Fantastic experience: I had taken driving lessons a few years ago with another instructor which just didn't work out due to my nervousness & lack of confidence. When I contacted David he absolutely put me at ease, built up my confidence & I passed!!!!A true gentleman.

Negative experience: Wanted me to do a lesson every week and become annoyed whenever I told him that I wanted to practice with a family member and go to him every couple weeks. He said that would bring arguments, though im not sure why someone would argue to a man who does this as a career. I told him that he'd always be right obviously, being the instructor, but he wasn't having it. As the £45 was already paid we went out after being told this would be my first and last lesson. On the drive I had asked him about blind spots. He was ignorant and asked what my dad would say every time I asked what 'he' would say - being the man who I paid to tell me how to drive. He didn't tell me whether I was right and I wasn't able to learn much from him. He was on his tablet half the time and It ended with no feedback. Overall, I'm happy it was only one lesson wasted. He was unprofessional and I believe cared more about the money of getting someone to book block lessons than to actually teach someone who waited a month to pay for his service.

Negative experience: It’s been a few years now since I passed my test (after switching instructors) and every so often as i pass David I see the same thing every single time. Him looking down paying more attention to his phone/whatever is on his lap than to the lesson. My Facebook review seems to have gone missing and therefore I feel it’s only right to repost so people looking for a decent instructor can see who to avoid. Also just from reading other reviews I can confidently confirm this is the correct company. “honestly feel like I’ve been scammed after paying for ten lesson would give no stars if I could. Constantly on his phone and not paying attention to the lesson. Learnt absolutely nothing bar that I was “a bad driver”. If i was truly a ‘bad driver’ David surely should be paying for more attention to the road instead of his phone. I had received lessons with a different instructor prior to David. When he went of holiday I was keen to learn Manoeuvers before he got back. Not one manoeuvre was taught throughout the full ten lessons no matter how many times I asked. David was very rude to me and I would 10000% NOT recommend, especially if you actually want to learn how to drive x”

Fantastic experience: David is a brilliant instructor, very patient and thorough which meant I wasn't afraid to ask questions and felt confident going in for my test which I passed first time. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to get started.

Fantastic experience: David is an absolutely fantastic driving instructor and I can't recommend him enough to anyone wanting to achieve their dreams of driving and getting that ultimate pass. He is an all round truly decent family man with a wealth of knowledge and expertise on how to help you learn to drive. He is supportive, patient and builds up a great rapport with his pupils. I had tried driving many many years ago and failed disastrously. I only passed due to an excellent instructor who made everything go as smoothly as possible on the day, even with god awful nerves! I honestly never thought I'd get there and astonishingly passed first time with David with very little minors. This isn't just a job to David - he truly cares that pupils do well and will prepare you thoroughly in order to have the best chance of passing your test. Don't waste your time and hard earned money going with anyone else!

Fantastic experience: Just done my test and passed with no minors at all yeeehaaa!!. David is a great instructor, and not getting even a minor fault is all down to David's excellent instruction and attention to detail. Thanks again David for all your help. Brian Whinnery.

Fantastic experience: i would highly recommend david, very friendly and he made me feel comfortable from my first lesson! he goes at your own pace and there was no problem with wanting to go over certain aspects of driving that i wasn’t 100% with. he has a great way of teaching that made me feel very at ease on the roads. i couldn’t recommend david enough to anyone!!

Fantastic experience: An excellent tutor who got me through the test on the first attempt. Prompt, professional and experienced, David was able to identify and work with any issues I experienced. I'm a mature student and can be set in my ways but he was able to identify areas of improvement and not only show me corrections but also, importantly, explain why they needed corrected. Would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: David was an amazing instructor and I felt very comfortable even from the first lesson. He was very accommodating with lesson times as I could only do them after 6pm during the week and he even arranged times on a Saturday to allow lessons then. David was great at explaining things and even when I did not get it first time, he changed his approach in a way that would help me understand. I felt very comfortable asking questions and even when I got overwhelmed (and cried) he provided supported and joked about to allow me to feel at ease. I would highly recommend David to anyone and I know I will be a successful driver because of him.

Negative experience: Felt more like I was being supervised than taught and that very little attention was being paid to me, yet I was always far from test ready... Went to John's motoring school for 2 lessons and felt like i had learned more in those 2 hours than I did in 11 lessons from David. If you are looking for just practice in a car or just building confidence then David would be good, but if you are looking taught i would recommend John.

Fantastic experience: Amazing instructor, helped me a lot with all of my manoeuvres and explained them to me step by step, he is very patient and helps you a lot, he is very nice and polite and with his driving school I passed first time. Fantastic experience: Passed first time. Found it incredibly helpful how the manoeuvres were broken down into steps and also the markers placed in the car were an excellent guide to help get the hang of each manoeuvre. Very patient and fair, easy to get along with. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: David is a fantastic instructor, I had a real fear of driving and from the moment I met him, he couldn't of been more understanding and gave me the confidence to actually leave the car park and go out on the road. I had driving instructors before, who put themselves before me, but I can truly say that David cares and his teaching methods are superb. So I would definitely recommend him to everyone especially the nervous drivers who just need that extra personal touch of someone who loves and enjoys his job.

Fantastic experience: David, of David's School of Motoring, is a professional, patient and skilled driving instructor. He helped me develop a learning plan and pushed me to succeed. He made me feel very at ease and helped me build my confidence as a driver. After four months of driving, I was ready to take my test. He helped me book my theory and my practical test and made sure I was ready. He uses up-to-date modern technology to improve his learning tools and the overall experience for the student. Thanks to David's School of Motoring, I now feel that I am a safe and responsible driver. I would recommend him to anyone, whether you are learning to drive for the first time or like me, have driven before and want to take your test. I am a happy student!
