Fantastic experience: Would 100% recommend, my instructor Kevin was super helpful with my nerves with driving never doubted me! And now I’m able to drive on my own

Fantastic experience: Absolutely incredible. Had both Kevin and Vicki during my time learning and they were both so incredibly kind, patient and supportive - I couldn’t have asked for better instructors.

Fantastic experience: I began re-learning to drive with Kevin after a few failed attempts in the past with other instructors. Kevin immediately put me at ease and quickly understood how I learnt best and how to challenge me. He is kind, patient and has a great sense of humour and we worked together to formulate lesson plans that worked for me. I have now at last learnt to drive at 30 years old, and finally having my driving license has given me the freedom to take my two young children out and finally do the food shop by myself! It's never too late to learn, and if you're in the Honiton area I can wholeheartedly recommend Kevin and Training Wheelz!

Kevin is super patient and very understanding but also pushes you and places you outside of your comfort zone to achieve your goals. When I first started learning I felt anxious but now thanks to Kevin I can confidently drive. I would recommend training wheelz to anybody 5*.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend training wheels especially with my instructor claire cross. I had never driven a car before and within a few minutes of my first lesson, I learnt a bunch of things that impacted positively in my later lessons.Claire was amazing with me as she dealt with situations exceedingly well, including times i wasn’t that confident in myself.The way she worked with mistakes that lowered my confidence was brilliant as she made me recognise what was incorrect,why it was and how we could work on it effectively.I always looked forward to the lessons as i felt confident i was working with my limits.However they were pushed to a point that claire knew I could handle as i grew as a learner, which always was a positive outcome.I will always look back and miss this time as it was such a great experience mostly because claire is the perfect person for me to of learnt with,as she is to many others aswell.Honestly i am so grateful to have had such a genuine person, who is patient, kind, funny and supportive.I know claire is an amazing aspect to this company and i wish her the best for the future with other learners & within this company!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Training Wheelz and Kevin enough. I had some previous learner driver experience but had taken a long time out before starting afresh with Training Wheelz. Kevin was very accommodating with availability around my working hours and his communication was always excellent. Driving did not come naturally to me, but with patience, and Kevin’s consistent and calm instruction, I became more confident, and passed my test first time! I am grateful for the emphasis placed on creating safe driving habits and mentality, over ‘just passing the test’. This has helped my confidence immeasurably as I feel I now have a solid awareness of road safety and driving psychology. Thanks for going ‘above and beyond’ to help me achieve my driving goal Kevin!

Fantastic experience: Vicky was definitely the best instructor I could have asked for. She was always lovely and helpful, and flexible with lesson changes. I recommend her to everyone I know. Fantastic experience: The Training Wheelz team have been absolutely amazing to learn with. I have learnt with both Kevin and Vicki who have both been fantastic at catering for my needs as an admittedly nervous driver. I have always felt at ease and have never felt rushed or pressured during my lessons, we have been able to go at my own rate knowing they have every faith in me. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without their patience and kindness, they have both been fantastic and I will forever be grateful!!

Fantastic experience: I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible experience our son had with Rich Cregan as his driving instructor. Not only is it an extremely hard time to find an instructor at the moment, but also one willing to teach a 16 year old with mobility issues, seemed to be an impossibility. However, thanks to some recommendations, we found TrainingWheelz and their fantastic instructor, Rich, who welcomed the challenge with positivity and determination to get our son to pass. From the very first lesson, Rich showed professionalism and patience, making our son comfortable driving a new car and whilst under the pressure of learning all the new skills. I was able to take our son out for some driving practice, so got a good sense of his driving before he started his lessons. I did not expect to see so much progress in such short amount of time - our son grew in confidence and became very competent, very quickly. One of the standout qualities of Rich was his unwavering patience. Learning to drive can be a daunting experience for anyone, and my son's mobility challenges added an extra layer of complexity. However, Rich always remained patient, encouraging, and supportive throughout the entire process. He never rushed or pressured my son, allowing him to progress at his own pace while consistently building his skills and confidence. Moreover, Rich took the time to explain concepts thoroughly, ensuring my son understood not just how to drive but also the importance of safe driving practices. Thanks to Rich's dedication and expertise, my son not only passed his driving test but also gained a newfound sense of independence and self-assurance. He played an instrumental role in helping my son achieve this significant milestone. We are truly grateful – Thank you!

