Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend Wayne enough as a driving instructor! Super friendly and made me feel incredibly safe and comfortable in the car, even after I had spent years struggling to learn to drive, dealing with dyspraxia and anxiety. After years of struggle and a few failed tests with previous instructors, I spent just 8 months with Wayne, saw a huge improvement and then passed on my next try! A really fantastic and incredibly accommodating driving instructor. If you need lessons in or around Drighlington/Morley, this is the man to choose!

I was absolutely petrified to drive a car, shy and lacked confidence on my first lesson, learning to drive has been a really tough process for me. Wayne made me feel comfortable with him straight away and really took the time to get to know me and my learning style, adapting my training throughout. Especially helping me get my mindset right (anxiety management) for test, as this really effected my driving ability. The growth and skills I have gained learning with Wayne have transpired in my personal life. Wayne teaches you beyond test standard, so you are more of a safe and confident driver forever. Fantastic experience: Wayne was brilliant with aiding me with my anxiety around driving, He was incredibly reliable, honest and easy to get along with. Never once did he get annoyed or frustrated with me ( I did that for the both of us) and we always discussed any driving issues/concerns and moved on, if you want a driving instructor who isn't just after your money then I strongly recommend Wayne.

Fantastic experience: Wayne is an absolutely fantastic driving teacher. I use the word teacher because he gives students bespoke lesson plans that allow you to progress but also let you see how far you have come. As someone who thought they would not enjoy driving and saw it more as a “I need to get from A to B” scenario, Wayne taught me not only how to drive, but also how I can enjoy it. Wayne teaches you to drive beyond just passing the test and now that I’m driving independently I feel confident and I know I have the skills to be able to do so. Thank you again Wayne!

Fantastic experience: Wanted to do a pass plus course Wayne got back to me very quickly and booked me in straight away he was very patient explained everything perfectly in every little detail l, didn’t end up needing the full pass plus course and instead of him taking advantage and my money he advised to not do a full 6 hours and only charged me for the motorway lesson. I feel so much more confident on motorways and country lanes all thanks to Wayne!

Fantastic experience: Wayne is an exemplary driving instructor and without his dedicated tuition and (at times saint-like patience) I wouldn’t have passed my test at 53! I had tried other instructors but on meeting Wayne I was immediately struck by his professionalism, and as time progressed, his genuine and unrelenting passion to help his students succeed. When I lacked confidence Wayne methodically and sensitively helped me to overcome driver faults and reshaped my thinking and outlook - all with a pinch of good old-fashioned Yorkshire humour. My test took place on a bleak January morning between snow flurries and episodes of blinding sunshine on surface water. Despite my dread, I remained calm and just instinctively followed Wayne’s training techniques to the letter, at every junction, turn and road marking and I passed with just one minor fault. So, right now if you’re scouring the internet or are wavering as I once did… don’t waste anymore time! Fantastic experience: I literally can’t say enough positive things about Wayne. I spoke to many driving schools Prior to Leeds driving instruction-automatic and just didn’t get the good feeling I got when speaking to him. He took the time to call me, explain the process how he works etc. I began my driving journey an anxious mess! During my time life events kept happening that just threw me off track a lot mentally. Wayne is the most patient, calm & amazing instructor you could possibly have. Not only a driving instructor but felt like a life coach also! He helped me massively! Fantastic experience: Can't recommend Wayne enough. He's been extremely personable as an instructor; getting to know me, my behaviour, and my personality, to tailor the whole learning experience. I made it through some rough patches but we got the pass first time. Once I was ready for the test, Wayne let me know - he wasn't trying to eek more money out of me for more lessons, he was just genuine throughout. What a nice bloke, and a cracking school.

Fantastic experience: Wayne was such an amazing instructor, my previous lessons hadn't gone very well and had a very serious impact on my confidence behind the wheel, however after telling Wayne about this he was able to calm me before every lesson and was able to make me feel at ease everytime I got into the car! I couldn't recommend Wayne enough, not only was it the best experience I could of asked for but he was also the best instructor I could ask for, he was even able to deal with my busy schedule to make the lessons work! Fantastic experience: After 12 years of not been in a car on a Driving lesson, I found Wayne! And thank god I did! 4 months pregnant I was determine to get my licence before due date 30.1.22... after 27 hours of lessons I passed first time at 9 months pregnant on the 4.1.22 with 2 minors!! I couldn’t be any happier!! Even with struggles of Covid and having to rearrange lessons so close to test date, he was 100% supportive, with me considering altering the date of my test he urged me not to as he had confidence in me and my abilities. Wayne is a very encouraging teacher and gives you the confidence you may not have in yourself with certain parts of your driving, unsure on anything he will explain or demonstrate in a way that suits your learning! I couldn’t be more thankful for such a professional, understanding, kind, funny teacher, his dad jokes are the highlight of every lesson.

Fantastic experience: Having never driven a car before and transitioning from riding a motorbike to a car was really tough for me in my first few sessions. Wayne however always believed in me and tought me so much over the short period of time I have been learning. Fantastic experience: Started lessons with Wayne last summer, nervous and a bit embarrassed as I felt like id left learning much later than I wanted to! From very early on Wayne had me figured out, how I learn, how I process information and always catered to my learning style. I learnt to make mistakes, accept them and move on - difficult when you want to get it perfect every time. When I could have done better, Wayne would tell me. Fantastic experience: My Report on Driving Instructor Wayne HawleyI was 80 years old suffering from ME and recovering from a stroke. I had a driving test with William Merritt Disability centre through the Occupational Therapist to see whether I was fit to Drive. Their report said I could drive, but overall, it was not a good report and recommended that I needed more driving experience. I had lost my confidence and was not pleased by the criticisms made of my driving skills. I decided that I needed to improve my driving and looked for a driving instructor. I drive an automatic car and went on to the internet to find a driving instructor. I found Mr Wayne Hawley. It was the best decision I ever made. Wayne was patient and respectful of my driving experience. Wayne took me through different driving experiences, through different types traffic and roads including the motorway, finding out what I needed to brush up on and where I made mistakes. At the end of each lesson we had a review highlighting not only the points I needed to watch and also what I was good and proficient at. Another thing that impressed me was the fact that he told me that I did not need any more lessons when I would have carried on paying for many more. Mr Wayne Hawley’s calmness, patience, alertness and honesty would make me recommend this instructor to anyone learning to drive, whatever their age, you would certainly be in a safe pair of hands. All of my friends and family told me how most people don't pass first time. Wayne told me he would not ask me to book my test until I was ready and I would pass first time. And I did. Fantastic experience: Wayne is a friendly, approachable instructor with great methods. I had struggled with other instructors but he helped me overcome my nerves by breaking driving down step by step and taught me how to be a safe and competent driver as a result. I work full time so I found it difficult to find an instructor who could fit around my schedule, but Wayne is very flexible and always finds time for a lesson. Could not recommend enough!
