Fantastic experience: Despite 9 years and 90,000 km of driving experience in India, I quickly realised I had much to learn about UK roads. Solo has been brilliant at identifying exactly what needed rectifying in my driving technique. His patient, supportive approach and keen eye for detail have been invaluable. Solo creates a warm, friendly atmosphere whilst maintaining professionalism and clear instruction. I'm still taking lessons with him and continue to see improvement with each session. For anyone transitioning to UK driving or complete beginners, Solo is an excellent choice - highly recommended!

Negative experience: I had an extremely disappointing experience with Soleiman at Solo School of Motoring and feel obligated to warn other learners—especially international students—before booking with him. I signed up specifically for an intensive driving course, which he confirmed multiple times. An intensive course should cover everything needed for the test—maneuvers, parking, test route preparation—within a short time frame. After more than 16 hours of lessons, none of this had been covered. The pace was slow, disorganized, and completely contrary to what was promised. The lessons themselves were also incredibly stressful and unpleasant. He frequently yelled, gave wrong instructions, and showed no patience or understanding, even though I clearly explained that I’m an international student with no prior experience driving in the UK. The environment was tense and unprofessional throughout. After deciding to cancel future lessons, I requested a refund for the remaining hours. At first, he agreed to a partial refund—but when I mentioned I had reported his conduct to the DVSA, he threatened to withhold all refund money unless I withdrew my complaint. This is totally unacceptable and shows a clear lack of professionalism and accountability. This experience has wasted my time and money, delayed my test, and caused serious frustration. I truly believe this instructor is taking advantage of vulnerable students, especially those unfamiliar with the UK system.

Fantastic experience: Best driving instructor if you want to learn driving or want to improve your skills. He understood what my level of driving is on the first assessment drive and pointed of exactly what I'm doing wrong, what I'm good at and how to improve. I saw much important on my first session. Will be doing more. Highly recommended

Negative experience: My son prepaid & booked a lesson with this instructor a few days ago but when it came to the lesson the instructor didn't turn up. He instead text my son wanting to meet down an alley as he didn't want to be seen on the CCTV. So, he failed to turn up and has kept the money ignoring all contact! Clearly a fraudster as he's avoiding cameras. A genuine instructor would have turned up! Reported to police! Beware of this so called instructor! In reply to the comment left by this instructor... My son does not live above a shop. He lives at flats with over 2 dozen guest & visitor parking spaces plus, as explained by my son, the flat comes with it's own parking spot and it's empty! Second, your text states that you don't want to be seen on CCTV, why not? Why are you avoiding cameras? Third, there was no further contact from yourself, no texts or calls! you failed to show up for the driving lesson and you failed to return the money for the lesson. My son has proof of your text which has been forwarded to the police.

Fantastic experience: After I failed my 1st test in London, Sol helped me prepare for the retake on completely new roads in Llantrisant. Looking back the first fail was a blessing in disguise because Sol taught me many a superior technique that allowed me to pass with two minors and have massive confidence beyond the test. We worked only two days together to achieve this result!

Fantastic experience: Before driving with Solo I had failed two tests and was very nervous. But the instructor at Solo had a very structured program, and always took the time to explain things patiently and I learned a lot. I just passed with one minor fault and am delighted! Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: I had the worst experience. The teacher was bad and immoral. He kept yelling at me, which caused me confusion and tension, and I did not want to continue learning with him.

Fantastic experience: I just passed my driving test and would highly recommend Soleiman! He’s a thoughtful, patient and kind instructor. Always professional and supportive! I was learning to drive in the UK after having driven in the USA for years and Soleiman helped me identify the differences in British rules, clearly explained the expectations for the exam and took extra time and care when I was doing things (like parallel parking or sharing tiny roads) for the first time. It was great to learn on an automatic as well! Really grateful to have found such an excellent instructor. Thanks Soleiman!

He is always up to date with all information needed and will make sure to teach you in the teaching manner that suits you best. Fantastic experience: I can't thank Sol enough. It was a tough few months as playing GTA and Need for Speed clearly did not prepare me to drive on the road. I was anxious and had issues with observation, planning ahead amongst others. But he was patient, helped correct my mistakes, took the time to psych me up when I was having bad driving days, and I'm proud to say that I've passed my test first time! Can't recommend him enough if you are in Cardiff and want to learn on an automatic.

Always punctual and accomodating of your schedule, Mr Soleiman is patient, calm and will explain everything you need to know to you on how to drive safely and properly. He uses textbooks, diagrams and also dash cam video playbacks to show you your errors and works hard with you to fix them. Rest assured, you will get value for your money as he will make sure you are test ready. I can say that I have benefitted so much from his many years of professional driving experience. I am so excited, I passed my driving test first time yesterday even as an international driver converting to the UK system!

Fantastic experience: Since starting lessons with no previous driving experience, I have now had around 40 hours in the (automatic) car with Soleiman. I have found him to be very professional, patient and - as a former AA instructor - extremely knowledgable. I found the pricing and flexibility around work and other commitments very good and, as someone that initially struggled with steering and multi-tasking, appreciate the time Soleiman takes to go over anything you are not getting to grips with. Soleiman has Dash Cam inside the car, which can be used to demonstrate where things have maybe not been quite right, and also uses clear diagrams and sends informative reading to help develop your driving skills. I would thoroughly recommend Solo School of Motoring.