Fantastic experience: My son had a course of lessons with Kevin who did excellent work in preparing him for his driving test which he passed first time with flying colours. As a parent I feel confident that my son is a very skilled and safety conscious driver and this is largely due to Kevin's outstanding teaching. I highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Kevin as a driving instructor as he’s patient and extremely encouraging which has really helped to build my confidence and ability! He well planned each lesson in accordance to my availability and always made sure that i was fitted in for a lesson somehow! I was also provided with an app which helps you keep track of your progress and comes with helpful resources. 100% would recommend this driving school for all learners!

Negative experience: I actually passed within two months after I was told I couldn't pass, with a new and much better instructor, after the awful experience with Kevin. Do not recommend training wheelz at all, definitely not an understanding and helpful instructor at all. EDIT: I do not understand why Kevin has to remove my honest review, just to make his service seem like it actually did a good job. I did not make any false statements, I have no reason to. I was intending to leave this review a while ago but did not have the time, but I want it to be known the awful service that had been provided to me. I chose to do further lessons -which actually allowed me to pass in short time- as if I had continued with training wheelz, it would have taken me months more to be able to pass. There was most definitely a bias in Kevin's teaching, as I still remember I was told he said we had a 'personality clash'. This is the most pathetic service I have ever come across by a company. I find it high unprofessional that a company is arguing back to a genuine review.

Negative experience: Awful experience with Kevin Sellwood, I would not recommend. My sister who has only just turned 18 took lessons with this instructor and he has ruined her confidence. He made her cry in the car and was not professional. On her last lesson before she was due to take her test, he told her that she would never pass and it would ruin his reputation if he took her in his car. Young drivers should be encouraged, not to be left scared and crying. I understand some drivers may struggle to learn but to have him berate and make my sister cry is unprofessional. Also it seem that Kevin cannot take constructive criticism and takes it rather personally. Edit: I have just seen Kevin’s response and I will not retract any statement. Zohra was crying in the car after you said “she would never pass” and then you asked her a few minutes later if she was ok to continue driving. When Zohra finished her lesson she was dropped of outside the house when I saw her coming in through the door I saw her eyes were red. It seems Kevin is not genuine as is trying to cover up what he said. To make clear this is Zohra sister. I have now started to give Zohra lessons in my car and it’s crazy how a few words of encouragement can change someone’s driving. This is why I have left this review as I do not want any other young drivers to be disheartened.

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience with my instructor (Kevin) he really helped me get the confidence I needed to be able to drive and now I have passed I feel like I can enjoy driving! I would recommend to anyone who is looking to learn with someone who you can get along with, learning with Training Wheelz also gave me the opportunity to take part in a Learner Relay for children in need which was amazing! I will be sad now I’ve said bye to Kevin but he has given me the ability to drive for life and for that I am super thankful :)

Fantastic experience: Since starting my lessons in April 2021 i knew that i was going to have a positive experience with my instructor Kevin. He invited me to zoom calls in preparation for my theory test in June and helped me to pass. He was so understanding and always made me feel comfortable during my lessons. From my first lesson to the hour before my test Kevin made sure i was confident in what i was doing. Thanks to Kevin i have managed to pass my test first time and i am so thankful that i chose Training Wheelz.

Fantastic experience: Learning to drive with Kevin from Training Wheelz was a very enjoyable experience. I felt confident going into both my theory and practical tests after the great preparation Training Wheelz provided me with. Having access to theory test pro and the Zoom calls that Kevin held for us really helped me feel prepared when I walked into my theory test, and i think were key to me passing first time. Kevins teaching methods and ability to make you feel comfortable behind the wheel helped me progress quickly in my driving and feel confident not only going into my test, but when driving on my own, as he took me on a large variety of roads so I would feel confident driving anywhere. I would definitely recommend Training Wheelz to anyone wanting to learn to drive, not only for their great value for money, but for the helpful instructors and their teaching methods which I found great! Fantastic experience: I’m so glad we decided to go with Training Wheelz as a driving school for various reasons. We could tell that the service would be amazing from the start due to multiple reviews seen online and the great comments left by many people. I started driving with Training Wheelz at the start of November and I was making great progress, even with two lockdowns that got in the way of lessons for a few months. As soon as we were able to continue, Kevin (my instructor) didn’t hesitate and we were back on the road again! Kevin helped me through my theory test with online theory test practice weeks before the test. Also, he managed to get me test ready in late June in case a driving test cancellation came along. Thankfully a test came along at the end of June and I passed! I would definitely recommend Training Wheelz for their great service, great value for money, teaching methods that work, and kind, approachable instructors. Thank you Training Wheelz for all your help!

