Fantastic experience: I would recommend Lawrence to absolutely anyone who wants to learn to drive, but if you are terrified of the road, have had bad experiences with other instructors or are just convinced you can't do it, Lawrence is the instructor you are looking for. He is incredibly patient, understanding, will *never* raise his voice at you and caters his lessons to what you need. He is happy to answer and explain any questions you have, demonstrates and provides methods for maneuvers but will make sure you really understand why they work. Lawrence also teaches beyond what is required for the test, such as real-life parking and motorway lessons. Even when you make mistakes, Lawrence will instruct you in a way that helps you understand how to improve, makes you laugh and gives you confidence. I always felt safe in the car with Lawrence, even on busy roads under a lot of pressure, which as someone very anxious was something I was certain I wouldn't be able to conquer. He has gone above and beyond for me as his student, and his method of tracking your progress over the course of your lessons makes your improvement feel all the more tangible. I never thought I would even be able to handle lessons, let alone pass my driving test, and today I passed! A thousand thank yous to the best instructor I could have ever asked for!

Fantastic experience: Lawrence is an amazing driving instructor who I couldn't possibly recommend more. I didn't start learning until my 25th birthday due to some bad experiences in cars in the past. I was incredibly nervous and anxious, especially as my friends had told me all their instructors would shout at them, something I knew I wouldn't react well to behind the wheel of a car. Lawrence couldn't be further from this. He is endlessly patient, professional and will explain things thoroughly to help you along. He also uses both verbal and visual teaching methods which was really useful to me as sometimes I need to see things to fully understand them. He's always on time and will work with you to find the best time/day that suits your lesson plan. I went from nearly shaking when I got in the car, to driving confidently within a few lessons. If you're looking for someone to be calm, rational and friendly I would always recommend Lawrence. You can't go wrong with having him as an instructor and I don't think I would be driving this well without him. 10/10!

Fantastic experience: I started learning to drive with Lawrence a few months ago back in September 2022 with no experience behind the wheel, and I can say that he is an excellent driving instructor. I have no issues with him or his teaching; he is very professional, very patient, and wants his students to succeed and become a safe and confident driver on the roads. Lawrence uses a progress tracker (a folded leaflet that the student keeps and brings) to note down the good and bad habits of each lesson. It's an organised and effective way for Lawrence and the student to see how many hours have been spent in total and what areas needs improving on. He is also focused on the roads at all times and would intervene immediately if you make any mistakes, which I found it to be an extra layer of security and confidence in driving. There was a waiting list before I started my lessons, but I can say the wait was worth it and I would highly recommend him to anyone. In the months I have been learning, he has never cancelled any lessons and have always started them on time. Thanks Lawrence, it's been a pleasure.

He has the patience of a saint, all the practical knowledge and skill you need to learn to drive well and is brilliant at breaking down manoeuvres into simple steps. The lessons are structured excellently, you will get tonnes of practice perfecting the moves, build confidence being out on the roads in lots of different conditions and pick up all the hints and tips you need not just to be well prepared to take your driving test, but also to be a safe confident driver when you pass!

He never criticised me when I made a mistake but always made sure that I understand why I was making the mistake so that I would never make the same mistake again. He also helped me with my nerves on the test day. I passed my test in the first attempt with just two minor faults. I would highly recommend him for the first time learners as well as those who need refresher lessons close to their exam.

He let's you do the one thing most other instructers don't do enough of, and that is to actually drive and lets you go over any mistakes you make as many times required to fix it. He let's you know all the required tricks and tips for the exam routes and will allow you to get rid of any bad habits. It  was such a great experience learning to drive with Lawrence.  He made me feel calm, safe and built my confidence. He was patient, gave clear instructions and helped me to pass quickly. Fantastic experience: Lawrence has been an absolute pleasure to begin my driving journey with!! Finding the right instructor is absolutely key to this lifeskill, and I am so glad I waited on the list until a spot became available vs. beginning with someone else who wasn't quite the right fit for me or going with a bog standard driving agency. He creates an incredibly safe, trusting and enabling environment which gives you the confidence to hit the gas pedal and get going. He understands each pupil is different and tailors his style and teaching methods to suit you - in my case, it was learning to drive on the left after living overseas and driving electric motorbikes, and teaching me to be patient with myself!! When things go wrong (which they inevitably do!), he is incredibly patient and calmly supports you out of the situation, explains the faults and how to improve, without plying on any pressure. We always have a good laugh during lessons, with each one being more fun than the last, whilst pushing the boundaries each week to learn something new or challenging. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn to drive; he is always professional and reliable, his methodology is on point, his lesson plans are excellent and the flexibility in choosing a lesson time is great for professional workers. Fantastic experience: I didn’t drive for 10 years and lost the ability and the confidence to drive. Lawrence taught me from the basics up to a point in which I feel confident and safe to drive my own car. It also took less than expected. Next week I will have my last lesson and I will miss Lawrence, the best driving instructor ever. Very patient, calm and professional!

Fantastic experience: My daughter really enjoyed being taught by Lawrence and we all appreciated his patience, help and advice in all aspects of theory and driving tests. He made her feel calm on test day and she loved celebrating with him when she passed first time with only one minor fault! Fantastic experience: Lawrence is an amazing driving instructor. I had an instructor before and once I swapped over the driving lesson experience was day and night. Lawrence gives you a great experience with driving lessons, providing you with a tracker to help know how you a progressing through your lessons. He’s very friendly and has a smile that will make enjoy your lessons. I only had Lawrence for a short period of time but I’m that space of time I learnt a lot of new things that I will remember for life when driving. He will always give you amazing advice and answer all the questions that you will need an answer too. The only regret I have with Lawrence was not having him for longer. Make sure you do you research guys before starting driving lessons, don’t make the same mistake I did. I would highly recommend Lawrence as an instructor to go for, with different ways to pay him with block bookings or pay for the lesson on the day. He’s very helpful and I’m very appreciative of him giving me the chance on taking me on even though he had a lot of students to handle just so he can help me pass my driving test.

Lawrence tracks your progress allowing you to fix your bad habits and to keep track of your weaknesses and strengths. Fantastic experience: Lawrence was a great instructor in every sense. Always on time and with a lesson plan ready, each lesson came with it’s own challenge and I was always learning something new. Fantastic experience: Before starting with Lawrence I had failed nearly 5 driving tests , had a number of different instructors and I honestly didn’t think I had chance to ever pass my driving test - my confidence was so low! With a toddler and twins on the way at the time I knew I couldn’t give up and had to get my driving license no matter how many tries it would take. Starting lessons with Lawrence was the best decision I’d ever made. He took time to understand what I knew and what I needed to work on, that hadn’t been covered. He was very professional , always punctual and a great communicator! He made everything seem so simple, explained every so clearly, was always so encouraging and patient!
