Fantastic experience: Ive had quite a lot of hours worth of lessons with Ian to say the least as it’s taken me a while to feel confident with driving. This has absolutely nothing to do with Ian’s ability to teach as I probably would have needed many, many more hours if I went with someone else. Not only has Ian been the most patient, knowledgeable, and professional driving instructor but also a brilliant counsellor at times! He would never bite my head off for making silly mistakes or asking stupid questions and has always been extremely thorough when explaining things and giving examples. I couldn’t have chosen a better instructor to help me finally gain my independence and learn one of life’s most valuable skills. Getting my pink license was a struggle, but it’s well worth it for the relief and sense of freedom and I can’t thank Ian enough for being there every step of the way!

Fantastic experience: Ian, was a amazing teacher, who has not only showed me how to drive, but how to be safe and considerate. He had spent a long time teaching me and been patient not only in my driving but helped control my nerves on my test date, I would highly recommend to anyone who has any struggles with anxiety or battle of the mind with driving.

Fantastic experience: The best instructor i’ve had, after two years i’ve finally passed however Ian has been the most supportive person when it comes to driving, always working around my schedule at uni and work to make sure I was confident enough to pass. Each lesson I felt better within my driving due to having such a great instructor who actually cares about his students and wants them to succeed. Couldn’t recommend anyone better to teach someone to drive, especially as I was quite a nervous driver who spoke every second and got distracted very easily. Ian happily put up with this and made sure I felt comfortable and safe whilst managing distractions and overthinking to eventually pass. many thanks to him.

Fantastic experience: Ian was a great help for me as parents to check they are up-to-date when also helping with additional lessons. The app works really well especially in helping Finn pass the hazards test. Ian was very knowledgeable and flexible. Finn enjoyed his lessons.

Fantastic experience: I has an amazing experience driving with Ian. He made sure I was comfortable with everything that we was doing in that lesson and made sure I understood what I needed to do. Every lesson I would get in the car and be abit nervous but Ian understood how I felt and made sure that I was ok and happy with what we was going to do. Fantastic experience: Started lessons with Ian towards the end of last year after giving up on driving due my horrendous anxiety and nerves towards the roads. However as soon as I started lessons, Ian completely changed my mindset and got me to love driving again! He was very patient, supportive and overall made me feel very comfortable behind the wheel! Passed with only 3 minors and couldn’t recommend enough!

I was really nervous to start driving lessons, but Ian put me at ease with calm, patient lessons allowing me to go over things as many times as I needed. Fantastic experience: Ian has been brilliant - our son lost some confidence with his first instructor being a bit of a 'shouter' then failed his test. After explaining the position to Ian on a pretty extensive call. We arranged an assessment lesson and he talked us through how he'd rebuild his confidence and get him through the test. He's been brilliant, patient, well organised, reliable and importantly today has the magic pass and is a confident competent young driver. Can't thank Ian enough for the professional brilliant service highly recommend and looking forward to a couple of motorway lessons - thanks Ian

Fantastic experience: Fab driving school teacher my daughter was extremely comfortable and felt very confident with Ian. He covers everything you need to know for your test. She passed 1st time. I would recommend to anyone thinking of learning to drive.

Fantastic experience: I've been learning to drive with Ian since October 2020 and i couldn't have picked a better instructor. As someone who put off driving because i thought i'd be too nervous or scared i feel very relaxed on my lessons and enjoy them as Ian's coaching methods are extremely effective. He's clear with the objectives of each lesson and his lesson plans flow well allowing me to keep going over what i've previously learnt aswell as learning more each lesson. He's calm and extremely easy to get on with so that you can have a laugh on your lesson making learning more enjoyable. If you want to learn to drive and worry about being able to become a good driver or if you'll be able to understand or even about the instructor-learner dynamic, definitely go with Ian Grey Driving School.

Fantastic experience: Ian is a great instructor. I have had 2 instructors before him. My first instructor was a really good but wasn't strict enough and wasn't telling me were I was going wrong. My second instructor made me feel paranoid all the time because of how strict he was and he would tell me off for making a simple mistake. Ian is neutral so I got the best of both with Ian. He made me feel comfortable but aware of the road and I ended up getting only 2 minors on my final test. Thank you Ian and I would recommend anyone to you if they was asking