Fantastic experience: From the word go Andy was an amazing instructor with my son. I could see my son's confidence grow & grow. He was very patient even when mistakes were made! Fantastic experience: After moving down to Devon and frantically trying to find a new instructor, I found ‘Training Wheels’. Which was the best decision as my instructor Kevin’s organisation of lessons and communication through email was great, so I was always up to date. Kevin made me gain the confidence that I needed for driving !! And I Passed yesterday (with only 3 minors) and I am beyond happy !! I highly recommend this company and Kevin the instructor!! Fantastic experience: My brother had lessons with Kevin and passed quickly so I decided to have lessons with Kevin too as I heard only good things. Kevin was very approachable and friendly and I enjoyed his methods of teaching. His lessons encouraged me to think more independently as I progressed, which helped me with my judgement skills and confidence on the road. One of the things that I think rates Kevin and Training Wheelz over other training centres is the organisation they had and their flexibility to fit around my daily routines. This quality of theirs enabled me to pick the lessons i wanted at certain times which fitted around my school time and sports. Further more they gave me access to an app which logged my lessons, the days they're on and the times. this app was more than helpful as I could also see how many times I have completed certain manoeuvres which made me feel accomplished after lessons.

Fantastic experience: I wanted a driving school and instructor who had good reviews and also one who lived near my home. Once I read the great reviews of Training Wheelz I decided to book with them. I enjoyed my lessons with Kevin (Sellwood). He helped me greatly to become an independent driver and built my confidence which has helped me with other tasks. Kevin’s approach was very effective for me. Kevin was very kind and understanding of my situation and helped me whenever I needed it. Kevin has a great deal of experience and is a great instructor. He was much more informative than. My previous instructors as I didn’t feel they were very good compared to Kevin. I would definitely recommend Kevin and Training Wheelz."

Positive experience: Learning to drive with Kevin Raven at Training Wheelz was such a positive experience for me. Kevin was patient, calm and constantly reassuring when I struggled initially, and was always willing to work at my pace. Having been incredibly anxious to start with, the nerves soon disappeared as my lessons progressed and I would recommend Kevin and Training Wheelz to anyone who struggles with anxiety that's looking for a driving school. Thanks to the time and patience Kevin had I was able to pass first time!

From the beginning i found it a scary experience learning to drive with my low confidence and being consistently nervous, so i really needed an instructor that was able to be patient and understanding of this. Lisa is an amazing instructor who really helped me build up my confidence with lots of encouragement and advice whenever i needed it. After passing first time, i couldn't recommend anybody else, it was an incredible experience and a bit sad that ive now finished doing lessons :)

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed my driving experience with Christie, she was a great instructor and never failed to make me feel comfortable. I completed a mock test with Kevin; her partner in the buisness and he was extremely welcoming and calm when examining me. They both gave me constructive criticism as well as positives throughout my experience. As well as being a great instructor, Christie proved to be great fun and I always looked forward to my lessons with her. I highly recommend this driving school and loved the experience. Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Christie to teach anyone to drive particularly if you are a nervous driver! Christie went out of her way to help me with my situation. She was flexible when I needed to cancel at short notice due to health reasons, she was very friendly and put me at ease when I was anxious and taught me to drive in an easy relaxed way whilst being encouraging and supportive on those lessons that didn't go so well!!

Fantastic experience: Kevin was a great driving instructor, he was always very calm and patient. His methods of teaching are great. We spent every lesson except the first one in exeter, so I would always be driving along possible test routes, which is obviously useful when it comes to taking your test.

Negative experience: The women is a very bad driving instructor took my test 2 times with her and failed then went to Shaun carpenter driving instructor and then passed so save some money and avoid her
