Fantastic experience: Alan is a fantastic driving instructor! From my very first lesson Alan made me feel relaxed and I was always excited for my next lesson. He helped to build my confidence and made me believe I would pass, even when I made mistakes. Alan is calm, patient and friendly. Fantastic experience: Nothing but positive words to say about Alan’s teaching :) I used to be terrified at the thought of driving and now I can say I actually enjoy it. Alan’s helped me understand how cars run, as well as make driving fun, and given me a lot of techniques I can use in future. Fantastic experience: Alan is an amazing driving instructor and I highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive. I came to him after a failed test with another instructor because my sister had started learning with him and was always so excited after her lessons. After one lesson with Alan I felt more relaxed in the car than I ever had with my previous instructor and looked forward to all of my lessons which I was able to take in my own car. He helped improve my confidence and was kind and patient in every lesson teaching me not only how to do things properly but also what to do if they went wrong which was incredibly helpful. Despite being very anxious all throughout my test because of his help I was able to hold it together even when I knew I'd made a mistake and managed to pass! Thank you Alan!

Fantastic experience: Can't praise Alan enough. He is an amazing and patient driving instructor. My daughter passed first time after his tuition. He always spends as long as is needed, never rushing learners and makes sure that students not only have the skills but also that they have a great understanding and confidence in their own abilities to allow them to become the best drivers that they can be.

Fantastic experience: The Grand-Master of driving instructors I cannot recommend 888 School of Motoring highly enough. Alan is a truly exceptional teacher. He has been so patient, friendly and supportive throughout our time together; always willing to answer questions, impart knowledge and offer reassurance even when I struggled with certain manoeuvers. He has instilled me with confidence and is largely responsible for me being able to pass my test first time today. His style of teaching adapted to my specific need, letting me set my own pace. I feel I have really developed as a driver, confident to take to the roads alone. Alan has taken the fear out of driving by offering me such kindness, calmness and reassurance throughout the process. I wish everyone was as lucky as I have been to find such a true gentlemen with whom to learn. I will really miss our lessons, but know I have a friend for life.

Fantastic experience: Alan is a fantastic driving instructor and i would definitely recommend him to anyone considering taking lessons. When i first started my lessons i was anxious, unconfident and extremely apprehensive as driving seemed so scary to me. Alan immediately put me at ease at every lesson and took the time to explain everything and answered any questions i had thoroughly nothing was ever too much trouble for him. During every lesson Alan made my confidence rise and i believed that i could actually manage to pass my test. The day of my test i was so nervous and asked Alan to accompany me as he was my comfort blanket, Alan was there throughout my test just knowing he was there was such a relief to me and i was so happy Alan was there to witness that i had passed my test first time. Without Alan i wouldnt be where i am today and wouldnt have the confidence or belief in myself. Alan is the #1 driving instructor and i have prebooked him for when my daughter starts her lessons next year. I know that if i need any support of guidance even though i have passed my test Alan will be there. Alan i thank you for everything you have done for not only me but for my children there arent words to say how eternally grateful i am i know i have a life long friend.

Fantastic experience: Alan was a brilliant driving instructor for both me and my twin sister Emily. He allowed us to have shared lessons when we were anxious in the beginning and then grew our confidence to do lessons on our own. He kept us calm and was very patient which is why we both strongly recommend him as a driving instructor. We also both passed first time! Many thanks Alan :)

Fantastic experience: After having my confidence knocked by other instructors in the past i was ready to give up learning to drive altogether until a friend recommended Alan. He is so patient and informative I found my confidence again and was able to pass very quickly after starting lessons with him. His lessons prepare you to drive alone and in all situations not just ones you’ll see on your test route. Couldn’t recommend anyone more!!

Fantastic experience: Where to start?!? Not only is Alan at the top of his game in the driving world, he is also an absolute legend!! I have made a friend for life! I will miss my driving lessons lol.. but due to his skills as a driving instructor and his patient and very thorough ways I passed first time! He was buzzing for me! Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing! Learning to drive can be quite a daunting thing however with 888 school of motoring that anxiousness went away very quickly. Alan is very calm, cool and incredibly knowledgeable with how to teach. Without him I would never have passed first time and wouldn't have had the confidence to do so. Fantastic experience: Lets just say I wouldn't of ever passed if it wasn't for Alan!! Alan taught me to drive 4 years ago, from the very get go he was calm, reassuring and filled me with confidence! Alan never made me feel uncomfortable when making mistakes, but instead noticed them and ensured to go through them with me in a calm manner in ways in which I understood best. When learning to drive I suffered with anxiety and lack of confidence and Alan ensured I never felt pressured to do anything I wasn't yet comfortable with, Alan understands that not everyone learns in the same way and does his best to understand each individual and plan lessons to their needs. Four years down the line Im now a confident driver! Alan is not only a wonderful instructor but also a good friend. Cannot recommend Alan enough!! Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: Where do I begin? I was very apprehensive to begin with but Alan was so patient with me and soon made me feel very calm behind the wheel! I really couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor, he really encouraged me and made me believe in myself. He wasn’t pressurising and really helped my confidence grow. Fantastic experience: Alan taught me to drive 3 years ago, and yet 3 years on I still recommend him to anyone as he’s taught me to be the confident, happy driver that I am today. When I was doing my driving lessons I had 3 different driving instructors, the other 2 were nowhere near as calm, reassuring and reliable as Alan. After the 2 bad experiences with those driving instructors, I took lessons with Alan. During the lessons Alan would fill me with confidence, along with his knowledge. Alan knew I suffered badly with anxiety but took this into account during lessons and helped me to remain as calm as possible. I have since remained in touch with Alan as he truly is a fantastic guy and I’m not the only one to feel this way as you can see from his previous reviews. I highly recommend Alan and have no doubt that he is the best instructor around, and will get you on the road as quickly as possible.

Fantastic experience: I came back to taking lessons after a long break as my test was previously booked, Alan supported me through the short time I had and even extended his days so that I would be able to have extra lessons up until my test. Unlike many other instructors Alan has adopted his own (very unique) teaching techniques which really help you learn and correct bad habits that begin to form. The lessons were exceptionally well structured and felt very personal and tailored to me which I feel ultimately was the reason I passed first time! Alan has a very likeable aura about him and makes you feel very welcome and safe, you can really feel his passion for teaching! I really counldn’t recommend him anymore . I was the first learner he took for a motorway lesson since the new law (June 2018), and I felt so confident and at ease, the same as any other lesson! Fantastic experience: My first car was an automatic which I drove for years and years. I was really anxious about returning to a manual but Alan was a great teacher and really supportive. He was very patient and also able to correct some bad habits which was awesome. I drive a lot with work now in a variety of hire cars so my lessons with Alan have proved invaluable .

Fantastic experience: I had a difficult time learning to drive and ended up having four different instructors, learning in three different areas, taking almost three years! My fourth instructor was Alan and third area was Hinckley. The main thing that got me through my test was Alan, despite not passing my test on my first attempt, he gave me so much encouragement. He really believed in me the way that none of my other instructors did, he always rationalised my mistakes and helped me not to dwell on them. He is patient and calm, and really tries to help you out rather than just focusing on the test. If you are about to learn I recommend Alan of 888, and if you feel like you are not getting the best you can out of your lessons with a different instructor I recommend changing to Alan. Always trust your instincts! I wish I had gone with Alan sooner!
