Negative experience: PLEASE READ These people are scammers I don’t know where the rest of these good reviews are coming from but they are thieves. They take bookings for CBT’s then cancel the night before and don’t refund people or reschedule. STAY AWAY!!!!

Negative experience: Cancelled 10 at night the day before, been trying the phone number, emails and Facebook for over a week now with no response back for a refund

Fantastic experience: The instructor was very calm, friendly and decent. He focused on very tiny possible mistakes while teaching us and I passed my CBT with such a supportive instructor. Very pleasant moment.

Negative experience: Take your money then cancel a day before your lesson. Do not use this company, complete rip off. Look elsewhere to save you money and time. A right bunch of crooks.

Fantastic experience: I just completed some training for my mod 1 with Steve in Birmingham and really enjoyed the morning. Did my CBT with Dave so wasn't sure on what the other instructors would be like but Steve was helpful, explaining why he wanted me to do things in a certain way which I personally appreciated, and we had a good laugh whilst learning the control for mod 1. Wouldn't go anywhere else for my training other than these guys, if you're in doubt take this review as the go ahead to book with ORMT :)

Negative experience: Travelled fairly far for the training and they call me 5 minutes before the lesson is supposed to begin, only to tell me that the instructor had been throwing up and that they would need to reschedule to next week.

Fantastic experience: Passed my full motorcycle test not long ago with these guys, amazing service and very friendly. Nick and Dec know their stuff. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Amazing Instructors completed my CBT with them 2 years ago and came back for my Mod 1 and 2. Nick managed to get them back to back with a day of training. Instructors live in the real world and can have a laugh with you.

Fantastic experience: Having obtained my Full A driving license in August within a month or so during covid times, I have been very positively surprised about that motorcycle driving school. All the monitors and staff make you feel as part of the motorcyclist community, sharing openly their passion and keeping the security aspects at the core of the learning, which is key for success. Good tips and advices, professionalisim, good availability to pass the different tests, fair price, I recommend.

Fantastic experience: My Son did his CBT today with Open aroad in Redditch. After a poor experience with another Midlands form, he was apprehensive. Leigh and Pete were amazing. Fantastic experience: The staff were very friendly and encouraging plus the service from them was brilliant. They helped me with both passing my test and gave me some recommendations on options for what bike to get once I did pass as I am slightly on the short side. Overall brilliant experience and would recommend to anybody planning on riding a motorcycle.

My whole experience with Open Road was a delight, from the initial contact with Leigh, his flexibility with the bikes, his openness to my suggestions, through to the support from all the trainers and especially Nick. Nick's calmness, patience and empathy got me through both modules - he adapted his training to suit me. As a female biker I found the whole adventure exciting and one of the best things to have done with the best team of bikers!

Fantastic experience: Just passed my MOD1 and MOD2 first time with open road. After having a bad experience with a local CBT school its was amazing to be taught buy instructors that actually know what they are on about. Cant recommend Pete enough as a instructor, super patient and straight to the point with his instructions, gave me the confidence to pass each test with ease. Bikes are new and well maintained and all the admin of booking tests etc is taken care of by Lee in the office. Couldn't have asked for anything more, top notch school and instructors. Thank you. Si

Fantastic experience: I used open road for both my CBT and DAS course, Leigh was extremely helpful in giving me the relevant information and explaining how everything would work. Nick was my instructor for both courses and was calm and patient instilling confidence and correcting my faults. Thanks to Nick i passed both mod one & two first time, with just one minor due to being slow through the speed trap(sorry Nick). Overall really friendly guys and a great experience. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I made a new years resolution to get myself a motorbike. I just needed to pass my tests and learn to ride a bike... Booked myself in January 2018 and had an amazing but very wet day passing my CBT with Pete my instructor. Pete not only corrected on what I should be learning (which was how to ride a bike safely (do that and you pass the tests by default)) but also gave advice on kit and first motorbike to buy. 2500 miles clocked up on a Honda CB125f later and one motorcycle theory test taken and passed, resulted in another phonecall to Leigh to book my mod1 and mod2 tests. Pete was my instructor again along with Nick and had an awesome two days. Unfortunately no free mod2 test slots available. So onto August, with Leigh booking me in for an extra day. Pete was a great instructor and made me reflect on how I should respond to hazards on the road and planning ahead as far as possible. He also nagged and gave encouragement (because putting theory into practice is never instantaneous). I actually felt I had failed my mod2 at the end of it... I actually passed with one minor fault (I waited for the examiner to catch up... Don't wait for the examiner! ) Pete had drilled into me about my positioning that I was able to reflect on how I could have done the whole test better and more safely. Pete didn't believe in just getting me to pass my test. He believed in making each new biker the safest and best biker they could be. I write this staring at my Honda vfr800 a thing of beauty and danger (0 to 60 in 3.5 secs) and I am really thankful for the guys at Open Road for giving me the confidence to enjoy the thrill of motorbiking. The commute will never be the same again!

Fantastic experience: Passed first time!! Test centre was really flexible as I couldn’t take much time off work. I had Warwick as my instructor & he was top notch, laid back & very informative, easy to understand & follow. Everyone at the riding school was really friendly & very adaptable, which I needed being 17 weeks pregnant when I started (not good timing I know).

Bikes were brilliant (new, well maintained and FAST) Training approach was well structured Price is competitive and I should say fair for the lessons you get If you want to get proper lessons then go to Open road. I've seen 2 training schools and now I know the difference.

Fantastic experience: My sister recommended this place to me after passing her A2 licence. Travelled up from london to do it and it was well worthwhile. Passed my Mod 1 and Mod 2 first time here. Really patient and thorough instruction from Nick, even when I stopped being able to do the figure of eight after a days worth of training! Leigh was great in trying to accommodate me after my first attempt to pass was stopped by the snow. Thanks for the brekkie too Nick! 100% would recommend

Fantastic experience: Passed Mod1 and Mod2 first time just over 6 weeks ago. Excellent training from Nick. Very calm and patient. Apologies to you for having to pick up so many cones! Recommend to anyone for DAS. Also very good bikes compared to many other schools and much more reasonable in terms of price compared to other schools who seem to drag it out and the cost mounts up. Fantastic experience: Just passed my mod 1 first time and mod 2 first time with Pete at openroad, he is a great instructor and very friendly. I had a bad experience on my cbt with ANOTHER school and knocked my confidence. Pete changed that and built up my confidence on the 650. Just wish I found openroad 1st. Would definitely recommend this school and the owner Lee is very friendly and was understanding of my needs, so paired me up with the right instructor. Cheers Pete.
