Fantastic experience: I passed my test today after learning with Dawn for around 6 months. I came to Dawn with a lot of anxiety and negative thinking around driving after a previous failed test, but her measured, patient approach soon had me looking forward to lessons rather than worrying about them! She encouraged me to take a lot more agency in my lessons, deciding what to focus on and where to drive. This made me feel more actively involved in the learning process, and able to see my own progress as the weeks went by. Dawn also helped me realise that some of the formulaic thinking I'd learned from previous instructors wasn't working for me, and encouraged me to develop a more natural and flexible approach to driving. Though I had a few frustrating moments along the way, Dawn's calm approach and sense of humour helped me reach my goal! I would heartily recommend her for any learner, especially anxious drivers, learners getting back on their feet after a failed test or a long time off driving, and "mature" learners. Thank you Dawn!

I had next to no experience before starting and didn’t have loads of time before my practical test date. But she got me very well prepared for my test and i passed.

Fantastic experience: I have just completed refresher driving lessons with Dawn. I have been driving for over 30 years, but I have lost my confidence to drive especially on motorways and dual carriageways. Dawn put me at ease straight away. Fantastic experience: Highly recommend using Dawn as a driving instructor. She is extremely knowledgeable and helped me to build confidence driving a manual. We did an initial assessment of my driving skills (US license) and she accurately suggested how many hours it would take me to learn the skills and requirements for driving in the UK. Easy to coordinate with and built out a suitable schedule of lessons leading up to my exam.

Fantastic experience: Dawn helped me so much with getting over the fear of driving and building confidence. Before having lessons with Dawn, I thought I'd never be able to drive on the road, but after a couple sessions, I was even enjoying to learn everything about driving, and just passed the test without any minors! Fantastic experience: Being a really nervous driver I didn’t think I’d ever be able to pass my driving test. Dawn made the lessons easy and got me to the point where I could do roundabouts laughing instead of stressing. When I got my own car she did lessons with me in it so I could get used to it and When coming up to my test dates she sourced therapy techniques and even a conversation with a therapist to help with techniques to get me through. I passed today with no minors and am so so pleased. Would 100% recommend Dawn, especially if you are a nervous driver. Thank you so so much Dawn for putting up with me x

Fantastic experience: I was very anxious about driving when I started with Dawn, and she was so kind, calm and supportive—really taking the time to work through my problem areas and challenge my negative thought patterns. She really does her utmost to help you feel comfortable and work at your own pace, giving me the chance to set my own goals and decide what I wanted to work on lesson by lesson. Where some instructors are keen to just teach you how to pass a test, Dawn’s teaching style encourages you to thoroughly understand all aspects of driving in a way that empowers you to make your own decisions. Fantastic experience: I came to Dawn as a really nervous driver after being pushed way too fast by my previous instructor. She was infinitely patient and unflappable and did a great job of building my confidence and pushing me until I passed my test. Would highly recommend her, and she uses her extra coaching skills to really empower you as a learner. We had lots of chats and laughs along the way too, which definitely helped. Book her!

Fantastic experience: I had to stop driving due to illness and after my recovery did not drive for several years. Having now bitten the bullet to get back on the road I had some driving lessons with Dawn to get my confidence back and cannot recommend her highly enough. She is calm, unflustered and professional giving measured common sense advice applied with a relaxed attitude which massively instilled confidence in me. When I made mistakes she gently guided me and made me believe that I was indeed more than capable of driving again. Dawn also has the honesty and integrity not to say you need more lessons when you don't.

Fantastic experience: Passed today with Dawn , her teaching approach is very attentive and calm. I was always made very comfortable in each lesson and learned many valuable tips and tricks. She was my second instructor and was just meant to be a temporary refresher lesson teacher but I learned more in the 10 hours or so in lessons with her than the 20+ with my previous instructor. Also, she responds very promptly to messages so I was able to book a last minute test without any issues on her side.

Fantastic experience: I started with Dawn early Nov and passed my test mid Dec! Dawn was great and really put me at ease, she's professional but also relaxed enough to be able to have a bit of a laugh. The LDC method is much better than a previous driving school I tried a few years back, the lessons are well structured and you are in complete control of the pace. Each session brought some new skills to learn which kept things interesting and challenging, without ever feeling overwhelmed. I really enjoyed our lessons, I think I'm going to miss them now that I've passed! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Dawn was my driving instructor for 5 months. With no previous driving experience, learning to drive had its up’s and downs. Some lessons driving really well and others were confusing and difficult as I learned the co-ordination and road knowledge necessary to be a proficient, safe driver. Throughout all this Dawn was my calm and patient guide. Not only is Dawn a knowledgable instructor, she understands that every person is an individual and has the talent to be able to change her coaching style which enabled me to get the best from every lesson with her. She encouraged me to think for myself in situations as they occurred on the road and then took time after to discuss how those decisions effected other road users and myself in a non-judgemental way allowing me to learn from my mistakes and become a competent driver. This was a valuable exercise; now when driving i am very aware of traffic and my surroundings and always plan ahead for what could happen. Dawn is a calm under pressure and i always felt safe when driving with her. Her previous jobs as a bus driver and police constable combined with her advanced driving skills I feel informs how she teaches her learner drivers the rules of driving and the roadway to a very high standard. I cannot recommend Dawn enough, she was absolutely an amazing instructor who genuinely cares about her students and is focused on making them safe and skilled drivers. Thank you so much Dawn!

