident driving for life. Thank you, Ian!

Fantastic experience: Learnt to drive with Ian in early 2013. A great instructor, we had some trying lessons in snow and dark around Cambridge but he was always supportive and reassuring. Passed first time as a direct consequence of Ian's instruction.

Fantastic experience: Very good instructor, always on time and very patient, plus reasonably priced, he managed to get me through my test and not only did I have the chief examiner I also had the chief examiner's examiner in the back of the car.
