Master the roads of Hampshire with MTDI, the premier driving instruction service led by Matt Timms. Formerly associated with RED Driving School, Matt has established his own dedicated practice in 2022, bringing over 30 years of driving experience and a fully vetted, DVSA-approved status to ensure your safety and success. Specializing in manual lessons, MTDI serves the Gosport, Fareham, Portchester, Lee on Solent, Stubbington, Titchfield, Warsash, and Locks Heath areas.

What sets MTDI apart is its client-centered philosophy. Matt understands that learning to drive can be daunting, so lessons are tailored to your unique pace and learning style. Using a modern, dual-controlled Ford Puma, sessions focus on building confidence and safety. The approach is balanced: early lessons encourage laughter and mistake-handling to reduce stress, while progressively shifting to serious, exam-ready precision as you approach your test. With no previous experience required—only a valid provisional license and the ability to read a number plate from 20 meters—MTDI welcomes all beginners.

Technology-enhanced learning is a key feature, with access to the 'Total Drive' app, designed to track your progress in detail and smooth your journey to licensure. MTDI also provides comprehensive support materials, including guides for the theory test, hazard perception, and the 'Show me, tell me' practical tests. Appointments are available by request, typically during daytime hours, ensuring flexible scheduling for students. Fantastic experience: To preface this, I passed first time with Matt. Amazing instruction. I have had 2 previous instructiors before I chose to learn with Matt, and my experience with him was miles apart than with previous instructors. Matt has taken the time to figure out how I work as an individual and teach to my specific methods of learning, no other instructors have done this. There has always been professionalism and politeness on his part. The level of detail an analysis that is provided, as well as the appreciation of my individual needs and supporting environment is the main reason I continued my driving journey after dropping it the first two times. Amazing experience, best instructor in Gosport. Maybe even the world...