Fantastic experience: Driving did not come easily to me by any means, but Dawn's patience, kindness and open communication boosted my confidence greatly. I enjoyed how the learning was thorough yet structured, and Dawn always takes the time to untangle any difficulties and ensure you have understood. She is incredibly calm, attentive, measured and observant. You can tell she really cares about her learners and wants the best for them, and continues to support them long after they have passed. Fantastic experience: After multiple failed driving tests and having been taught to drive by a few instructors over a handful of years, I was ready to give up learning to drive before I started lessons with Dawn. She is patient, accommodating, kind and goes the extra mile for her students. She adapted her style of teaching to what worked and made sense for me. She was always calm and collected, no matter how stressful things got! I always felt comfortable and relaxed during the lessons. I found the LDC workbook very helpful to use when reflecting on my learning and to clarify what we had covered during the lesson. I couldn't recommend the LDC driving school and Dawn enough! Not only has Dawn helped me to finally pass my test, she has given me the essential skills of being a safe and confident driver, which I will take forward with me. Thankyou!

Fantastic experience: Learning to drive with Dawn was literally a dream. I don’t think I’ve ever been made to feel more comfortable when learning a new and challenging skill. I think the entire LDC approach, including the book and videos, really helps provide the basis for an organic, supportive and motivational way of learning, but for me it was Dawn’s compassionate, friendly, understanding and respectful teaching style and wonderful personality that gave me the confidence and the tools to pass. Fantastic experience: I would like to say a big thanks to Dawn for helping me pass my driving test. Dawn is a brilliant driving instructor and I would recommend her to anyone! She is calm, patient and guided me through the whole process providing excellent knowledge and skills. Dawn was always reassuring, corrected mistakes in a positive and constructive way and she always gave clear instructions. She really put me at ease and I actually enjoyed learning to drive! She was very accommodating with booking lessons around my work, which made the whole experience easier. I found the book and videos really helpful to look at the before upcoming lesson and Dawn helped me apply it all. I would highly recommend Dawn.

Fantastic experience: Dawn was great throughout the entire process. By using the book and her coaching, she was able to give me clear instructions in how I would progress in terms of my driving and increased my confidence on the road lesson by lesson, allowing me to go at my own pace and not forcing me to do things I felt uncomfortable doing. Even when mistakes were made, Dawn remained calm and talked you out of the situation and then allowed time to reflect, meaning you learnt very quickly from your errors and they were often not repeated. I would recommend Dawn for anyone in the Brighton area.

Fantastic experience: It’s hard to summarise the extent to which Dawn and the LDC method improved my confidence and ability to drive. Having spent a year, and failed three driving tests, with a different driving instructor and driving school, I had all but given up on learning to drive. Dawn’s supportive, calm, respectful and friendly manner signalled an immediate shift from what I was used to. It took a little under a year but with the help of Dawn, the LDC handbook and the various video resources Dawn sent me, I gained the ability to drive safely and with confidence. From encouraging me to exercise my own judgement during manoeuvres to discussing, managing and learning to deal with actions that made me anxious, such as busy traffic circles and pulling over somewhere “safe, legal and convenient”, Dawn truly went above and beyond in ensuring I felt comfortable and confident when driving alongside staying accountable for my own and other road users and/or pedestrians safety. It took me a while to pass my test, but I’m soo glad that when I did pass it was with Dawn. Because, not only did I pass first time with Dawn (with only two minors), I know that because of her help and guidance I’m ready to embark on a lifetime of safe and enjoyable driving.

Fantastic experience: This is my third attempt at driving and this time around was a completely different experience, Dawn makes you feel at ease and my confidence grew so quickly! She let's you go at your own pace and you can let her know any problems you have!! Ive just passed my test with all her help and I cannot thank her enough!!!!

Fantastic experience: Before meeting Dawn I had failed my driving test and lost confidence on the road. She not only helped me pass my test but has made me a really confident driver now that I am on the road. Fantastic experience: Dawn is a wonderful driving instructor. Having previously begun lessons with another company and not made the progression I should have I was recommended Dawn by a colleague who had just passed her test under Dawn's tuition. I immediately found Dawn to be a patient, methodical, professional and supportive instructor. Dawn also has a wonderful sense of humor and made lessons very fun and enjoyable. Her lessons were always well structured and Dawn would often email me further information, tips and help between lessons. All maneuvers and techniques were explained clearly and thoroughly, and Dawn would always take the time to make sure that I fully understood a maneuver before moving on. I always felt comfortable with Dawn and her lessons have given me a real confidence as a new driver. I could not recommend Dawn enough!
